I contacted several HVAC companies, including Airmaxx. Aleksandr called me back almost immediately. I asked if there was any chance someone could come out that day, even though it was Sunday of Labor Day weekend. To my surprise, he said he would. Aleksandr showed up promptly and went right to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done, and did it. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I really appreciate Aleksandr going out of his way to help on a holiday weekend, especially when we were in a bind. Great service and great communication. I called ComfortBros, and they had someone at our home within two hours. Josh originally came to give us an estimate for a new system, but instead, he took the time to look at our existing unit. He quickly fixed the problem and had cold air blowing again within minutes, and he DIDN'T CHARGE US ANYTHING! He also gave me helpful tips for maintaining our system and keeping it running properly. Josh's honesty, kindness, and willingness to help were truly exceptional. Even though our AC unit is relatively new, I believe preventive maintenance is important, and we wanted to make sure everything was operating properly before the hot and humid weather arrived. Their technician was knowledgeable, courteous, professional and very friendly, and we were so pleased with the service that we contacted Comfort Bros again the following month to service our water heater. One seemingly small detail that really impressed me: the technicians put shoe coverings on before walking through our home without my even having to ask. We have black granite floors that show practically every speck of dust and dirt, along with light-colored carpeting, so I really appreciated that level of conscientiousness and respect for our home. Bonus points from me for hygiene and cleanliness! During the second visit, they also performed a whole-house inspection and were proactive about letting us know about things we might want to keep an eye on or consider servicing in the future. I appreciated that approach because I'd much rather know about a potential issue early and possibly prevent a larger, more expensive problem down the road. Both of our experiences with Comfort Bros have been excellent. They've been responsive, highly professional, respectful of our property, and thorough in getting the job done, all at what I felt was a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others looking for HVAC, plumbing or related home services. Rock ON Comfort Bros!

Our A/C went out suddenly, with only warm air blowing through the vents…read more That evening, I found George on Yelp, saw that he was a close neighbor, and the next morning I reached out for diagnosis and repair. I described our system's symptoms, and he let me know he suspected a capacitor issue. He worked us into his schedule and got us running the same day during the morning within two hours of us discussing the symptoms, which is already going above and beyond. We greatly appreciated this given it was in the middle of a heat wave. He also was willing to educate me when I asked elementary questions about HVAC, which I always appreciate from tradespeople. George's usual prices are a good value, being entirely fair to both parties. We'll absolutely be planning on calling GVK HVAC again for future A/C and heating needs.

George was able to come out same day to…read moregive a price and was the only one to suggest keeping the furnace as a backup to a new heat pump AC unit, as our old furnace was still working and didn't need to be removed. I'm sure this cut some costs with remove/setup, but based on some research this is ideal as the weather can get down below 40 degrees where I live. We went with GVK due to this, the fact he took the time to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly, and they were able to install the next business day; got a quote on Friday afternoon and scheduled me for Monday to install the new system. The price was also very competitive with the other options. We did have a delay in starting as they had a mix-up on install dates and had to postpone one day. However, George called and apologized and offered a discount for the mistake and to charge our current system to help keep the house cool until they came out the next day, which I think reflects how he runs a customer focused business. When he did come out that day I had more questions about the setup and based on our discussion we changed the coil for more flexibility in moving the unit in the attic one day. It was pretty clear that George runs a solid business; he double checked they left no trash after leaving, his workers made sure to set up mats everywhere they worked inside, they let us know when they would be using louder tools (as we have a baby), and they stayed until the unit was fully installed which meant they stayed pretty late. I couldn't recommend them enough. George is really easy to work with, does a great job on the customer side and also steps in to do the work himself which is all reflected in the impressive reviews he has.
