Flavorful and fresh sandwich shop. Tried the Uncle Jimmy, which was packed with prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted sweet peppers, balsamic, and arugula. The sandwich was large, a bit pricey, and very shareable. I'' glad I tried it, though it's not my sandwich of choice as the flavors can be a bit overwhelming (my boyfriend says it's his favorite though!) Service was fast and friendly, and this location is very cute / ambient but does not have a lot of seating.

Ordered delivery to the office for lunch. Uncle Jimmy was really good, though the bread could be better (better at Alidoro). Great Italian sandwich option!

Small Italian grocery in Chinatown serving up huge tasting sandwiches. Laid back establishment with cool staff. Buy a sandwich and take a load off dining in. My go to is "uncle john" but every sandwich is a great choice.

Small little charming spot in LES. This place is simple and exactly what we were looking for. The ambience and the sandwiches have so much culture and identity to it! We were looking for a true italian sandwich and Regina's definitely hit the spot. All the different meats stood out individually but came together to perfection. Most sub places these days are overwhelmed by oil and vinegar, but Regina's definitely lets their ingredients shine. Definitely stop by if you have a sandwich craving!

wow better than any other Italian sub I have had. I added the ham and sun dried tomatoes but wow.

Long overdue review. Worth checking out if you're in the city and you like sandwiches, especially Italian sandwiches. No frills place. It's tiny - basically just order at the counter. There isn't really seating inside, just a two topper outside. There wasn't a line when I went, but it took awhile to get our order because they prioritized pick up / delivery orders. I got the Uncle Jimmy without the hot pepper spread because I can't do spicy. The other person I was with got the same, but with the spread. Sandwiches didn't come with as much meat as some other spots and we did ask for extra balsamic, but overall it was good. Crunchy bread and fresh ingredients!

Stopped by because I saw it was ranked #1 on Beli for Italian Sandwiches in NYC. Don't think it quite lived up to the title, but they were good sandwiches all the same. Quite expensive for their size though, I expected a bit more out of an almost $20 sandwich. We got the Uncle John and Roman to split between two people and finished everything. I thought I would like the Roman more since I like pesto (nut-free!), but surprisingly the Uncle John came out on top. The hero was softer and fluffier bread, and I enjoyed the three different deli meats. The smoked chicken was good in the Roman, but not as flavorful and the stirato bread was a bit hard. Both sandwiches were just lacking a bit in the sauce/flavor department, I could've used some extra pesto in the Roman and more of the roasted red peppers on both.

I love the sandwich options they have here, they all sound delicious. I got the Uncle Jimmy sandwich which had some heat to it from the hot pepper spread which balanced well with the mozzarella. It's definitely very pricey for the size of the sandwich ($20), but delicious. Service was extremely fast for a takeout order. Cute decor inside!

Picked up the Uncle Jimmy before a Rockaway beach day and wow -- I was so impressed by this sandwich. The Uncle Jimmy had just the right amount of spice and a great amount of prosciutto and hot soppressata. The flavors just went together perfectly. The bread was slightly tough, but still really good. The sandwiches are definitely big enough to share (which helps justify the $18 price tag). I'll definitely be back for more!

I came across TikTok reviews praising this place. I tried the uncle jimmy sandwich, but it arrived cold, which was disappointing since I prefer warm sandwiches. The flavors were okay, but nothing exceptional. The prices seemed too high for what you get.

Delicious ass sandwich. Exactly what you want when you see photos and it tastes better then expected. Nice overall vibe. Service was quick and sweet.

Some of our favorite subs! So many delicious sandwich options and such a fun vibe. Uncle Jimmy and Uncle John are the best!

Great sandwiches and cannolis. The Jimmy is great with fresh bread. They are available for delivery or walk in.

Sunny and Annie's - Biden Sandwich on a hero

Sunny and Annie's

((4.5 stars)) Sunny…read moreand Annie's is very much a 24/7 neighborhood gem of a corner store and deli. it's packed with packaged foods--candy, chips, cookies, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, and a lot more plus the deli counter serves ups an endless list of creative sandwiches. i am not going to say this place is cramped but it kinda is. for example, if people stand in the wrong areas of the store, it will cause a complete standstill of a traffic jam in the store. my advice: order from the deli (and stand somewhere people aren't trying to get to) or grab whatever you need, pay, and leave. this place is not a place to linger. keep it moving. anyway, the obvious draw of Sunny & Annie's is the endless list of sandwiches that are handwritten cards that are stuck outside glass of the deli counter. there is literally something for the pickiest eaters--from hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, wraps, and more. some sandwiches are named celebrities, politicians, etc. i have ordered a bunch of different sandwiches and have not made it through much of the menu. you can also create your own Frankenstein monster of a sandwich. while the sandwiches are a big part of the draw, the insane amount of snack foods crammed into the store is quite remarkable from the large stand of Doritos, Takis, Cheetos and other popular branded snack foods in the front to the separate stand of Wise snacks to an entire back corner of the store filled with all kinds of chips, popcorn, etc. imo, Sunny's has the freshest-tasting Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. i know an insane take consider it's a packaged popcorn snack from a megacorp (PepsiCo), but i'll die on this hill. maybe it's cause Sunny's sells a lot of Smartfood popcorn so it gets refreshed often, maybe they have a secret in/pipelinbe from the factory, or it's just magic/alchemy. i don't know, but the Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn never tastes stale-ish like it does at grocery stores, the bags never feel deflated because they have been on shelf long, and the popcorn never has that soft mouthy feel but still has the crunch to it. maybe it's just me, but Sunny's serves a great list of sandwiches...AND the freshest Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. beyond the snacks, the service from the deli to cashier is upbeat and friendly. in all seriousness, Sunny and Annie's is an Avenue B institution at this point and remains a charming family-owned store--and is NOT a sterile modern clone of a neighborhood business.

Today, I got a PISILLO panini with ciabatta bread and it was so damn big! I had half of it for lunch and the other half will be saved for my dinner! This panini was just too long and big. I had to open my mouth really wide to take bites out of the big panini and it was annoying. It tasted good though! I love the balsamic dressing, arugula, tomatoes, and bufula mozz cheese the most out of the whole sandwich! The dressing made it really good and soften the ciabatta bread for easier chewing. My poor mouth and teeth! The whole panini cost $22.21 including tax in cash. There was an atm machine by the entrance in case you don't have cash. The whole place was very cozy and tight knit chairs and tables on both sides of the restaurant. The staff was very fast and I got my panini in not time. I did not have to wait that long. I was just amazed at the size of the ciabatta bread. They had many different types of bread that I can try next time like the focaccia, sfilatino, and semolina bread that looked really good behind the display glass. They got 35 different types of panini sandwiches for you to choose from. Most of them contain meat and there are some vegetarian options that are not so pricey. I will try those next time!

They call it the "Ross sandwich" as a homage to the Friends tv show where one episode features a Thanksgiving sandwich Monica had made for Ross that got eaten by someone else. Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
