I came here a couple weeks ago for shrimpfest. It was a little bit of a wait as expected cause of a weekend night and the deals going on. That's not why I give it less stars. I come here sometimes cause I like the food and the cheddar bay biscuits. I am a seafood lover. One of the main reasons I give it less stars is cause we wait so long between placing our order and getting food or even bread. Sometimes it feels like they forget us. I recently went here for dinner. The service was really great. Our waitress was young and very new, but when the cooks gave her the wrong food she immediately sorted it out and was very apologetic for the extra wait. I got the classic seafood platter, all fried goodness. My dining companion got the Endless Shrimp, you get the first two dishes at once. So, his first plate had 23 shrimp, yes, he counted. Their strawberry daiquiri was huge and had a good balance of alcohol and sweetness. The new decor was very nice and the mellow soundtrack was way better than most chain restaurants.' Service was ok, but the food seemed off. The biscuits didn't taste that they used to, not sure if they changed the recipe or not. The salad, which is free, is ALWAYS drenched in dressing, so ask for it on the side. Called ahead for a party of 7 to arrive at 720pm. We all got there at 7 went to hostess and got the pager. Waited... by 745pm went back to the hostess and was told they already paged us and we never came come to find out our pager was broke but yet they never tried to call out name...we were told that we would be the next large party by 805pm we still waited went back to the hostess who was different and was told they buzzed us 20 mins ago and we were the second large party...by the time another hostess came explained to her and were seated immediately...So we waited an hour and 20 mins to get a seat... our party ordered 1 soda 3 alcoholic drinks a water 2 teas a lemonade and a smoothie it t.ook 35 mins for everyone to get their drinks the appetizer came out sporadically and two ppl had to an extra 10 mins to get there food when the rest of us already had ours... a $200+ bill and no discount for there error.. this was a horrible experience.the food was ok.. read more

This was the worst dinning experience ever. We were seated by the window in the bar area needless to say it was very cold and drafty on top of the restaurant already being cold. The food was horrible the only thing worth eating was the bisquits and salad. So pissed because we waited so long to be seated. It would not have been so bad had the food been good. I wish I could give 0 stars waited 45 mins to be seated. Got a waitress that waited on my table 4 times.1 time to take the order which she insisted on reciting rather than writing it down on that lovely pen and pad that was hanging from her apron. She kept getting it wrong so we had to keep saying it. Literally took 5 mins. 2 to bring us salads and biscuits to our table 25 mins after our initial order.3 to bring our drinks that were filled with ice to the top but barely had liquid in them an additional 10 mins after we got our biscuits and salad. 4 to bring us our bill. No refills were inquired about bc we never saw her! Got our food it was poorly seasoned and room temperature in some parts. I will never go back. This place killed my love for Red lobster all together. Will be calling corporate Monday as well as filling out the survey she do kindly pointed out. I would not recommend this red lobster to anyone ever. Food took along time, I ordered pasta with crab and alfredo sauce and it was soaked in butter. it was like soup the bottom of the bowl was all liquid. Head cook told me that i should've ordered the alfredo sauce on the SIDE. Ordered a burger with no lettuce and tomato and still got the lettuce and tomato. The hostess told us to wait 15-20 minutes but we ended up waiting 30+ while everyone that came after us were seated quickly; even though there were parties of four or more. As a member of the submarine society i thought it was appropriate to have our end of the week gala at red lobster. So me and my dad's evening started out fine, at least untill the food came. I had decided to impress the girls at the next table over by eating my lobster really fast. Boy was i careless! A sliver of lob went down the wrong pipe and i was off to the races spewing chunks right at poor old daddy. And due to his recent eye surgery the band aids over them made it impossible for him to see. Only his right arm flew backwards ( lost his left working at mutual of omaha) he hit the waitress right in the guts and she spilled the scalding hot Yucatan talapia right in my crushes lap! A very underrated, mature brand. Actually love the dark lighthouse look of the dining room. They do have very strong, colorful, and large dishes. Place can get very busy Thurs-Mon nights. Don't order anything weird, stick to what is well pictured and popular, which will be on the more expensive side. As with any place, if service or quality gets touchy, speak up! They will fix absolutely anything for you. Never had a problem here. Good for when you're in the mood to have garlicky buttery heavy seafood. They have pretty good Nebraska Angus steaks too (filet, strip) but may want to ask for light seasoning. read more

We went to Red Lobster yesterday, and it was a disappointing experience. The only food we got that was good was the salads. The shrimp were small and undercooked, the lobster tails were tiny and overlooked, the rice was hard, the corn on the cob was cold and hard, the asparagus was so small and burnt, the sirloin was like a medium sized undercooked meatball, and the drinks we ordered were supposed to come with a rum shooter, but we never got them. This place has gone so far downhill. The prices are big, the portions small, the service is mediocre, and we will not be going back. $120 including tip for two dinners with one apply, not good. read more

Came to red lobster to celebrate my son's birthday (he chose the restaurant). We were seated promptly for once. We typically have had to wait a long time and for the entire party to be present. Our service however was horrible. Our waitress took for ever to come to the table, she rarely checked on us. Our table was a 4 seater than extended and became a 6 seater. The extension parts are slanted, which caused a dressing to spill on my husband and I. Our table was also full of plates as our waitress did not clean our empty plates unless we asked or gave them to her. The worse part of our experience is that someone in our party gave 20 cash towards the bill. So we put the 20 and a credit card. Without asking the waitress assumed the 20 was her tip and charged the entire bill to the credit card. We planned on leaving 20% but I don't believe a waitress should assume anything is a tip until the bill is paid. I don't recommend this red lobster to anyone. read more

Went to this place because of all the commercial of the endless shrimp. After waiting about 10-15 min for our order, the shrimp came out soggy. The the server told me that I have to finish my first 2 order of shrimp before she can put the other order in the kitchen. ( Sorta like when your mama tells you to finish everything on your plate ). I cleaned up my plate of about 10 shrimps in about 3 minutes... and waitied about 10 minutes for the server ( it was quite a busy day for them )., So she took my order , I then asked if I can get more shrimp ( My favorite is the fried one ). SHe said she cant. After another 15 minutes of waiting. My fried shrmp came back delicious ! fresh off the fryer. I told her can she gett me another order. Same response... she was done with our table and was helping other people. Its not her fault its just corporate policy. Im angry and they should stop the tv commercials about endless shrimp. because its really not. More like endless wait for shrimp. Yes. the manager is gave us the first plate, due to us waiting a long time for it ( she's actually really friendly and reallly hot ) not for nothing. I would go back just to see her. read more

I came here on a weeknight with my boyfriend who has been dying to eat at Red Lobster. We were seated right away, the place wasn't crowded. We were seated right behind the entrance to the bar area and as another reviewer wrote, there was a funky odor coming from the bar area. To me, it smelled like dirty carpet and spilled beer that no one ever bothered to clean up. Our server was a young woman with dark hair, I can't remember her name- it started with an "M". We were given a basket of cheddar biscuits and we ordered drinks. Our server kept asking us if we wanted more biscuits, which was nice. My boyfriend ordered the Langastino Lobster Artichoke and Seafood Dip, which he enjoyed and it was a huge portion. We then ordered our main courses- I had a half portion of the Cajun Chicken Linguini Alfredo, which I liked, but it was a little oily. My boyfriend had the Wood Grilled Tacos with some sort of seafood and he liked them, but ended up taking most of them home. We also both got small salads with our main courses. Overall, this Red Lobster location is just OK. However, I don't think I've ever been wowed by any Red Lobster location. read more

My wife and kids ate the location in Wayne. Awful idea. Walked in with no wait thought it would be great. Saying that our waitress Tiana was horrible. My kids got refills 30 minutes after they ate . I had to go to the bar and get my refill on my drink when it was not busy. Refill on bread when we asked while our dinner was brought to us. We got bread when we where done with our meal may I remind you my fish had to go back to add sauce on it. Amazing. There was a so called manager on duty with a chef jacket on walked by everyone twice and did not touch any tables to see what or how was our meal or anyone meal. Consistently friendly service and great food. Biscuits are always fresh and hot and the server kept our drinks filled without being asked despite them being very busy over Valentine's Day Weekend. I ordered my favorite dish the grilled Lobster, shrimp and salmon and it was perfect. I really enjoyed the new lobster cocktail appetizer. My folks and I have been coming here to eat for years. We sometimes come with my aunt and uncle as well. We've always had a great time. The only complaint I ever have really is that getting to it can be a bit of a pain since we have to do a U-ee off of 46 West to get back on in the opposite direction which is the side that the restaurant is on. Red Lobster never fails to please me. The food is tasty and actually very well-prepared for a large chain restaurant. I love seafood and this location is great for families, dates, whatever. The exterior of the restaurant has changed a few times in the past and they re-did the interior once (I think the place had to close down for a little while) but luckily the food has never suffered. We were here for dinner on Friday night and I had seen the endless shrimp promotion on the television and decided to take advantage of it. What was odd was that it wasn't obvious on the menu but I ordered the teriyaki shrimp and shrimp scampi in garlic over rice pilaf (you get two choices). We go to red lobster every once in a while for a reasonably priced meal. Normally the servers are great, attentive, and quick. Tonight we got STEVE.... This guy came to our table stressed and told us about his awful day yesterday where all 6 of his tables complained about him AND how today a table skipped out on the bill. At first we felt bad but then he proceeded to take our order but repeated it about 4 different times. One time he even asked my husband to move over to sit down and tell us more about his day. Every course he had to review the entire order and point to other orders on his check pad. Later he took another servers food out that wasn't his table and offered it to us on his way back to the kitchen. Received another table and we heard the entire sob story again with a different amount he lost. Another server who was doing other tables around us was awesome! Ask for mustafo! DO NOT ASK FOR Steve - short buzz cut guy in his early 20s possibly on drugs. So after we asked for a box and bill he left for 5-8 min we checked for him and he was staring at the computer putting the other tables order in. He eventually came by but it was to check on the other tables salads and drinks. We caught the manager who printed our check which had both tables orders on it. The guy couldn't remember what we ordered so I had to mark off the items for them so they could reprint the check. Stevie came back with the correct check and at this point he was not getting my credit card to pay. We took it to the bar and took care of it. But guess who came back the quickest to make sure we paid ? Stevie he was rushing through to the front looking for us. We took our time and left him $5 bc I felt bad leaving him nothing and caught him on the way out and told him we left the check. Went yesterday, Sunday. Worse service ever! The waitress was nice but very overwhelmed. We sat over 30 min until she came to take our order. Waited another 20 minutes for our drinks to come with no biscuits. We sat watching another table with the same situation as ours. Also watched another table of 10 with disabled adults. That was the topper because they were completely ignored. Another table who came about 20 minutes after them were taken care of with even drinks coming to their table meanwhile the table with the disabled adults were again not look at and ignored. In the meantime we finally get our meal. And still nothing at their table. We observed when one of the counselors at their table stood up after waiting patiently for over 40 minutes and went herself and came back with water's and two baskets of biscuits. So unacceptable. We even called over to manager to complain because at that point our appetite seriously changed. The manager looked like she did not know what she was doing, she told her she will be back with our biscuits for our table since we were still waiting, she never did return to our table. To make this review shorter, I will cut more details and say again, the worst service ever. I will never return, the manager did not know how to handle the situation at all completely ignored our complaints in which we also added the complaint about that other table. We were so disgusted we got up and left to the front. Requested to see the manager once again, we were ignored completely waited about 10 minutes. And with the advice of the person in the front, left. The service was awful but the worst part of it was the way the table with the disabled people retreated. That is a complete disgust. Yesterday , I went to have dinner at Red Lobster in Wayne, NJ with my husband but I was really disappointed this time. First, our server didn't show up after we had been seated and we had to wait for her like 10 minutes (her name was Khadija by the way), anyways she was nice and she appologized for her delay, then I ordered Bahama mama and I had to wait for it until my husband had his first glass of wine and then after he had the second and we had our appetizer, I know it is a frozen drink and it might take some time to prepare it but not that much time that I had to wait , and the place didn't have so many customers and they were not that busy and the server kept saying ; oh your drink is coming. Then we had two salads and then 2 minutes later, another server or runner I am not sure her name is Michelle , she dropped off the main dishes actually she threw them on the table without even smiling and she was like oh eat fast and leave we are about to close , she didn't even answer when we thanked her, and the food was cold and the sauce was very poor and tasteless , my overall experience is so bad and I was turned off. One should pay money specially at a restaurant like Red lobster which is not cheap at all and it is supposed to be a fine dinning place. Went to red lobster today with my fiancé and daughter and I have to say this is one of the worst services anyone can experience at a restaurant. Waitress took forever to come out. Almost an hour of waiting until food arrives. Coming from a person that works in retail and deals with customers in a daily basis, this is horrible. I found the hostess who greeted us very friendly and our waitress whose name was marylin was very nice and accommodating she was very patient in taking our orders and was prompt on serving them also I very much enjoyed my lunch there and I had theshrimp scampi which was excellent also 2 iced teas and the dessert ice cream with the chocolate , whipped cream and cherry wghich was also good but I should have had a small one as my late mom would have said my eyes were bigger than my stomach . I had the most awesome experience here last night. First off my wife called before we got there. Once we were there it was jam packed and wait times were in the 1hr 45min range. It was around 7:20pm. My wife was told our wait time was approx 40min. Now this place was jammed pack with folk. In 40min we were seated. The manager was going around offering patrons nice freshly hot bread, as they waited. This was a clear indication to me that this place cared on wanted to make their patrons comfortable. I have never seen this before in any restaurant. I ordered the Admirals Feast with baked potato and a side of coleslaw. My plate came out freshly hot and everything was just marvelous. All of the food on my plate was cooked to perfection and scrumptious. I simply and truly enjoyed everything. How I was able to have such a good meal at a place that was serving beyond there capacity, is a true testament to the staff and management. Restroom had sticky floors, dirty toilet. Waited 8 minutes before waitress asked for our drink orders, then another 15 minutes before we got 4 waters and two kids drinks. She finally came back to get our food order and came to the table saying " ready to order? Sorry I was busy" Biscuits came another 10 minutes without plates to serve them on (improvised by using soup plate). Asked for a garden salad with Caesar dressing twice (1 for me, 1 for my son)but still brought a Caesar salad (we don't like romaine lettuce). She exchange one for me, my son had two bites of his and left it. I don't know if it was supposed to have 1 tomato, 1 onion , and 1 cucumber (but it had none of these). Food came with extremely hot plates ( meaning it was waiting in the warming section for a long while).my son asked for a chocolate milk, she said she couldn't find any milk. My other son orders a raspberry lemonade, an when I asked for a refill at 9:23pm she said that there was no more, that they were closing everything down (we only received our drinks at 8:23). We had 3 desserts included (we were going to split it because it's too much for us) it was my husband, 4 young children and I ... She could've brought us a couple of extra plates and spoons (every other restaurant that I've ever been to at least bring extra spoons in case someone wants a bite) at no moment did she refill our waters which were empty after our biscuits arrived. It was my son's birthday and I originally wanted the staff to sing happy birthday to him, but I was so upset that we tried to just rush out of there. I got home, and called to ask for the general manager (Terence Greenberg) and they said he wasn't there. I asked when would he be in, they responded "I don't know". The bill came out to 83.18. I only left a $9 tip (and only because my husband asked me to, I didn't want to leave her a penny!) I always tip 20% or more as long as I get treated with respect.
