Started with the Leche de Tigre which was super fresh, flavorful, and spiced perfectly. Might be the best of the last 5 years. GET IT! Saltado was well prepared, packed with flavor, and well seasoned. Was not oversalted like some other places. Very well done! Traditional Chicha Morada is made in house, no powder. It is has a complex spice blend where you will pick up different flavors with each sip. Nice, fruity, and not oversweetened. As if that wasn't enough . . . finished with flan & alfajores. Service was top shelf. Way more like family than a customer - even though this was my first time. Spectacular!

I've been here a handful of times now, and the experience is consistently great. The owner is incredibly kind and somehow remembers me every visit, which says a lot. The service is excellent, the restaurant and restrooms are always clean, and the food is outstanding. The Pollo Saltado is a must--especially paired with their spicy green salsa. The complimentary corn seeds they bring out are so tasty I could snack on them all day. If you're not familiar with Peruvian food, don't worry the owner takes the time to explain the menu and is even happy to let you sample the house made drinks. It's welcoming, delicious, and absolutely worth the stop.

For those complaining about the price, what do you expect?!?! Go to Filiberto's and be a negative Nancy if you want "cheap" food with no love, no intention, and no happiness. The fish tacos are TRUE CALI fish tacos. Fresh fish, FRIED PERFECTLY. The sneaky menu item is the wings. Fried perfectly and huge. Perfect for football season. Do not doubt this place, do not question whether or not you should come here. Quite literally everything is good, and the menu has such a variety that you'll find something that works for you, and yes it will be good. And I'm completely serious when I say this - if someone complains about the food they're wack.

The spice, toppings -- the surprisingly tender fish in the middle of the desert. But then, salt. I squeezed lime. I drizzled on salsa. Hmm. Just couldn't get back there. I saw a documentary on crack addiction. A body hits that level of euphoria ... then keeps going back to hit again but it's just not there. Yes, I'm being dramatic, but I'm serious about my tacos. I will try again, junkie that I am. BTW, I also ordered tacos for my husband. He is salt averse yet unbothered so maybe only my tacos got hit with an errant extra shake of salt. I left to make an appointment at the nearby nail salon and came back and they were still back there frying my fish - which, as mentioned, was chef's kiss otherwise. I loved my blue pineapple/coconut milk drink. This place is known for its beverages. Can't complain.

This is one of the best or the best Mexican seafood meals I have ever had. As a spicy lover I was over the moon with the ceviche, torre, and tacos durados. Two wimps in our group were not into seafood or not into spicy so they had quesadilla with fries or chicken tenders with fries. If this is you, just order a kids meal like a boss! One person had the soup and loved that as well. Maybe ask for your fries unseasoned if you don't want too much flavor. Can't wait to come back soon with friends because of the fun atmosphere and inventive salsas. A mariachi band might even make the rounds so bring your appetite, dancing shoes and a little cash.

The restaurant was half full (5 tables) 3 servers mostly inside of the kitchen area the whole time. Our drinks came after the food order was taken which took a while for how simple their menu is. The food took about 30 minutes to come out and was delivered by another server. Our server (blonde hair) never returned, no refills, and our dirty dishes were not picked up. Basically she came by when we were done eating. All servers seemed extra attentive to the tables with only men. A lot of socializing going on in the back. The food: -The aguachile tostada was the best dish. -The shrimp crunchy taco was okay, the sauce on top seemed more fitting for a sushi plate than a shrimp taco. Something about the flavor didn't make a lot of sense. -the breaded fish and shrimp tacos okay, they're doing way too much with the seasonings in the breading. -out of oysters at 1 pm on a Friday. Overall not too authentic compared to other seafood restaurants. Trying too hard with the flavors. Uninviting experience. If service had pep in their step I would give more grace.
