Disappointing experience after years of loyalty I have been coming to Red Lobster since I was a little girl and have always loved it. My brother recently took my mom and me to the Goodyear, AZ location to celebrate with Endless Shrimp, and I was especially excited since I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and had been craving shrimp for days. When we walked in, we were informed that the main A/C was out. They had portable A/C units and fans running throughout the dining room. Even though it was warm, we decided to stay and enjoy our dinner anyway. Unfortunately, the service ruined the evening. Our server never refilled our drinks once during the entire meal. Worse, she made me feel completely judged for participating in the Endless Shrimp promotion. After bringing a second round of shrimp for our table, she offered another round. I ordered one more side, and she gave me a visibly surprised look before walking away. When she came back, I politely explained that I was pregnant and just really hungry, hoping to clear the air. When I asked for a box for my remaining food, she refused, stating that Endless Shrimp isn't for take-home. I let her know I've been coming to Red Lobster for years and had never been spoken to like that. She became visibly upset, told me I shouldn't have ordered the last dish if I couldn't finish it, and made the whole situation incredibly uncomfortable. At that point, I just handed the plate back to her and told her to take it--I didn't even want it anymore. To be treated so rudely while simply trying to enjoy a special family dinner was deeply disappointing. I had kind of forgotten about Red Lobster. I think the last time I went to one was years ago, when Beyoncé released "Formation" and told us ladies to take our men to Red Lobster when they do a certain thing for us--so I took my husband to dinner. Anyway, after spending the previous week crying and having panic attacks while studying for one of the most important, life-changing, career-altering exams of my life (and then passing with a high score; yay me.) my mom and her hubs decided I deserved a treat. Unfortunately, when they offered to take me out to dinner, I was running on three hours of sleep and had already shut down the decision-making portion of my brain. I gave my husband the dead-eyed stare that said, "You figure it out," and this was the place he recommended. We were not mad. We both ordered the build-your-own shrimp meal. I always get the shrimp scampi, and my husband always gets Walt's Favorite Shrimp because apparently neither of us believes in unnecessary personal growth. Everything came out hot, buttery, and exactly as good as we remembered. They also made me a killer daiquiri, which was precisely what I needed after a week of panic attacks, three hours of sleep, and one life-changing exam. I recently went to Red Lobster since my last visit after several years. The restaurant should have been closed. with over 118 degrees outside in AZ and entering into the restaurant wasn't too bad at first. Until after you sat down, settled in, ordered your drink. Then I'm wondering why there were just a few (key word "few") fans in the restaurant; come to find out the A/C was out. Mind you we are in AZ & dining in a restaurant with no A/C. It should have been closed. Rather than letting us ask or find out that the A/C was out. At least, have the hostess tell us right away before sitting or better yet, how about putting a note on the front door to give the option for the customers to decide to dine in or not. I can't imagine the health risk for the employees to work in this kind of atmosphere or environment. It was just me who dined , it was so , so, very hot, I could not cool down or finish my meal. Should've turned around and left when we saw literally four tables full in an otherwise dead restaurant. When she did come she introduced herself, said she's bring bread and take drink orders then. She came back another five minutes later. Said she was waiting for the beer. That's fine I get it. She gave us three biscuits lol. We were excited to get the crab stuffed mushrooms only to find they are now seafood stuffed ... it's now five more dollars for crab stuffed. Making it $20 . No thanks.the bread was so dry. We then waited forever for the waitress to reappear to take our order. My husband's beer tasted off so he asked if she'd given him something seasonal or what he asked for. She said i dont know it comes in a bucket ummm ok ha ha what does that mean. We hurried an ordered before she vanished again. Our food came out slowly. Side salads were good. Our baked potatoes were small and dry as well. Steak was overcooked, lobster was decent, but again little overdone. My husband muttered through his meal. The waitress showed up for a minute to tell my husband he was right it was a seasonal beer. She asked if he liked it and he again said no it tasted weird. He had to again tell her he wanted a regular of the beer he asked for the first time. .We left wishing we'd just ate at home. Our waitress definitely needs more training and customer service skills. We watched her talk to another table who just arrived and she said we have no biscuits is that okay? They told her no that's part of why they came. Awkward silence then she said oh they'll make more but not for a while. They hadn't even received food by the time we left. My family and I went to this location on Tuesday, October 31 at 7:30 PM. We noticed they were short staffed, so we knew that the service may be a little slow. Our server was very courteous but our experience with our food was very disappointing . My husband's crab legs were not hot, lukewarm, almost cold. Much, much better! Red Lobster had always been a favorite for us. In our previous visit however, the nice menu's had gone away and my crab was reheated and inedible. Everything was inedible. I had feared it was curtains for the chain. Well, I decided to check recent reviews out of curiosity and was surprised at what I found. First, we were worried it would be crowded on a Friday night, but were pleased at being seated right away. Our server was Jennifer. I asked for a beer and it was literally there in three minutes flat. That is unusual for anyone. She immediately took our appetizer order. The seafood stuffed mushrooms looked good. They weren't bad, they had nice crab cake stuffing. We then ordered dinner. I have always enjoyed the Ultimate Feast and my wife likes Walt's fried Shrimp. So let's go with that. What I really liked about the Ultimate Feast menu item was that you could customize it. So I ordered a lobster tail, crab legs, Walt's fried shrimp and grilled shrimp, with a loaded baked potato and brussel sprouts on the side. The dish arrived and I was suprised at how much food was on the plate! They weren't stingy at all. Okay, let's get the worst out of the way. The brussel sprouts looked deliciously fried, but were swimming in balsamic. I could not eat them. That said, EVERYTHING else was delicious!. I started with the lobster. It was large and sweeter than I've had in a long while! The snow crab was equally as good and Walt's shrimp was as good as ever! I thoroughly enjoyed everything! Brought my wife here for all you can eat shrimp and she had 6 different flavors and loved all but one, you have to try them to figure out which one I do not like shrimp so I had chicken fingers, the frozen kind but they were ok. The food was to be as expected: noticeably "chain food". I got the rainbow trout which was surprisingly good actually. My boyfriend got the stuffed flounder, he wasn't a fan. We both got fries as one of our sides. Let me tell these you, these are probably the worst fries I've had in recent memory. Absolutely not a grain of salt in sight. Very bland and small portions. So my husband and I went to Red Lobster, we have been there hundreds of times. They sadly discontinued their crab Alfredo and so I got shrimp Alfredo instead. Everything was great, service was on par, my husbands meal was great, but my shrimp Alfredo came out and the shrimp still had the tails on them. Now I have had this similar meal at other places and not once did they leave the tails on the shrimp. I asked the server since I thought maybe it was a mistake and she informed me that is how it is made now. She also said people have also complained about the shrimp being done like that since they switched their way about a year ago. Thought it was interesting. I still ate it and it tasted fine, although the sauce did seem to be different. Our server was great, the manager was around and doing a great job, it was prom night for many schools so it was a busier night. read more

The fish was saturated with oil didn't allow the fish to cook with all that batter; service was good. The waitress was friendly ambience was nice kind of dark, but romantic the fish taste better at Culver better presentation. We have been coming to this location for quite a few years. Always had an amazing experience. Well not today. As we entered the host wasn't there, waited at least 10 minutes. Other employees saw us but didn't acknowledge us. Finally the girl showed up, no greetings no apologies for making us wait. Ok cool. She asks how many people and tells me we need to wait. Although the restaurant is pretty empty. Another family comes and a gentleman from the bar grabs them and accommodates them right away to their table (he was very friendly and polite). Finally our host shows up and just ushers us to the table ( may be she was having a bad day). As we seat at the table the waitress comes at this point I am really hoping she is in a better mood, after all we are here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately it wasn't the case. Alexandria gave us the most hostile service ever. She seemed in a rush and was quite abrupt. Like I mentioned before we have been coming here for many years and do understand the menu changes but when my daughter asked her about salmon portions she just answered her in a very rude way. Before you had a choice to order half of portion of salmon or full. Understandably things change but there is no need to be rude. Then the family who came after us somehow got food before us, though some of our meals arrived cold and it took a good hour to get the food. On another note Alexandria served other tables water with lemon slices while we just got tap water which was barely refilled as she wasn't tending to our table. She also didn't care about taking our empty plates (every waiter we've had there has always picked our empty plates to clear the table). Atop that we asked her for some more biscuits but she brought them over ten minutes after we asked for them. When it was time for us to get our check, I asked her about it. She brought the bill and vanished, showed up after a while took my credit card and vanished again. I waited and waited. Spotted her placing order at her station and disappearing into the kitchen. May be they were short staffed, although there were not a lot of people dining at the time. Regardless, this is your job and you should have better customer service. Usually we see the restaurant manager before we leave and are always asked about our service, unfortunately no manager surfaced today. Whatever the reason is we all left with a nasty feeling. Service was bad. Food was yummy! snow crab was great! Brussels' sprouts, potatoes and mac n cheese were nothing special but still good. I'm not sure if the biscuits were any good because they never brought us any, even though we asked for them a couple times. I would also skip on the drinks, nothing special and was brought after our food came. Normally, I'd say all of thats fine and I get stuff happens especially during busy hours but I went during a slow weekday there was barely anyone else there eating. As weird as it may sound, part of my happiness level was that I met up with my EX-mother-in-law!! LOL!! She is one of my very best friends, and she has been for decades! Honestly, the service was BAD initially. We had to adjust and accept it once we realized that they were super short staffed, and our server was waiting too many tables and she was doing her best!! She was, I give her a lot of credit, super attentive to my teen. That made ME and him happy!! LOL!! It took longer than usual to get our order placed, but part of that was OUR fault because the menu is so HUGE now that it is hard to decide what to order!!! Our server tried a couple of times, but we asked for "a couple more minutes" and then she was too busy to get back to us for a length of time. The first one made by male bartender was good I just wanted a flavor change and sent it back, a different person (woman)made a strawberry one and I almost threw up it was so nasty, the worst I've ever had!! I normally give reviews with a little humor behind them, but I want to be straightforward this time. Red lobster has never been the cream of the crop, but it has always been decent. Not this time. If I could give zero stars I would. It took an hour for us to get our food and the place was far from full. I believe there were 7 tables with people at them including us. All of our food came cold and my steak (which was supposed to be medium) was super well done. It was so done that it was hard to cut. My daughter's fries were hard as a rock and the bacon on my other daughter's Mac and cheese was like rubber. The only bright spot was that the server was good. I still tipped well because it wasn't her fault but I definitely thought about leaving without a tip. I'm not gonna tell people to go or not to go to this place. I just want to share my experience. I will say that we will never go back there. I would like to thank Angelleca (from Red Lobster) for reaching out and trying to make things better, but I have to decline. I paid $230 for 4 people, and the food wasn't edible. Even the first basket of biscuits were bad. We had to ask for a new one. To their credit, they did bring out a fresh basket.
