I was welcomed at the door by several friendly faces. Luckily for me it wasn't busy so I picked a color and grabbed my seat. The chairs have the massage option and are super comfy. My pedicure specialist was Kelly. She was very friendly and personable. I really like the feel of the spa itself and the staff was warm and inviting. My toes look awesome and my feet feel great! I've been going here on and off for years. The techs have never had the best customer service (except for one- I wish I knew her name! She's younger and oh so sweet). My final straw was the last 3 times I've gotten my nails done: full set, fill and gel. When I had my acrylics, the tech who applied them also applied gel underneath my natural nail, causing my skin to stick to it painfully. Afyer the first time I foolishly thought I'd try again, and same experience.. she applied glue under the nail bed. I should have said something but tbh she wasn't very nice and kind of intimidated me. When I went to finally get them removed, the ladies took FOREVER to get the acrylics off, even after soaking multiple times- and once they finally did, my nails were sooo incredibly weak they broke after only 2 days of wearing gel. I cut them all short now to hope they will grow out ok, because they are the weakest and flimsiest they've ever been in my life (and I take prenatal vitamins daily), and they're still stuck to my skin in some places. I did my best to gently pry them back and the skin there is so painful and blistery. Sad to say but I won't be going back after this :( read more

The first time I went here I got Annie (the owner) I called ahead and scheduled a time that the salon was slow. She was awesome! The second time I walked in. Annie was busy and had one of her other ladies do my pedicure. She cut and filed my nails crooked and shorter than the cuticle. When I told her, She put her glasses on to see! Why didnt she have them on to begin with? I called ahead the 3rd time and scheduled with Annie again. I walked in a few minutes early. Annie had a girl in her chair that wanted a full set of nails that she just sat down. I said I scheduled an appointment with you. She says "oh I forgot" as she looked at the floor." You can wait an hour or come back" I just turned around and walked out. If you want a regular client this isn't the way you treat them with a nail shop on every corner :( read more

I typically would never ever ever rate something a one but in this case it's been bugging me and I have to. I went to the shop about three weeks ago on a Saturday two ladies and a young kid were in there working I didn't make an appointment as I had never been in there before and asked them if they could do a fill of course there was nobody in there which should have been my first sign of disaster. I sat down and the lady looked at my nails about three or four times and told me she thought it was time I get a new set put on versus a fill I thought that was kind of odd as I just had my nails put on about a month and a half prior to that anyway I agreed and by the time I left there 3 hours later I was so disappointed I wanted to cry they look terrible I asked her to shorten them and after four times of her shortening them I finally gave up with that's the best she could do. Three of my 10 nails were crooked and I kept thinking she was going to file them . The owner lady seemed very knowledgeable came over as I was just about done and she shook her head no that she didn't like the way they looked and she told me to come back into weeks and she would do it the right way. I should've said something right then and there but I didn't want the lady that did my nails to feel bad my guess is she is fairly new but if the owner agreed that they did not look good and she told me to come back into weeks and she would fix them in my opinion she should've right then and there just offered to redo them for me even though I had already been there over three hours and she didn't have a customer. Again I didn't say anything I just left that was the worst $50 I have ever spent and I will never be back I literally went back to my nail lady six days later and had my nails taken off and redone. The only reason I went to this place is my nail lady was on vacation so I didn't think going somewhere else would be that big a deal. Anyway I will not be returning to this place I understand new people aren't going to be perfect but when the owner acknowledged she was not happy with the way they looked she should've done something right then and there and she didn't and I didn't want to cause a scene with the lady that did my nails I felt bad. I'm not one to ask for a refund or to fix the problem unfortunately I just would've felt very uncomfortable having to sit there another couple hours while the owner redid it. I'm not even very picky on my nails but this was horrific. read more

Was looking for a nearby nail salon while I was out n about in hazel dell, and decided on this place because of the amazing reviews.. called and said I needed a pedicure, and made an appointment for a half an hour from the time I called. Showed up on time and was asked to wait 15 more minutes, which I was OK with.. after about 10 minutes they sent me in the chair and had me soak my feet in COLD water.. I asked for it to be warmed up, the lady came back and warmed it to just above tepid. At this point I don't want to complain anymore so I just deal with it.. I pick up the pedicure menu,and begin to read that if u have dry or calloused feet, and would like that taken care of, that would be an additional $10(isn't that part of the pedicure at most places?) anyway, about 20 more mins pass, and I'm just sitting there ... waiting.. feet cold.. finally, I'd had enough. My mani and pedi were great. But....I was offered a facial waxing, which I have NEVER had my face waxed before...ever. I asked if it hurt and was told "No, not at all!". I was getting ready to go on vacation so I let her upsell me on a facial wax. I know women who get their eyebrows and upper lip but I didn't even know that women got their entire faces waxed. I was gullible and agreed to do it. BIG MISTAKE and I will NEVER do this again. For one, it hurt greatly but once you get started you have to pull through the entire waxing. Secondly, my face hurt a lot afterwards and I wondered why I'd never heard about this hurting so much. Within 12 hours, my face started getting bumps all around my hairline and jaw line. It looked like acne. It increasingly got worse over the next 3-5 days. It had a clear fluid coming out of the bumps and looked a lot like poison oak. I used hydrocortison cream, and Googe'd what dermatologists recommend in terms of hot rags versus cold rags. Finally, on the 10th day, my face was still swollen, bright red and bumpy and VERY itchy. I called my dermatologist and explained the situation. He asked if my make-up was taken off before the waxing. It was not. He asked if my face was prepped prior to the waxing. It was not. He asked if powder was put on my skin so the wax would only lift the hair. It was not. I sent a photo of my face and he insisted that I get in to Urgent Care. I went and they determined that the procedure was NOT done correctly and the top layer of my skin was removed. I am now on 7 days of steroids, anti-inflammatory and anti-histamines. This was a nightmare and it's the 11th day. I had to reschedule my vacation until next month because of this. read more

My friend and I spontaneously decided to get our nails done and we usually go to this establishment. When we were greeted at the front desk, the receptionist was downright rude. She sighed heavily to us and muttered to pick a color without asking us what it is we wanted done. My friend wanted a Halloween theme and asked if they had any designs available, the receptionist rolled her eyes and pointed to the designs they currently had next to where she sat. Not seeing anything she liked, my friend googled the kind of designs she wanted and showed her nail technician and even ASKED if she could achieve that particular design. The design was a simple pumpkin face painted on the big toe with the rest colored in orange topped with glitter. The nail technician said yes. As we were seated, my friend noticed that the technician was about to add glitter on her big toes and stopped her. She asked again if she could paint the jack-o-lantern and this was when the nail technician spoke in another language to her co-worker (my nail technician). They both gave my friend a pointed look and my technician told her that it couldn't be done and to try another design. My friend, patiently said okay and googled another design. This time she wanted a candy corn theme, just on her big toes. She showed the person and she said okay. We watched as the woman struggled to apply the polish and exasperated, she gave up. She spoke in another language again to several of her co-workers, all of them giving my friend the stink eye and pointing at her. Finally, my person who was working on me told my friend to pick something easier for her technician to do. At this point, both my friend and I were annoyed and feeing unwelcome by the stares from the other technicians, told my person that it was an easy design and if there were someone else who could do it. Reluctantly, my friend's technician who was now obviously arguing with another coworker in a different language, moved so the other technician could finish the job. We got up and tipped them well ($10 each) and left. We are never coming back to this place and told several of our friends, who also go there about our experience. read more

I loved this place the couple times I went even took a friend there. I had a bad experience the last time I was in however and they made me feel like I was a nobody when I asked it to be fixed. Loved the owner and atmosphere until this..... I had to go to another salon to get my nails fixed that they messed up on after already going in there once to have it fixed.
