This moving company had a truck damage my parked vehicle and both the driver and owner of the company, Hooman, denied it. Unfortunately, the combined brains of the 3 person moving team and my new upstairs neighbours who hired them wasn't enough for the bunch to recognize that backing a large 7 ton truck in a two car driveway wasn't a good idea while my parked vehicle was there. This moving team took 5 minutes to assess and maneuver around my parked vehicle when coming into the driveway with a spotter, and took 3 seconds to drive out of the driveway with no spotter when the move was done, which is when they made contact with my vehicle and damaged it. Unfortunately ICBC does not penalize drivers that make false claims and therefore there is nothing preventing drivers like this from denying damage instead of being forthright to begin with. They have nothing to lose by making false claims.

I had been confused why there was such discrepancy in quotes for moving across Canada. They taught me how to confirm a company is part of the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) {check with www.mover.net or call 1-866-860-0065}. And, to ensure the company is also accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They came to the house, took inventory of the belongings and provided a quote with weight, cost, itemized inventory etc... Both of the Shawn's were highly personable, helpful and quick to answer questions. The quote was competitive and I am happy to have come across this local gem.
