I appreciated that he didn't hold me to an exact number of boxes when I wasn't fully packed, like some other companies I had gotten quotes from. We were able to stay in communication about any updates to my inventory list. He even gave me a wonderful surprise when the move took less time than expected so he told me the total cost was less than the estimate! (Such a nice and unexpected surprise!) Yeah so bluntly, Kieran and his crew are kinda superstars. We hired them to move our 2 bedroom apartment from Queens to NJ. They came on time, didn't nickel and dime us, and even helped us finish packing the last few things we hadn't been able to get to. At the same time all our furniture somehow ended up packed, wrapped, and on their truck. Oh, also Kieran and the guys are SUPER obsessive about how things are packed. I think he re-packed a few things I had already packed and felt were secure. And for our TV and iMac he created these custom box holder things by slicing and dicing and taping several boxes together... it was really cool and everything got here in perfect shape! Kieran and team (Alan, Louie, and other folks whose names I forgot - so sorry!) were INCREDIBLE during my moving day. It was like watching the moving company version of the Fast and Furious crew execute a job like the trained experts they are. We were only moving a few blocks in Queens but we had A LOT of stuff after having lived in the previous apartment for 10 years. My husband and I thought we were pretty well packed but cold, hard realization hit the night before when more things kept popping up. We were in a disaster situation though Kieran was kind to say we did a pretty stellar job. On moving day, Kieran and team swiftly and seamlessly picked up our slack - packing up all of our miscellaneous stuff and hard to pack objects, furniture, etc. Watching them carefully and intricately pack giant flat screen TVs, large mirrors, a mattress + boxspring was beyond impressive. This is the first time we've hired movers and if I ever have to move again, you better believe I'm calling Kieran. I can't recommend Redline enough and will continuously recommend them to anyone who needs moving help! Bonus plug - we also rented plastic moving boxes from Bin-it (in addition to regular XL cardboard boxes) and if you book both, there's a discount. I'm so thrilled to have found these guys through Yelp. I called for an estimate about 2 months before I had to move, and Shane was incredibly responsive. Kiernan came to do the actual estimate and he was friendly and knowledgeable and just altogether a great guy. I knew I had found the right team to work with. Because of closing issues, my move had to be delayed a month, and there was even the possibility that I would need to move the contents of my house into a storage facility, but Shane was quick to give me a revised estimate and explained how everything would work. I initially engaged BinIt to help me with my move from Inwood in Manhattan to Kew Gardens in Queens - I wanted to be more environmentally friendly by using bins instead of cardboard boxes. Redline Moving is the parent company for BinIt, hence my interaction with them. Kieran came by in early January, looked about the room where I lived, and gave me a quote, which included 30 bins, packing materials, and the actual move three weeks later. On Moving Day, Redline Moving was at my apartment on time, and ready to go. Kieran and Alan moved my stuff out of the apartment, and Thomas piled it all in the truck that was waiting outside. Just to be clear, this was a bona fide moving truck, not a rented U-Haul, or someone's minivan. They cleared all my stuff (and I have a LOTTA stuff), and were ready to head over to Queens in just under three hours, bantering with each other all the while. Moving, as everyone knows, can be pretty intense. The attitudes of these guys made a stressful day far more bearable. By the time I got to Queens 90 minutes later, they were just about finished - way ahead of the 5:00PM deadline of my new building. There were a few small mishaps - but the Redline team responded promptly and made any necessary corrections right away. And they cared about my stuff. From how easy the booking was with Kieran, including the Binit crates (definitely recommend moving with these, made packing so much easier and faster, plus good for the environment!) After having another company cancel on me last minute, I looked around on Yelp for a replacement and found Redline Moving to move me from Jersey to Brooklyn. From the very first communication, Shane was responsive and professional. I was moving post breakup and was so stressed out about the process. Shane put my mind at ease, explained the costs in detail and set up the appointment. A few days later I received a reminder email which was really reassuring. Cut to the day of the move...my moving crew lead by Reggie called me upon their arrival (within the set arrival window) and negotiated with the concierge regarding the loading dock. My experience with this company was horrible. The guys arrived and packed our stuff up quickly, and put it in the van. I went to see how it was looking in the van and they had my stacked stuff in a precarious way. I figured they knew what they were doing so I did not worry about it, although I told them to move my bike from atop a pile of boxes where it definitely would have fallen. We met them at our new place and bought them all pizza. They started unloading the stuff and I waited upstairs to arrange stuff as they brought it up. They took forever to bring the stuff up so I went down and checked. There were empty boxes in our garbage area that were ours and they were acting weird. I didn't know what happened and was so distracted with things that I didn't correctly question what had happened and didn't worry about it too much. (my stupidity) why there were empty boxes in the garbage area of ours. The main guy was intimidating and acted like a gangster. He came up and I tipped him extremely well. Later as we were unpacking I realized that they had spilled bleach all over the boxes. Tons of our clothes were ruined. Also, later I realized that these guys stole my box of valuable rare 45's. It took me a long long time to realize that they did this because we kept our things in boxes during our renovation but I guarantee that is exactly what happened. I remember packing those records. I was so pissed off when I realized all of this and that I tipped these jerks so well. I called to tell them what happened buy my phone died in the middle of the call and I was so mad that I didn't call them back, it was too stressful. I just let it go. And the move was not cheap!!!!! We used Redline for our house move from Staten Island to New Jersey, having learned of them from Angie's List. They moved the entire contents of a three bedroom house, plus attic and basement. My wife and I were very impressed all around and would definitely hire Redline again. The guys (a professional, friendly crew of 6) were great. They worked hard, efficiently and carefully, getting the job done right, quickly as could be, with no breakage and while helping us with last minute packing. The cap he gave us turned out to be a little less than the hourly rate would have been, so we were charged only the agreed-upon cap, and no attempt was made to stick us with extras. Last time I moved in NYC was almost 13 years ago. In that time I filled up an apartment with kids and all of the associated merch/crap that comes with family life. Our daughter needed to have some carpentry skill with her move. One of the best movers I've ever used and their rates are reasonable. Long over due review. I used them in January 2016. I was very pleased with their service. I had my belongings moved into a storage facility and they expertly stacked my furniture and boxes in a way so everything would fit all into one large unit. This saved me the expense of a second unit. The storage facility clerk even asked me for the name of the movers because she found them to be the quickest and most professional movers she has seen at the facility. And she sees many. I packed most of my stuff, but they packed some larger items like my large screen TV and furniture. None of my items were broken even though some of my items had to go down the stairs instead of the elevator. They arrived on time - both for the in house estimate and the move date. The quote was accurate and the crew was very friendly. The only thing some might find off-putting is that the foreman does directly ask you for tips for the crew. But this would not dissuade me from using them again. I would definitely use them again. read more

so they did move everything but part of my quote was taking apart and putting together beds and a loft. They did a really bad job of putting the beds together forgetting screws and going too fast, consequently both my sons bed fell apart and I had to throw one of them away. Also get a flat quote and don't let them try to bully you into paying more. I experienced being pressured by the head guy who did our quote and or move. I kept feeling if there was a man around they wouldn't have put the screws on like they did. I packed the rest. They went beyond my expectations. The foreman, Simon even relaid my bedroom carpet tile. Absolutely horrible customer service and rude employees. My husband and I are moving to our first home and Kieran came to give us an estimate. Right off the bat he sounded way too full of himself and his company. Although they might be good, I have not dealt with them before, but their prices are extraordinary. $1400 to move one living room set and one bedroom set? Please! They even expected us to pay a ridiculous travel cost of $180 for their trip back to the city after moving our stuff. After hearing all this nonsense, we were still very polite with the man. When we informed him that we have a quote to move our few pieces of furniture for $600, his tone completely changed. He became extremely rude, arrogant, and made a run for the door.
