Went here mainly to try the famous Mille feuille. We choose the chef signature dish where you get to choose a started, a main dish and a dessert. We also ordered the caviar to start with. Maybe I'll just not a caviar person but I don't recommend ordering the caviar given for the same amount of money you can try two new dishes from the menu which I believe would provide me with more joy. My wife and I ordered the lobster and the shrimp salad dish and shared both. The lobster was the better choice mainly because it was a hot dish. For the main dish we ordered the rib eye and the sweetbread veal. The veal was the better dish given it was very tender. Finally for desserts both ordered the Mille feuille given we didn't want to share (who shares dessert!) it was good but maybe we had very high expectations that it didn't meet them due to the reviews we read about it. Overall a good restaurant to try while in Paris.

Best dining experience I had during my 4 day vacation in Paris. I made a reservation online the day before for lunch. When I arrived to the restaurant, I had my laptop and my luggage with me. I had just gotten in from Luxembourg via TGV. The hostess took my things and seated me at a table. I was dining alone which could have be an awkward experience but the wait staff was very nice and checked up on me constantly. I had the carte blanche for €65 and a bottle of sparkling water for €10. The chef made the selection so everything was a surprise! He also came out to greet the diners. It was so nice and personal. Fois Gras & beets in wine sauce 5/5 Cauliflower soup 5/5 Fish entrée 4/5 Steak with summer vegetables 5/5 Chocolate cake with fruit filling and whiskey ice cream 5/5

Exceptional food, but horrible service. Based on the food alone, this restaurant deserves 4 to 5 stars. It's definitely worthy of its one star Michelin rating: refined, well balanced tastes, and great presentation to top it all off. The wine selection was also great. Problem was, the service was bad from start to finish. Upon entering, they took our coats and placed them on the waiting area chairs and took us to our seats at a corner of the restaurant. Once we sat down, the waiters rarely approached our corner, and we had to get out our seats to get their attention before they took our order. When ordering, the waitress also seemed very impatient, and left rather swiftly. However, she took her time explaining every item of the menu to another gentleman across from our table, either because he was French or because he wasn't a tourist. Upon leaving, we found our coats still placed on the chairs in the waiting area, which was very insulting considering everyone else's coats were put away neatly on the coat hanger. If not for the good food, I would've given this place one star just for the horrendous service, service that I would be unhappy with even at a lower-end restaurant. If you don't mind bad service, or happen to come across a better waitress, then this is a great place to experience fine-French cuisine with a Michelin star. However, if like me, you value good service as much as good food, go somewhere else.

My family made it a point to try a Michelin star restaurant on our recent trip to Paris, and after a lot of research I concluded that Relais Louis XIII is definitely the best value in terms of Michelin stars (two) and price. For lunch, we each paid 55 euros, but keep in mind that other items like water and tea are added to the bill! The meal started with an amuse bouche of tomato and basil gazpacho with sliced radish on top. The refreshing bowl was a great way to both cleanse your palate and pique your appetite. The flavors were simple, and I appreciated the thought to make the meal something complete. For appetizers, I chose the lobster ravioli with foie gras and mushroom sauce. It was honestly one of the best bites of food I've ever put in my mouth, with all negative thoughts about eating liver aside. The single ravioli had foie gras on one side and extremely tender lobster on the other. When combined with the fragrant mushroom sauce, it was the perfect bite. For my entree, I chose the pork chop. This dish was a little simplistic and heavy in my opinion. Although the meat was perfectly cooked to a medium rare, the sauce wasn't as complex in terms of flavor as I would have expected after the lobster ravioli. The garnish that was given included vegetables and fried potatoes that were a little too buttery for my taste. Their signature dessert is the millefieulle, which I highly recommend! It is essentially a napoleon with vanilla custard cream inside, and it's beautifully crafted to a tall tower of flaky pastry and cream. It may seem like a heavy dessert, but they make it surprisingly light. Dessert also came with some house made cookies, but these weren't particularly memorable to me. In terms of portion size, the meal exceeded my expectations, especially with the size of the pork chop. Two Michelin stars is a lot to live up to, and I think the lobster ravioli really did that for me. In addition, I got the true Parisian Michelin star experience, complete with slightly snobby waiters with extreme pride in the institution where they're working in!

Most enjoyable lunch, a stark contrast to the restaurant we ate at last night, both of which are Michelin hatted establishments. Service was efficient and not rushed and the waiter kindly and patiently went through each item on the menu in English, but in great detail so we knew exactly what we were ordering. Very tasty and complimenting flavours through every course without too much of the pretentiousness you come to see at fine dining restaurants. Highly recommended and book well in advance!

SO amazing

Came here for a dinner tasting menu and the food was FAN-TASTIC. Service was very professional, the décor was antique like with stones and wood beams, and we had a small area all to ourselves. Things that stood out for me was the lobster ravioli with some incredible sauce, the perfectly cooked veal and the roasted sweet fig dessert. I LOVE figs and I wish that they served me a whole bowl of just the roasted figs! There was a fish that was very interesting. It was almost like a fish soufflé with an incredibly light and fluffy texture. I didn't particularly enjoy it, but it's always nice to have something besides the norm at a Michelin star restaurant.

Terrible experience. We made the reservation to celebrate our anniversary. Even notes and told the staff. We walked in at 9pm (last seating) and there was two empty table on main floor but hostess walked us up to an empty room. Our server showed up 6 minutes later and when we asked if we can be moved down he was all angry and tried to explain to us why the main floor is for "regular customers who asked for those tables" (this is an hour before closing). We asked him a few simple question and he seemed so irritated and angry with us for asking simple questions like "is there a wine you recommend" "can the bar make a cocktail" "what's in this dish" it was so bad that we stopped asking and didn't even care. They sent us more servers who periodically showed up to our table and brought food. Not one server ever ever asked how the food was. Middle of dinner they asked us if we want to move down to main floor and finally moved us to the same empty table we saw an hour earlier when we walked in:) during the main course my wife's glass slipped on the table cover and wine poured al over and the glass broke in half. The rude server rushed (not to help or asked if we are ok) but to pick up the glass and run. He never brought a new glass or offered anything or was worried about little glasses on the table. . We just shared wine from the same glass for the rest of it:) at some point the executive chef was walking around and asking if things were ok at the tables which was nice to see someone cares. Hope you don't get this angry man when you go there.

This is what memories are made of. Ambiance: A quiet relaxing, large room with classical furnishings. Only about 4 tables but plenty of space so you won't hear other conversations. Service: What you'd expect from a 1-star place. Everything you might want is either anticipated or delivered before you know you want it. You won't be rushed in the slightest so take your time and savor the experience. Food: Second to none. I came here for lunch and it was a 3-course prix-fixe. Having said that we got 3 amuse-bouches which were all superb and not simply a case of guilding the lilly - the chef clearly put thought into them. I had a lobster and foie gras ravioli for starters (see photo). Doesn't look like much in the photo but this is the best bite I've had anywhere in over a year. I could eat a half-dozen of these and die a happy man. For main course I had a two-part duck dish: one of duck breast the other of a warm duck and foie gras pie. The first disappeared in an instant and the second was a revelation as cooked foie is almost never good, but in this case it was melt in the mouth goodness. The only slight disappointment was the dessert (I had the mille-feuille) which was a little dry and ordinary. My friend had a tarte souffle (yes, it was indeed a combination of both) which she said was devine and wouldn't let us verify this by sharing, so it must have been. I wasn't drinking but the wine selection seemed pretty good to me and some choices were offered by the glass which again is a nice touch. Price: Yes, it's a pricey meal, but I'd say it's more than value for money given the quality. Guys, if you wanted a memorable place in Paris to propose this might be a good choice. The best meal I've had in Paris.

Very bad service, push you to order drinks without menu. When you order the set meal, they will try to revert to the expensive one. Very bad Asia lady waitress, shame on all of you!! Go to the hell!!

Le Duck... baby... it was scrumptious. ..

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

The mousse reminded me of a great guilty pleasure, which is eating straight out of the can of Duncan Hines chocolate frosting (ask me how I know, I do this often, going to rebrand it to me being European). Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops.
