I came to Reena's boutique only because a family member who lives in the area told me about this place. I live in Leesburg. My parents live in Fairfax and I checked out a few places in Fairfax also. For whatever reason, since I was told by family about Reena's, I decided to come here. Especially since Reena said they could do anything we wanted. I am getting married in September and we were looking for kurtha pajamas for the groomsmen. In February (6 months ago), the guys who don't live in the area they are all over the East coast, made the trip to DC so they could touch, try on and see in person her inventory. Deciding what they wanted and getting fitted was a great experience. She was very patient, etc. She asked for 50% as a deposit (total for 5 came to $500). We paid $250 and she told us that they would be here early May, but she would call me when they arrived. Mid May - I haven't heard anything so I call her. She tells me it might be another week or so. No problem. Estimates are just estimates. Beginning June - no word. I call her again. She said the items are shipped and we will have them in a week. 9 days later - no word. I call her again. She said she has all the kurtha pajamas, but one. The grooms is not in there. So she has called them again to make it. It should ship in a week. 1 week later - no word. I call her again. Okay they have shipped, it will be here in a week 8 days later - no word. Okay it will be here next Friday definitely. Next Friday - no word. Call her again. Okay it will be here Monday or Tuesday for sure. Tuesday - no answer, leave a message. Wednesday - my fiancee calls three times asking for a tracking number. Wednesday afternoon - I finally call and I am PISSED. I tell her that she has horrible customer ethics by telling me what I want to hear and not what is actually happening. I give her 3 demands: 1) I want a tracking number by COB that day. 2) If these aren't in her hand in 24 hours I am cancelling my order, never working with her again and letting everyone know never to work with her and 3) Indian part of the wedding is ruined thanks to her. She keeps apologizing. Sorry is not good enough. I gave her ample chances and she had no idea what was going on. I finally told her that if she could give me a BIG discount for my issues (not 10%) something significant, I would let it go and not broadcast for others to never come here. I walked in yesterday and she gave me $15 off a $500 order. I yelled at her again and said I was NEVER going to return to this place. It was my first and last time. Reena is a sweetheart, but she is incredibly dumb and insensitive. I hope she takes my feedback and does what she says she will do. Do yourself a favor and don't EVER go to Reena's Boutique in Springfield. It is not worth it and her prices are not good anyways. I wish I had seen some of these reviews before going. This place is completely overpriced and ridiculous when it comes to alterations. They pretty much hate you for not buying clothes from them and bringing clothes from elsewhere and punish you for it in their prices. I took a few garments here because I had no other choice in the area. This last time they quoted me $65 to alter a suit! SO ridiculous! Luckily, I found another lady who did it for $30 and did a phenomenal job! I had given them a sari for fall placement and a month later, I go pick it up and it's not done even right and charged $25 to do it wrong. In terms of the customer service, expect nothing! This lady, I think is the owner Reena is so blahhhh...she is so impersonal and provides customer service like someone is making her do it. I have been there so many times to drop off and pick up my garments and each time she still asks my name. If you need alterations done, go to My-Le's needle which is also in the Springfield area. So rude. I came in to see if a seamstress can take my measurements so I can purchase a wedding dress. Her tone of voice and how the lady spoke to me was so rude. There was no consideration or compassion. "there is no seamstress that will take your measurements even for free". I told her I'm sure I would need alternations and would come back. She just cutt me off and I was so upset even more before after I left. Planning a wedding isn't easy and this lady just made me feel awful. read more

I must say that I was especially surprised to find some of the most beautiful clothing, jewelry, shoes, eyebrow threading, and staff I have seen in quite some time. Yelp told me it was an alteration business, but they in fact, create their own items that are for sale. Surprising me once again, they agreed to hem my son's tuxedo pants that he needed the next night for his recital...for no extra charge!!! Gave this place a second chance even though they completely forgot about my saree blouse order back in February when I went to go pick it up two weeks later, because I figured, hey, people make mistakes and the blouse I received was expensive but good quality and fit me well. Shouldn't have returned. They charge 75 per saree blouse if you bring in outside fabric, which is just straight up highway robbery. On top of that, I had specific but NOT DIFFICULT instructions that I repeated several times before I left the fabric with these people and of course, when I went to go pick the blouses up yesterday, they hadn't done what I had asked. How hard is it for you to communicate with your tailor? Icing on the cake: when I casually mentioned that it was my mom I was with yesterday when we went to pick up my blouses, the woman I had been working with was all like, "oh but how could that be, your mom looks so young...why didn't you get her genes?" This is not a joke. Never again. And I will make it a point to tell anybody in the DMV area looking for an Indian/Pakistani store to shop at to NOT give their time/money/business to Reena's Boutique. Their selection is below subpar, they are the furthest thing from professional, and have no problem adding insult to injury. I'm pretty easy going and forgive easily, but three strikes and you're out. I am writing a review for the eyebrow threading here. First of all, the owner is very nice and welcoming. I have always felt comfortable while waiting. I've had my eyebrows threaded at Reena's Boutique 3-4 times now and I have been satisfied with the service. I've had two different ladies thread my eyebrows- one was crazy fast, however, very precise; the other was slower but made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Recently we needed to have my fiance's wedding Sherwani altered. We purchased it in Canada, but couldn't get it altered before we returned home (long, frustrating story). We remembered that Reena's did alterations and we thought we'd try our luck. I have to say we've been nothing but thrilled! I have to say, my fiance looked happier trying on his outfit today than he did when we first bought it. I gave her my outfit. Was Reassured multiple times that it would be ready for the wedding we are attending across the country. We showed up on the day and at the time she gave us and not only is the store closed early but there are no responses to any of our phone calls. She closed shop early the day that we needed our clothing. Now we are out of luck as this is my only Indian outfit that I own. I drove 45 minutes each direction and spent $25 on toll roads to find a store closed over an hour early. So unprofessional. She even told us she would contact us with pricing and more details. Still haven't heard from her. Just hoping at this point that my clothing will be done properly so that I can move on from this experience. And that we don't get gauged on pricing. I'm a little late writing this review, but I wanted to ensure that Reena's gets the recognition and high ratings it deserves. I have purchased 3 outfits from Reena's, along with jewelry, and they have all been beautiful, and I received compliments after wearing each one. My boyfriend also purchased an outfit and received so many compliments at his friend's wedding, as well! My favorite thing about Reena's is how kind and attentive the staff is... we even came in on the day of the wedding and they helped me wrap my saree. So sweet of them! We were told to come by at 6pm we have called and are now sitting outside the store which is locked but says it closes at 7pm. I was introduced to Reena's boutique by a friend who was having a traditional Hindu wedding in Trinidad and I didn't have a clue wear to shop or what to get. At my first visit, another friend and the bride to be were greeted and shown every type of sari in the store and tried on five or six each at least. They were great at giving us the perfect ideas between the sari, jewelry, and accessories especially since we didn't want to wear something inappropriate for the wedding or stand out in a bad way as "The American Friends." After a couple visits my friend and I choose our sari and were fitted for the tops in the store. 2 weeks later we returned and only small alterations had to be done and were finished right then. The staff was also great in dealing with all our questions and showing us how to best wear our saris. We looked great for the wedding and represented NOVA well. Highly recommended. Not being used to shopping in stores like this I loved that everything was available in one place. The prices seemed reasonable for what you were buying, more pricy than shopping for an American wedding so you have to keep that in mind. With there help we were able to use some of their accessories with others we found elsewhere to make the perfect outfits. Makes me want to wear my sari more often and again. Cool experience! My only issue was an arm band that broke before using it. They were able to add extensions on to the jewelry as well. Thank you for the great help and putting up with us! read more

Starting with manager herself and tailors have been catering to my taste better than I could pick clothes for myself, fitted dresses fast and never missed a size. Reena hand picks her clothes and jewelry selection which guarantees quality. It came in handy when my two wedding dresses arrived ruined 5 days before the wedding... I ended up purchasing all my three dresses (mehndi and two wedding outfits) from Reena's, had them perfectly fitted and pressed within days. Maybe my original dresses meant to be ruined, the new purchases were stunning and looked original, my wedding party appreciated the looks very much. Some of their stuff is reasonably priced, but most of is grossly overpriced. They don't do returns of any kind and really crappy alterations that they will of course charge you for. There are other places that alter for free. Ladies are rude-- no negotiating. You will be ripped off. read more

Do NOT get alterations done here!! I needed straps taken in and the hem shortened on a bridesmaid dress, nothing major. The price they quoted me was reasonable and they said it would be done in a timely manner, I was impressed! HOWEVER when I got my dress back, the hem was completely uneven- too short in the back, my heels were showing! The seamstress was not there, but the staff assured me they could fix it and asked me to give them some time and come back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but they ruined the dress more! Instead of fixing the hem, they sewed on the pieces of the straps they cut off to try and make the dress longer, the seams were showing and strings poking out everywhere. It was shameful and terrible work, I was surprised they had the guts to even show me the ruined dress. When I told them I needed to be reimbursed for the price of the dress, they refused. I had to rush order a new dress as the wedding was the next weekend. After over a half an hour going back in forth with them, they FINALLY gave me my money back and reimbursed me for the price of the dress. Although I am happy they reimbursed me, I will NEVER go here again- they caused me a great deal of stress. They are just lucky this dress was purchased from an online store and not a custom made bridesmaid dress, because they made the original dress unable to wear. BEWARE! read more

My mother and I had a wonderful experience here having a sari blouse tailored and a sari pre-stitched. Marrium helped us, and she was a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job. My mom and I don't have a lot of experience with sari blouses, and Marrium helped a lot in advising us what style would be appropriate for a wedding in India. She also did a great job on the pre-stitching so my mom can put on the sari herself (see above about lack of experience with saris!). She added some lovely artistic touches to the tailoring. I have been to this store quite a few times for shopping, alterations and jewelry. They have quite okay collection and not so latest ones. The stock they have are overpriced and little outdated too. Over all its good but the owner is too rude and there is an old lady who works there i dont know why but whenever i have visited the store i have never liked her attitude. She is willing to help only when she wants and coincidetally she is always on call whenever i have visited the store. This place offers alterations, and facial threading. They also have bangles, sari's, and jewelry. Marrium was very honest and helpful, we told her what we were looking for and she sincerely helped us out. She also told us what day their next shipment of clothes come in, so we can come back and look again. They have a nice variety of clothes. A few Pakistani clothes too.
