I've been taking my cars here since 2008. They always take care of me and never try to oversell me on service that I don't need. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I don't live in Redlands anymore, so I go out of my way because I trust them with all of my car repairs and maintenance. They don't bother handling you with kid gloves, mostly because they know exactly what they're doing, and what you get in return is great service and guaranteed excellence every time. This is a great repair shop (only for Honda cars). I have an Acura but they service it because of the Honda parts. This place is great! Probably the best mechanic I've ever had. They have honest employees who arent constantly trying to up sell me on extra services, so when they do recommend something you know it's in your best interest. They also are really fast with services with happy employees doing the work in the back. I believe that happy employees really speak about how great the business is. Probably the biggest jerk I have ever met. Went there to get my axel replaced and was convinced I should replace my accessorie pulley. I trusted him so I agreed to have this "repair" done also. This is where It gets rediculous. Not only did he replace my pulley, he replaces my motor mount without my permission. He says my mount was "shot" yet he can't find it anywhere in the shop. Well come to find out he replaced my pulley and motor mount with aftermarket parts which made my car sound like a tank going down the street. When I left there I took my car to a real honda mechanic who informed me why my car was making these sounds, this was due to my pulley not having a tensioner attached to it along with the mount being a 37 $ aftermarket POS WITH NO rubber to absorb the shock, returned 2 days later to have a talk with Reid, he became furious when I would not allow him to work on my car. He started yelling and calling me an idiot, lucky for him he is as old as dirt or I would of knocked some sense into him. Well yesterday I finally had the money to get these parts replaced by HONDA, Wow is all I can say. Car sounds like it should and did before I let Reid f*** my car up. Thanks alot Reid for ripping me off at the tune of 1,000 dollars. This guy is a liar and a fraud trust me, he just thinks he is slick enough to get away with it. read more

I've been going to Reid's for years, for all three Honda's that we've ever owned. They are the most honest mechanics I've ever worked with. This week I needed some maintenance replacements and Reid's referred me back to Honda because of the warranty. Dealership disputed the part was no longer under warranty and quoted me $800. I went back to Reid's and they were insisted that I dispute the dealership. It worked! Parts and labor were covered. Thank you Reid's for this. This is the only auto repair shop I have ever liked, and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! They are always honest, efficient, and willing to spend time answering questions. As a young woman, a lot of other shops treat me disrespectfully-I can't tell you how many auto repair men have called me "pumpkin" and spoken to me like I was an idiot. Found Reid many years ago, and he fixed up my wife's high-mileage Accord when Spreen wanted an arm and a leg to practically rebuild the thing. Until I got totaled by an idiot running a stop sign the car worked great with Reid's care. I honestly forgot about the place, as it has moved from where it was, years ago. But now we're on our second Odyssey, and I have an Accord, and I happened to drive by and remembered just how good I felt about their work. Reid knows Hondas, and he and his guys can diagnose issues because of their experience that others have to guess at. The prices are good,and better by far than anything quoted by Spreen. I now feel like our cars have found a home. I tend to keep my cars well past 100,000, and with a Honda may still be driving at 300,000. Forget those here who seem to have a bone to pick - this is an honest shop and they know Hondas. read more

Very good. Very honest. Honda and Acura only, but they know EVERYTHING about both. They do it right the first time, and do ONLY what is needed. Both of which saves me a lot of money. Just take your car in every 5,000 miles and ask them to do what is needed. 280k on one of our cars, 180k on the other. Both work and ride great, neither drip anything in our garage or on our driveway. read more

Superior service! Took in my 98' Honda Civic for an oil change & explained to them about a problem I had with it. They were honest & looking fr what was best for the "customer," they could have done the oil change & charged me for it but told me instead that the oil change was included in the inspection of the motor so it would have been cheaper. Sadly that same weekend my car was stolen & wrecked before they could do any work on it. But totally recommend it, lovely people & always looking out for their customers. Ok, After getting a quote of $700+ from Metro Acura, I went to Reids and paid $460. This was for a ballace from my Acura's headlight. I had to also pay for an HID light bulb as Acura kept my (WORKING) light bulb. Shame on you Metro Acura in Montclair. Whereas Metro Acura had also said the ignitor from my headlight was broken, Reids told me that it wasn't. And as it turns, Reids were right. Amazingly a mechanic shop that doesn't rip off ignorant (when it comes to mechanic stuff) women like me! :) This place has won a lifetime customer. read more

Back in High School, my best friend owned a little Civic and was always thrashing it. We had some great adventures in that car, going where no Civic ever dared to go (off-road, on the beach). My friend's dad, the most genius DIY guy I have ever known,was forever fixing up her car. He never trusted ANYONE else to do that job until I think my friend went through one tranny too many. Then, he went to Reid. After that, Reid was the only mechanic he trusted for the rest of his life. Fast forward many light years later to my situation, when I purchased a used CRV. After some questionable experiences with some well-known major car repair chains, I had almost given up on finding someone I could trust. Then one day while driving through Redlands I passed Reid's shop, and I remembered Reid and what a miracle worker he was with Hondas. I took my car in for an oil change. I don't understand the glowing reviews for Reid's either. They were just rude to me and incompetent repairing my car. My car was overheating 2 days after I was supposed to get it fixed at another shop. I found these guys through the internet and gave them a call. The person that answered the phone was discourteous and acted like they could care less if I brought my car in. I brought it in anyways because the car still needed to be fixed and the mechanic said I needed to replace the fan relay. $125 later I pull the car out of there and it starts overheating again before I got home. A day or two later I found another Honda repair shop in Redlands and they found the problem less than a half hour after I dropped the car off, a busted radiator cap. They charged me $25 and actually fixed my car, as opposed to Reid's. read more

Have been going to Reids for many years. He is the only mechanic I have ever trusted. After getting married, even my husband was blown away by how honest they are, and what great work they do. Our current Honda, a Fit, just got it's 200,000 mile tune up there, and we were told our hoses were STILL in good condition and didn't need to be changed yet. Gotta love that! read more

I do not understand the glowing reviews before me. Reid overcharges on everything. I just got an oil change from them and Reid overcharged me with 35 bucks. for that much the least they could do was to rotate my tire and top off the fluids which they did not. I found out later on that they used synthetic oil without asking me first. I did not tell Reid to use synthetic oil because my car does not need it. and Reid gave me an estimate of timing belt and radiator replacements. 500+ dollars for a timing belt replacement!! So I decided to cut my loss and pass on the additional services they recommended. I feel like I have been duped and robbed. To be sure I will not be coming back to this awful place for any car service. read more

I contacted Reid's Honda when there was a problem with my vehicle's AC system. The company was quick to schedule an appointment, diagnose a problem, collect my money and send me on my way. Sadly, I was also quick to find that the problem had not been fixed. After contacting Reid's and returning my vehicle to their garage, I was charged more money for more services that also did not resolve the issue. When I spoke with the manager about my concern, he was dismissive and patronizing. By the end of our conversation, he was outright rude. While I was refunded a portion of the charges, I ended up paying for unnecessary work and a lecture I didn't deserve. When the manager finally admitted that the problem with my Honda was a known issue, I asked why other work had been completed prior to addressing this known issue, for which he did not have a satisfactory response. I will not be returning to Reid's, and recommend that all go elsewhere for their Honda service needs. read more

I was very impressed with the work done at Reid's. They were quick, efficient and professional. They use genuine Honda fluids (important in Honda transmissions and differentials) and don't take shortcuts. They did not try to upsell unnecessary services and topped off the various fluids for free. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone with a Honda. read more

The only bad thing about Reid's is that it makes us only buy a Honda or Acura because we finally have found a mechanic we can trust. We have been using Reid's for our Honda's for I would estimate 7 years or more now. NO WAY you should ever go to a dealer again. The dealers charge you just to park your car on their property. Reid's doesn't charge to take a look at the vehicle and take it out to drive it. In fact, they've even done some minor wiggles and tweaks for no charge. I've dealt with Reid, his wife, and Ryan over the years and they've all been great. I've heard, "You don't need to fix that, they just want your money" or, "You can wait to fix that until we are already in there doing the timing belt to save you some money" from Reid and Ryan just as much as this needs to get done. Sadly, someday soon I'm going to buy a Toyota Tacoma so I'll have to find a different mechanic for that one, but everything else is a Honda, and we are so grateful that Reid's is fairly close to where we live. read more

Had the privilege of going to Reid's Honda today. I was trying to help out a friend by taking her car for service. I first went to Spreen Honda in Loma Linda. The service guy was so rude and looked at me as if I were crazy. The car is a 2012 still under factory warranty and Spreen wanted to charge $108 just to look. After feeling frustrated and disrespected I went to Reid's, I explained what had just happened and the lady up front told me no worries they will check it out for free. (By the way the concern was an oil leak) I immediately felt so much better. Reid looked at the car and come to find out the problem was simply some loose parts (oil and transmission) They took about 45 minutes with the car and didn't charge me a penny. Additionally, the lady up front whom I believe is Reid's wife took the time to explain to me how the factory warranties and the extended warranties work. Their kindness, honesty and generosity is so much appreciated. Thank you so much for making our day better. Take your Honda's to Reid's in Redlands! read more

My siblings and I purchased a 1997 Honda Civic for our Mother from an 85 year old man in Redlands in 2004. It had been garaged most of the time and only had 11,000 miles on it, almost new. My Mother asked the gentleman where he had it serviced and he said Reid's Honda. It's 2011 and she has never had a problem with it. She is on Social Security herself and really can't afford to take it to the dealership, and Reid's is VERY REASONABLE. One time when her car would not start, Mr. Reid drove all the way to Colton, checked out her car, left back to Redlands to get the part, returned to Colton and fixed it----all at NO CHARGE because she is a loyal customer. (She's 81 years old now). I am going to call him and ask if he works on domestic makes, I want him to be my mechanic! Thank you Reid's Honda for being there for my Mom. read more

I have a 1992 Accord that's in pretty good shape for its years. My clutch was going fast, and I found Reid's. I'm no stranger to a wrench, but unlike Detroit steel, a Honda's parts are components (not just an axle, rather, an axle, boot and seal as one unit). It takes some learning.... Reid got in the car, told me to sit shotgun. He tested the clutch (second gear burnout) that was a quick, efficient way to say, "Yup, it's gone!" I had questions. Reid answered them. He's kind of abrupt, which could be taken for unfriendly or arrogant, but I suggest customers see how BUSY that shop is. Reid's does a lot of volume, and Reid himself makes it run (not forgetting his wife who keeps it all straight and efficient). He knows Hondas. He knows how they wear, and can anticipate what is going to go next, and why. I found him a common-sense guy, and very informative without being chatty. I wanted to learn what was going on. Reid took me into the shop and showed me. It wasn't cheap, but I know Reid's uses all Honda parts (not aftermarket) and all Honda fluids. I saw how the work would be billed, and saved money by replacing the rear engine seal (which should be done when you're that far into a 20+ year old clutch) and making the labor commensurate with one charge for one operation. I was very satisfied. If you want something less, go somewhere else. read more

Reid's is the most kind, honest, reliable, and trustworthy car shop I have ever experienced. The ladies that run the front desk treat everyone with respect and are completely open and transparent about pricing, they take time to explain what the charges are and why they need to be done, and then they also write up a future list of things that will need to be done so that you can budget for your next service. I witness their kindness to an elderly woman the other day who was having trouble understanding the necessary repairs. Ramona and Nicole went out of their way to call her son and explain so that he could reassure her of what needed to be done. They treated her with the utmost respect and never for a second looked at her or spoke to her condescendingly. It was a perfect example of what customer service should be. I will take my Hondas here for as long as I live in the area and I trust them implicitly with our cars. I'm so grateful to have found this shop! read more

I have never been happier with a auto service shop in my life. I take my van there for anything I can. They keep up with what it NEEDS and I never feel they try to sell me something I don't. I would dread going for an oil change because of the all the services and items they always tried to sell me.
