Ok, so my first review wasn't great for this establishment and I was hoping to provide details of any redeeming qualities since it was so long ago... Basically, I had a bad experience a few years back and have not returned. Just last week for Mother's Day, my husband and kids purchased a gift certificate for me here unknowingly. I thought I'd try again since it had been a while and things may have changed for the better... ABSOLUTELY NOT. I was super hesitant about getting another nail service here based on previous experience but decided to give the salon another shot. I opted to try out the tanning services instead of nail services at first and read the vibes before committing to anything else. As I walked in all three employees were sitting in pedicure chairs eating or on their phones. Honestly that wouldn't have even bothered me except for the fact they made it seem like I was inconveniencing them by coming in. I had called earlier to enquire about tan pricing and was told it was $20 for 5 tans, nothing else. When I asked to redeem my gift certificate for tanning the woman looked stumped and had to ask the man for information. Once they finally figured it out she asked me what room I wanted and I didn't realize there was more than one? Apparently the 5 tans for $20 was in a dirty room with a tanning bed that looked like it was from the 80's. Nobody bothered to mention that. There were two other options for ridiculously upgraded fees OFC... in both of those rooms (they let me look) looked unkept and not super sanitary. I kindly asked if I could possibly refund the gift certificate as I wasn't comfortable with the facilities or pricing for the services. They refused and began chatting in another language. The guy (same one who jacked up my pedicure years prior) began to literally argue with me about how they were the best priced tanning beds in town and yada yada yada. I wasn't even being difficult, just simply (and politely mind you) asking for a refund. I've literally never been treated this poorly or even been a witness to anyone being treated like this EVER. This place is terrible. The women didn't seem to know what was going on so it probably had nothing to do with them, the guy on the other hand is just rude and argumentative. Never again!! read more

My regular shop was closed and I hadn't had a dip mani in over a month. I decided to try them and apparently their reviews popped up as the other location. So I thought it would be ok to try. When I left my nails were beautiful. Within hours they started to chip. I went in with my nails at the length I wanted and now have nails down to the nail bed. I have been back two times already since Sunday when I initially got them done. Another lady came in with 5-6 fingers chipped and broken and I prayed it wouldn't be me. ITS Me! I'm a nurse and like to keep my hands nice and neat and they look a damn fool after 3 days! They are nice to fix it however keep using the same product over and over. Keep telling me just to keep coming back. I work 12 hr days and don't get off until they close. Now I go back to work a second day with these horrible nails. I'm disappointed as they are close to home and reasonably priced. The guy techs are friendly but I feel unheard. Me and a friend go in here and get a full set. We both Asked for coffin .. I got oval. Every nail is different and shaped weird. I go in the next day and They say they "look fine" to them... ok?! It's not on your body! I told them I go to other nail places and get what I ask for with no problem. Say they can't make them long cause my nail bed is too small.. they do it at every other place. The guy literally argued with me about it long enough for it to be f***ing ridiculous. Asked why I didn't say Anything yesterday before I left and I said I asked multiple times for you to fix a nail and watching you noticeably get frustrated with me.. I gave up. Clearly he couldn't get it right and they were busy so I thought like being considerate for others. I told them very politely that the shape is bad and the length isn't what I asked for. "We can't fix the length without taking them all off." I said cool that's ok with me. He sits down to finish someone else's nails, gets up shortly after and tells me he's not taking them off and putting a new set on for free. It's around Christmas time and I'm putting money in your pockets while supporting your small business. I don't like the way you did my nails and it's my fault? Try being a little bit more professional. And not half ass your job. I said you know what just fix these two nails and it's whatever and left. They have improved so much over the years. They are not pushy and listen to what you want they try to make you as comfortable as they can and make it as enjoyable as they can. They are usually busy but they try to make sure you are taken care of properly and don't rush through anything. read more

Brand new fill as of 5 mins ago. I've gotten new sets from here and they were ok but first time getting a fill.. and you can see the old stuff. So disappointed... All my nails look like this. My daughter's nail polish looked disgusting too, choppy, my 5 year old could of done better. Plus my first time I Broke a nail so easily and even though I gave them another chance. I really wanted to like them, they have cool products but they really need to learn how to do them better. I'm so mad that I can see the old stuff. I can't get over it!!!! I'd pull them off right now but figured after paying for a shit job, I'd paint over it and get a new set in two weeks else where. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is like an assembly line. They just want your money. Went in for acrylic nails. They were quick to get me seated. Sign says acrylics are $19 and fills are $12. My friend was getting a fill at the same time. Get all done and all of a sudden the acrylics are $25 and the fill was $15. WHAT??? Then I start looking at my nails. Bubbles EVERYWHERE and hair under every single nail. I didn't want them touching my nails, so I just paid and got out of there. There are much better places out there. Sarah at VN Nails in Graham is AWESOME, but she is closed on Sundays. That's what I get for not sticking with whom I know. Would NEVER go back to Red Nails. Very displeased with this place right now. I went there to have my shellac removed and the girl was very rough with me. She broke 5 nails trying to get my polish and some powder off. When confronted about all my broken nails they told me I came in with them broke. I didn't not have a single nail broke, now have 5 broke with no polish on and as short as they possibly could. Absolutely terrible. The staff doesn't speak nor understand a lick of English. Even the basics escape them. I wanted a pedicure with my mom so they filled up her tub and got her sat. I was told to sit next to her. The tub wasn't filled yet so I sat in the chair but didn't turn around and put my feet in an empty tub and the gal got so belligerently mad that I wouldn't put my feet in the empty tub that I just got up and said forget it. Why on earth would I want to sit with my feet in a tub without water. Just fill the damn thing it takes two seconds. My favorite place to get my nails done.... By certain people... Ana a worker here at red nails, told me my feet were disgusting and I should seriously consider soaking them twice a week. Then getting my nails done the way I want them done and she tells me they are ugly, and can't do the design I wanted. In spite of the situation I will continue going here but will no longer have service by Ana, I do not recommend her, she ruined my nails a day before my homecoming dance. Not happy. But the owner John said come in the next day to fix it for free. Again I don't recommend the girl Ana, she's rude and demands tips larger than 5$. read more

I love this place! The people are very kind and do any design you want, for an affordable price. The gel nail polish they use is applied properly and does not lift. My hands and toes are painted with their gel nail polish and I go in 3-4 weeks. No issues. I have not tried any other services, so I cannot speak to it. Over all I love their service and work they do on my hands and feet. Go to see the owner Kim or Jenny. Just a little side note. They are not yelling at you when they speak to you, it is just a tone they speak in. read more

I just took my mother, nearly 86, for her first manicure, while I got a mani/pedi. I must say, I'm very happy with mine. The problem is how my mother was taken advantage of. I was getting my pedicure at the time, and did not see they only offered her the gel nail option - just told her to pick a color. So that was 2x the cost she was expecting. And, she showed the lady the color she wanted - that's not what she ended up with. Instead of a lovely light purple, to go with a dress for a wedding today, she ended up with a very faint beige-ish color. I thought she'd changed her mind, until she commented it wasn't what she expected and thought the woman had just grabbed the wrong color. My mother has never been to a nail salon before, so she didn't know the procedure. As I was getting my manicure, I told her to have them redo the color (I still didn't know it was a gel polish), but the very proper British upbringing she had (yes, she is British), she wouldn't make a fuss. When we went to pay, and she was told the price, I said it was supposed to be the regular manicure. "No, it is gel polish." The man who took my reservation yesterday just looked on and didn't intervene. I wouldn't stress my mother out by causing a big scene, but I think it's reprehensible to pull a fast one on people who don't know - especially a senior citizen. The woman who did her nails knew what was going on - my mother didn't. The job was lovely, but not the right color and definitely not the right way to treat a person. I may return. She might - but she now knows to be direct, to the point of rude, about what she wants. As a result, she did something she never does - paid, and no tip. read more
