I ordered from this location for the first time while passing through town. I ordered the steak medium rare, shrimp, and mashed potatoes. My food was cold, steak was over done, and there was a hair in the mashed potatoes. I spoke to the manager letting them know this experience and food quality was unacceptable. I was offered a $25 credit next time I dined here. Decided to use it and give them another shot. I placed my order, was told "15-20 mins", and once I called and let them know I was in the curbside pickup spot the woman I spoke to said they'd be right out and apply my credit. After waiting over an hour I called them to check the order status, and the lady became very rude I told her I'd like to cancel the order at this point and was immediately put on hold. After then sitting on hold for almost ten minutes I just left, this place is ridiculous. Terrible customer service and poor food quality. Not even sure if they'd pass a health inspection. read more

Atmosphere -- 5/5 Walked in around 8 PM on a cold Friday night. The restaurant was dim but warm, quiet, and welcoming -- the kind of lighting and tone that feels like a holiday evening without actually having decorations up. Clean, calm, and comfortable. The front staff greeted me with genuine warmth. The night supervisor was professional, attentive, and respectful as soon as I walked in. Service -- 5/5 (I'd give 6 if Yelp allowed it) Jasmine, the bartender who took care of me, was phenomenal from start to finish. Friendly without being fake. Professional without being stiff. Jasmine is a huge asset to this location. Food -- 4.7/5 Chili (cup): Came out fast and piping hot. Rich, hearty flavor with no beans -- easily one of the best cups of chili I've had anywhere. Perfect with their bread and my first amber ale. Steak (ribeye, ordered medium rare): The seasoning and char on the outside were excellent -- great flavor, great crust. The steak did come out more on the rare side once I got deeper into it, but the flavor was strong enough that I still enjoyed the entire thing without complaint. The loaded mashed potatoes were outstanding. Blooming onion petals (side): Crispy, seasoned well, and surprisingly addicting with the dipping sauce. Great flavor, though a full portion is a little heavy for one person -- definitely better as a shared side. Drinks -- 5/5 Tried: * the amber ale on tap * the Blooming Blonde ale with the steak The pairing suggestion was spot-on. Whoever designed that match between the steak and the blonde ale knew what they were doing. Price -- Fair for what I got My total was $91 with drinks, tax, and add-ons. Close to the freeway is nice. Not as fancy as most and a bit run down, but clean and friendly staff. Ordered a trio meal for just under $15. Came with soup, a hamburger, fries and a click of cheesecake with chocolate sauce. My hamburger was cooked as ordered, but it was falling apart making it difficult to eat. I've had nothing be great experiences at Outback so I was really looking forward to eating here tonight. BUT... my experience here in Flagstaff is short of the mark. The steak was over salted. The lobster was over cooked and even the dessert was over cooked! Come on! I will give them the benefit of the doubt and come back again and then revise my review. The service was amazing as usual. They obviously like working here and that is a testament to the management. The ambiance is sports bar and that's great for me. Lots of TVs in the bar area and just the way it should be. Food was great! My steak was cooked a nice medium and came out pretty fast after the appetizer. Got the chimichurri filet which I've had at another location- this one tasted much more vinegary. We stopped by for a quick meal after a day of visiting Walnut Canyon and were surprised Outback was relatively empty. This was good news for us because we received great service. I had the chicken on the Barbie and asparagus, both of which were fantastic. My mom had a ribeye and baked sweet potato. The ribeye wasn't cooked exactly as ordered, but she took it to go and can cook it a bit more for her next meal (it was 13 ounces!). We were a party of 10 I know it is a lot of people, But it doesn't help when you don't come by at all for a few minutes without taking our drinks or even a hi. Takes order of drinks and 25min pass by and come and say you're gonna be right with us and wait 15min more. Love outback but I don't think we will return. Ordered the porterhouse. It was thin! Thin!!! Overcooked. For almost 50 bucks. My sister and my steaks were the small Sirloins but were also really small. Our steaks were undercooked for the medium ordered and shoe leather on the porter. Nice enough staff. But Come on they can see the steak was wrong. Never checked on us. The bloom is half the size these days. Just won't be back-well over a hundred bucks and it wasn't worth half that. We ate at Outback tonight because it was late, it was close to the hotel and a Bloomin' Onion is always a great idea. It was clean, warm and welcoming like every Outback we've ever been to. It was a Friday night but there wasn't a wait and our order came quickly. The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were great... except those onions seem to keep getting smaller... Here for a weekday lunch with two kids. Very disappointing. Not busy but waited at the hostess stand. The server seemed rushed at all times. The kids ordered steaks medium and they were WELL DONE. (They even looked over cooked.) She put the food down and we never saw her again until the end. The kids were hungry and did not want to wait. My salmon was good, entree salad ok. I've eaten at outbacks before and the food is always good, but had to leave a review about what a great experience we had at this particular location. The difference for me from other dining experiences is always the "above and beyond" level of service, and definitely feel like we got that here. Hostess was accommodating (we asked to be seated at the bar) and our server was Jazmine, who was welcoming of our arrival. She was quick and efficient, all the while holding genuine conversation and gave us suggestions on things to do since we were staying in town. Stopped in here for a light meal before bedtime on our trip through Flagstaff. It is basically in the same parking lot as the hotel where we stayed (La Quinta). Shared a coconut shrimp app, and we each had a chopped pecan and bleu cheese salad. Hubby had a Glenlivet scotch and I had an old fashioned cocktail. $52 but everything was super delicious and our waiter Xavier was Top Notch! Well to begin my comments, the waiter was great, I don't know his name but he's been there for a while. My friend and I went in last thursday for lunch at 12:15PM. Not many folks at the establishment at this point. we ordered the spinach dip app, a beer and a cocktail. beer and cocktail came pretty quickly since the waiter was also the bartender. the app came pretty soon after. We ordered 2 of the lunch specials, 6 shrimp and a steak sandwich. We both ordered salad with the meal, the salad came out in 30 minutes and my salad was drenched. I sat it aside and did not want another as it was part of my meal. 1:20 we received our entrees, we immediately asked for boxes as we had a prior engagement. The server was so apologetic and said the manager saw everything. The manager even took a dirty plate from our table. I said to the waiter, i feel like we waited over an hour for our lunch and I want some kind of discount. He talked to the manager and he presented the bill with $8.00 off and 2 free blooming' onion coupons. At this point I'm a little frustrated and want to talk to the manager. Mr.Craig Ludwig came to our table, with his hands on his hips and said "is there a problem"? I proceeded to tell him that the $8.00 wasn't enough compensation and i really didn't feel like I needed to pay for the meals. I politely said you can have these meals, I will happily pay for the drinks. He scooped up the boxed meals and left. Came back with the bill for the 2 cocktails. No apology, nothing to keep me and my friend coming back to our local Outback. I paid, and as I was leaving he said "thanks for coming in!" I have been in this industry most of my adult life and would NEVER treat a guest this way. I would've gone above and beyond to keep the business of my local people. This behavior is unacceptable and I will not return as long as Mr. Lugwig's name is on the building. read more

Food was good, baked potato was quite salty. The bad part of our family lunch experience was our waitress serving our table. No drink refills even upon request. We had to stop eating because we had nothing to drink. I had to wander around and get my own to-go boxes. She left the bill without saying anything. The chili and onion soup were both good and we would recommend. The only complaint we had was the serving size. The prime rib sandwich seemed small...about half a sandwich. Prime rib was flavorful and cooked to the temp I ordered. I really like their house ranch dressing and the baked potato was soft and fluffy inside.
