The menu is only one page for food, and there isn't really any good choices for entrees on the lighter side. I ordered the fish (cod) and chips. The coleslaw was the best part as it was delicious. The fries were bland and the fried cod was soggy from grease. I only ate about a 3rd of my meal. My husband ordered the smash burger. He said it was fine, but said it wasn't 100% of what he wanted. The smash burger patty wasn't flat like the ones we've had in the past. He was happy to be given a pickle spear on the side, and he enjoyed the fries. He ate about 90% of his meal. The atmosphere was fine, but quite noisy if you're looking for a quiet place. It has an upstairs with wood flooring, so all the walking above sounds like stomping. We'd probably eat here again if we needed to, but it probably wouldn't be our first choice. It was a hopping place, so I'm sure they do a lot of business.

Another amazing Oktoberfest ~ 2026 edition! The beautiful…read moremorning weather brought everybody out once again... it was packed! But super well organized. If you don't like crowds though, be prepared - this is always a tight one. I love big crowds and busy spaces, personally, so I was in my element! * If you want a sitting spot (for example at one of the tasting room outdoor tables) the reality is that you'll have to show up at 10am or even before, for the 11am opening, and wait in line. Live music was on all day and it was fun to watch people in traditional costumes dance! I loved the merch this year! The Oktoberfest mug is beautiful. Also got a tile, tee shirt, socks, some cans... As for the beer offerings - I admit I am not a beer drinker. I pretty much only drink beer from Schilling - but I've learned a few things from them and going to their fests... I don't like pilsners and light beers at all, or any "fruity" flavors. I love IPAs, and I can do marzens and darker beers. There was 50+ breweries represented at this Oktoberfest, some from as far as Germany, and a couple of Quebec and Ontario breweries too! All volunteers were friendly and knew their stuff. Overall this was another great day, with once again the weather on our side. I attended with my boyfriend (on a designated driver ticket) and a friend from town, and we all had a great time! I'll be back for Oktoberfest 2027 :)

I am doing this review to help other travelers and hopefully the restaurant makes some improvements. Service: Expect to wait at least 5-10 minutes to get seated on the restaurant side. Expect more to get a server on the lounge side. Don't expect coffee refills or anyone to come over to ask how your meal is and if you want another drink. Food: Oh boy. Where do I even begin? The Caesar salad was served on a small plate making it hard to mix up the salad without it spilling all over the table. The croutons were hard as a rock, couldn't eat them as I was afraid I would crack a tooth. Asked for grilled shrimp cooked well. Barely cooked. Flatbread pizza...it was OK, but the bread was not cooked at all so really doughy and hard to handle. Naan bread can be toasted, doesn't need to be uncooked. French fries: both regular and truffle....both were served basically raw. Looked cooked on outside, but inside was literally raw potato. Insane. Eggs: I believe they are liquid egg and not real cracked eggs. Get friend not scrambled if you want actual fresh eggs. Home fries: they were also raw. I don't think they know how to cook potatoes? Squash special: the actual squash was raw and hard as a rock. Was it meant to be a decorative element only and the goat cheese was the only thing people are meant to eat? Why call it a special if you can't eat the squash? I ordered pancakes thinking that was safe. I am not joking when I say that I had RAW batter in my pancake. How can you serve pancakes not fully cooked? My partner's order had this weird taste to it, like his were cooked on a really dirty grill. there was this weird after taste. How can you ruin pancakes? Well, this place did. I over heard others at the restaurant complain about the duck salad and that their order was wrong. I saw people getting the wrong dishes as well. And people brought in coffee and tea from the free area into the dining area because they knew it would take at least 10 minutes to be waited on after being sat, so they came prepared with their own beverages. There's just not enough staff. You have one person setting up a conference room who is also being the hostess/host trying to sit people, but people end up sitting themselves since they stand there for 15 mins waiting to be seated. It's really a hot mess. The Notch Grille is not a spot I would suggest eating at. It has a great view, so my suggestion is to have a cocktail at the bar and that's it. It's really too bad because I will never stay at the Glen House Inn again purely because of how bad the restaurant is. They could have something great here, but the food is really bad. I hope this review helps fellow travelers out and that the Glen House Inn steps it up, as this restaurant is making the hotel lose business.

We got seated outdoors and didn't realize how many motorcycles were around the area. We had sort of a strange experience with our waitress, a little off putting if I were describe it. They did also get our order wrong once. We got the Smashed Gyro which was delicious, it was flavorful and came with a refreshing salad. The rating is strictly as this was amazing. On the other hand we also got BLT..and this was quite the disappointment. I believe this was Kraft cheese and it completely ruined the entire sandwich. It was so salty and the bacon was just hard not crispy. The bread was overly toasted and was just hard to bite through. I asked for pickles on the side but they were sweet so not my cup of tea but grateful that it was provided.

The bar was pretty packed with patron. There was one server and one group of four just finishing up. We were the last for the night. I asked the server if we should just grab a seat and he put us at a table for two. The atmosphere is very charming as others have mentioned.... Beautiful place. Very clean and organized with a fantastic bar. However, the food was fair. Definitely the worst ribeye I've ever had at a "upscale" restaurant. I've had better at Texas roadhouse. My partner had the lamb. At the price point, you would have thought it would've been spectacular. The sides were room temperature at best when it came out. The potatoes seem to have sat on the grill for quite a while...very dried out.But it was not. Ended up not even finishing but did bring it home. The lamb was not flavorful at all. I'm not sure if I should count this to being there on a inclement day and on a slow Sunday. Definitely two strikes against me. Kind of think I would like to go back, but the price point is way too excessive for what you're going to receive. The server however, was on top of it. We were the only table, so what else could he do.
