This group was terrific from my first call to the office. They were pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable. My A/C went out, and it is HOT outside! They found the problem, fixed the problem, and told me how to avoid having it happen again. I hope I do not need them often, but I am glad to know they are close by in case I do! read more

We don't call for service or repairs that much because I try to fix most things myself, but when our AC system broke down during the last heat wave we were desperate. These guys were great! They called ahead, showed up on time, were polite and professional. We never felt uncomfortable during the entire process. They discussed our options, fixed it the same day and gave us tips on replacing the unit down the road. They answered all my questions, as an added benefit, my wife thought their prices were fair and I get to be the hero! Thanks Butch, we'll be calling again in the future. We Highly recommend! read more

These guys are the best! If you're looking for prompt, quick service, these guys are your best bet. They didn't gouge me and as a matter of fact, their price was much lower than I expected. Kyle and Butch explained the work they performed and took the time to answer my questions. I'll be calling them again when their help is needed, though that'll be years from now I expect! read more

Kyle & Butch are good guys doing good work! Classic Cooling is definitely going to be number 1 on my list for when I need anymore HVAC work done. Thanks guys! read more

Butch was amazing! Incredibly friendly, professional and arrived early to get the job done fast! We sincerely appreciated their hard work and determination to solve the problem with our thermostat and furnace. Highly recommended! read more

Have had them out to my place twice for home AC repairs. Excellent work both times, friendly, helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Our A/C went kaput on a Sunday afternoon, during a super hot spell. We called Red, White and Cool first thing Monday morning. They were out that same day, diagnosed the problem, drove to El Cajon for parts, returned and fixed the unit -- all on Monday. And for a reasonable price. Could not be better, read more

THE BEST! We got bids from other companies that were way higher. Kyle came out to our home and was courteous and quickly assessed what we needed and within hours we had a price from Diane that was very reasonable. The next morning Butch and Kyle were out and the job well done the next day!! Great job, highly recommend! read more

I had Classic Cooling install a mini-split AC unit in my workshop/garage. The work done was extremely clean and professional looking. The AC works even better than expected. Highly recommend these guys. read more

We called Classic Heating and Air after we were quoted over $15,000.00 for a compete home unit. The 30 year old unit was shot. The two places we called were not going to budge. Said that was a great deal. Even a Special Price. I had talked to a friend and they recommended Butch and his team. Said they were fair in there price and gave good service. So we gave them a call. They came the next day and were very prompt. I got a full rundown of all the available options and pricing ( Which was under $9,000.00). Once we gave Dianne the go ahead, Butch was out there with his team and got the job done in two days. I was able to watch the process the whole way and he answered every question I had. I would highly recommend Classic Heating and Air to anyone who needs service of heating and air conditioning. read more

Classic Cooling saved our necks! We came home late one night to find our A/C blowing warm air. CC came out the very next morning within only a couple hours of my call and on a 100+ degree day when I know they were more than busy! Butch did some tests, discovered the part gone bad, and had our unit up and running the very next day. And not a moment too soon since we had an appraisal scheduled that very afternoon. Prices were super reasonable, too. It doesn't end there though . . . Diane called within a couple days of the repair just to check in and make sure things were still running right. Something most companies just don't do anymore these days. Can't recommend them more highly! read more

We had to have our heater, A/C, and duct work replaced at our house. It was a big project so we got 3 different quotes and Classic was quite a bit cheaper than the others. They were able to start the project quickly and efficiently. Awesome gentlemen that took great care in their work and also made sure to protect everything they came in contact with (carpeting, attic entrance in the closet, etc). We couldn't have asked for anything better and now we have beautiful new Trane appliances that will definitely get us through our brutal summers here in Ramona. Highly recommend Classic!!! read more

Butch and his team recently installed a completely new heating and air conditioning system in my 1910 Craftsman home. Not only a fair price, but courteous service as well. It involved everything possible as there was only a in floor heater previously. From getting the heating unit up to the attic, all new venting throughout the house, and installing an air conditioning unit outside, it was hard work ... never a complaint about the difficult work, they worked hard to get the job done as quick as possible, left the home clean every night. They know their stuff and are just delightful to be around! read more

We called classic cooling for our home inspection and we're pleased with the responsiveness and availability. After moving into our new house we saw some leaking we were concerned about so we called the home warranty and they sent out someone who said we needed $3,000 worth of repairs and half a new unit. It sounded a bit fishy so we called classic cooling back to get a second opinion. They came back to our house and within a few minutes told us that it was just a clog. He cleared it out and we havent had any issues since. Saved us quite a bit of headache and we were running the ac again the same day. read more

When our 40 year old AC/Heater went out we called Butch and we are glad we did. He is very knowledgeable, he explained the ins and outs of repairing or replacing the system and let us make the decision. No pressure, no hassle. Showed up when he said he would and finished the same day. Their prices were comparable with other bids we received, but you get what you pay for. Now my only issue is fighting over the temp settings with the misses. I highly recommend Classic heating and cooling. Thanks Butch. read more

I have had two opportunities to work with Classic Cooling and Heating and I am so impressed with the company and Butch Rendek, the owner! Whenever you have an air conditioning unit that goes out, you just naturally expect the worst, and figure you will probably not get treated fairly. That is definitely NOT the case with Classic Cooling and Heating. Both times I have had work done by this company, I knew that Butch was being totally honest and had my best interests at heart. Such professionalism and honesty at very fair pricing! If you are looking for honest, professional service check them out! I did and I am hooked forever! Kirk W read more

Great company with excellent communications and customer service. Repaired my hvac unit instead of costly replacement. Good job guys!

Butch and Diane are amazing! I was referred to Classic Heating from a friend of mine and I am so grateful I was. I had quotes from other big places and it was so far off of what Butch and Diane quoted me. The job was done timely, extremely professionally and they are awesome people to boot!!!!! So happy I went with them and I would tell anybody looking to hire someone for heating or cooling, call Classic Heating and Cooling last because that is who you will go with!!!! Best business I have dealt with in a very long time. Audrey read more

Butch and Diane are Great. I called this morning and they were out by 4:00. Very helpful and considerate. Thank you both.

Diane promptly scheduled an on site estimate with their knowledgable and capable technician Kyle. Most other companies wouldn't even talk to me about moving my mini split and told me every which way it was out of their scope. Classic C n H quite was half of the next closest one and when all was said and done the job was $200 dollars less than their quote. It was truly a pleasure doing business with everyone at Classic Cooling and Heating. read more

I was referred to Butch at Classic Cooling and Heating from a trusted friend to hopefully replace my 30 year old beat up and costly HVAC system in our attic. Butch came out with in a few days of my call and spent a good abount of time in our attic in his quest to come up with a quote. Keep in mind I had Anderson Heating and Plumbing as well as ASI give me quotes and for a 5 ton system lets just say they were both very expensive and close or over $20,000! The next day, Diane sent me a quote and it was way less as in not even close! So I went with Classic Cooling and Heating and they must have spent 3 days in our Attic removing all of the old equipment as well as repairing all of our old and leaky duct work. When it was completed it was like having a new engine put in an old classic Corvette and it ran like a champ. Furthermore, our electric bills were cut big time with the more energy efficient "Train" HVAC system. We also paid for the City of Poway inspector to come out and pass it to their standards. Problem is they found some minor changes needed to meet code being that it was a 50+ year old home and Butch came out at no charge and made the necessary changes and we were able to get our certificate that it met code. Butch and his wife Diane are the most honest couple I have ever worked with in business and a complete pleasure! I also have never seen anyone work as hard as Butch and his team and have a positive attitude always with a smile. I would strongly recommend Classic Cooling and Heating over and above any other HVAC company in all of San Diego County! read more

Absolute horrible experience with this company. They took forever to set up an initial appointment after our ac stopped working, that is what it is I realize it's a busy time of year. When they came out they replace the compressor and found a leak. They asked if I wanted the coil replaced or patched, I expressed I wanted it replaced. Thry took it upon themselves to patch it without asking and charged us what they quoted for the replacement, I let this slide. Within a month of getting it "fixed" the ac stopped again. My husband called them and they ended up coming out without verifying an appointment, they said there was a leak again but couldn't find it, expressed they could replace the coil but wanted verification from my husband not me. I reminded them that they were supposed to replace the coil last time and they told me that they only take orders from the man of the house. Never use them they are horrible and rude! read more

Wow, this company blows me away! My A/C unit went out during the past Labor Day weekend. Diane answered the phone when I called. Probably one of the nicest customer service reps I have ever talked to. She told me she could have someone there within the day. Shortly after Butch and Josh called me and said they were on the way! I was absolutely blown away by the speedy service. I can only imagine they dropped everything there were doing and came to help. They showed up and got right to work troubleshooting. Butch took the time to explain everything to me, what parts were needed, he even showed me the broken parts as they were replaced and told me why they needed to be replaced. It took them 3 trips to my house to fix it (parts needed to be ordered). I would say that, Butch and Josh spent 12-14 hours over a three day period to fix the issues. All of that time and parts and I only owed $350.xx or so. They were always on time or ahead of time. Anything moved in the garage was put back exactly how I had it. I wont ever go to a different company for my heating and cooling needs. Words can not describe the satisfaction this company left me with. A few days after it was all said and done, I received a call from Diane. She wanted to check on things and make sure the A/C was working. This company is great all around. The people, the methods, the attitudes, the service, best of all the price was great! I would recommend this company to everyone I know! Keep up the great work and I will see you all soon, for the heating system's fall check-up! read more

We found Classic Cooling & Heating on Yelp and their reviews are totally true! Everything went well and I was so impressed by everyone's professionalism. It was easy to make an appointment and the service tech was very efficient. Our house is in the Cuyamaca Woods area of Julian and it is very hard to find service companies that will even drive out there and the ones that do charge horrible fees. Not so with Classic. They were familiar with the area and charged a very reasonable service call fee. We needed a special order part for our HVAC and the tech helped me find it on Amazon and showed me how to install it so that we wouldn't need a return visit! Thank you guys. read more

Butch recently completely replaced our furnace because we wanted to add air conditioning, and our furnace was too old and inefficient to add it. Butch and Diane were very easy to work with, and great communicators through the whole process. The bid was a very reasonable price compared to others I'd received. The work took less than a week and was mostly undisruptive. Due to new efficiency regulations, our project needed a HERS inspection before the project could get its final inspection from the city. There was a lag between the initial installation and the HERS testing and building inspection. Through this long lag time, Diane kept us informed of the timeline/progress for when we would be scheduled for testing. During the HERS testing and the building inspection by the city, a few items were found that needed to be changed. Butch happily changed the needed items so the system would pass the test - even though I had already paid him in full! We had a great experience with this company. The only reason I give this company four stars instead of five is because of the need for changes to the system and the lag to get those done. However, this company offered a great price and has great customer service! read more

Finally got around to putting in an hvac system in my house. Had looked into it a couple of times in the past but just couldn't afford it or so I thought. Butch at classic not only gave me a quote I could afford but made me feel like I got the kind of deal you only hear about other people getting. He and his crew were very courteous and professional. Explaining all the how and why's and even going the extra mile , they didn't charge me for any unforseen work. Believe me when I say these guys are the best. Before you sign with anyone else give these guys a call. Thank you Butch and Diane.. read more

I am a busy professional single man with a demanding career in the city 60 miles away. I was able to get ahold of this company late at night and schedule an appointment. I was able to touch base with their tech to relay the materials needed to install a used mini split ductless carrier a/c. They called me the day before to confirm the apt. Butch and Pat drove about 40 miles to my home in Julian and got the job done right in a professional manner. The a/c system we hooked up had 3 faulty parts. I ordered a new a/c / heatpump mini ductless split system. Classic Cooling and Heating came all the way back out at my request to recover the refrigerant / decommission my used a/c. Classic Cooling & Heating are operated by genuinely good honest people. They are easy to work with and extremely honest!!!! I think they would make great neighbors or friends as well! Thank you! We will do business again! read more
