Me and my wife went to red lobster over the weekend. To enjoy something different the waiting staff was awesome. She helped us out with different deals add-ons drinks stayed right on top of us. The food was right on spot. I got her new bacon cheeseburger with the tater my wife got a whole bunch of weird looking shrimp stuff. I can't eat that stuff. laugh out loud to the core is seaworthy looks good clean only thing I have a bad about this. It's always freezing when you go inside. Have to wear a hoodie to stay warm. I like to enjoy my food not treats. I don't know what it is about these places they try to freeze you out, but it is what it is food with delicious read more

Very good place in marion to while this was your typical red lobster, the seating area was just a bit different. It seemed smaller, but clean throughout. We were served by katelyn, who took very good care of us and the food was delish as usual. Clean, consistent, good price point and deals. read more

We went here to celebrate a family milestone and walked out frustrated and unhappy. The food was mediocre at best and the service wasn't any better, even though there were only a few tables of people (at 12:30 on a Wednesday). I had the flounder sandwich and it was so disgustingly fishy that I couldn't eat even half of it. They also put cole slaw on top of the fish and it was bland and wilted from the heat of the fish. Another party member had the popcorn shrimp meal and asked for a salad with it. The waitress said she would make that his side, rather than French fries, slaw, etc. When our food came he then asked for fries and she said she had to charge him full price for them since the salad was his "side", so he opted out. So his "meal" was popcorn shrimp and a small bowl of salad. However, when the bill came he was charged full price for the "popcorn shrimp meal" (meaning 2 items) as well as a salad "because everyone gets charged for salad" and she refused to remove the charge, even though that was supposed to be his "side dish" of this meal. She actually stood there and argued with us, refusing to see our reasoning! The third person in our party had the endless soup and salad and wasn't asked if he wanted more until we waved the waitress down. Also, I had to request a refill of my soda even though my glass was clearly empty. We will not be returning to this location. Very disappointing experience. read more

We have a group who eats out 4 to 5 times a week and we change locations often . For awhile we thought the Red lobster was closed but stopped one day and met Renne the manager who suggested we give Red Lobster a try. We have many times and the last time we had Britt Fish as a waitress. She was very good and made our visit a pleasant one. Renne came out and asked how we was doing which was nice. Visited here with the hubs on a Sunday brunch-time afternoon. Although they don't have an actual brunch menu we did stay and partake into some drinks and eats. The traffic was VERY low at this time so the service was SUPER quick and attentive. The service was great. The prices were somewhat high and the food was decent. I would definitely say that for the costs I would probably visit a more upscale place. The interior of the building itself is a bit outdated, it's not too apparent until you visit the bathrooms. The bathrooms are straight 80's! aaaaaaaaaaand could use some deep cleaning TBH. All things considered, the visit was alright. I probably won't be back unless I have another gift card, but... Went with a party of 5 on a weekend and was seated pretty quickly. The food was good as normal. We like going to this location as it is always quicker to get seated than at the Polaris location. Friendly servers that provide quality service in a clean place. I also like the eco friendly paper straws. read more

Food is as usual, overpriced and underwhelming. The new Kung pao chicken bowl was really good however. Our waitress was great but the entire experience was damaged by the hostess who took the names of a couple that walked in after us without acknowledging us already standing there. We have her our name and advised her we'd been there for a while before them but no one was up front. Several other couples were waiting as well. She ignored that and proceeded to seat the couple that came in after us first. As we were walking past her to our table she said something I didn't hear and then loudly snapped you're welcome to us when we didn't instantly respond. I found out from the person seating us that she was the GENERAL MANAGER. So rude and unprofessional when we were perfectly polite to her. I will never return to this location. The food is alright, but it seems the prices keep going up and the restaurant is not as busy as it once was. The place is noted for very slow service, so do not go if you are in a rush. In a recent visit, the service was so slow for lunch, we were late getting back to work. read more

We were greeted by the smell of cigarette ash as the ash tray is right next to the entrance of the Red Lobster in Marion... This kind of set up the entire visit. As we waited for our seat we were entertained by the terrible, no, catastrophic execution by the hostesses as three customers in a matter of fifteen minutes came up to the counter complaining their name was never called... As far as I could see, the hostesses weren't calling names toward the bar and really had no regard for their customers or their job. We were seated without issue and in a timely manner. Once seated we observed the employees of RL mindlessly doing their jobs with blank faces and some even rolling eyes and making faces as they walked to the kitchen; this must be a dreaded place to work... Our waitress was nice but when she wasn't speaking to us, had the same drained and "I hate my job" look on her face as well. She did an adequate job and our food came out with the expected quality. As the night progressed and the crowd thinned out, the faces of employees seemed to lighten and some even started talking to each other and cracked a smile or two. If you're looking for a Red Lobster to eat at this one fits the bill and you'll get the food you expect. The culture at this Red Lobster is obviously broken, I ate my food wondering which of the every employee I saw would be the disgruntled employee spitting on my crab legs or wiping my mashed potatoes off the floor before they made it to my table... I gave them two stars because our food and service was adequate, but the culture I observed made the experience uncomfortable. read more

Yeah, we all know Red Lobster along with it's Darden family wax and wane. But after having fairly good experiences at two of their other locations, I went in with fair expectations. They were busy with the dinner crowd on a Saturday evening, but we had no wait to be seated. While our table location was on the tight side, the decor, though nothing dazzling, was clean and comfortable. Our server was nice and competent. However, the manager who stopped by and asked about our experience was mentally and physically walking away before we could look up. We started out with cheese sticks. They were good but not a stand out in the world of cheese sticks. Meanwhile, the famous biscuits were warm and also good if not a tad on the salty side. Moving on, I felt the four course meal was a deal. While the portions were not huge, I was stuffed with clam chowder, a side salad, shrimp and scallop alfredo, and caramel cheesecake for less than an entrée. Took my Mother there for her Birthday at lunch time. When we walked in there were two other couples at the hostess stand waiting to be seated. The place was probably 85% EMPTY at the time. It was ridiculous. Normally I would have walked out, but since I was with my Mom, I bit my tongue and we waited about 20 minutes for a table. Hey, I understand that you are short staffed for whatever reason, but there is no excuse not to be seated at a table and given menus with a drink order taken. You still have a hostess, a bartender who had no customers, and a Manager who seemed to be hiding for most of the time. I ordered the dinner size portion of the Salmon and my Mom had the Fish & Chips. When our meals arrived, I received two medallion shaped portions of Salmon, each was about the size of 1 1/2 Silver Dollars. And about 1 inch thick. I thought it wasn't even Salmon. Again, since I was with my Mom I didn't send it back, but any other time I'm getting up and heading out the door. As you might expect, it was over-cooked. My Mom's Fish & Chips were good she said. My Salmon ran me over $20. I wouldn't want to pay $10 for what they served me. It used to be so good. I'm not sure what their problem is now in the kitchen. I sent an e-mail to their Corporate Offices that same day. It was January 12th I believe. They care so much about their Customers and their Customer Service, that I still have not heard back from them. I may try them once more and if they fall flat again, they are dead to me. read more

Around noon on November 5, 2016, a friend and I stopped at this Red Lobster in Marion. We were greeted politely and seated promptly. However, after a more-than-reasonable wait, no one came to take our order. Perhaps the was because the servers were apparently too busy clearing the tables to make ant type of contact with us. I was surprised with this lack of poor service. We did not stay and told the greeter they must not want business. read more

I went to Marion Red Lobster and sat at the bar. I am a huge fan of Red Lobster, as I visit them in every city I visit. At this particular time, I was looking to sit for a minute, have a quick drink, and then leave. I sat there for more than 15 minutes and wasn't even greeted. The manager Renee (I heard someone say her name) completely passed over me and went to a guest that got there after me. And the bartender was nowhere to be seen the whole time I was there. I feel it is very rude that the only people to acknowledge me were the hosts when I entered (very nice and inviting by the way). I think Marion Red Lobster should be very careful in who they hire concerning the help and management. Besides this particular incident, my past couple visits have been less than average, concerning food and hospitality. More visits from managers to make sure visits are up to par are definitely needed for future visits. If I even come back. read more
