I'm a lobster lover. Have seen commercials for Lobsterfest. Craved but haven't participated until now. Was shopping at Brea Mall when I spotted this Red Lobster. Not disappointed. Great food and service. Thank you Katie for being our server. You made the experience amazing. read more

Really great service here, all were so attentive and quick bringing us our endless SHRIMP!! Really good

The service was great. Our server checked on us often. However, the prices are way too high and selection of plain "grilled" fish options are disappointing. I know all restaurants have raised prices because of covid, but most people can't afford to eat here. I won't be back! read more

We walked in and no one helped us for about 15 mins then someone finally came but told us to wait, then we weren't seated and turned away because they were at capacity after here was a large party of 12+ people seated even though they weren't all there at first. Isn't it against cdc guidelines to seat that many people together? Anyways we waited 30 mins for nothing, bad service. Horrible place. No social distance in lobby. read more

I ordered on line and did curb pick-up. The food was delivered promptly to my car. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the steak rare because I was going to reheat it. I received it medium well. The baked potato wasn't done and I had to finish cooking it. The brussel sprouts looked great but were terrible. The lobster was tasteless. $50 for a meal I really didn't like. read more

We had an amazing time! Nolan was a great waiter, attending to our needs. He made sure we were well taken care of. Kevin, as well, is not just an awesome waiter, but a great person. He was complimenting my family and I. Great service! We'll definitely be coming back. read more

Brought my sisters here to celebrate a birthdate. None of us had been here before and it was less than: the food was okay depending what you ordered. Coconut shrimp, which they said was popular didn't appeal to us, the shrimp is completely drowned in coconut flavor, however the other shrimp was tasty. Service was good and bad: our service provided the check in the beginning of our meal: we ordered appetizers, main courses and desert. She was kind but would disappear for long periods. We were left with waited on refills and there wasn't that many people there. Lobster was over salted and tasteless. Overall we will probably not return here however we do enjoy their sister restaurant Olive Garden. read more

The staff at this location was very friendly . I ordered fish tacos and thought I was getting cod or haddock fish but instead if was tilapia .. I'm not a fan of tilapia fish (. I can only be so understanding. Sign outside says call to pickup. Called a few times, no one picked up. So I walk in and there isn't anyone there. 5 min later a blonde girl comes out to rudely tell me I was supposed to wait in my car. I told her I called and she said she was busy, but there wasn't a single person there or in the parking lot. Even if you were busy, I was treated like I was bugging her. I ended up waiting another 15 min in my car for my one meal to be brought out which I had called ahead. This was just a case of the employee not wanting to be there and it showed. read more

Host kindly greeted and seated us right away for lunch. Our server was bad. Not attentive. Food was hit and miss.

delicious! i came an hour before closing on endless shrimp mondays and omg they were so good. the coconut shrimp is my favorite. the grilled shrimp could be a little more grilled and the walts shrimp was a little too greasy for me but little wait time, clean restaurant, fast service, friendly staff, so i think i would say that i had a good experience overall. lastly, the bread per usual is absolutely delicious, and the brussel sprouts were probably the best ive ever had. just turn up the lights inside a little, its so dark i could barely see the menu. i might make red lobster my place every monday read more

We are very loyal customers and have been ordering takeout from Red Lobster nearly everyday for two weeks as can be proven from the 7 rewards coupon we've accumulated. We ordered the White Wine & Garlic Mussels using one of these rewards only to find out when we got home that the mussels were missing and we only received the bread. We called Brea Red Lobster and spoke to an employee named John who simply apologized and did not offer any compensation, let alone offering to give us our order. When asked to speak to the manager, Constance, we were told she is "unavailable" when we could clearly hear her voice responding to the employee's questions. John just said, "We'll compensate you" without any explanation as to how. Since John seemed absolutely clueless on how to deal the situation, we asked when Constance will be available and requested a return call to compensate for their mistake and the John responded by saying that we need to call later and see if they're less busy then (absolutely ridiculous). We have not been treated so rudely and unjustly by a restaurant for a mistake that the restaurant made. This manager, Constance is certainly not qualified for this position and the employees look like they need much more training on how to deal with customers. read more

My favorite food is seafood, and my favorite seafood restaurant is Red Lobster. There are a lot of restaurants that serve seafood, but none that is as consistent in comparison to my experience at the Red Lobster. Usually, I mention the wait staff last, but in this instance, I have to mention them first in that our waiter was perfection. Usually millennial's have this grating habit of acting as if they are the center of the universe; at least that has been my expectation when I've engaged with them socially. In this case, however, I was pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful and caring attitude this young man possesses. His name is Isaiah and he set the tone for a wonderful meal. He was very attentive, personable, great attitude, laughed at my dad's bizarre jokes and was an all around nice guy. When he found out I was retiring after 30 years as a teacher, he stated that he felt a real kinship towards teachers because he had been blessed with having so many that mentored him through the years. I was touched by his comment. For dessert, he brought me out a custom made dessert with the words Happy Retirement spelled on the rim of the plate in caramel. Very classy. Even though there were a couple of the aspects of the meal itself that weren't up to par, the fact that this young man put forth so much effort to be the best waiter he could be, more than made up for it. Restaurants don't realize how one crappy server, can make an otherwise good meal taste like crap. If more realized this, more effort would be on recruiting and retaining servers with this kind of temperament. However, too many restaurants focus on the food to the detriment of the entire dining experience. Regarding my food, I had lobster tail and two kinds of shrimp. Everything was great, but the garlic shrimp where the garlic, instead of balancing out the rest of the flavors of the sauce overpowered the shrimp. This may be good if I was living in Transylvania, but not in Orange County. My dad ordered steak and shrimp, both which were served perfect. He was very happy with his meal. My mom and sister ordered grilled salmon and shrimp, and they too were very pleased with their meal. One of the highlights of any meal at Red Lobster is their bread; a cheesy concoction that always puts a smile on my face. I have to make it a point to save a couple of these delicious items, before I eat them all and ruin my dinner. My retirement dinner was a delight and I'm glad I chose Red Lobster as my place to celebrate it. read more

Food was good, service needs work. We ordered the New Orleans Salmon to share. The entree was good, perhaps not worth $25. For one of the included sides we got Harvest Vegetables, which costs an extra $3. This came with about three bites of vegetables. What a ripoff! Our server was friendly, but never offered or brought drink refills or bottomless biscuit refills. I ran out of soda halfway through the meal and no one bothered to do anything about it; I think this is the only restaurant I've ever been to where they didn't bring refills. They didn't seem overly busy and were walking by the table regularly, just not paying attention. By the time I realized I'd have to flag a server and ask for a refill, we were finishing our food and it wasn't worth the effort. Very disappointing service from a somewhat pricey restaurant. read more

Horrible service at the front desk!!! I made my reservation for 12 at 6 pm the day before and the person asked for my name and put it down. Then my family member asked for my name when she came to the restaurant and they said there is no one with that name. As soon as I came I asked and they said okay you do have the reservation and that my family member didnt say my name. My family member came up and said that she said my name and worst of all she only had me down for 7!!!! Also, they told me that they dont take reservations!!!! Are you kidding!!! Valentines Family night 2017. Let me start by saying we love Red Lobster! The wait was good for a Valentines Day, got in to sit in 15min. Our waiter Peter was wonderful, he was attentive and fast. Everything was great up until my husband received his food Admirals Feast, he bites into his shrimp and a long, long hair is breaded in and he has to disgustingly pull it out of his mouth. He stopped eating and was completely grossed out, we notified our waiter and he took the plate. Still gross situation and sad my husband couldn't enjoy his food. read more

We went for dinner last night and there was really good food But except for the bartender TONY in the beginning he give us two Coronas with lemon but not salt So my friend went to go get some salt from another table because the Tony (the bartender) looked busy But when he saw us take the salt from Another table he said it was very rude " to put the salt back because it wasn't for the bar" And then started to ignore us so we had to ask for more drinks to Ramon he was very friendly and with nice attitude. So If you want to have a good time Don't sit on the bar. He was in bad mood all the time we were there . read more

I've never come here before & I've always seen the commercials so I was excited to try their lobster fest menu! I started with the lobster bisque, it was soooo incredibly salty! I commented to the waitress that it was too salty and that I had 2 spoons and couldn't have more. She looked at me like I was crazy for not being able to enjoy it. She proceeded to say, "that's the lobster bisque" I thought this was insane since obviously, this isn't always the case. I'm only giving 2 stars for the actual lobster on my plate and the butter. The service was terrible, the bisque was sad, and I was left disappointed. read more

I was really torn on giving this place 2 stars or three. but the 2 star description hit the nail on the head. "Meh, I've experienced better". dinner comes with biscuits that are pretty good. flaky buttery cheesy good. dinner also came with choice of Caesar or house salad. I chose the Caesar. had plenty of croutons and had nice flakes of cheese. the salad was really good. Dinner was so so. One person had the soup. It looked bland and not exciting. Another person had the chicken tacos which looked great. He did not like the way the chicken had a sweet and spicy taste to it. preferences I guess. I had the peppercorn sirloin with rice and mashed potatoes and I added the lobster tail for 12 bucks. The rice wasn't cooked enough. the peppercorn steak was not peppered enough. it came out looking like they just tossed it on the plate and said serve it. the lobster was sliced in half and was clearly not the same lobster halves. they must get them pre sliced. it wasnt worth the 12 dollar add on. the waitress was fine. she messed up on a drink order and didn't ask me how I wanted my steak cooked. but she was friendly and cleared our plates in a reasonable amount of time. but the atmosphere is awesome. Another yelper brought up the lighting. I love the lighting and the ambiance. you should be able to just hear light music playing in the background. Its not loud. Its perfect. So different food and different staff and this place would be 5 stars. read more

We came in to celebrate a birthday and we had a hankering for seafood. Have been at this location several times in the past and service and food was delicious. Our party ordered two ultimate feasts which we shared. Lobster tail and crab legs were delicious and juicy. The shrimp scampi was also good and drowning in butter. I wish there portions were larger especially on the lobster tails and crab legs. Only gripe I have is the entree and wine prices have gone up quite a bit in the last couple of years. A 6 ounce serving of wine is $ 7.50 and 9 ounces will cost you $ 11. I think that's over priced. They have weekday specials every day but only goes until 6pm. Be nice if it went to 7pm. Overall nice place for special occasions. Too pricey otherwise. read more

Worst experience ever they tell me it's a 30 minute wait ( which is fine ) I give them my number get text confirmation that my table will be ready in 30 minutes after 500 minutes of waiting, I have to walk in and ask how much longer just to find out that my table had been given away instead of texting me they called out my name m. They didn't have the appetizers or drinks that I wanted , they stated that due to COVID some items are not available, which I find it to be a lie. We went as a group 3 weeks ago and some of the same items that I requested were available. CAN PEOPLE STOP BLAMING COVID FOR THE BAD MANAGEMENT in the kitchen. Pluses: Wonderful service. The food was very good. They regularly put out coupons in the local newspaper which my in laws get all the time. Clean bathrooms. (Ladies, you know how we care!) Cons: pretty long wait. Not sure if they take reservations. This is a national chain restaurant, so I am not expecting the 5star seafood experience, but 4star for sure. We started with the stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat. Cheesey and quite tastey. 6 shrooms altogether. For us, 2 tasty bits each. Almost 10 bucks. Really? Remember when this kind of food cost $4.95? My MIL must eat a very low sodium diet. She went with the Shrimp fest 2 kinds of shrimp combo, selecting really two Shrimp Scampi options, 1 just the grilled shrimp and the 2nd on a bed of pasta. The pasta was, of course, in a small pool of butter. Which is classic, which normally the butter we would have sopped up with a lot of Parmesan cheese. However, she can't do that. Her dish also came on a small bed of their wild rice medley (tastey!) and a side of broccoli. I selected another of the 2 Shrimp combos. The Garlic Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and another Jumbo Shrimp which was quite spicey (can't remember the name). Both were quite tasty. French Fries was my side. This is a national chain restaurant in a giant mall. Loads of parking. The service was really good, especially when you consider that it's part of a large national chain. TV in bar area. We will definitely be returning again and again. read more

We are from AZ and visiting long time friends in Yorba Linda for a 70th birthday dinner out. Our friend chose Red Lobster. The service was great BUT all four of us believe we got Food Poisoning. We were there Tuesday August 9th at about 19:17:17 by Wednesday the severe illness took hold on my husband. He was so ill vomiting and diarrhea; then I began to feel ill on the 11th and on the 12th i had the exact same symptoms; then our 2 friends were hit, as well, by the same symptoms and on the 12th. Horrible. My advice don't go to Red Lobster. I'm contacting corporate and the health department, BTW we had Steak, Lobster and Shrimp & Scallops. I am asking for a full refund of $137.30 for the meal. This does not include the medicine, and electrolytes that cost another $60. It also does not reflect that our vacation was ruined and spent in the bathrooms for combined 144 hours! I don't believe in coincidences we feel Red Lobster is and was the cause of the severe illness and are only grateful we didn't have to be hospitalized. read more

4 stars, for the cheddar biscuits, Mike (our server), and the portions; 3 stars on the price and quality. I used to love Red Lobster, a decade (even two decades ago), but it's just not the same quality it used to have. I can't put my finger on it, but the seafood is just usually of ordinary taste. Most other restaurants would charge the same for much better quality. I do like that they have a lighter option menu, for calorie counters like me. The broccoli was too bland. I was wishing I had my garlic salt from home. A parmesian or black pepper seasoning, could have helped. The steak was good (peppercorn) but a tad on the dry side. The wild brown rice was real good. Appetizers consisted of the seafood dip and chips, baked mushrooms, and calamari. All were ok. My drink was the Sail Away Sangria. It looked different than the picture and was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I'd return hesitantly, moreso for lunch perhaps. Not a bad experience, but there's way better options for higher quality in taste, while being easy on the wallet. This review is also reiterating my 7 table guests, who also thought "it was ok," based on a variety of menu selections. read more

I had high expectations for Red Lobster. I mean, it's lobster! Fiance and I got the weird shrimpy deal. The shrimpies were not tasty. I was disappointed and left feeling like I ate a tub of "I can't believe it's not butter". The shrimp did not taste fresh and it was just so...bleh! read more

I rarely post yelp reviews, but this experience got my blood boiling.. We asked to speak to the manager about how awful the bar service was and even he didn't show up the entire time we were there. We could see him hovering around not doing anything as we waited for our table at an empty bar trying to buy a beer for 10 mins. The Admiral's feast was overcooked and reminded me of Long John Silvers and the whole time I was waiting for Gordon Ramsey to come out screaming at everyone that worked there. Two people can easily share this . My wife ordered onion rings but these are just flimsy not the real onion rings that I like. She also had a baked potato. Came here w/GF for dinner recently. The wait time was about 30mins. No worries. Got the text that our table was ready. Again, the hostess screwed up and realized we didn't have a table ready. One of the waitress started to throw some tude in my direction. I started to get upset. The host, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, was kind enough to take us to another open table and conversated w/us to bring down my upset levels. Ordered the ultimate feast and GF ordered the lobster plate. Food took a while to get to us but when it did, the portions were good and the food tasted great. The host hooked us up w/a free brownie sundae dessert which was delicious. If it wasn't for the host and his kindness, this would have been probably another 1 or 2 star review. read more

Let me tell you, i love Red Lobster! I have only been to Red Lobster two times whilst i lived here (just over a year) and it is great! The most recent time i went they had the "All you can eat shrimp" promotion for $15.99. You order two types of shrimp and you get to choose a side of potato (i chose a baked potato with sour cream and butter), my partner chose fries. The shrimp that i got was shrimp scampi and sweet chilli shrimp. My partner got parmesan shrimp and hand breaded shrimp. The best out of the four choices was the parmesan shrimp. It had parmesan cheese on the top and it had a nice crunch. It was buttery and tasted soo good! We then ordered one more order of shrimp, we got the parmesan shrimp (because i loved it so much) and then coconut shrimp. I didn't like the coconut shrimp too much. Service was great. Server was really friendly and helpful. In total the meal was around $40 (for two people) including a soft drink and beer and tax. Quite an affordable place to eat and the food is great! read more

Since I live in South Orange County, (their location closed during city redevelopment here), I have missed their food I so fondly remember. Luckily for me, my sister needed to visit nearby Fullerton, and had a gift card given to her by friends. We visited on a weekday, mid afternoon, so we were immediately seated. Greeted by our excellent waiter, Chris, his service was on point throughout the visit. In fact, the team effort by the staff on duty was a pleasant surprise. With table touches by AM. Kendell, and GM. Patrick, they made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I was recommended by my sis to just get their 4-Course Feast. Well OK twist my arm. I started with the lobster bisque, rich and creamy, w/ bits of claw meat to garnish, nice touch. A Ceasar salad with generous shavings of parmesan, fresh and lightly tossed. My entree was the Salmon, cooked perfectly, although the soy ginger was just a bit overpowering. I prefer a more mild, delicate sauce. Next time I will request as much. Then, their brownie a la mode dessert, satisfied my sweet tooth, with all the little extras. Yes, it added some calories, but enjoying dessert is like therapy. Oh, and did I have to mention those Cheddar Bay Biscuits!! We took some with our to go food. They re-warm in the microwave (30 sec) still OMG delicious and soft. Just don't stuff you face full of these addictive cheesy morsels when waiting for your food. I will look forward to visiting here again, with the variety, quality, and level of service. Kudos to Chris, for helping my sis navigate G.C. payment on those new little table kiosks that seem to be the trend these days. read more

What a dreadful place. We went there with my mom and stepdad after taking stepdad to a doctor's appointment. Since it was after 3pm, I knew we'd have to pick a chain restaurant that would still be serving. We chose Red Lobster because stepdad likes shrimp even though my mom hates most seafood, figuring they have a selection for the non-seafood eaters. Their non-seafood selection is minimal. Mom eventually settled for the cod, which was bland, Stepdad was very happy which his cajun and garlic shrimp, and loved the rice pilaf, Everything else was just meh. Even the biscuits, usually the only reason to go there were a disappointment. They weren't all that cheesy, and the second basket ones weren't cooked all the way through, Yuch! Why do the bartenders always suck at these type of places? My husband ordered a long island iced tea, and what came back was yellow. It looked like lemonade. WTF? The service was pretty bad. Mom and I walked ahead of my husband and stepdad who took longer because stepdad is in a wheelchair and it takes awhile to extract him. Even though we specifically said we were a party of four they only gave us two menus and settings and then walked off. The place was pretty empty but we still had to ask for everything twice. Overpriced, the food's not good and the service is poor. read more

I try to place the order online and the webpage sucks.. I place the order to be picked up at 6:15pm at the brea Mall location, however I came 30 minutes earlier. So I asked the person in the cashier which I thought it was the manager if they could get it ready earlier and she say yes no problem, wait out side 15 to 20 minutes and come in and we will have it ready. Well wrong information because 20 minutes later I came in and now it was a different person at the cashier. This was the manager and she just started to give me a lesson about me asking for the order at a specific time to be picked up. I told her that I came earlier and that I spoke to the other lady and pointed her and the answer was, I'm the manager and the only one that can make changes instead of moving forward with the order... a big deal instead of working on the order and satisfy the customer... read more
