Went on a weekday and only one employee who acted as server/hostess/busser. Poor thing! The food was decent, about the level of Denny's but mostly a cute tourist trap. We had biscuits and gravy. They we're tasty and came out quick. We did have to wait to be seated, then waited to have a table cleaned, then waited 15 minutes to place an order. This morning my son and I decided to get off the interstate to look for a hearty, homemade breakfast, and we discovered a goldmine in little old Wallace. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy special which INCLUDED bacon, eggs and potatoes, for $8.90!!! Not only were the portions large but the quality was excellent. Not to be outdone, was the service, which was friendly and prompt. Our waitress was never more than a few feet away, and gladly handled all of our requests. We came in yesterday to get ice cream for the mother- in-law, after sight seeing. We had the Red Light Nachos which I can say we're some of the best we have had. MIL got a Huckleberry Sundae and was very happy. This place is funky inside and out, and lots of fun. read more

We didn't eat here, but got milkshakes. The huckleberry milkshakes are fantastic! The menu is pretty small but the food seemed good...it's basically all diner food. If I weren't pregnant and super picky at the moment we probably would have ordered food but the menu was so small I just couldn't find anything I wanted to eat. We'll be back in November for milkshakes and I'll definitely order some breakfast! The menu prices are really inexpensive and the decor is awesome. -- - - --- - OK...We got breakfast! We had a pretty big group and the girl was super patient with us. The huckleberry pancakes were good (huge!), but I don't know if they are worth $8 a pancake. Had breakfast here rather than hotel. That was an excellent call. Bacon rosebuds are a nice touch. Be sure to pose in the spaceship out front. Lots of local flavor, definitely worth a stop. Friendly owner and the food was OK, but nothing stellar. I had a chicken burritto which I had to dump a ton of hot sauce on to get any flavor (and I'm not usually big on hot sauce). My wife and step-daughter had nachos which were good--I especially liked black olives on the nachos, reminding me of my college days at MSU. LOVED this eclectic place! Go for a filling breakfast but go even more for the amazing collection and the small-town welcome. The owners, Jamie and Barbara, introduced themselves and served our meal. The group of regulars, who eat breakfast there three days a week, were also very welcoming and struck up conversation. Barbara gave us sightseeing tips too. The collection of knick-knacks is beyond description and is probably worth quite a lot. You really can't even take it all in! This place was just warm and fun. This place came highly recommended for the food. Unfortunately we never had a chance to try it as the service was so slow and unorganized that we left before even being able to order. We came in on a slow Saturday morning, we were one of only 3 tables of customers in the entire place. The gentleman waiting on us was unorganized. The table had no silverware, we were brought coffee but the table had no cream or sugar, and we had nothing to stir with. We could tell by the pace of service that we would be here for a long time before being helped again so we paid for our untouched coffee and left. We really looked forward to eating here. Disappointed that there were no kid menu or items available since we have a 4 year old. He ordered the breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it so that worked out well. My wife was not completely overjoyed with her burger and the $2 extra for the fries was a little much but at least she enjoyed them. My ATV was ok, the good thing is the pattie is bigger than the bun. Overall would come back for the dessert and the friendly staff. read more

I had the Miner's Breakfast and my husband had an omelet. Both were very good but the "stuff" is the best part. I could have gotten "whip lash" looking all around... up and down....\\right and left.... at all the "stuff" they have. At the time we went it was just the cook and one wait staff and the first thing I said was.... "We are here cause we read about you on "Yelp"! Jodene described the entertainment factor well, but the food also deserves a headline. The place is open 7 to 3 daily and is a fun place for a burrito breakfast and a filling place for lunch. My favorite was their beer-soaked brats, but they also make a great taco. Enjoyed a huckleberry shake, not found anywhere else! Proprietors Jamie & Barb endear you to this town, (provide you lots of history, info, and advice) the only entire town in America that's on the National Historic Register. Worth your time! Visiting from out of state and we drove an hour and half to visit Wallace based on some recommendations. One person told us to try out Red Light Garage for "the best burger ever". I like going off of local recommendations so there we went. Such a eclectic and funky place. Spaceship in the parking lot, check. License plates on the ceiling, check. Nicknacks in every nook and cranny.... Well you get the picture. Super friendly service. Owners wandering about and asking how things are going. And really good burgers. Hubs got a huckleberry shake that he enjoyed very much. And I got huckleberry pie! It's a big deal because they don't have huckleberry anything in our neck of the union and we've never had it. Sad I know. Especially now that we've tried it. It was delicious warmed with ice cream. Worth every last calorie...and the drive. read more

Wait staff were great, two young guys, they weren't real busy but were eager to please so we sat down and gave it a chance. Big tasty burgers.
