Coconut shrimp
Natalie L.

We met for lunch as it's lobster special. Who can afford $50 lobster these days. I settled for coconut shrimp. It came with Pina colada dip. No thanks. I switched for the original cocktail sauce. I had coleslaw as good as my mom's. Server was funny and attentive. Way too pricy for my budget. The mimosa drink was refreshing.

My friend was in town and has never been to Red Lobster. She was so excited to go. Our server was Jun he was amazing, funny and attentive. There was a huge line up when we arrived at 5pm. Wait time was 20 minutes. We were seated in about 15 minutes. Immediately asked what we wanted for drinks and they arrived quickly. We were a party of 4 (3 adults one child 7 years old). We ordered 2 ultimate feasts, shrimp and rock lobster and from the kids menu grilled shrimp and a lobster tail, and a bottle of red wine. Every single one of us enjoyed our meals. It was hot and served in a timely manner. The whole experience was fantastic. We had amazing service and food.

Celebrating Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary

We wanted to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary, and they really enjoy red lobster so we decided to throw a dinner party at the Westend location. I used to bartend at this location back in the day, but haven't been back since I left until this last weekend. Walking in, I felt that the inside seemed very dated. Didn't seem to look that bad when I used to work there. Definitly could use a interior makeover. They have upgraded the exterior since my departure. Our waiter was pretty good and friendly. A few things that downgraded their rating was one of the entrees was missed so my cousin had to sit and watch everyone digging into their food while she ate cheese biscuits. Also, a different waiter was walking by with glasses on his tray and it got caught on one of our balloons, and took a tumble. Glass and leftover drink EVERYWHERE! The wife was pretty upset because her authentic LV purse is sticky and needs to be cleaned. Some glass got into the purse also so it was quite the accident. They did not offer us any compensation or discount for the accident, but apologized profusely. As for the food, I got the lobster and shrimp tacos from the feature menu. I must say it was pretty tasty! I really enjoy Pico so I was in heaven. The cheese biscuits weren't as flavourful as I remember them and my Caesar drink was not as tasty as I used to make (but I'm also pretty amazing so can't fault them for trying their best). Haha... they did allow us to bring our own cake so that was much appreciated.

Easy to find via Google maps. Surprisingly busy 6pm on a Tuesday. Heard Happy Birthday being sung 4 times while we had dinner. Staff was super friendly and good at keeping our waters full. Buiscuts were perfect - warm, salty, delicious. Kung Pao noodles were disappointing. Fried shrimp were well cooked but tasteless. No seasoning and no sauce. A Ton of noodles which had a nice kick of spice but very little edamame beans, cashews. Coconut shrimp is my Favorite and has been my favorite fried shrimp in Edmonton. The Pina colada sauce is drinkable all on its own! Make sure you ask for extra! Overall one dish Excellent one not worth reordering and who doesn't love free busicuts!

The only reason we dined here is because my Mom was given a gift card for her birthday. Otherwise my parents usually like to cook their own seafood at home. I must add that once you've eaten fresh seafood (in particular shellfish) in the Maritimes or any coastal location, you'll find it very hard to appreciate the seafood in landlocked Alberta. Even when it's cooked well it isn't the same. The bar gets set pretty high. The Ultimate Feast Platter was promising. There was a decent amount of seafood. Tender Maritime lobster tail, snow crab legs, signature garlic shrimp and Walt's Favourite Shrimp. Served with melted butter, lemon, cocktail sauce and your choice of side. Two people can easily share. The presentation on the plate was appetizing. My major complaint is that I found the all the seafood really salty! I found myself eating a lot of fries (which were less salty in comparison) and drinking lots to neutralize the saltiness. We came around lunch on a cold winter Sunday. It was quiet which worked out for us because we have a rambunctious toddler. Our family was tucked away in a corner. I'd say the ambiance was pretty relaxed when we dined here. Our server was also attentive and friendly. I don't think I'll be back here any time soon. The seafood is just not my favourite here. Funny thing is that my Dad ordered a burger for his meal. I wondered why he ordered a burger in a seafood restaurant? I think he enjoyed his meal! After all beef is what Alberta is known for!

The quality food was yummy and great quantity. Dawnette was an amazing server, what a beautiful positive light who made our experience spectacular. Please ask for her to be your server, you won't regret it! The turnover of customers is amazing - happy smiley satisfied customers. Highly recommend!!!

I am not the biggest fan of Red Lobster but my in-laws love it. I am not one who enjoys the insects of the sea, so I always struggle to find something on the menu. We went there to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I ordered the sesame soy salmon bowl. I was pleasantly surprised- it had a lot of good texture to it, especially the crispy Brussels sprouts. Service was friendly, but one of the meals at our tables was forgotten, and a sticky beverage was spilled on my handbag. Fortunately, I was able to get it cleaned up at home. When we go back, since it's a family favourite, I will likely order the same dish.

Food is decent. Lobster, shrimp and crab. Long wait to be seated. Hostess staff are super inexperienced and have poor training. Service is hit or miss. But my last visit was exceptional. The hostess staff here are probably the worst in the city. We waited over 45 minutes on our last visit with a reservation. It seemed like priority was given to smaller groups of 5 or 6 people bc they only waited less than 5 minutes without a reservation. Supposedly they check you in and assign you a table. If the table they assign you is occupied. You're basically screwed until they leave. The list doesnt have any order. And it's basically decided on your wait depending on your luck. Well we shit were out of luck, and I got so angry I spoke to the manager after 50min. I spoke to a few of my instagram friends about it too and this is supposedly a regular occurence. One of my friends waited 1.5 hours for a table while everyone else was seated in less than 15 min. Obviously the system doesnt work. When we finally sat down. Our server redeemed herself with fresh bisquits. We had 3 baskets for the 7 of us. And they were gone quick bc of the long wait. Food was decent. Nothing spectacular. But the food was hot. My brother was sick and he only ordered a clam chowder. And he ended up getting his meal dead last after everyone had their meals for 5 minutes. Weird bc it's just a bowl of soup which gets plated then served. Management was good and dealt with the issues so we left happy. But it still happened...and it's happened before too. It's kind if the reason why I dont frequent the place as often as we would like. Its consistently crappy hostessing. We spent over $240 for all of us, and you think they would want groups to come back. Unfortunately every time we come here, we boycott it for months until we forget about the terrible experience yet to be reminded of it upon our next visit. The food is typical red lobster fare. I prefer the lobster tails. I was pleasantly surprised by the scallops made perfectly...which is easy to screw up. I loved the lobster ceaser which is the perfect drink with seafood. Overall, I would spend my money elsewhere.

CRISPY GREEN BEANS there was meat mushrooms and carrots..
Cheese P.

CRISPY GREEN BEANS was on the plate tonight !!! Got to say this might've been the most delicious but oddest meals I have had in a long time!!!!!! I'll start with the oddball here first!? The chunks of meat mix with the crunchiness of the tomato-based sauce¿ was a little bit weird but the taste was a is exquisite!!¡¡ But now there's one more thing !! Didn't expect there to be big chunks of meat in the CRISPY GREEN BEANS..!! And I didn't really taste any peas.. This plate the CRISPY GREEN BEANS I will give a 4 out of 5 star!!!

Boiled/steamed frozen seafood that's smothered in salty butter, what more can you ask for? We tried their new menu item called the Ultimate Feasts which came to $51. It includes 2 premium items and 2 classic items and one side. We went with the lobster tail, snow crab legs, shrimp in herb butter, butterflied deep fried shrimp, and fries. It came with sides of ketchup, cocktail sauce, and butter. Everything was over salted by 30-50% but this is a common technique in restaurants. The biscuits were salty, the clarifies butter was salty, and the butter that the shrimp were sautéed in was the saltiest of all! Snow crab is the step child of Alaskan King Crab and the amount of meat is minimal. And it's still a lot of work to get the meat out of the hard shells. All of the seafood was over cooked which is common because restaurants don't want the liability of serving undercooked seafood that could get people sick. If I cooked these items at home it would get probably half the boiling time and would be much softer and tasty. Service was good, bathrooms were clean, parking was free. They use these weird POS machines for payment that doesn't have the tap feature. It's a digital device with a screen and menu that has paid games for kids and ads.

Nafisa was a great server, very friendly and made a good suggestion to get the muscles as an appetizer. My boyfriend and I shared the date night meal and it had steak, shrimp, and lobster tail, and Mac and cheese with bacon. It was excellent as well, the steak especially. My brother works as a cook here so we got a discount, but it was reasonable prices as is. I'll be coming back for sure.

Compared to what I remembered about the other location this salad bar seemed to be much more of a disappointing experience. There's no debating that and the grilled pineapple is to die for, same with the cheese buns. But overall it just seems to be very expensive for what you do get. It's definitely not my top tier restaurant choice and I might not return to this particular location.

But another staff person added a chair to make it more comfortable. The buffet is set up past the lobby of the hotel. The first table has the plates, yogurts, and small boxes of cereals to choose from. To the left is the breakfast area with pancakes, waffles, French toast, and the long line for made to order omelettes. There was a carving station for ham too. There was the syrup, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and whipped cream too. Past the omelette station was a vegetable tray, cheese tray, and a few salads, seafood, and sushi area. Breakfast items were sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, chunky potatoes, and eggs benedict. The dessert section had fruit and chocolate fountain, variety of squares, and pudding and jello cups. My first plate I had a sausage, waffle, eggs, and potatoes. I didn't overload so I also tried a cabbage roll. I really liked the cabbage roll with the mixture of meat and rice. The waffle still had some crispiness and not soggy like it can be in buffets. I went back to try some lunch items. Had a few pieces of sushi, shrimp, pasta, and pork chop. The food was alright and nothing really stood out as delicious. It was a typical buffet with lots of variety but the freshness and quality not quite there as when you go to a restaurant and have it made to order. It could be enjoyed if you are looking for a brunch to accommodate lots of people as long as they don't mess up your reservation!

My ultimate meal preference at the Keg starts with a delicious Caesar salad and the baseball top sirloin cut, with sides of steak fries and vegetables. This is one of many beef cuts at the restaurant, but you can also find a wide diversity of appetizers, steak cuts, chicken, fish and seafood and sides. Spending many nights in hotels we try to get the breakfast included as it saves time and puts food in the belly to start the day. I was pleased to see that it wasn't buffet (trough food in my mind) and actually ordered food off the menu. Bacon and eggs is difficult to mess up, and they did a fair job of it, although the potatoes were almost empty inside having been deep fried (?) maybe a bit too long. Toast arrived unbuttered and not hot, so the butter packets supplied, although not ice cold, like so many, had to be spread. Those mere minutes cool your breakfast. Also the little plate of additions had plenty of butter, two Jif peanut butter packets and one raspberry jam. They're not expensive, so provide a decent cross section, or nothing at all. One huge pet peeve (and a big part of the 3 star rating) was the fact that my English Breakfast tea ordered showed up as a cup with a tea bag in it, and three quarters full of hot water. What, no teapots? How is that possible? Also had to ask for a spoon, sugar and milk. Not a huge capital expense to buy the crap metal tea pots, or even the better ones. The ambiance is typical Courtyard Marriott, cookie cutter as all get. The breakfast I commend them with and it's not the typical buffet breakfast included, which I dislike. Sadly the order yourself, wasn't much better than that. Could have been a standout from so many, but it fell short. Giving it another try tomorrow as we are here for two more nights.
