Great service and strongly recommended! Out roof is old and some shakes starts to falling off. We decided to fix them first. ( then see how to replace the roof,which would be a big project). I reach out to redmond roofing and connected to Rochelle. She is very kind and helpful. Especially when she got to know that our shake already fell off, she tried to arranged a time as close as possible. Esteban shows up on time and with his tools. If nothing needed then no charges will be made. He padded the missing shakes and repaired some lose ones. Job was done clean and quick. Like two weeks later, I noticed another shake seems to be failing so I emailed Rochelle and asked whether they could make a follow up on this one. Good job done by this company on my roof. There was a defect on the roof left by the builder, and it started to leak over this rainy season. Antonio showed up on exact scheduled time, did great job inspecting the site, and finished the repairment. He showed me the defect and how he fixed it. I really appreciate his great communication. Thank God for Redmond Roofing! After a recent storm we discovered a leak above our bathroom window. We called three companies. The first guy told us that it was too small a job for him and that we should find a handyman. Then two clowns from another company turned up and told me the issue was with our roof and we need to replace the entire roof (our roof is 10 years old and in good condition. And they didn't even go up on the roof to try to find the leak.) Then Chris from Redmond Roofing came. We called them on a Saturday morning so didn't expect anyone until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. Chris was at our house within 4 hours. He climbed up on the roof, found the leak and temporarily fixed it -- for NO CHARGE. He told us that they would order parts and come back to fix the leak the properly -- which they did and it cost about $300. We haven't had an issue since. This is the only company I'm going to recommend to anyone who asks and when it does come time to replace my roof, I'll be calling them. Extremely professional and a great service. Bob, President of Redmond Roofing gets 5 stars. He is very responsive. When I elected to perform the reroofing of our detached garage myself, the credit that he gave me totaling $3,500 was very fair. I had several special requests related to roofing products and schedule. He accommodated all of them the best that he could. Due to my work on our garage, I was very dialed in to the installation instructions for the products that Redmond Roofing installed. I was up on the roofing observing the crew's work more than 50% of the time while the work was in progress. The reason that Redmond Roofing does not receive 5 stars is due to quality issues with the installation. Most aspects of the project were done well. The cleanup was good. The tear off was performed quickly and efficiently and the deck was smooth and clean when the underlayment went down. The work was performed on July 10th and 11th, 2017. My quality objections are as follows: During the tear off and cleanup process it was very clear that John was in charge. Once tear off and initial cleanup was complete, John left the site. He did not say anything about who among the remaining 3 roofers was in charge. I communicated with Moses whom, as far as I could discern, was the only roofer who spoke English and was the one who seemed most concerned about performing the work correctly. The difficulty was that as far as I could tell, no one was in charge. Each roofer was intent on applying shingles as rapidly as possible. Each roofer worked on his own area, no one from the company reviewed the work for conformance to the manufacturer's installation instructions. After the roofers had applied the underlayment, Redmond Roofing's supplier Stoneway Roofing showed up with the 3 tab roofing material. The operator of the Stoneway delivery truck extended the outriggers and began to unfurl the boom. Midway through this process, the hydraulics on the truck froze. With the outriggers on the ground the truck could not move and the bundles of roofing material stayed on the truck. All the workers from both firms hung out for 3 or 4 hours while everyone waited for Stoneway to fix the truck. While this was going on, I kept busy around the house thinking that our roofing project would likely not be affected by the broken truck. I was mistaken. Apparently the roofers had another project starting in 1 or 2 days. Due to the delay, they had to complete as much work as possible on our roof that day. So instead of rescheduling the next job, they worked extra fast and stayed on our roof till 7 or 8 in the evening. The Company's contract states that all roof penetration perimeters (pipes, vents, skylights and chimneys) will be wrapped with self-adhering membrane. When one of the crew members (I will call him Roofer X) got to the first plumbing vent, he shingled right up to it. I called over Moses and showed him the contract language. Moses explained the deficiency to Roofer X who removed a shingle and the nails holding it down so that he could apply the membrane (WeatherLock by Owens Corning.) The crew had already applied underlayment to the roof deck so X had to slit the underlayment, and pull it up in order to apply the self-adhering membrane. If I had not been up on the roof watching the crew member would have skipped the membrane entirely. I suspect that membrane for the other penetrations would have been skipped as well. Installation instructions for the CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles that were installed include a diagram that shows correct and incorrect installation of roofing nails. While observing the roofers I noticed that about 1 in every 10 or 15 nails was being overdriven, tearing the shingle fabric. I pointed this out to Moses who adjusted pressure on the air compressor and changed a setting on his nail gun. Roofers X and Y also dialed back their nail guns. With the new settings, some nails were being under driven so the roofers used a hammer to tap them home. After 20 or 30 minutes Roofer X began overdriving the occasional nail. I pointed out one of the ones that was overdriven and he adjusted his gun. In another 20 or 30 minutes he again started overdriving some of the nails. This process continued until shingle application was nearly complete. I was dissatisfied with the quality of the installation but as there was no one in charge all I could do was fume. As stated earlier, the breakdown of the Stoneway Roofing truck had thrown off the schedule. Consequently Roofer X was all about getting the job done as quickly as possible. My neighbor used Redmond Roofing for his reroofing project and was very satisfied. The crew that did the work at our house was different than the crew that reroofed the neighbor's house. I suspect that, because our work was being performed during peak season, we were assigned the B team. I probably would not use Redmond Roofing again. read more

Avoid this roofing company at all costs. They make multiple mistakes, don't own up to it, and take zero accountability for their mistakes. You are better off with other roofing companies in the area.  Although the actual quality of work from this company is decent, the level of unprofessionalism from their office combined with the careless mistakes they made resulted in a bad sour taste for me. In addition to multiple rescheduling, Redmond Roofing made 3 strikes that led to this low rating review: 1. The original assessment missed the need for a flapper vent installation. On the service day, this was added as an extra cost to the invoice.  2. The original assessment missed the need for a 3rd spout extension installation. We had to schedule a second service day and, of course, this was an extra cost to the invoice not originally captured in the quote.  3. When asked for an explanation for the multiple misses, the repairman deferred to the head office. The head office manager, Rochelle Black, was nasty and rude when responding to the inquiry. She first tried to shift the blame back to the repairman, then said that there was a mistake in a challenging manner ala "now what are you going to do with it?". I was very put off by Rochelle's lack of customer service manners, yet I clarified that all I'm asking for is an explanation and an apology. She nastily said that they won't beg and go down on their knees about it. I clarified again that that wasn't what I was looking for and asked Rochelle if she realized that their mistakes have caused me extra money that wasn't planned for. Rochelle denied it and proposed a solution that was not a solution at all (uninstall the 2nd downspout and install it on the 3rd downspout location). There was no apology for the mistakes and for the inconvenience, no accountability at all. Some time later, I received a 1-line email from Rochelle stating that they won't charge for the flapper vent and consider the repair contract completed. This is despite the still-missing 3rd downspout that was included in the contract. I had to spend even more time to write to Rochelle explaining that I don't mind paying for the flapper vent, but don't consider the repair contract to be completed as the 3rd downspout was still missing. The repairman showed up sometime later to complete the job. When I reminded him that, when other businesses made mistakes, they typically eat the costs of fixing the mistakes instead of charging it back to the customer - the repairman actually had the decency to apologize.  What really disgusts me from this interaction is the lack of ownership of one's own mistakes and the lack of accountability and customer orientation. Seriously, give your business to the many other roofing companies in the area - you would be glad to stay away from Redmond Roofing.  If the above is still not enough to convince you, I just noticed that Rochelle Black gave Redmond Roofing a 5 star review on Google Review about 4 months ago (June 2020). No doubt in an effort to boost the rating of this company online. I've reported this conflict of interest to Google. read more

Well...where do I begin other than this company shines above all others, hands down. Had Bob and his team do a complete reroof, gutters, skylights and the works a couple of years ago and they performed on time and on budget. So fast forward to today and we have noticed some moisture recently on the ceiling around my fireplace....not good. So I called their office this morning, Dale showed up not long afterwards and then sent me some photos of a chimney covering that had come loose in a wind recently that he just went ahead and fixed....problem solved!! And the greatest thing about it was Redmond Roofing didn't install it, but fixed it anyway as part of their good old fashion customer care. I wish I could follow others and recommend Redmond Roofing, but I cannot. Perhaps if you have a very straight-forward roofing job, they may be your guys, but for our roof they just were not up to the challenge. Our roof consists of 11 separate unconnected roofs with both round and rectangle skylights all around. By no means a typical roof but Bob Hernacki, the owner, was confident they could do it and they were recommended by others in the area, so we did not shop around (our mistake). The tear down and initial work all went as well as can be expected. In fact, I have nothing but good things to say about the crew. They showed up promptly each day, were extremely efficient in their work, and when doing the final finish work, they were very patient with me as I pointed to various things that needed little tweaks (mostly touchup painting). However, when there exceptions along the way, Redmond Roofing (Bob Hernacki) did not set expectations with us on what the results would be and that has left us with substandard results that we now have to live with for years to come. First example (at an additional cost to us of $875) was when he recommended we replace one of our skylights. Okay, they are old and not the project we intended to take on right now, but this skylight had failed, and he suggested we replace it. His first option suggested was to use a stock size replacement that would be too long and somehow build up a pretend ridge to make it appear to be the right size. Very sketchy approach. Instead, we opted for the custom made to order solution that would be the right size. However, when it came, it turns out they didn't account for the frame of the skylight in their size estimate and it left a gap between the glass and inside frame where you could now see the insulation when looking through the light. Bob tried several times to convince me that this is the way it should be and only after talking with the crew did we reach a compromise to add new trim around the inside of the skylight so the insulation could no longer be seen. Second example, on our final review of the work, I noticed a section of roof that was still the old stuff. I pointed out to Bob and he said that was never part of the job. His thinking was that it connected the house roof to the pool roof and this was part of the pool roof even though the pool roof was a completely separate polycarbonate structure and this section had the same flashing and membrane as the rest of the house roof. He would be happy to reroof that portion but only at an additional cost. The challenge with this is one of expectations. My expectation was that this was part of the house roof and would be new when the job was finished. Instead, I still have one section that I need to go deal with since Bob did not. Perhaps this is a problem we face when the business owner never meets with the customer in-person, but I put this on Bob to figure out how to make it right and not the customer. I now get to write a $31k check for a roof that I am not satisfied with and is not finished. That just does not sit well with me and is why I cannot recommend you choose Redmond Roofing. For those reading this far - remember, it's all about setting the right expectations. Be sure to know what you're paying for because it may not be what you get. As Becky mentions below, Redmond Roofing really didn't do a complete job setting or meeting expectations. read more

We actually had Redmond roofing install a new roof on our home about eight years ago and they did a wonderful job. Very professional and they cleaned up really well behind themselves on a daily basis which was important to me since I have two small children. We recently had our roof cleaned from another service that noticed a nail was poking through one of the shingles. I called Bob and they came out right away to take care of it free of charge. One of the reasons I selected Redmond roofing over other bidders was I wanted a local family owned company so if we ever needed them in the future they would be there for us, I'm sure glad I did and it's wonderful to work with people that stand behind their product as well as Redmond roofing. Redmond Roofing reroofed our house with heavy shake about a year ago. They also replaced two skylights. I was pleased with everything, including the quality of the shake, cleanup, etc. Earlier this week we discovered that bees had eaten through the liner of one of the skylights. It wasn't leaking, but bees were entering the house as the cold nights of winter approached. I called Redmond Roofing and they came out two hours later -- I couldn't believe how quickly they responded. They sprayed something to get the bees to clear out and resealed the skylight. Redmond roofing came out within a week of calling and did a great job. Since they couldn't come out for 5-6 days, they put a tarp over our leaks which they credited on our bill which was cool. I called and emailed Bob, the owner a lot and he always was very courteous. Originally they thought it was an easy 1-2 day job, but half the roof was very wet and many soft spots underneath the old shingles so it took 3 days( Monday 1pm to Thursday 1pm) I needed 20 Osb boards which is a ton so I inquired about a volume discount and gave me 10% discount off which he didn't have to do. Víctor and Jesus were the two man crew and are very experienced and great attitudes. They allowed me to be on the roof while they removed the Osb(4x8 plywood roof sheets) and I removed the wet insulation and replaced it with the new insulation they provided. They would've done that I'm sure but I just wanted do that. We found out the 2 bathroom fan vents were vented incorrectly to the roof vents so they made two new vents on the roof. They also removed some rotten facia boards. I did have to go to Home Depot once as the crew forgot to bring some facia boards which was an annoyance but all in all, I highly recommend them! read more

Not exactly what I expected from a company with high review ratings - The team was to simply replace a 2x2 skylight curb flashing system and replace all affected roofing shingles. This is a 3-4 hour job tops but it ended up taking 4 days. First, on the Friday scheduled installation, the installer did not bring the right height ladder, then the next day they showed up at 6pm (already dark) and started the work but did not complete. Next day, the showed up for 30 minutes and just left without finishing the job and finally on Monday I called the corporate office and complained and the job was finally completed. This is a pretty straight forward bad experience and for the price I was charged, this will be the last time I use these guys. read more

So I have three guys, at the front door, demanding 1000$ more, and when I refused showing the estimate the conversation went far downhill. My kids were at home I didn't need this. They were reasonably priced, they were able to fit our small house in between two larger jobs so that when the rain dumped on us Labor Day weekend, all the rain stayed OUTSIDE! After purchasing a home and inspection coming back and saying that the roof would need to be replaced in 2-5 years, we thought we'd have a roof specialist come take a closer look. It turned out to be more urgent than that. So Redmond Roofing had someone out the next day to take some measurements and give a quote, which turned out to be MUCH lower than we expected. We decided to move forward. Everything was seamless. The product selection was great, communication was a breeze, all of the guys who came out to work were very kind and professional, they even started the job about 4 weeks sooner than they'd originally estimated they could because there was a window in their schedule that they worked hard to squeeze us into. These guys are awesome. I've had them out twice, once to add flapper vents for a couple of bath fans and once to check out the flashing on my chimney which I though might be leaking (turned out to be the chimney itself). Both times they were prompt, friendly and in the case of the chimney they caulked it as a temporary fix until I could have a mason come out and they did it free of charge. Good service is hard to find, especially in the construction industry. Check them out if you need a new roof or service on your existing one. read more

When I call them back two weeks later, they also promise to stop by the house the next day to look at the roof but again, no show. It's been over a month or so and did not hear from them. I am vet disappointed by the way that I was treated when I decided not to continue with Redmond roofing services. Firstly I had Redmond roofing come over to give me a quote to fix my roof leaks. In the meantime they would put tarps up to ensure no more further leaks. The day after they put the tarps up my roof continued to leak, which means they didn't do the job correctly the first time and they had to come back a second time. This was the day of thanks giving so I had to wait a day. I then asked another roofing company to come and give me a second quote and when they went to look on the roof they mentioned that the tarps had been nailed into the roof and this would cause further damage and leaks. I still got an invoice from Redmond roofing and when I called to pay, the owner Bob, was rude and abrupt and defensive around how they are roof experts and he doesn't have time to meet with anyone as he is busy. I was completely shocked that there was no empathy or concern to fix the problem and keep a potential customer happy. It's a pity that Redmond roofing was a referral from a friend and unfortunately I won't be carrying that referral forward based on my experience. read more
