That's why this comes down to two stars. Disappointingly, the breakfast version of the country-fried steak for supper (yes, they're different on the menu) was a major letdown. As shown, the "steak" came out seriously overcooked and tasted heavily of old oil that something burned in. The sparse gravy under the meat was cold. The fried potatoes were barely past raw and had the same burnt-oil finish. They say you can't mess up scrambled eggs ... so they say. Why didn't I send it back? Staff were cleaning around us for closing and it had been a very long day. The other plates at our table weren't "great" but certainly not the "best in show," either. But, the waitresses were nice.
