The Scallops were subtle and delicious. The halibut was like someone hit me in the face with a frying pan. Heavy and overpowering.

Really happy that this place is still around! We visited years ago on the way to a weekend in Ocean Shores. This time, we drove specifically out of our way to be able to celebrate our anniversary dinner here. It was wonderful! We had a little "Happy Anniversary" note when we arrived. Service was prompt and attentive, and the menu was full of dishes that we wanted to try - so much so that it was hard to pick which ones to order! Settled on a roast carrot and fennel starter, with smoked yogurt, harissa, and lemon. Very yummy - deceptively simple but executed very well. My husband and I ordered a pasta dish to split - rigatoni with white cheese, and a stinging nettle pesto. Yum! My main course was a halibut with sunchoke chips and greens. All in all, a stellar meal. So looking forward to our next trip to the beach and a chance to visit Redivia again. read more

I have one word...SALTY, SALTY, & SALTY. Very cute restaurant with a very chill but chic vibe and energy. The problem was the food. The bread and butter delicious but everything else, SALTY. I ordered the Brussels sprouts meal and I felt my blood pressure rising as I ate it with all of the sodium. I only ate half and that's because I didn't want to throw away the full 17 dollars I was spending on the meal. My friend's son had the braised short ribs, SALTY. Beef should never be salty especially when it's one of the more costly meals on the menu. Even our friend's Salad was salty, how do you mess salad up!? I'm a native New Yorker and I currently reside in Chicago so you better believe I know good food when I taste it and this place has none of that. Please tell your chef to take it easy with the salt. I have heard many things about this establishment so the wife and I decided to give it a shot. We got a couple of specialty drinks, an appetizer and two entrees. I got to say I was impressed with the atmosphere and service. Great date night location. What I am more impressed with is the food though. We got a Barrata appetizer which was unique and tasty. I got a fantastic burger but my wife got the halibut that stole the show. One bite and I was shocked how something so delicious could come from a small town in Aberdeen. This place is amazing! It seems a bit expensive if you just look at the prices, but the food is well made and the portions were big. They open at 4, and we arrived at around 6pm. I wanted to order the gnocchi but was told it wasn't ready yet and the kitchen didn't know how long it would be so I ordered the burger. The burger made me forget about wanting gnocchi, it was so delicious. The brioche bun had black sesame seeds and sea salt. My boyfriend got the beet salad and loved the sweet potato purée underneath. We love dessert, and I thought it was odd they only had one dessert on the menu, but damn the beignets were the best. It was $10 for what seems like 10 of them and I've never had so many beignets. We actually didn't finish the whole thing which is unusual for us. The only negative I have is that our dinner took 40 minutes to come out when we were one of two tables. Dessert also took some time but it was really fresh and hot. The food was all well worth the wait. read more

So glad we found this place. I was not disappointed. We walked in and immediately felt the warm and inviting, little upscale vibe. The staff are extremely nice and friendly. Very attentive and professional. We started out with appetizers and their espresso martini. Wow! I've enjoyed espresso martinis in some amazing restaurants, but this one blew my mind. Excellent, light and fresh. I ordered another one. The menu is always changing, so it's hard to recommend a specific dish. But everything we ordered was delicious. Each dish is crafted and made with fresh ingredients. Nothing is prepared ahead of time and plopped onto a plate. I ordered the boar head pasta, minus the boar. I'm vegetarian. The server asked me what kind of sauce I would like with my pasta and I said whatever the chef feels like preparing. My mushroom pasta was the hit of our table. Every one of our dishes was delicious, but my pasta was our favorite. The entire night was a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend it. We will be going back. read more

Wonderful selection of WA wines by the glass and a decent choice of pacific northwest beers. Oh, and the food? The food is fantastic. Only want drinks? Diamond in the rough, literally!! Found on Yelp while passing through Aberdeen on our way to Ocean Shores. My foodie senses perked up the minute we walked in the door. The ambience was dark, yet so comforting, they even had my playlist playing in the background! The artwork was grand, the bar was fit for an upscale Seattle joint.... Now the best part, drinks and food! All the cocktails were made from scratch, down to the freshly pressed cranberry juice, by a bearded artisan hipster looking bartender. Drinks were presented in vintage glassware to boot. The menu was all locally sourced from the seafood to the meats and veggie dishes. I had the arugula salad with hazel nuts, fresh feta and balsamic dressing. Then the Whidbey island mussels, in a curry sauce with some type of relish mixed in. The serving size was too big to finish on my own! The mussels were cooked to perfection, not at all chewy or rubbery. And they were plump and fresh! The service was spot on, prices extremely reasonable! Where else could you get fresh caught halibut and chips for about $15! Passing through Aberdeen to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. Made a reservation on Yelp for Saturday evening for 5:45 pm for my family including children. Arrived on time and promptly seated. After placing our order, advised for first time that Chef was doing a catering event across the street and our food wouldn't arrive for at least 45 min. Would have appreciated some notice at time of reservation or at least at check-in. Hoping this is a fluke as I'd like to try the food but amateur miss like this by front of house undermines entire experience. read more

Be aware that what the website indicates as the "current" menu on line and what was available is not the same. After briefly looking at the menu we asked our recommendation for an appetizer. Of all things on the menu she said the sour dough bread and didn't elaborate. We asked for a few minutes and settled on the salted cod. We were disappointed by the absence of salted cod as it had a hint of salted cod only. Bread was served with this salted cod flavored whipped potatoes. 2 of us ordered Loki striped sirloin which was undercooked though had an amazing beautiful char that was perfection. We also ordered lobster mushroom papardelle which was absolutely delicious with lots of lobster mushrooms and a creamy mushroom sauce. Dessert blueberry claufoti it was good. We were in the Grays Harbor area for my husband's 60th Reunion from High School. Our last evening in town we were looking for a nice place to go to dinner. I read the review on Yelp and we decided to try it! We enjoyed the meal tremendously! It was as good as any gourmet restaurant I have ever been to! The clam chowder was to die for! What an awful dining experience. We made a dinner reservation to celebrate a relative's 90th birthday at first seating at 5pm. We didn't receive our food until just before 7pm! When asked why it was taking so long, we were told they were short staffed and that we were the next ticket. Are you kidding?! We were the first table to order food that night. Other customers received their food, ate, paid their bills and left while we continued to wait for our food. One couple noticed when they were leaving after their meal and apologized. The food finally came and was very salty. Not worth the high prices. We will never go back, and will encourage others to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Great food and atmosphere but only if you have lots of time to spare! The space has beautiful exposed wood beams, large striking paintings, and big open windows to the street. Unfortunately, the service was very slow (not our waitresses fault! I avoid writing negative reviews unless it was really BAD. Last time I ate here was about 3-4 years ago and was disappointed. I decided to give them another chance and sadly it was even worse. The service was good but the food was horrible. Burned hamburger bread and meat too salty. Bread and meat was SO thick you can't even hold it, or pick up. The tomatoes were green and thick, almost inedible. Hardly any lettuce. Disappointed and couldn't even eat half of it as we nibbled around the burnt parts. The fries were to thin, greasy and didn't even taste like potatoes. After paying almost $40 for 2 burgers with no drinks, no appetizers, no desserts, might as well have eaten better burgers at a fast food. I literally did a double-take as I entered Rediviva. I did NOT expect to walk into such a beautifully decorated and designed restaurant being in, well, Aberdeen. To a city boy like me, it felt like a welcome respite from the generally run-down feel of the surrounding establishments. The menu is succinct and options are few--as one should expect at a restaurant of this caliber. I settled on a sweet potato risotto after consulting my charming waitress. The portioning and presentation of my meal were absolutely spot on. The ingredients were delightfully fresh and flavors bright. My glass of rosé and lovely exchange with the bartender really sold the entire experience for me. I will be returning to Rediviva very soon. Big city restaurant in a small town! Very upscale menu, creatively presented. Unique, gourmet menu that is a good balance between fish and meats. There were a few veggie options where appetizers were easily turned into a main course dish. The portions are very large! Some dishes were a little over seasoned for my party's taste, however. I recently moved back to town and heard this place had opened. I've always been leery of "nice" restaurants here on the harbor because they either 1- Are too snooty for their own good, 2- the food portions are very small or 3- their food isn't all that great. At worst, all 3. This place is AWESOME. First impression: I was pleasantly surprised at the decore and artwork and how simple everything is. The restaurant smelled good, and we were politely greeted and seated by the hostess. The server was with us momentarily, and took good care of us. She knew the menu, answered our questions, and best of all: didn't rush us as we figured out our choices. We decided on some safe food since this was our first visit. My wife got a burger. I got a fried cod sandwich. It seemed odd to have a fried cod sandwich on the menu, but I went for it. Plus the large clam chowder, which we split. The chowder was AMAZING. Best chowder on the harbor! And the portion was equally impressive. More than i thought we we're going to get. The burger was great...the grass fed beef really stood our as different than anyone else's burger here. The fried cod sandwich was incredible. It tasted like homemade fish tacos but on a brioche bun. Friendly wait-staff, clean, classy environ, and a tasty twist to a burger. The patty was huge, organic, locally sourced, and done medium, to perfection. It's bun seemed home made and very fresh. It had body to it! We had the fries and the Chips and shared. I learned that they make everything from scratch, from the waiter's own mouth. Andy, the Chef/Owner came out to visit and say hello. The dinner, better than good. The service, excellent. My lady and i are well traveled, and know what fine dining is all about. We relish in it, when we can, when it's available.
