We ordered from Red Panda for the first time last night, and the experience was a mixed bag. There were a lot of positives: We were quoted a 55-60 minute del it very window, and the driver knocked on our door in less than 30 minutes. That was very impressive! And even better than that, the food was as hot as if it had just come from the wok. The sesame chicken was good sized nuggets of white meat chicken, and was delicious. The egg rolls were okay, but the reason I keep them on the positive list is that Red Panda included spicy mustard with the condiments. I love spicy mustard on my egg rolls, and so few Chinese take outs seem to offer that down here. My husband would include the eel sushi on his list of positives (Our actual conversation - Me: You ordered sushi? Him: Yeah, they had eel rolls for only $6! You know how expensive they usually are? Want some? Me: I think you just answered your own question), and I enjoyed most aspects of my hunan beef (fun fact- my autocorrect keeps changing that to "human beef", but more on that in a minute) including the excellent vegetables and the brown rice. There was only one downside for me, but it was one I may have a hard time getting over. I could not identify what kind of beef was in my hunan beef. It was ropey and thin, and in relatively small, long pieces. I'm a little squeamish about meats I cannot identify, and this really put me off. I will not order a beef dish from them again. Would I go back to Red Panda? I probably will, because I was really impressed with a lot of what they offered. read more

I loved the thai tea but the food was not what I expected. It felt like a fast food heat up kind of Chinese restaurant. Egg rolls probably were frozen than heated up. I really liked this place! I've been wanting to try it for awhile now and finally stopped in. The restaurant was clean and organized and the staff very nice. I ordered the orange chicken lunch special and it came with a big portion of chicken, 2 big scoops of rice, broccoli, an egg roll, a bowl of soup and some fried wontons. Tons of food for only $5.99! The chicken was super tasty and had real orange pieces in the sauce. I also loved how the meat was all white meat and tender. Everything was really good and I had enough leftover for another meal. Meh. Freezer-section quality overly-sweet "chinese" food. Lo Mein really did look like Spaghetti noodles, and was pretty bland and sort of slimy. Wonton soup tasted like the the pot had been scrubbed with an old Brillo pad and then rinsed out badly (which I guess means vaguely like rust and soap). Both Orange Chicken and General Tso's chicken were tough and bland, with copious volumes of soggy batter. They were also nearly indistinguishable from each other, despite the fact that I'd ordered my General Tso's "Spicy." Egg rolls were gross and somehow simultaneously mushy and chewy. Spring rolls were better. Gyoza were overcooked and tight. Crab rangoon were chewy and 90% cream cheese. Some of these issues may not be experienced if you're dining in, but there's no getting around that Brillo-pad soup. :-( read more

Their bulgogi and fried rice is very very good. Also their fries wantons are the real deal. I spent a year in Korea, and their bulgogi and and wantons are as good as anything I got while I was there. I ordered some food for delivery, just didn't feel like cooking that evening. I started with the fried rice. It was bland, uninspiring, and about 99% rice, with almost no bits of protein or vegetables. Without a doubt, the least impressive fried rive I've encountered. Next, we have the hot and sour soup. Sour? Yes. Hot? Not so much. I'm used to hot and sour soup opening up my sinuses, but it was not very spicy. Main course: General Tso's Chicken. The chicken was clearly frozen and just re-heated with some generic sauce thrown on top. The breading was not at all crispy- I'm assuming it was just microwaved. The sauce was sweet, but again, not at all spicy. I actually specified "very spicy" when I ordered. Very spicy, at Red Panda, consists of a handful of dried pepper pods tossed on top of your order. The chicken also came with 2 tiny sprigs of broccoli that were not at all incorporated into the dish. They were just sitting on top, looking rather sad. The chicken was bland, soggy, and chewy. Very disappointing. I love Chinese food, but this was not a satisfying meal. The fortune cookie was in about 15 pieces, but that's probably just the result of the delivery process, so I can't lay blame there. Excellent, fresh Chinese food! I don't understand the two reviews that gave this such a poor rating. This is the best Chinese take out I have found in the area. The beef is thinly sliced and perfectly cooked and the sauces are light and delicious. The breading on the fried chicken dishes is a little thick for my personal taste, but it's still very good. I used to go to Fresh Wok in Bedford but the quality there has been running downhill for the past two years. I have found my new favorite takeout! read more

The food here was way over-priced for the quality. We spent $60 to feed 3 people and literally none of us enjoyed the food. 85% of it was thrown away and we re-ordered dinner from somewhere else. Everything was completely un-seasoned & bland. Even the sweet & sour sauce was the consistency of water. The "fried rice" was basically white-rice and a few peas. We ordered orange chicken which was unseasoned and terrible .. Panda Express is better. We ordered Bulgogi which was literally just beef strips and black pepper with no seasoning. We ordered Sweet & Sour chicken which was literally fry chicken with absolutely plain breading with no seasoning and the aforementioned watery "sweet & sour" sauce to go with it. We also ordered some crab Rangoon's which were fried breaded cream cheese I could have made at home. Again, zero seasoning. We all agreed that we've had better food at $10 all-you-can-eat Chinese buffets. Will never order from this joke of a restaurant again. I don't even feel comfortable giving ONE star. read more

They are pretty much on time with the timeframe they give you for a delivery. You wait about 15mins less going to the restaurant and eating there. Place is usually clean too. Food has been always fresh and delicious. We have tried a few different appetizers and main dishes. they are lucky the food was decent but as far as customer service goes. not what I was expecting.. My boyfriend and I ordered food for delivery - two egg rolls, chicken chow mein, beef chow mein, egg drop soup and a two liter of diet Pepsi. the food got here in a reasonable about of time. but when we got everything out we were missing the diet Pepsi. I called the restaurant back (at 7:40 pm) and ask about where my drink was. the lady said they were out and that she told the driver to give us the money back - which he obviously didn't do. she said she would call him and have him come back. It had been about twenty minutes, and he hadn't come back (I went to the store, got a drink and eaten most of our meal) so my boyfriend decided to call again (8:10) The lady said something about trying to call us back (which was a lie, my phone never rang and I never received a voicemail) and she said it might be later - we weren't not planning on staying up all night to get this taken care of. It is now 8:33 and he's still not returned. I feel like it shouldn't have been that hard to just turn around and bring us the money back. And I feel like if he knew he was supposed to give it back to us when he brought our food was he trying get a little bit extra on a tip? shady to say the least. This is the delivery food you get after a bad break up - deeply fried but also kind of soggy because you ordered delivery but it was fast and cheap and they give you a legion of sauce packets you won't use. That being said - it is average. Your tastebuds will not be transported to Asia and most foodies will gripe that they didn't instantly feel baptized by sesame oil and appropriation. If you can accept that, you'll enjoy the large portions and the food delivery service. The bulgogi is oily but tasty. Y'all think y'all slick for using spaghetti noodles for the chow mein though. read more
