A simple family dinner turned into us having to fly my sister in laws mom up from Kansas City to retrieve her car since the moms name was on the car so they wouldn't release to my sister in law. $280 flight + $340 for the car + storage fees . Beware. I will not be returning to this restaurant or any restaurant near them. I think it's funny how they are happy to host us and feed us, but if we park our car in the wrong spot? They're gonna tow it to HELL. Not caring of their customers. Disappointed bc the food was good, but they appear to have poor character. So yummy!!! The mostacolli was so yummy!!!! As a Yelp Elite person, I've been to some bomb places. There are only a handful that are exceptional all around. I'm talking 6/5 stars. Red Rabbit is one of them. I swear to you the entire staff share a brain. We mentioned that we were on a time crunch and they ran with it. The service was unbelievably seamless. Every time a staff member passed they were doing something - grabbing drinks, running food, clearing plates, checking in on us. We were in and out in 40 minutes. The food? Amazing. The reason we popped in to begin with was because I saw someone post a picture of the pizza rolls online. They did not disappoint. We also ordered two Italian Grinders. I'm not usually one to order sandwiches but these changed my mind. If you're a ranch person make sure to get a side of ranch with whatever you order. Their homemade ranch is to die for and you can even buy some to take home! When we left, Ryan ran to hold the door for us. As if that wasn't enough he flagged us down before we left the parking lot so he could deliver the leftovers I *unintentionally* abandoned at our table. My favorite dining experience in my nearly week long stay in Minneapolis! My friend had been before and I love me some pasta and this place looked the best in the area. We called ahead to see if they had outdoor dining as the rain had stopped, and they said they did. However, they said we had to make reservations online so I thought I successfully did, but found they did not have my reservation in the system. However, minutes later, they were able to seat us outside under a hanger. It ended up being the best in the house as when the rain started pouring, we were perfectly covered. Shout out to Rylie who was an amazing waitress from beginning to end. She was really patient with us as it took us some time to get settled in and peruse the menu. My friend had a cider and I had the paloma. Both very yummy! Started with half a dozen oysters and they were slurping good. We also ordered an item they had on their menu from the prior week for the State Fair, pizza egg rolls. They were pretty yummy but a tad on the salty side. My friend ordered the mostaccioli with a meatball, we thought the goat cheese fondue would be heavy, but it wasn't. I ordered my favorite pasta, bucatini with their house red sauce, stracciatella cheese and basil oil. Their pastas are not large in size, but perfect for me. However, tasting this dish it was incredibly bland. I had my friend try to make sure I wasn't tripping out because I tend to have a blander palette. She agreed. I went inside and saw Rylie at the bar and asked her for some salt, and let her know why I needed it. While I was adding salt to my dish for the third time (!), the manager stepped out. He asked to replace my dish and while I declined he promised it would be out in minutes. I am so glad he did because it was SO MUCH BETTER! I killed the whole dish. Definitely memorable, and would be back for it again! We then ordered sticky toffee cake as I had tried the pudding version in Europe and fell in love. We also ordered a pizza and pasta to go. We received our to go order and waited for our dessert and after a long time and noticing the other tables got theirs and had left, I asked Rylie. Unfortunately there was some confusion and the dessert was in our to go bag without us knowing. Rylie was awesome and got us another sticky toffee cake. The cake was scrumptious, with a sour cream on the side. It went really well with the cake, though the dried orange to me was unnecessary. We were really lucky to eat the to go dessert the next day! Shrinkflation has hit Red Rabbi! Went into the St. Paul location to get my two favorite items--pizza rolls and their chicken parm. Both of these are excellent. To my dismay 1) They no longer have the pizza rolls. Oh the humanity! This is a loss to civilization itself. How could you Red Rabbit?? How? 2) And all jokes aside. Shrinkflation has hit the chicken parm. It USED to be two large chicken cutlets. It was perfect. You could order that and a side of pasta and have 1/2 left over to have as your midnight snack. How they've changed it to one chicken cutlet and a small portion of pasta for the SAME PRICE. 1/2 the meat and 10 cents worth of pasta. Disappointed to say the least. Bring back the pizza rolls at least and I will suck up the shrinkflation on the Chicken Parm. Please and Thank You. read more

I have a bad cold. I wasn't able to nor was I interested in making dinner for myself and my wife. We decided to order take-out and Red Rabbit Saint Paul was our preferred restaurant. We've frequented Red Rabbit many times. Their Cavatelli is my usual go to order. It is too good and a favorite anytime of the year. However, I was hankering for some pizza. I saw their Sausage Pizza on their website and it sounded fantastic. Fennel Sausage, same as what is used in the Cavatelli, Scallions, Mozzarella Cheese and Fennel Pollen. I also wandered over to the dessert page just in case something might catch my eye. Sure enough they had a Sticky Toffee Cake that sounded perfect. My wife did a "this and that" order of Meatballs, Soup and a Salad. She was kind enough to pick up our order and we enjoyed at home. I needed to reheat the pizza as the cold late November temperatures took the edge of the pizza. I was so pleased that the pizza reheat so well and it really hit the spot. Great cheesey flavor and the sausage was great. I'm not sure that I tasted Fennel Pollen but I don't know what it would taste like anyway. My wife enjoyed her combo of ordered items, one by one. The dessert was so yummy! If you haven't had it before, please do give it a try. Rich, moist and covered in Caramel sauce. Need I say more? This is a really good, well run restaurant. They try very hard to serve good, interesting food and place a premium on good service. i think it's because the manager likes his job and encourages his staff. Story: The first time i ate there, when it was new, the manager asked how my sandwich was. i shrugged and honestly answered, it was ok. He got a little concerned and asked questions and said, ok the sandwich is free just pay for the beer and come back and try other selections. i really liked it that he sincerely cared about his work and the restaurant's products and his customers' opinions. It's a good addition to Grand Avenue and i wish we had more local businesses like it. i recommend the happy hour specials, especially the pizza. Sunday brunch is good. i think their marinara sauce could be improved with more oregano and a little marjoram. That was the problem with the sandwich. Too many "Italian" restaurants don't make interesting sauces when it's not really rocket science. Also a good Italian restaurant makes good, rich house-made salad dressing, and the Wabbit, as my wife calls it, could work on that. That is rocket science though. read more

Great new restaurant Saturday and my wife brought her mom along. We decided to get a seat on the wonderful patio and I ordered a local IPA, my second was an IPA from San Diego, Coronado Brewing. They make good beer. I ordered the spicy pepperoni with half the cheese and my wife got the marinara pizza with cheese on only one half. My mother in law got the mostaccioli, which is like red sauce and cream sauce mixed together. My pizza was amazing and had a wonderful crispy crust and I tried my wife's and the crust was just as perfect. Our server was super nice and got everything right. Making a reservation online was incredibly easy, but they do charge a no-show fee which totally makes sense since there are Covid capacity restrictions-especially since MN cases are on the rise. They do limit your stay to 90 minutes as well, but the food came out quickly, so this wasn't an issue. I brought my self-proclaimed picky eating partner with and we both loved everything. Since we haven't gotten out a lot lately due to Covid, we definitely went a little crazy. I ordered a Lavender Revolution non-alcoholic drink (thanks for having fancy options for non-drinkers!) and partner had the Paloma and a Lavender Revolution for himself. I have never been so crazy about a drink, but I will probably be dreaming of it for awhile. For food, we started with the burrata which was delicious. We each got Caesar salads topped with an anchovy. We split the breakfast pizza and shrimp garganelli. I was hesitant about ordering the breakfast pizza, especially at 5PM, but it FAR exceeded my expectations. I don't even know how to describe it, so you should probably go and get one. I rave about this place to all my friends and family after each visit, and insist everyone tries it. Literally everything on the menu is amazing. My absolute favorite is their pasta. Eating pasta elsewhere after having it at Red Rabbit is truly a letdown. My favorites are the Shrimp Garganelli & the Cavatelli. You must get their garlic bread, it is to die for & I especially like dunking it in my pasta sauce. I've also tried the burrata with extra crustinis and that is fricken amazing. The flavors at Red Rabbit are unmatched. Of course, their cocktails are wonderful as well. A friend of mine got the Froze & I got a Moscow Mule, I always ask about their cocktail of the moment as well! On one of my visits, something went wrong, but the staff jumped right in and made it right. I am so impressed by the dedication of the staff, especially Alex and Jessie. Huge shout out to them! On my most recent visit, I sat outside in the makeshift parking lot area, and it was terrific! I wasn't sure how I would like sitting in the parking lot, but the waitstaff certainly made you feel like you were just as much in the restaurant and tended to as always! Alex was wonderful and she sat us at our table (in the back parking lot) but these days during Covid who cares...the sun felt great and all the servers were positive and seemed happy that we were there. Well here we go again!! We were there 09/23 at noon for lunch! Once again, it is my boys favorite place to eat!! Anyhow, we sat on the pet friendly patio and the table next to us had a cat that wanted to sit at our table. I am thinking for more shade than sitting with us!! We like pets so we let Freddy the cat hang with us until we were done. When we went to pay the bill our waitress handed us a dessert thanking us for helping with Freddy! We once again were WOW'd by the Red Rabbit. Keep up the fantastic work! We like the Red Cow's also, but the staff and concern for the customers is outstanding at the Red Rabbit. First time visiting and wow, blown away. I didn't make a reservation for myself and my parents and they were still able to accommodate us--but try to make a reservation if you can! Anyway, we visited at about 1pm on a Saturday and still got seated. Our server was amazing and got us started with water and was super prompt with getting our orders in. I got the House Sausage pizza, my mom got one of their sandwiches with a side of in house made chips and my dad got the lasagna. The food took a little while to arrive but it was crowded so that's understandable. The food was PHENOMENAL. I would 100% order a pizza again and my moms sandwich was made with fresh bread from a bakery down the street. Wow. It was all fabulous. They even have their own parking lot so very easy to get to.
