I work with Leva. I usually get balayage and a trim. Online scheduling is easy and the salon is nice with merchandise you can buy. They always offer coffee or water. I feel my hair is great and healthy. A little pricey but def more affordable than other salons. read more

After a really poor quality haircut at my previous salon, I needed to find a new salon and stylist while my hair grew out. I stumbled upon Reflektion on Yelp and decided to give it a try, as it was remotely close to home, easily accessible via transit options, and had a lot of good shops I like close by! Booking at the salon as a first time client was super easy. I filled out a form and was contact via text. The scheduling staff was very helpful. Since then, I've booked appointments at the front desk when I'm in the salon on my way out -- also seamless! The salon itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. All of the products they use smell great and are good for you. The bathroom is especially cute, as pictured in the photos I have quickly snapped after a my last two cuts. I got matched with Reyna who is a gem. She really takes the time to listen to what I want out of my hair cuts and maintenance in between. Reyna is so fun to talk to and I have greatly appreciated her recommendations (K18, in particular) to help improve my hair health. She was not pushy at all when it came to purchasing the product at the salon, which I also appreciated! My hair has been exactly what I wanted each time I've gotten it cut. I look forward to coming in every few months & will continue to see Reyna, although I'm sure the other stylists are just as talented and kind! read more

Marissa did an incredible job on my curly cut. She did a detailed consultation on everything I liked and disliked about my current cut and the way my hair looks. She used all that information to give me a gorgeous cut. She showed me some different products and an easy way to style it. She also was just amazing the chat with throughout! Highly highly recommend you hit her up! See my before and after the volume! The salon itself has a great vibe and I love that they prioritize sustainability first. read more

Services: caramel balayage and cut The vibe is very relaxing and comforting, yet also professional. I had a service with Maria T. She is extremely professional, friendly, and attentive to your needs. She asked a lot of questions prior to working on my hair since it was the first time I was seeing her. I really appreciated this! After confirming my vision and goals, she did the balayage (using foils for the method for better color control) followed by a cut. The blow out was also great and lasted several days! read more

I was a new client and had a vague idea of what I thought I wanted. I was given a stylist , who, when consulting with her said she had a hairstylist that excelled in what I wanted and after I was introduced to Louis. Ladies, if you want a kind, extremely knowledgeable professional, he is the person to see. I loved the fact that he walked me through the cut that I wanted and literally explained everything a to z . He didn't miss anything. It's a wonderful place with a very friendly and helpful staff and management. I am definitely going back. If you want a very good cut and you want to be led in the right direction, go see Louis. He can't be beat. I can't say enough about how wonderful Louis and this salon is . read more

I booked a haircut with Nunu last winter when Chicago had below freezing temps and she was still an apprentice. She toughed out the cold for my early morning haircut and delivered excellent results! She's a great conversationalist and made the experience very relaxing overall. I heard she was recently promoted to a full associate/stylist, which I love to hear because she deserves it! read more

I got my first color here and am obsessed with how Marissa did. I wanted a light refresh, just enhancing my natural color. For the cut, I wanted shorter, mature, texture and volume. Marissa was super helpful in walking me through the process and making sure I understood all of my options as someone who has never done much to their hair. The salon is very well kept and aesthetic for your before and after photos too. 10/10 recommend! read more

I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Reflektion Salon and KTP. She has completely transformed and saved my hair. I consistently leave her chair feeling more confident and taken care of. She is patient, incredibly kind, and always prioritizes the health and integrity of my hair above all else. The entire team is just as welcoming and talented. Nothing but love for this salon! read more

Marissa is fantastic! As someone new to Chicago, I was nervous about finding the right stylist for a big haircut transformation and someone to rely on long term, but she exceeded all my expectations. She's thoughtful, detail-oriented, and always makes sure we're on the same page. Every visit is a great experience! read more

Love this salon!!!! I've been twice, and I most recently saw Marissa. She was extremely communicative and made sure we were on the exact same page before getting started. They create such a relaxing experience from the moment you walk in the door. 10/10 recommend!!! read more

I went to see Ema last week because the stylist I used to see moved away. But if it's possible, I think she did an even better job! She's so friendly and knowledgeable, and my hair already feels 5x healthier than when I came in. Would recommend to any new client searching for an affordable and skilled stylist. I'm Team Nico! I have been trying to find a new stylist for so long after the prices at my previous salon were not working for me. I posted on FB to look for someone would be able to do my hair, as I need somewhere accessible to get my hair done because I just had ankle surgery. Nico responded, told me about her services, and was transparent about the cost. I cannot say how blown away I was by her service. I was nervous as I haven't really been out of the house due to healing and she made me feel so confident about being in the salon. She treated me like I was at home. She would take my crutches then bring them back and walk me to the different chairs and would always help me up or down from the chairs. When the service was completed I felt like a new better version of myself. I was beautiful again and there was no better feeling. Nico was so attentive to me and kind. She even brought me out to my uber and opened the car door for me. Quality and care makes a good service but she went above and beyond. I look forward to getting my hair done by her again! read more

I've been looking for a good hair salon to go to for a while to dye my virgin hair, and I wanted it to be a first and amazing hair experience. I stumbled upon Reflektion salon up North in Chicago on TikTok, and looked them up and liked their work. They even match you with a hairstylist who fits with your hair needs and personality. I was paired with Nicole (@nicolebartistry) and booked a consultation, totally free, which I liked. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, everything was going well, and I was having a nice conversation with her. Now and then, she kept showing me how the color was coming out with my hair wet, which obviously, the hair dye shows up dark when it's wet, and we kept going darker and darker. I'm also a girl who doesn't know anything about hair dye, so I was putting all my trust in her on how many times she was going back and forth with the dye to make it darker. It wasn't until she finally did the blowout that, instead of having a nice caramel fall color with little reddish undertones, I had red hair instead! I showed pictures at my consultation and even on the day of my appointment. Some parts of the hair weren't even dyed correctly or at all. I wanted to cry at the moment, but I believe I'm too nice a person not to make a scene and embarrass others in public, so I left. I will talk to her in private about it via DM, but the damage was already done. I did not want to go back and waste my time, plus pay again. I paid over $400 and even more since she was recently promoted. The hair color did not look bad on me, but it wasn't what I wanted, and it was poorly done. As feedback, I hope the salon reviews the work of their hairstylists and that their expertise reflects the cost that their clients are paying for. read more

I can see why it's so hard to get an appointment here on the weekends! My co-worker recommended that I see Maria to get my haircut and she was not wrong! From the minute I walked into the salon, I felt like the salon actually cares about their clients. Maria was very thoughtful and thorough and made sure she knew what I wanted and made it happen. Wonderful staff!. Appreciated the "verbal tour" ! The salon it self is like one big hallway. And they offer beverages as you wait. I even got a new nickname while I was there. The entire staff seem to get along which is nice! They made me feel at home. And I love the scent of their products and the massage during my wash! I hope Jade gets her promotion for completing my haircut! She was amazing and so was her supervisor -Sincerely Mary Magdalen read more

Nikki (Nicole) does an amazing job on my hair. I'm blonde and I've been going to her for years and now go to RefleKTion since works here! Highly recommend her if you're looking for a new stylist. RefleKTions new location is super cute, very clean and everyone in the salon is very kind. They give you water with fruit or your choice of beverage. This is great because my appointments are always behind schedule, which is why I knocked them 1 star, however they provide great service otherwise. It's not a huge deal BUT my scheduled appointment this time was 4:30, they asked me to come at 4:15 so I changed my arrangements and then I didn't get seen until a little after 4:30. For me it was just kind of an unnecessary ask and especially since I still waited until my original time. But this is super small and may not bother some. Either way I have some tasty water for my wait! The salon is always full so I wouldn't over schedule yourself with back to back appointments on the day of your visit (I often do "errand days" and have learned to account for extra time here). read more

loved getting my haircut here but the recent raise in prices puts them out of my price range. disappointing.

Came here today for my first time and Leah did my hair. I asked for a trim, just to take split ends off as my wedding is in two months and I need my hair to be long. Leah did an amazing job!!!! Luis is an absolute hair ARTIST! He styled hair for me, my six bridesmaids, and my mother on our wedding day. Luis brought an assistant with him to curl hair while he styled, which moved each lady along efficiently. We never once had to rush, and actually were ahead on our getting ready schedule thanks to him which was amazing. He did an incredible job with each one of our hair, and the styles held up all night! Since our wedding day, I have already booked two appointments for him to style my hair for upcoming weddings. No one has ever made me love my hair as much as Luis has! On top of being incredibly talented, Luis is also one of the most wonderful and genuine people I have ever met. His energy made our getting ready process even more special. He is an all-around great person to be around and have in your life and I am just so grateful to know him and to have had him be part of our glam squad for our big day! read more

If you're a guy, do NOT go here. I went for highlights and a haircut and it was easily one of the most embarrassingly bad haircuts I have ever received. I asked for a fade and it turned out absolutely dreadful. I was mortified and didn't want to bring any attention to myself so I paid, ran out of the salon and immediately went to Great Clips to get it corrected. Great Clips was able to fix it (thank GOD) and even charged me only $5 because they realized what a horrible haircut I got and felt bad. The highlights I got were actually perfectly fine and I really liked them. I got them here before and it was also great experience. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming too. It sucks because everyone there is so likeable but the haircut was just so so so wrong. In short, if you're a guy then go here ONLY for coloring. DO NOT LET THEM CUT YOUR HAIR. read more

Went in to see Madison for my first time today for a cut and color. First they are taking COVID-19 very seriously and I was thrilled to see everyone in masks, not many clients a time and even letting me pay from my phone. On to the cut and color. My hair has not been touched since January (thanks shelter in place) and it was BAD. I came out looking like a rockstar. I am so incredibly happy with the cut and color and cannot wait to go back to see Madison again. Thank you! read more

Omg this cute salon is amazing! Great service and the stylists are so warm and professional. The prices are also very reasonable. First time client at refleKTion salon today. I was referred by a friend, who said lots of great things about refleKTion. Booked an appointment online, it was really easy. I like how they send you a reminder email. Arrived at my scheduled time, and was welcomed in by reception. She was so friendly, offered me a beverage and took my coat. It's the little things that I enjoy. My regular haircut place doesn't do that, let alone acknowledge your existence. I only had to wait 90 seconds before I was greeted by my stylist Ieva B, who directed me to her station. She listened to how I liked my hair, and proceeded to do a fantastic job. Really nice conversation too. The whole experience at refleKTion was everything I expected it to be. Nothing short of fantastic. It's a little pricey, not gonna lie, but I am really happy with the results. I gladly booked Ieva again on my way out! read more

After my second visit to RefleKTion, I am singing its praises! To be honest, I didn't like the stylist I worked with the first time. I might not have gone back if I didn't have a $15 coupon or didn't like the products they used. But I'm so glad I did! Maria, my stylist the second time around, was amazing. She listened to everything I had to say, took my lifestyle into consideration, and didn't make me feel insignificant for having such a simple routine (i.e. air drying my hair and not doing much to style it). She answered every question I had and thoroughly explained her processes. I moved to Chicago going on two years ago and have tried out three other stylists, but now I have found my go-to. I have been seeing Diego for about 3 years now and I can't recommend him or the salon enough!! He is truly a hair genius and knows exactly how to make my blonde highlights look natural and amazing. They also grow out so naturally so I don't have to worry about coming to the salon any sooner that 10-12 weeks! Hands down, the best salon experience I've ever had! Krystal C is the most gifted stylist and colorist who has ever touched my hair and has a client in me for life. She is so attentive, flexible, and really listens to your concerns as it relates to your hair. I showed her two pictures of how I would like my color and combine them both into my hair, she nailed it down to the T where I have people stopping me on the streets asking to take pictures of my hair color and where I got it done! The whole refleKTion experience is wonderful. The staff are so hospitable, the ambiance is inviting, and you feel warmed and welcomed as soon as you walk in. My first time, Krystal walked me through the entire salon, giving me a tour of their different stations, what they use, and their concept as a whole. They use Euphora products (European-based), which are safe and sustainable that protects and is naturally good for your hair! Every appointment I have, I always leave with a full-size bottle of something because I just love how it makes my hair look, feel, and smell. Krystal's skill and customer service is unmatched. Her knowledge of different hairstyles and textures is on point, and she's just so great to talk to as if she was an old friend from high school. Let me start by saying I am a pretty frugal, low-key person who doesn't usually care enough to / do much in the way of physical appearance. Traveled by this interesting salon serveral times in the past and finally booked an appointment for the first time 3 months ago. Probably one of the best decisions I ever made to call and make an appointment. Currently enjoying my second visit with Krystal C. (Stylist and Innovator) and I cannot say enough good things about her, the service, product, and overall experience. Cute and cozy salon with fantastic, intuitive, friendly staff. I have never felt so cared for and listened to regarding hair experience. I always have a super relaxing and social experience: Maybe in part to the free drinks and scalp massages. The hair products being green and the recycling bottle program are simply a plus to the affordable, professional service they offer. Hands down my best salon experience ever, even outside Chicago. Highly recommend. Nothing but 5 stars from me. read more

I cannot praise this place enough! RefleKTion was recommended to me because of their formaldehyde free keratin treatment, and it did not disappoint! Darlena took care of me and she was super friendly, knowledgable, really interested in listening to what I wanted, and made sure to answer any questions I had. My hair is curly with a LOT of frizz which makes it unpredictable and hard to manage. I was looking to loosen my curl and get rid of the frizz so that I didn't have to use so much product and heat on it. After getting the keratin treatment yesterday, I am blown away by the results. The first picture is my hair air dried with lots of product in it and the second picture is air dried with no product in it. I highly recommend having Darlena give you a keratin treatment if you want to get rid of your dry, frizzy hair. She awesome and I will definitely be coming back! read more
