So, one of the kids picked Red Lobster, and its been YEARS since we have even thought about going back,, literally over 10 years.. I'm originally form New England / Boston and love me some Lohbstah n clams, etc.. Well on to our experience. Ordering and Kids and Wife all wanted to switch up some of the traditional sides,, and seriously add broccoli is a 1.65 add on ? come on.. Well, Fried Shrimps , coconut Shrimp and a fish plate along with my Maine Lobster.. Did take a lil while to come out.. this place is almost an eye sore inside, seemed dark, dirty n depressing.. Lobster came out, and was cooked correctly, and the only issue was a little thimble of luke warm butter.. sorry, not use to such a tiny thimble of butter thats not even close to WARM.. Coconut Shrimp was probably the ONLY dish with 0 complaints.. Least they still do that right.. The Lobster stuffed mushrooms, were litterally all over the place with pretty small mushrooms,, Back in the day, u could easily cut them in half and enjoy,, times must be rough. Pleasantly surprised! We've had a gift card for a couple years, but don't live near a Red Lobster. Since we're visiting Flagstaff for the week, we decided to use the card for lunch. Now, I'll admit, I haven't been inside Red Lobster in years. My previous experiences weren't great. To my surprise, not only were my shrimp tacos tasty, they were also an amazing deal. Only $7.99!!! Also, since I'm on vacation, and they offer Happy Hour all day until 6:00--I think--I opted for a glass of wine. Only $4.00. Very nice. I only have one complaint... You might have to experience it to understand. It might sound petty, but believe me...I've never mentioned this in a review. The waiter (Brad F.) was friendly enough, but he doesn't have an "inside voice." He literally screamed everything. My hubby literally jumped out of his seat when he walked up behind us and asked a question. If we'd been there for a dinner out, I would have probably asked to move tables--or more than likely, just left. He was that loud. All in all, the gift card did it's job, as I'll probably consider coming back next time we're driving through Flagstaff. read more

I order takeout from this red lobster location every so often and it never disappoints. I'm always attended rather quickly, which I appreciate being that I'm on lunch break and in a hurry every time. I always get asked if I need utensils as well as a drink. Everything I've ordered off of the lunch menu is delicious and the portions are more than enough. read more

I haven't been to a Red Lobster in more than 2 decades. I also didn't pay the bill back then either. I was expecting a little lower-end seafood. In my minds-eye I have always thought of this place of the Walmart of seafood restaurants. The cheddar bay biscuits are awesome. They were perfect on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. The shrimp trio I ordered was meh... The fried shrimp and garlic scampi was pretty basic. The bay shrimp pasta was pretty plain as well. Nothing to write home about. Pretty disappointed in the mashed sweet potato side (which costs extra). I was expecting more. The chicken tacos that we ordered for the kids were decent... But my kids could not eat them. Way too spicy!!! Service wasn't so great either. Apparently my kids are expected to use their hands, as they were not given utensils. Trying to flag down a waitress took a while. The chicken sandwich was like a rubber... And was poorly presented and tasteless. The New England clam chowder was very under seasoned... And tasted like heavy cream. I ate the tilapia fish tacos... The tortilla shell was a dry and tasteless. The seasoning was overbearing... They put so much salt and seasoning on it to cover the poor quality tilapia because it was very fishy The rice was also under seasoned and tasteless. We came here on February 15th and were a party of seven. Our server did amazing! I believe his name was Devon. He was extremely patient with our group because we had a hard time figuring out what we wanted even though he was a little busy with other tables and was super kind. Ordering on their website is not complicated at all and pick up time was pretty fast. I ordered Lobsterfest Surf & Turf (12 oz steak). We came to this Red Lobster eager to buy multiple food items and lots of drinks, and they were completely dead. I did not see a single table that had people at it. A friend was planning on meeting us there and we let them know that we would need a table for 4 for whenever they show up. They said they would ask the manager, because they aren't allowed to seat incomplete groups. The manager declined and said once our entire group is, they would seat us. I had a pleasure to have Alexandra H. as my server/bartender. Even though I did a take out order she helped me with my questions on the menu. Gave me the time to decide what I wanted to do. My trip was an unexpected with having the I17 closed due to another brush fire. Red Lobster was one of the closet restaurants to my hotel. While waiting for my order I had a drink while waiting. She was very personable with me. (Hard to find these days) got to know a little of her history. I actually stayed for another drink. I use to work in the food industry and it was nice to still see bartenders/server with a caring personality at such a young age with it being at the end of the night. Our children really wanted to visit a Red Lobster having seen them advertise on TV. There are none in our home town so this stop in Flagstaff provided the opportunity. Reflecting on our experience, it later occurred to me that really good restaurants actually should not need to advertise. If they're any good, word of mouth and repeat custom should be enough, especially given the cost of TV slots. Red Lobster, on the other hand, clearly does need to advertise. Just don't. No matter how hungry you are or how much you miss the coast. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in 25 years and it will be at least that long (if ever) before I go again. Service was very, very nice. We were greeted upon entry and my kids were showed a live lobster. Our waitress was sweet as pie. That's where my nice experience ends. The food quality is beyond poor. It is nearly inedible: Salad - wilty, brown, even black and weirdly, I bit into two small pieces of ice. I had to "sift" through my salad to find good pieces to eat. And too salty. Cheese biscuits - the only good thing I had to eat at this dinner. They were tender and buttery. But too salty. Shrimp dinner - I ordered a combo with crab and seafood stuffed shrimp and the new potato-crusted shrimp, as well as a baked potato. These shrimp were well, shrimpy. And hard as rocks. And small! I think the popcorn shrimp accidentally showed up at roll-call. The potato-crusted shrimp was very, very salty (see a recurring theme?) and not crunchy at all. They tasted overly seasoned. The crab and seafood stuffed shrimp was the worst. It had a strange flavor reminiscent of bitter cilantro+rubber+vinegar+mayonnaise. Yup, rubber. All the shrimp was overly chewy and swimming in oil. And again, too salty. Red Lobster needs a major menu overhaul and better quality checks at their chains. Now I have a stomach-ache and a wallet minus $25. read more

My wife ordered shrimp scampi, and they looked so small and skinny.. They looked as if they suffered from malnutrition. The scallops they served me were small and rubbery. I really don't know why I keep eating here. Maybe it's because I really like crab and lobster, but I've got a college kid's budget. Also, I don't live near the ocean at all so "fresh" seafood can be hard to come by. Red Lobster is really not that fresh, or at least it doesn't taste like it. Maybe I just keep ordering the wrong things, but I can't imagine that it's too hard to mess up steamed crab legs. I mean really. Half the time when I receive my plate, some of my dish is cold. Lame lame lame!!! I ate there last night for a friend's dinner party. There were about 12 of us at a table, but it took them well over an hour to get all of our food out to us. I know we were a big party, but still, it shouldn't take that long to steam some food, throw some fries in the fryer and be done with it. (Side note, my fries weren't even cooked right, they were soggy.
