Food was awful on our recent visit. Tasteless uninspired food. Service was excellent. Kitchen slow. Won't eat there again.

Was in town for the Rally and decided to hit up red lobster, that was a mistake. We were promptly sat down and our waitress came over and took our order but then we were waiting and waiting and waiting and Danny our drinks came out but then more waiting and waiting then the bread came out and then more waiting. Finally the food came out and my gfs linguini had a hair in it so it was sent back. I ordered the surf and turf and while lobster is what it is the steak was TOUGH, I mean over cooked and hard. Her replacement came out and it was super hot but really no seasoning. The place wasn't busy at all at 5 which should have been the tip off. Came here with my wife for her birthday, we both got the 50 dollar feast, 2 daquries and a dr.pepper. The food was amazing! The server was absolutely horrendous. We didn't even get plates for our biscuits. Didn't get the mashed potatoes and had to flag her down for those. Had to hound her for refills on my dr.pepper, she had a serious attitude problem. We spent 136 dollars to get treated like shit. We where just trying to have a nice dinner for my wife's birthday. We got the check and laughed at how big of a tip is recommended, 33 dollars for shitty service? She's lucky we even tipped. read more

Stopped here on vacation and was very happy with the food. It was quick and cooked perfectly, the popcorn shrimp and baked potato lunch was great and consistent with the quality of the other Red Lobsters I've visited. The staff was friendly and very prompt with their service. I wish they had had sweet tea, but they didn't so I got the lemonade. It was a bit too sour for my taste, but some people like it that way! The ambiance was calm, quiet, and very relaxed. Perfect place for a date or to eat a relaxing meal. The windows let you see where your car is parked, which is perfect for travelers worried about the safety of their belongings in their car. Overall, a great place to eat lunch! read more

Went to Rapid so stopped at the old stomping grounds before leaving town. It's been over 10 years since I've worked or ate at The Lobster. It was a little weird to walk in and see the same floor plan 6 states away. Skyler, our server, was super nice and helpful. My partner drank the Lobster punch before he tried my Bahama Mama and then ordered that for his next round. I went in wanting the Lobster Pizza but they changed it up a little and now it's flat bread, still tastes great and this is coming from me who doesn't like lobster or tomatoes. For our main dish Rola ordered the Lobster Linguine and I ordered the Endless Shrimp. I tried the new Crispy Sea Salt Vinegar, I had about half but I just couldn't grow a liking to them. I decided to try something new and got the lobster shrimp linguine. I had also ordered a cocktail but the waitress forgot and I didn't get my drink until the main meal came. Now first issue was honestly no flavor, the sauce didn't stick to the pasta so it was like eating just plain pasta, boring. The lobster and shrimp also didn't taste well, each bite of lobster was mushy to the point I had to spit it out, and the shrimp was chewy...also both didn't have any flavor even after I added salt and pepper. Had to eat off my husband's plate as his shrimp tasted great. My waitress was absolutely amazing, even after I told her it was OK when she saw I didn't eat my food she still took it off the bill so I tipped her good. It's alright. We stopped after a long day driving and this was our first time at a Red Lobster. We came at 7 and were told a 15 min wait. It turned into a 45 minute wait. Kids sat and watched the lobsters in the waiting room. We sat and ordered right away. We only received one basket of bread and no refills. The food was ok. We split a meal and my kids had their own. $80 for 5 with a split adult meal. No appetizer. It was a clean restaurant. It's a Red lobster. Sea food in South Dakota. Best thing we had was the baked potato. We came from Oregon Coast so pretty used to fresh seafood. The service was wonderful from the hostess to the manager who made sure we were satisfied with our meals, even bringing a new dish of sprouts because they were still crispy/undercooked. We ordered three shrimp for $20; coconut shrimp, shrimp and scallops and garlic shrimp. Also ordered the rainbow trout with crispy brussel sprouts and baked potato, and the crab queso. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the flavor palette was delicious. Everything tasted so good together and separately. The sprouts had great flavor with a balsamic reduction and fried crisp onions, just needed to be a uniform size and cooked longer. Overall, one of the best meals I've had in a long while. They're practicing social distancing and make you wait outside or in the car for a table and staff wear masks. Our waitress was incredibly nice and accommodating. Food came out quickly, was fresh, and was great. I normally don't take time to review chain restaurants, but our experience tonight was really positive, so I thought it would be worth a write-up. We stopped in just before the dinner rush on a Saturday night while visiting the area to see Mt Rushmore and other nearby attractions. Our server, Monica, was super friendly and treated my teenage daughters as valued customers just as much as me and my wife, which is a HUGE service win in my book. Our food was served quickly and was delicious. I had the wood-fired lobster tacos and was thoroughly impressed. Although the lobster was a bit overwhelmed by the other ingredients, it was tasty and seemed to work much like a lobster roll does. Red Lobster portions tend to be on the large side, so Monica was very helpful in boxing and bagging our leftovers, including a couple desserts to go. This was a very nice dining experience that exceeded our expectations due to superb service. Makes me want to visit Red Lobster again in the future. read more

It did had little flavor, and the flavor it did have was of the crab (if it even was crab) which ruined any chance of redemption the pasta had. Years ago I went to a Red Lobster training store in Orlando Fl. Most, since that day were disappointing. Happy to say that on my Wife's birthday we had a superior experience. All of the food was very good! Our server Hannah G was excellent. Friendliness, flexibility, and a zeal for customer service is what I observed at this store. This is the RL I remember from years ago. The manager here really knows what she is doing. If RL is going to attempt to expand they should follow her management strategy.
