They are a family owned business and the brothers were so helpful-- they did everything to keep me updated, informed, and ultimately very satisfied. I recently bought a 2015 VW Golf TDI so i thought it would be a good idea to bring it to the city's "German Car Specialists" to have it checked out and get the oil changed. They did the oil change as requested and also recommended a serpentine belt change. Called my old mechanic and got the same exact part swapped for $80 less than Autoscope quoted me. They also charged an extra 4% fee because we paid for the oil change with a debit card. Who pays for car service with cash? Then to make matters worse, a day after the oil change I got an error light on my dash to Reduce Oil Level. Called Autoscope and they had no solution and were not apologetic in any way. Took the car back in to my old mechanic and sure enough, Autoscope overfilled the car which can cause damage to the engine. (VW Specialists??) Overpriced, made errors on my car, and no attempt to make it right. I love supporting independant shops but I will never take my car here again. read more

Very clean shop, very professional and friendly staff more than willing to go above and beyond to help their customers. Rick helped me in particular and he explained the issues with my car and although they did not have the parts that were needed in stock to repair my car, he drove to pick up one and the other part was ready the next day and I got my car serviced very quickly. Each part took about an hour, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be so I was pleased with the amount that I spent. Other shops that I had been to would not take a look at my car because they wanted to actually see the car having issues which was only sometimes which was difficult. At Autoscope they tested different things on the car without a problem to find the issue. Overall I think the place was very comfortable, especially for waiting for my car to be done and I would highly recommend this location to anyone! read more

My air conditioning was not working in my 22 year old car. I feared a broken compressor or something else that would be expensive. Turned out to be a loose fitting that allowed the freon to escape. The solution was a tightening of the fitting and a recharge of freon for $160. Autoscope was able to work on my car the day I called. They were fast, efficient and friendly at reasonable prices. My wife informed me that our Volvo suddenly was making a weird noise and the engine seemed to be running rough. The closest dealership is in Ontario. This plus their service, the last couple of times was so-so and the costs were outrageous. So I researched local places and found AutoScope. Good reviews, and a local presence. Took the car in and in less than 90 seconds Nico (not sure of the spelling) diagnosed the problem. He turned me over to Rick and between these two guys the problem, from start to finish was solved in 24 hours. These guys are professional, knowledgeable, thorough and very helpful. They took the time to explain the problem in detail, outlined the solution and itemized the costs. The car has been running great and we just got back from a trip to the Pacific Northwest without any issues. FINALLY! A shop that I like and trust. Just been there twice so far, but I'm really happy with their speed and communication. My only complaint so far is the 4% credit card fee. 4% is crazy high - should just be built in to the cost of doing business, but if you are going to charge, it should be between 2 and 3% at the most to align with what you actually get charged. But, really - other than that, I find them to be honest and VERY knowledgeable about my particular car, and other shops have been much slower. Thanks for the great work! read more
