We sat down quickly and ordered waters... the water took over 5 minutes to come. Server actually went to go check on it because she noticed how long it was taking. We ordered our food... 3 kids menu items and 3 adult menu items. 2 of the kids menu items came out after about 10 minutes (again, server went to go check on the food). 2 of the adult food orders had a starter... they came out about 30 seconds before our main course. We got soup... shouldn't be too difficult. The 2 kids menu items that came out.. those two finished their food before anything else came out. That is NOT proper food service timing. The whole table should be served their food at the same time. That is proper food service 101. The exception would be if you intentionally ordered kids food first... which was not our case. The strangest thing was that 2 of the 3 kids orders came out together... so lets say those come out first... where was the third?! After the kids were done with thei menu, another 5 minutes passed and our soup came out. Still no 3rd kid menu item. So after speaking to the manager, somehow one of the kids items was taken off.. and somehow our order was put in separately. Im still not sure how that justifies a 15 min lag between food deliveries... but ok... The manager did take care of it, gave us a discount and gave our kids dessert. Because they did try to make it right, I moved the stars from a 1 to a 3. My steak was not medium... it was more medium well, almost well done. The chicken tortilla soup had so much salt, I couldn't eat it. My husband's burger was also not medium. His was well done. (See pic... no pink) This location apparently has a lot to work through to get back up to par. Based on the reviews from the last month, there are definitely issues that need to be ironed out.. But, our server, Chrissy, was very sweet, she bounced back after the errors, and tried to make things right. The manager, Marvin, also tried to make things right and was extremely attentive once we mentioned the issues we had. He makes a great manager and I hope gets the accolades he deserves. read more

I was in town late, decided to go here. The gentleman at the bar was very polite. I made my order to go, went with the surf and turf ribeye and their peanut butter pie thing. I requested medium. I wasn't expecting it to be cooked medium, never is what I request at a chilis. I received it well done. The broccoli was all dried out, the mashed potatoes were ok. The peanut butter desert was terrible. Tasted raw and barely had any peanut butter taste in it. I didn't have high hopes coming here. It was exactly as I expected it. read more

I never would come to yelp over things that happen by mistake. This experience at Chili's started great my sister and I were laughing having fun since she lives in the valley and I don't get to see her much. We a full order of Texas cheese fries which were good along with the triple dipper with honey chipotle chicken crispers and couple mozz sticks. All was good until I picked up a crisper and my sister pointed out a piece of metal that was inside of it. I showed our server who was very kind and understanding. The manager on duty then came around and was holding and twisting the metal into her hand. She was saying nothing in the kitchen would look like this, and be this frail. I was a little taken aback and tried to be friendly about the situation. I am 19 and my sister is younger than me. The tone of the manager was passive aggressive and accusatory and made it seem like she believed we planted the piece of metal in the chicken crispers. This to me felt like ageism which I hate to say since Flagstaff is a college town and Chili's is very close restaurant to NAU. I then went to pay the bill and had a bill that had food taken off. As I paid it the bill disappeared and a new bill came up on the kiosk with all the food included. I asked my server who again understanding and went to get manager. She came back and told me food is not comped because we got a replacement. I again was taken aback by this since the metal that I found is a huge safety and health code violation. She then came to a "compromise" by taking $8 off. I paid and left with my sister because I was over the situation and wanted to leave. I have been to this Chilis many times with friends and visiting familyand have never had any issues besides tonight. I don't know if manger thought I was trying to skip a bill which I wasn't, and still tipped the sweet waiter 20%. I came to this Chili's for dinner with my daughter while we were visiting the Flagstaff area. We were pretty hungry after arriving into the area, just driving here from California, and we were ready for an enjoyable meal. My daughter likes Chili's, so this is where we decided to come. The outside landscaping at this Chili's was clean and well maintained, and the exterior lighting made for an inviting entrance. We were greeted immediately after entering, and the hostess showed us to a table near the front of the restaurant. I would have preferred to have a booth near the back of the restaurant, but other seating options were not offered to us. The restaurant was fairly busy, but not completely packed. Shortly after being seated, we were greeted by our waiter and a waitress. Apparently, our waiter was a new employee, and he appeared to be in the training process, with guidance provided by the more experienced waitress. Both were professional and friendly, and both were attentive to our dining needs throughout our meal. I ended up ordering the "Smokehouse Combo" (one of my favorites), with honey-Chipotle chicken crispers, jalapeño-cheddar smoked sausage, and a half order of ribs. These three items in my Smokehouse Combo also came with roasted street corn, French fries, and garlic toast. My daughter ordered the "Chipotle Fresh Mex Bowl," as well as their "Loaded Baked Potato Soup." Both of our meals were made perfectly, and both were delicious. For drinks, I ordered a Dr. Pepper, and my daughter ordered their strawberry lemonade. We had an enjoyable experience while we were here. Our meals were excellent, and the service was great as well. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends if they were visiting the area. read more

The food came out one ordered was OK the second was completely wrong and when it was taken back thecooks just put some cheese wedges on the plane and sent to out. I have found all of my dining experience top notch. Food is always really good and service is super friendly and fast.

Two in my party seated at the bar. Female bartender looked at me 3 times but did not greet/ask/say anything. I had to ask her for the menus. Male bartender "Waldo" took our order (2 med rare steak w/ shrimp plates) which came about 35 mins later. During wait, Waldo came to us 1x and bar only half full. At one point there was no one in the bar because they were "busy" talking with a friend who came in. Had to ask myself, "Where's Waldo?" Less than average service. My steak came out overdone (half was well done) but didn't want to wait another 30+ mins for another one. Mgr gave a 25% discount on my plate. We had a miserable experience at another restaurant the night before so we were anticipating that Flagstaff is not a good place to go out to eat. Tonight was a totally different experience. It was very crowded so when we checked in, they said 30 minute wait but could be less. Ten minutes later we were seated! We had an awesome experience with our waitress, Sophie, who was friendly and attentive but not hovering. Our food came out fast and it was hot and delicious. We were looking for a place with a happy hour where we could watch the football game and relax for a bit. We got seated in the bar area, with several tv's nearby, playing different games and shows. We were a bit disappointed in their happy hour menu-- a few drinks and beers, but only wings for food. We went ahead and got the Triple Dipper from the main menu. Mozzarella block was a rectangle of deliciousness, just such a different shape than we usually get. The southwest egg rolls weren't the best, kind of flavorless. The chicken crispers were ok. Our server was friendly and checked on us several times. I think they should look into adding more things to their happy hour to make it more appealing, although the restaurant was fairly busy anyway. read more

Well... where to start?!?! I've been to soooo many different chili's across the country and a standard is expected, this location in particular is subpar! The host, As she is seating me, I suggest the bar, she suggested main dining room. I try to order happy hour drinks, surprise** only offered in the bar area... uhm okay.... thank you Jeremy, he truly was trying! Multiple dirty wine glasses... multiple lip prints... didn't want to make it a big deal... so just requested extra glasses to pour into.. This grilled chicken sandwich I ordered, instead of fried on the chicky chicky bleu... the chicken was lukewarm at best... there were no grill marks, not even the fake ones... the lettuce was wilted... browning... the bun was cold too... aren't they usually warmed?! My wife even said well hello and nothing. The Hostess returns in a timely manner but then asks how many? 3 I say. Her response is "would you mind sitting in the bar?" We said no that's fine. She grabs 3 menus and hands them directly to me while standing in the foyer and said "here sit wherever you want." This Chili's food eats every time. I love it. Great portions and great food as a chilis should be. I love everything on the menu. However at this specific location I've had nothing but odd experiences. They recently changed the way the free chips and salsa reward worked and didn't tell me it didn't go with the 3 for me and basically scammed me into paying for the thing I had a reward for. And then gaslighted me into thinking it had always been that way. Ok fine whatever. Then they switched up me and someone else I was dining with's check. And instead of fixing it they wanted us to just give each other money and fix it ourselves. Weird and annoying. Overall I get really weird servers every time I dine here. They're not always BAD, but they always have a weird quirk to them. I've also heard awful things about the management from just existing in the town of Flagstaff. Dine at your own will. read more
