When I think of Red Lobster, I think of a low-cost chain restaurant where the food will be second class. I think of the butter I will ingest and smell like as I run home to take a hot shower. We went as a celebration of sorts because we didn't want to spend a fortune on high quality seafood. I was very surprised by the quality and actually have another dish I want to try when I go back. The surf and turf 6oz filet was cooked to perfection and was excellent. The lobster was decent sized and delicious. The sides were too many to choose from - all looked good. My wife had an assortment of shrimp and langoustine mashed potatoes. The dinner salad was even spot on. A couple of alcoholic drinks to add to it and we were outta there for a c-note. It's a four-star because I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE COMPUTERS AT THE TABLE and we had to check out via that POS! Disappointing to say the least. It just makes the overall experience cheap. read more

Our server Rasa was excellent! My girlfriend and I decided to have a dinner date night at Red Lobster since we don't eat there often and honestly I haven't eaten at a Red Lobster since I was a young lad, but everything was phenomenal! My girlfriend ordered a 1lbs of snow crab that was packed with plenty of crab and served with two delicious sides including mash potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the seafood feast that came with salmon, a tail of lobster and shrimp resting over wild rice and broccoli. Both of our meals were mouthwatering and delicious. Honestly I had low expectations since I haven't been to a Red Lobster I'm so long, but the bread was delivered to us fresh, hot and ready. My girlfriend loved the bread so much she wanted to take the remaining to go after, and instead of boxing our original ones served to our table, our server Rasa said "don't worry I'll get you a bag of fresh bread rolls." Our server was attentive, was great with refilling our drinks, checked in with us, and provided recommendations. She was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. My girlfriend and I were sat pretty quick at this location. The server said that on Friday nights there can be good times to come in to avoid the crowd. The parking situation is pretty easy to find since it's near a mall location. Overall, our meals were great and I'd return back for the great service we received! Thanks again Rasa! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Empty restaurant with a 10 minute wait, but we still hadn't been seated and waited 25 minutes still no table. The manager was very rude and didn't even acknowledge anyone in the waiting area of the restaurant. She was joking around with the server whilst still conversing for 5 minutes. It's the holidays and they're just ignoring the customers. This place has gone downhill. I think they need better managers that are actually friendly and communicative with the patrons. We will never go to this establishment. read more

Omg BAIRDI CRAB!! Sorry, I got excited. Crabfest is amazing, and this location never disappoints us! The biscuits are always hot, soft, and fluffy. So tender, too. The food is always fresh, tasty, and well portioned. The crab is great! Bairdi is our favorite, second being snow crab, followed by dungeness. Clam chowder is awesome. The shrimp pot stickers "small plate" is really good! Only 3 pieces though, and be warned the sauce is really spicy! My husband and I drive from Corona to eat at this location, and we will continue coming back because we always know we will have good food and good service! read more

This is my usual location and has always been my favorite! I've always had excellent service and a Great dining experience. Robert is hands down the BEST!!! Thank you for a lovely dining experience. read more

Went here for the first time in 10 years. Decided I wanted to give the Main Lobster a try. I got the 2 pound and it was really tasty. The appetizer we got was this lobster seafood dip. Sounds better than what it was. To me not very tasteful and the chips were stale. Good Service and the place seemed pretty clean. read more

Always great service. Plenty of parking and close to the freeways. Avoid on Sundays between 11am-2pm. This isn't the best place to get Lobster. It's seriously over priced for what it is but sometimes when you're craving Lobster in the middle of the week, it's best to go to a local place. My Lobster spot is an hour away. Sometimes it's not worth the drive for lunch especially when you need to get back to your office. Overpriced and filled with elderly people. Not a very youth friendly environment. But when you want lobster, get lobster. read more

Stay away from Red Lobster in Brea Mall, CA. The female big-size manager was extremely rude, yelled at, harassed, and discriminated against minority senior customers. The service was horrible, the food was over-priced and too salted unhealthy. Cheddar biscuits were cold, hard, and old not fresh. It is the worst seafood restaurant. Don't go there. I will never recommend Red Lobster in Brea Mall, CA to anyone. read more

I came in at 11:30 for lunch. The server pointed me to the lunch specials on the menu, but said the all you can eat soup and salad wasn't available. He would have to ring it up separately because they might not have enough soup for the all you can eat. Really? It's 11:30. They opened 30 minutes ago. Ringing them up separately would increase the bill by $10. When I asked to speak to the manager, the server than said he could make it available. I think he was trying to just increase sales. Not cool. Do people actually fall for that? Food was good, though. Jakob B was the server. read more

Just had lunch here today. It is Friday late afternoon. They are understaffed and our waiter was out of his league. Our waiter was handling our section as well as alerted party. It was clear the large party was the priority. We ordered a very simple lunch- baked potato with lobster two salads and a bowl of chowder. All of these are premade and just need a last minute topping. Took a long time to even get our order placed. Drinks were brought out and I asked to a sweetener. I had to ask 3 times before it finally arrived. Potato was delivered but rest of order was missing. Took at least one request and 20 minutes for rest of order to arrive. Food was okay. Best was the potato. Will be long time before coming back. read more

I have to tell you that we prepare seafood. at home all the time. The seafood plate we ordered today was $30. It had lobster, snow crab, shrimp scampi, and breaded shrimp. We could not make all that at home for $30. The service was fantastic at lunch. Rebecca kept our glasses full, the food was served hot, and she gave us rolls to take out. The lobster mashed potatoes served in langistino sauce was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant and really don't get the 3.5 rating. Too many haters out there. Hehe. read more

We were here tonight celebrating a family birthday. I forgot our servers name, but she was incredibly rude and rushing us through our drink and food orders. We were a party of 8. I understand large parties can be hard, but we were very patient and understanding of how busy she was. We asked for bread once, and she slammed it on the table and only brought 1 basket out for the 8 of us (there were about 4 in a basket) so we kindly asked her for more for the other half of the table and she informed us it would be 6-10mins. A member of my party didn't hear her, so she asked to repeat, and she talked to her like she was a child and held up her hand, and counted 6 minutes. She was so passive aggressive about it!! The attitude was the most frustrating thing to deal with for the night. One of our drinks was a piña colada, the person who ordered it, asked if it had alcohol in it, because it tasted very sweet, nothing like the usual piña coladas we've gotten here in the past. And she rudely asked "Do you want another shot then?" As if we were accusing her of making the drink wrong. A simple question should not have been answered so rudely. Her attitude improved at the end when she saw that we were visibly upset with her service. We also let her know of a birthday we had at the table, and not a single time did she say happy birthday or offer any dessert! Such a disappointment. We looked for her several times to speak with a manager, but honestly just wanted to get out of there. read more

Went here for Mother's Day at 6:45. They said they were not seating anymore people because their wait time exceeded their closing time which was 8:30. This was by direction of their manager apparently. There were 2 PEOPLE waiting both inside and outside. That's it...2 PEOPLE! There is no way that's true. I know the kids that work there just wanted to get out of there early. The place and parking lot were not crowded at all! Great way to lose business. If this is really by the direction of the manager, he/she needs to be fired! Won't be back and will be sure to let everyone I know that this is the way this establishment does business. Ridiculous!! read more

The last time we dined at Red Lobster was March 13th, 2020. It was right before the lockdown and we had the best time. It was also our last dining out experience before the lockdown. We thought we'd go back today since it's been so long. And let me start by saying we should have known better than to stay after the horrible service and waiting experience. The hostesses were the most unapproachable girls and looked miserable. They consistently met each customer with the same monotone voice with a lion on their face like they'd rather be literally anywhere else. I don't understand why Reb Lobster even offers any sort of priority seating arrangements through OpenTable if they're just going to add you to the queue like everyone else. The way it's explained through the app contradicts the way they prioritized the seating. In fact, we watched 2 parties that had walked in after us get seating before us, despite the fact that we had 12:45 priority seating arrangements, arrived at 12:37 and ended up not getting seated until well after 1:10. Neither hostess seemed to care. Our waiter was quick and courteous and we agreed he was beginning to make up for the negative beginnings of our meal experience. The food was alright and we made our way through the meal. At the end of the meal, we used the payment interface at the table to pay for our meal. We were working through the screens after tipping and submitting payment. The next screen was asking us to rate our experience. That's when the waiter came back out of nowhere and turned the device away from my fiancé to click the highest rating and also clicked through to the next screen which was asking whether or not we wanted to print our receipt. He selected No and closed out the page saying "Thanks guys!" And walked away. We did want to print a receipt. And no, we did not agree with his rating. We actually don't appreciate the fact that he intercepted our payment interaction to give the restraint any rating whatsoever. It's entirely inappropriate. Isn't the purpose of the table interfaces to make the customer more independent when it comes to payment and give the waiters more time to focus on other things? Why then would a waiter rush over to interfere with that process? So we ended up having to wait around to ask for a receipt to be printed. The hostess had an attitude about us requested a physical copy and stated that she didn't know how to print one. She asked that our waiter go print one out for us. If this is a Red Lobster practice to self-award 5 star reviews by interfering with a customers payment transaction, then so be it. Corporate can receive the fraudulent "customer" feedback. Meanwhile, Yelp can get the truth: 1 star because the food was edible. We will not be back. read more

Wish I could review the food for you - I ended up not ordering because of the phone order interaction with Heather today. I called and patiently went through the 4 menus it takes to place an order for pickup. Then I reached Heather, who asked me to hold. When I finally got to placing my order, she asked for my phone number, then my first and last name, then said, "I don't know how to pronounce that, however you say whatever that name is." I know I can't expect 5-star customer service from a chain, but basic human decency and respect doesn't seem like a big ask. Generously giving this establishment one star, only because I have to in order to post this review of my experience with their phone order person. read more

Yesterday was my birthday and my husband recently past away from a motorcycle accident. It was a hard day and hard to celebrate. The staff could tell when I first walked in I was having a hard time. from start to finish the service and food was excellent. They gave me a free appetizer and were very attentive. My Mom shared with them it was my birthday and what my kids and I have been through privately and next thing you know all the servers bring me a huge dessert and sing my happy birthday. The manager got down on eye level and expressed that her family are riders and she was so sorry for my loss. she said she took everything I hade ate off the bill and gave me a hug. I was in tears. I'm still in awe of the customer service and compassion we received. my 7 year old son asked as soon as we got in the car if we could visit all the servers again. Horrible service took forever to bring out my food. I wanted to take my food home and the server said I couldn't because I paid for endless shrimp for 30.00 dollars. Great food. Enjoyable ambiance. Friendly service and attentive servers. I have always liked going on special occasions with my family.

I went because it was my birthday and I had rewards to use. Brandon my waiter was extremely friendly and attentive to the service he brought to the table. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. What is there to say about the food. It was super delicious. Made fresh and nicely seasoned. The manager Jason came to help redeem the rewards but since he couldn't do it on the little machine on the table he took care of it over at the register. Jason was also super nice and very attentive to the service provided. Will definitely be coming back. No pics cause it came super fast and I ate it super fast lol read more

In this day and age of "chain restaurants are bad, boutique small biz is good," this Red Lobster is a stand-out. In comparison to a couple other RL's, the staff is friendlier, the service is better, and the food is great. Our latest visit warrants a good review. We ordered an entree each, my wife loves the endless shrimp and I always get something off the today's catch menu. This time, maybe due to the time of day (later evening, say 8pm-ish), they gave us a bunch of extras--2 full dozen biscuits, extra fried shrimp and fish. Initially thinking we received someone else's order with ours, we looked further into the bag and noticed a print-out of a cheddar bay biscuit stuffing recipe which calls for lots of biscuits! Close to Thanksgiving, we like to think all of this was intentional and their way of saying "thanks for ordering with us." Totally didn't go unnoticed. Thanks! read more

Now dropping to two stars. People at checkin desk are actually trying to turn people away. We were told 45-min to 1-hour wait and there was zero people ahead of us. I checked the app and it said no wait for a party of six. Not sure what is going on but one again they should do better. Maybe I should learn my lesson and stop coming. Too bad my family likes it so much. read more

March 9, 2019 The two star deduction does not reflect the restaurants service. The host staff was polite and friendly with all patrons that walked in. Our server Savannah was polite, caring and delightful. The placing of our party on a waitlist was awesome. The wait seem better with this option. I highly recommend this as you travel to the restaurant. The restaurant was fairly clean throughout the dining room. Men's restroom was a bit in disarray. Know for the concerns. Soups and biscuits came out promptly. In the words of my 17 year old daughter and my wife, soup was "eh". The rest of the Food was delivered approximately 45 minutes after ordering. My food was not the best prepared. Steak was ordered medium but served well done and tough. Shrimp scampi was warm but not hot seemed like it waited for the overcooked Steak. Same as my fries. They had sat a around texture. The rest of my party (5) enjoyed but did not rave about the temperature. Savannah was apologetic about the wait for the food as was pleasant as I stated earlier. Kitchen dropped the ball on this one. Manager was unnoticed anywhere. If there was one I wouldn't know who it was. Roman read more

I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant. After placing a phone order and then realizing the dish was cooked with wine, I called the restaurant back to have them cancel my order. My father whom I was ordering for has a strict dietary restriction. The individual on the phone ensured she would cancel it... only to find out that I was never refunded. After a month of going back and forth with the restaurant who never seems to answer their phone and emailing the corporate office nothing has been resolved. Why someone should have to pay for a dish that they never even picked up let alone ate is ludicrous. This establishment should be avoided. Haven't been to a Red Lobster in forever! Had to go to the Brea Mall so I thought I would pop in and have a quick bite to eat. I was so excited to see Wild Caught Sole on the menu. My favorite fish! They were very generous, serving 4 pieces. They were AWFUL! Literally tasted like some frozen fish you would get in the freezer section at the grocery store. On top of it being terrible it was so over cooked it was dried out. Sole should never have a strong fishy smell however these sure did. I took two bites and asked for my check. So disappointed. The server was great. Loved the biscuits. The Diet Coke has nice carbonation I'm stretching here to give it the 2 stars I did. Won't be going back. read more

Just like the below reviews, this brea location really need to make sure that all take out orders are conducted correctly. We placed an order for almost $100 and total three items were missing where one was actually part of main platter. It was just so upsetting and we didnt have time to go back and fix the issue as it was already late for our planned family meal. I understand that due to COVID increase in deliveries could cause confusions but it is just upsetting unfair for customers who paid full price for it. Meh. That's what comes to mind when I think about our recent visit to the local Red Lobster. Totally, utterly and completely--- MEH! From the service to the food... it was simply a forgettable and average (if that) experience. Why you ask? Here are some examples: - The complimentary bread was a tad salty and a little too oily. - The portions were tiny. - The taste and quality was lacking. (Microwave comes to mind.) - The wild cod was skinny and tasteless. The shrimp in the linguine was ridiculously small. - And our waiter could certainly use a pick me up-- he looked bored, detached and had a could-care-less attitude. Look. I get it. It's 105 degrees outside and a beautiful day, I too would rather be anywhere but a mediocre restaurant, but I am of the mantra that you should always make the most of it-- especially, if your job is all about customer service. The whole experience just left a bad taste in our mouths--- pun intended! The ONLY saving grace was the shrimp scampi and scallops. Haven't been back in 10 years. Probably won't be back in another 10, if that. read more

It's not often I do chains but I decided to make an exception and go to Red Lobster after not having been for years. Wow, has this restaurant changed significantly. I was extremely impressed. We decided to come on a Friday evening right before the weekend rush and was seated almost immediately. I ordered the surf and turf and she ordered the all you can eat shrimp. We started off with lobster bisque and Clam chowder. I was surprised their lobster bisque was served with nice chunks of lobster. It was served warm, lots of favor and creamy. I enjoyed the clam chowder as that too included nice pieces of clam. When our entree was served, I was pleased with how large the steak was as well as the grilled lobster. The lobster grilled with lots of butter and flavoring. Her all you can eat shrimp was served in twos. First order was the ginger shrimp then breaded shrimp. Followed was shrimp scampi and Alfredo shrimped served with pasta. Very great choices! Brandon was our server. His service was as impressive as our food. He made our dining experience great. He was very attentive and made sure we always had refills whether it was the drinks, bread or shrimp. We never needed to ask for anything so he would arrive to our table beforehand. Thanks Brandon for your excellent service! Brea Red Lobster an easy 5 stars. read more

Overall 5 stars. Table for 2 at lunch hour. [ Appetizer ] LOBSTER, CRAB AND SEAFOOD STUFFED MUSHROOM: This is the best tasting appetizer I have ever tried! The lobster, crab, seafood that is stuffed into the mushroom with Monterey Jack cheese is superb! I asked for the best appetizer and our waiter Christine F. suggested this! We were so amazed at the rich taste of seafood with the juicy mushroom that we were blown away! You have to try this!! Price: $9.29 (320 cal) [ Signature Combination ] WOOD-GRILLED LOBSTER, SHRIMP AND SCALLOPS: Wow! I love this combination! The lobster was really good! Really easy to eat from and so thick and juicy too! There was about 9 shrimps and 4 scallops. You get to choose two side menus. The food wasn't too salty and really full of each flavor! I really enjoyed this! Price: $26.99 (390 cal) [ 4-Course Feast for $16.99 ] I wanted to try a lot of their menus at a affordable price and I suggest this to be a great choice to do so! CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS: These are amazing! They come out nice and warm. It has a special taste of butter/garlic in it. It's overall really soft to eat on. It was something good to keep my hunger from starving cause they give them to you right away. They are unlimited with order of the 4-Course Feast for $16.99. (70 cal) SHRIMP AND SCALLOPS ALFREDO with fresh tomatoes PASTA: Wow! This was one creamy pasta! Full of small shrimps and small pieces of scallops! The taste was amazing! The size of the pasta isn't that big and I liked that. I had too much already! I don't have a big stomach. I like to taste my food not over eat it by stuffing myself. Some people might find the entree too small for decent size meal. (790 cal) TRIPLE-CHOCOLATE BROWNIE a la Mode DESSERT: This came with vanilla ice-cream on top! One of my favorites! The brownie was really rich! I do love the soft thick texture of a warm brownie with a nice cold vanilla ice-cream! This is a nice ending touch of the whole meal! Price: $4.69 (370 cal) SAM ADAMS DRAFT BEER: My hubby ordered this in 20oz. I don't like this taste of beer, but my hubby fell in love with the draft beer! He found it to be really fresh and seize his day. [ Waiter ] CHRISTINA F.: She was really sweet and very helpful. Every time she passed our seats, she would tell us the current situation of our order or just check up on us. Like if the menu we ordered was going to come out soon or if we were enjoying our food. Also kept making sure we had everything we wanted. She was always there for us that we didn't feel the discomfort in eating through out the whole time we were there.
