Fresh baked cookie, the staff stopped by to share with everyone in the bar!

Stopped in on a whim for dinner when visiting the city with the fam. We did not have a reservation but we're seated promptly in the bar area. Turns out they have a live musician playing jazz piano starting at 6:30 p.m. on Fridays, we arrived just in time! Jacob the musician was great, took requests. Just really great rep from Broadway to Sabrina Carpenter jazz covers. Food was varied sushi, seafood, steaks, salads, full bar. As a family we ordered filet which was perfectly prepared, salmon teriyaki bowl which was brimming with vegetables and just what I was in the mood for! Hubby ordered the dragon roll and tuna nigiri, also really great! We took our kids 9+11 no kids menu, but they eat like adults. Yes the description says touristy, but the food and service were top notch...also we are tourists, so hey, was really lovely. Felix took fantastic care of us. I recommend and would come again.

I had a great experience at Redeye Grill. The food was okay overall, but the miso cod --which our server Jelena recommended-- was excellent, and the banana cream pie also she recommended, absolutely superb. What truly stood out was Jelena's service. She was sweet, funny, and went above and beyond, completely elevating the night. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the unwelcoming host, lack of greeting, and incorrect info at the start. The food presentation could also use a bit more effort. Still, Jelena made up for almost everything. I'd come back just for her service and that banana cream pie!

Very nice inside. Our food and drinks are very good and you gotta get the dancing shrimp. Service was just OK.

October 7th 2024 wife and I walked from our nearby West 57th Street timeshare to the red eye grill. Huge place although largely empty for lunch on Monday. Great ambiance with white tablecloths napkins and decent silverware .uniform waiters. Wife's miso glazed black COd cooked tender flaky and delicious over cooked spinach and mushrooms.$47 but that's on par with what we paid at Roy's in Hawaii. Serving size about 5 oz . Not for somebody who is hungry. My $44 lobster roll came with a roll of bread with the body of a lobster attached to the top. Awesome appearance for an entree. Unfortunately most of the lobster roll was either bread or the potato salad filling although the lobster itself was great. This was our last day of our week's stay in New York City and lunch was memorable.

Hubby and I stopped in for dinner before a show and we enjoyed absolutely everything we ate. Since the area is filled with mostly to-go lunch spots and some sit down overpriced restaurants-I wasn't sure if this restaurant would be good or just a large commercial-space with really expensive menu items. However, the food was delicious, the ambience was classically NY, and it was the perfect distance from Radio City to get to a show in ten minutes. Yes, the meals are pricey and so are the drinks-but literally everything we ate was delicious. Drinks: -pornstar martini 8/10-colorful, unique, and delicious -espresso martini 9/10-the depth of flavor was out of this world + it was pretty to look at Dinner: -dragon roll 7/10-basic, fresh, but not worth 24$ -salmon with mushrooms- 7.5/10-delicious but needed a bit more seasoning -lobster cob salad-8/10 unique take and super flavorful We seriously can't wait to come here again next time we're in the area.

The food was really good; the price is worth the vibes. The skirt steak was served with a sauce that really amplified the taste. The cheeseburger also came with a special sauce. It made the bun quite soggy and it was falling apart about 15 minutes into the meal. The fries were fresh as well and a really good addition. Service is polite and slow. The food didn't take too long but didn't come out too fast either. Everything seemed of quality and the decor is beautiful.

Top notch service within a well established steak and seafood restaurant. Interior is warm, dark with a mix of classic and modern decor. Wine and spirit list were expansive. Signature cocktail list pretty good. I had the house old fashioned, pretty good, though I didn't taste the coffee / cocoa bitters. Appetizer selection for our table included garlic bread (fluffy dough, good seasoning, some what hard to cut in the provided cast iron dish); guacamole with lettuce slices (excellent); flat bread (also good). Menu was interesting, covering many interests (sushi, tacos, burgers, steaks and seafood entrees), which was surprising. I went for the lobster roll - well toasted roll, lined with potato salad, into which large pieces of lobster were placed - lobster was tasty, but the unusual presentation was not what I was expecting, which was a more mixed lobster; cole slaw and fries were good. Next visit I will probably go for a steak or more traditional seafood entree. All in all a good experience.

Absolutely stellar service with very classic American decor! We had a fabulous lunch at Red-eye Grill, and the staff was amazing. They constantly checked to ensure that we had a good experience, and even offered some freshly baked cookies and cotton candy, on the house! Very unique experience indeed. The food itself was also wonderful. We all opted for the lunch set menu, and all the dishes were great. The crab cake was stuffed with crab, and the calamari was very crispy and well done! For entries, we all went for the fish dishes. Both the mahi mahi and teriyaki salmon were good, but the best was the salmon and wild mushrooms. The salmon was very well seasoned and delicate as well. The desserts were also good! Overall, a very amazing experience that I would highly recommend to try!

This place screams high class but the service was MID even with a manager walking the floor and handing out chocolate chip cookies how bizarre. First of all HOW in 2025 is there no ramp to get up the steps to get in?? 2 thumbs down bc I arrived in the pouring rain on a dark and cold Sunday evening to meet my father who flew in to NY to celebrate my sisters birthday. THEY had already pre chosen this based on proximity to the hotel even tho I sent a list of great options. Fine We approach and my first thought was what is this?? A huge booty sculpture met me at the door. They had a larger than life valentines heart balloon display in the windows an impressive bar and a hostess who DIDN'T even greet my son and I as we looked around for our party. I noticed the place was not small but more like a maze of ups and downs. Anyway crowd observation everyone was super buttoned up definitely a pricier area of town. My sister IMMEDIATELY complained about the fact that they had a hard time getting in with her 2 year old and his stroller. I was disappointed. Then the cauliflower soup left a Horrible bad taste in my mouth. So bad I had to send it back and it was presented as the ONLY option... But then they sent out a clam chowder instead. I was peeved they didn't offer that first and seemed to be limiting my options. I noticed that there was no bread given as a starter and as soon as I asked the table a man arrived with chocolate chip cookies and thrust the tray towards us. My thoughts... who else touched this and I just put the cookie down and went to wash my hands confused. The dancing shrimp were head on hard fried not juicy like I expected but so interesting that we just had to order one for the table. The salmon was supposed to be over a cauliflower purée did they exclude it bc I complained about the soup? That's is NOT the largest steak you serve IMPOSSIBLE. My son ordered the steak au jus and thru got that right. But our snooty little I know it all waiter for got the bernaise for the steak promised to bring it out and never did he kept making slight errors (no one is perfect) and everyone at the table was like don't say a word bc they didn't want him getting in trouble with the floor manager. Booo Anyway dessert looked awesome I did not partake, romantic ambiance and no no street parking. 2/5 invest in a ramp immediately how in the world are disabled folks supposed to get up the stairs? Hey some tongs and serve the cookies don't let ppl touch the tray. The dessert menu had everyone's eyes lit up like Xmas except the birthday girl. She said the huge slice of banana cream pie they served her didn't hit the mark. But my son's vanilla ice cream and my dad's blackout chocolate cake did look and taste amazing. I would not recommend that you split the steak for 2.

This is a cute neighborhood spot that my friend loves. We shared the sushi and lobster mac and cheese while the live music played. The bar area is right in front, so it is hard to miss the grand piano. The service was top-notch and attentive. I felt like we had great treatment. The Lobster Mac and Cheese meal was very generous. I had enough to take home for seconds. It is a nice place to drop in and get dinner or just relax at the bar while live music plays.

Quintessential New York feel, classy, fun music, and a fantastic meal! The service was top notch, too. I wanted to take my mom and my aunt somewhere where they could have a fun NYC experience, and I'm so glad I took them here! I ordered the crab cake burger, the buttermilk onion rings (in place of the fries), and we shared the Dancing Shrimp between us. No regrets! I will absolutely be eating here again!

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. A special shoutout to Abel, our server, who made excellent recommendations based on our flavor preferences and helped us discover some incredible drinks. The hospitality, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere were top-notch. Can't wait to come back!

I stopped by Clemente Bar with a friend who was staying at a nearby hotel. I had never been to…read moreEleven Madison Park before and wanted to check it out, not realizing at first that Clemente Bar is a separate concept from the restaurant. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
