An overcooked biscuit delivered to my table.

    1. Please don't serve cold coffee 2. Please don't bring out burnt or overcooked food. 3. Please don't try and charge me for food I did not consume. This has been my absolute worst experience with a Cracker Barrel, which until now was one of my favorite places to eat.

Old Timer's Breakfast with over medium eggs, Impossible Sausage, Hashbrown Casserole, and Fried Cinnamon Apples

I try to make a visit to Cracker Barrel on every road trip [though I will never go back to the Salt Lake City location]. This restaurant chain has consistently excellent comfort food and typically an environment that exudes Southern hospitality. I knew I would find some good food, even though I must adhere to a mostly gluten-free diet and am pescatarian. Furthermore, the beer was at happy hour prices, so I had a Budweiser with my meal! I will say that it felt as if it took quite some time to receive a refill on my coffee and the food, but overall, this visit prompted me to find the closest one to me in California! Sacramento and Davis, here I come!

Cracker barrel is an old family favorite of mine. Can't travel somewhere with a Cracker barrel without having breakfast there. Food is consistent, I can count on a tasty and filling meal. This was no exception. As I've aged i no longer want the massive breakfast options. Give me some eggs, bacon, hashbrown casserole, and biscuits and gravy and I'm happy. Walk to the host podium and put your name in. This time I was seated immediately. My server came and took my order, returning quickly with my drink. The food followed a few minutes later. The usual kitchy decor of Cracker barrel restaurants, general store in the lobby, and rocking chairs out front. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

Ham with yucky griddle trash on it.

I can't believe they could destroy the Cracker Barrel brand this quickly. The menu is very limited now and no more hamburger steak available. Don't even ask for crisp potato casserole you are told it's already premade. This particular site served a terrible breakfast. The sausage looks and tastes like pure trash. All the food was obviously cooked on a filthy grill, as the burnt remnants were on everything and particularly gross on the French toast. The service was way below standards for many reasons. I used to love Cracker Barrel. This was my last visit. They changed too much and ruined the menu AND the game board. This particular store has issues of a dirty griddle and mediocre wait staff. So sad. Wish Yelp had a zero star option.

Came here since my colleague who lived in China for 10 years was craving and missing Cracker. I had not been to a cracker in years myself. Service was excellent. Down to earth service. Food was good and expansive selection. I had forgotten how good their fried okra was and deep fried cheese balls. All in all, our group had a fun time and we all love their shop. Good for souvenirs. Cheers!

In case you were wondering if Cracker Barrel in Arizona is the same as Cracker Barrel in North Carolina, I can tell you that it is just as charming, with the same comfort food, perfect for the chilly weather in Flagstaff right now. The food was hot and delicious, and it may have even been better than some of the Cracker Barrels I have been to in the South. Our waitress, Sofia, was super nice and loaded us up with all the goodies and a large cup of apple butter to boot. Cracker Barrel biscuits and apple butter is one of my favorite memories from when we first moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. Tonight, the girls, and I ordered: - HOMESTYLE GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD - Smoky Southern grilled chicken breast over fresh greens garnished with boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and Colby cheese. Served with crackers. Balsamic Herb Vinaigrette. - Breaded Fried Okra - Coleslaw - COUNTRY FRIED STEAK - A classic country fried steak, breaded and fried, topped with rich sawmill gravy Three Country Sides - Hash brown Casserole, Mac n' Cheese, Coleslaw - Early Dinner Deal CHICKEN n' DUMPLINS - Tender chicken n' dumplins, slow-simmered to perfection. One Country Side - Savory Loaded Sweet Potato (slight up charge for baked sweet potato side but worth it! Usually the loaded sweet potato comes with lots of sweet toppings, but I prefer a savory sweet potato and asked our waitress if she could do the savory version. She said no problem at all.) - HAND-ROLLED BUTTERMILK BISCUITS - came with our meals, brought out in a basket with salted butter. Remember to request apple butter to be brought to the table. They don't bring it unless you specifically ask for it. This is a dark apple butter spiced warmly. It tastes great on the biscuits) Tonight there was a large fire burning in the fireplace that faces the main dining area. It felt so nice on this cold night. The usual vintage country decor decorated all of the walls and country music played at a medium volume. The country store had all of the fun, old-fashioned candies, and all of the Christmas decorations out for the holidays. There are a few ASU items. I was looking forward to buying some NAU items since we were in Flagstaff, but they did not have any. I remember in North Carolina, they always had a large supply of NCState and UNC merchandise in their country stores at the entrance to the restaurant. There is a large clean men's and women's restroom available for customers. To pay your bill, you take it to the registers in the country store. As you exit the restaurant, you'll see a variety of wooden rocking chairs out front for guests to sit in and also for sale, just like the original Cracker Barrel's.

4 country sides were so good

We showed up about 15 minutes before closing time and the hostess was so nice to seat us even though we knew they were all ready to go home. They took our orders right away and the food was just like all other Cracker Barrel restaurants I've been to. If you've ever been to Cracker Barrel, you know they will give you biscuits or corn bread (or a mixture of both) and then you've got a selection of breakfast items, main courses and sides. The cuisine is as one would expect: it is Comfort Food. Yes, it's not the healthiest but it tastes great and when you're done, your belly will thank you. I ended up getting the 4 sides as a meal which is one of my favorites. The fried okra and the hashbrown casserole are so good, and you have to balance it out with some veggies too. Their fried chicken and waffles is excellent and so are all their big breakfast options. ----TL;DR---- PROS: they were so nice to seat us even though it was about 10-15 minutes before closing time. Service was super friendly as well and the food came out fairly quickly. They are generous with the biscuits and cornbread too. CONS: don't think you're going to be having a low calorie meal here, but it is comfort food so enjoy it and don't worry about the calories if you want some fried chicken or bacon with your breakfast. BOTTOM LINE: we were glad we came in and thankful that the servers were willing to seat us just before closing time (all with a smile on their faces). This is an "old faithful" restaurant (and i forgot to mention the shop in the front is also a lot of fun if you're waiting for a table). Get the 4 sides meal if you don't want to be too full (the cornbread and/or biscuits will probably put you over the top too).

My dad loves this place, it starts out as a souvenir shop filled with a ton of things. The restaurant is nice and quiet with friendly staff. Morgan was our server and she was very nice, even laughed at my dad's weird "Dad jokes" lol. The food is country style, with things like Chicken Fried steaks and stuff served in cast iron skillets. We both opted for the seasonal Campfire Beef meals that come served in a big foil cover. The beef was tender and juicy, the veggies and potato were just right, needs a touch more seasoning but it did the job. We also ordered some Onion Petals which came with two sauces, one was ranch and the other I can't tell, but it tasted amazing!! Overall great spot to take your parents honestly.

For me, my family's been coming to a Cracker Barrel since I was young. And in my older age now, I feel like Cracker Barrel is a coin flip. It's either good or bad or 50:50 service excellent / food bad or reverse Tonight's case : I feel like they had a new server on the floor and they slammed her. We got there about 7:45pm and it looked like two servers were off and then 2 servers closing including ours Jessica. She was very polite and kind but she was way behind. Because of either getting slammed or kitchen was behind. Also almost every table or at least the 3 I could hear apologies from, ordered something that she was told after the fact atleast from a customer stand point, I don't know if the manager let all the staff know what was 86'd or it was just dumb luck timing. If you are running low every server is using a tablet, I'm sure the tablet can be updated to cross out items that are out ahead of time so when the server goes to ring them in she can apologize instantly instead of 10 minutes after everyone's orders been placed. She did her best, but might need a follow or staff help. Food 5/5 catfish and grilled chicken can't go wrong Jessica to what I was watching did her best 3/5 Speed of service 1/5 Teamwork 0/5

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd return to.

The coffee itself was extremely strong, which is not a bad thing considering we were on our truck back home so it's a good thing to stay awake. The ceremonial Matcha was very light in the Americano. We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

But I went against my better judgement and ordered Jerry el Mujeriego (enchilada filled with pork green chile, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and topped with two over medium eggs. They're served with rice, beans, potatoes, and tortilla). My wife ordered Juevos Benedictos, eggs Benedict. When they brought our plates out, I couldn't believe how much food they gave us. The plates were full to the edges. Of course it came down to the flavors. My plate was just IOK. I was really expecting flavors that would pop, something that would stand out Mexican! Everything was kind of bland. I hate to say it, but it was as if they were catering to non Mexicans. I'm not Mexican, but I'm in a Mexican restaurant and I want bold Mexican flavors. Granted, they give you a lot of food. Maybe that's more important to some people. Now I wish I ordered their chilaquiles! My wife's Benedict was delicious however! The eggs were perfectly cooked and her dish was seasoned and had flavor. So our visit wasn't a total miss. I'm torn on how to rate them. A 3 or 4? I wish there were half ratings then I'd rate them a solid 3.5! I'll round it up!

The chicken and biscuits were exactly what I was hoping for: smothered in rich country gravy with a perfectly fried flattened chicken breast that was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Hubby and I each got a cup of fresh brewed coffee that did not disappoint! Not too weak, not too strong... brewed to perfection! My husband ordered the chicken and biscuit and I the chilaquiles Christmas style. Lord have mercy both of these dishes were the bomb! Not only plenty of food but super tasty - I had my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and they also came with about 1/2 a freshly sliced avocado. Nice, tangy flavor and sprinkled with just the right amount of cotija cheese! Shared with the table and still had leftovers (and I'm not mad about it). Husband's dish was perfection - the perfect biscuit combo - fluffy, chewy and crunchy in all the right places, and the gravy not overly seasoned or salty. Chicken was a breaded/fried (possibly baked) and cooked/seasoned just right. Inner meat was tender and moist and outside of course was crunchy - batter was well seasoned and breast didn't seem greasy at all. I worked in a mom-and-pop coffee shop decades ago - everything was homemade and fresh and the coffee 2 die 4. This establishment brought me back to those times in regard to coffee/food quality and hospitality! Will 100p be returning when next we're in town!

My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!
