Let's start by saying these guys live in our neighborhood, so that's a great start. But that doesn't automatically make them great. Thier finished product, the roof (and gutters etc) doesn't even make them great (although the roof is outstanding). What makes them the best of the best is their team. He was not trying to increase the size or scope of the job beyond what we needed. He spoke clearly about the different options and the prices were very reasonable. I had Addicot Roofing replace my roof and gutters last week. Rod Addicott of Addicott Roofing was very responsive on email and on phone and his bid came in lower than the other bids. He gave me estimates and modified them as we discussed the work. He called me to follow up and even made suggestions of things to improve (replacing my skylight) that I didn't even consider. His team worked for 2.5 days. They re-did all my gutters hanging them in a different pattern for better flow and less damage to the roof (the original construction company didn't do a good job) and re-did the venting system for better ventilation. Sorry I would not recommend them for any roofing job. On the final statement, I was overcharged $1,200 , which was claimed by Addicott as extra "man hours". I was not properly notified and did not sign for extra labor that the statement listed. The owner told me in person extra labor would be about $300.00 and then charged me $1,200. Mr. Addicott basically lied to my face. I believe a reputable company would put that amount of extra "man power " in an addendum to the original agreement. Lesson Learned: Read the fine print. His says he can basically charge whatever he wants and use all the "man power" he wants. You Lose. Positive: Basic roof and doesn't leak. read more

We are very pleased with Addicott Roofing and would recommend them hands down. We replaced a 10 year old bad roofing job in 2004 with Addicott. They gave us a competetive bid, did the job quickly and professionally. Fast forward to 14 years later and we have a small leak in the roof caused by the vent cap. I had a 50 year roof done 10 years ago. it seemed to be a fair price and they were quick with installing . Their work only covers 5 years for the installation. After 2 months, I had a leak in skylight, they fixed it with caulking, but caulking is only a temporary fix. I was also told that I had to pay for damage of dry wall inside the house myself. 10 Years later I was having water leaking into the eaves, 2 roofing companies came out and said the installation was not right. They should have wrapped the ends with metal and some flashing was not done correctly. Called addicot, he came out and said that he can put flashing in on one side of the house...which can be done but not recommended by the two other companies since it would just prolong the issues for only a few more years.. He also said he would put more caulking down around skylights...I believe he thinks he was doing his best, but I'm not impressed with the quality of work I received for a 50 year , 17,000 dollar roof. read more

Over the past 3 years I've had quotes from no less than 10 different roofers. From the large companies to the privately owned local business. Some trying to convince me that Metal or Rubber was the only way to go and others telling me to go cheap to save money as I may be selling the home in a few years. What set Addicott apart from all the others was his focus on his team and the materials he uses and not to talk poorly about his competitors and Rod Addicott's (owner) overall assurance that the job was going to be done right for a fair price. Rod Addicott met with me and listened to all of my concerns and helped me find the correct roof for my particular needs. He went over the small details that really set him apart from what I was hearing from the other installers. He didn't try to oversell me on a more expensive roof and didn't under sell me for something that wouldn't meet my needs in the years to come. The team that came out to do the work was pleasant and everyone was professional. They had to deal with some rain and wind issues and they took the necessary measures to protect my house during the work stoppage and reassured me that everything was protected. I also received daily calls from Rod Addicott to let me know how the job was going and to ask how it was going from my point of view. I had the opportunity to inspect the work from the attic side a couple of weeks after the install and I was impressed by the quality of work from the inside. No debris left in the attic and everything was water tight. I can now rest assured that my roof was done right and my home and belonging are protected for many years to come. We contacted Rod Addicott with Addicott Roofing at the recommendation of a realtor who advised a new roof prior to putting our home on the market. We called Rod and left a message requesting a bid. We should have known that he was unprofessional when we had to call back a second time two days later as he didn't return our first call. When we did finally speak to him, he agreed to come out that day and look at our roof and stated that no one had to be at the property for him to do the bid. It so happened that my husband was working at home and met Rod. Rod walked the property then spent the next 10 minutes standing under an overhang talking on the telephone about an unrelated job. Prior to leaving he told my husband that he would "talk to his foreman" and get us a bid that same day. When we didn't hear from Rod for three days, we called seeking out the bid. Rod stated that he wasn't sure if he could do the job because the "pitch of the roof was too steep" but that he would check with the foreman and get back to us. Again we had to call him as he didn't contact us. When we spoke he stated that the pitch of our roof was indeed to "steep" for him to perform the job. It took us over a week and many phone calls find out that he was unable to reroof our home. Roofs come in many shapes and sizes and, it seems to me, that a roofing company that has been in business since the 1970's should be able to roof any residential property. The fact of the matter is the pitch of our roof in not too steep, it is typical of many roofs in the pacific northwest. What we were hoping for was a roofing bid, what we got was, essentially, a "your roof is too scary" and a "Happy Valentine's Day" email. I brought a house at the end of 2015. The prior owner asked Addicott Roofing to do some repair on August 2014. Based on the invoice, there is a 5-year guarantee with the repair work. However, from October 2015, the same spot that the prior owner asked Addicott to fix, began to leak again. I called Addicott and the people receive the phone call said she did not know about the 5-year guarantee. I asked a call back from the person who should handle the warranty issue. But no one call back. Though I did not deal with Addicott directly. But from my experience, they don't honor their warranty. read more
