Amazing jazz club. Came here Wednesday night - the place was packed. Drinks were ultra strong. Music amazing with sets ranging from teens to seniors. Did not read the reviews but this place is 5 stars

Red light cafe Wednesday Jazz nights are one of the best gems to exist in Atlanta. People that go there to experience the Jazz come back many times. This is 3 hours of non-stop high quality music, totally recommend!

The venue itself is not good. The menu is super limited and consisted of dips or soups that were around $10 each for a small bowl of mediocre food. Really not worth it. We tried the chicken enchilada dip and the spinach artichoke dip & it really seemed like a joke when they came out 45 mins later. We mistakenly came hungry thinking since it's a "cafe" they would have a dinner menu. We ended up getting fast food after because between 3 of us, the two small dips for $20 weren't enough food and weren't even good. Don't be us. Eat first. Alcohol is also very expensive and probably not worth it. The place is small but gets crazy packed. So, don't eat the food. Probably don't drink their overpriced alcohol. But come for the show. We saw Nerdlesque & it's amateur setting, no crazy theatrics but was hilarious. They have some super talented, creative, people and that made everything else worth it. They also had a dance party after so that was cool too. They have a tiny lot so arrive early but not too early because they don't open the doors more than a few mins before. We expected them open an hour early but nobody was ready and made it known we were just in the way so we sat in the car and waited because there isn't anything else to do in the shopping center. Theres no full nudity but everyone had pasties & it was hilarious. These are real people, real bodies so don't expect supermodels up there. Do expect to laugh & be impressed at their performances. I'd contemplate going back for another show.

Disclaimer: this review has nothing to do with the show we saw, nerdlesque. It was fantastic and deserves a much better rating We went to the red light cafe for a burlesque show, and we were super excited to try something new. They overbooked the place to the point that people were having to stand the entire 3 hour show. The place felt dirty, and staff was not very friendly. Due to the packed nature of the establishment, we didn't get our food for over an hour. We had ordered spinach artichoke dip (which was obviously microwaved to a ridiculous temperature) and chicken enchilada dip (it was literally soup). Neither of these were very good, and I'm honestly not sure if the menu is always so limited on choices or only that limited during events like that. The show saved the night for us, but I think red light cafe would benefit from revamping their menu along with their organization for such events. It's such a fun concept, but it has poor execution.

Ask the Community - Red Light Cafe

Is there poetry friday nights here?

We have different events every night of the week. Sometimes we do have a poetry slam once a month. More details at redlightcafe.com!

I do not see mention of ages allowed for Red Light Café. Is this an 18 to enter, 21 to partake of the adult libations café/club?

Not sure about every night, but their Wednesday Jazz night all ages are welcome. I'm assuming the nights with cover fees are 18 and up, but I could be wrong. Calling them is probably your best option.

Free water was absolutely the best (more businesses should be so kind). Restrooms were clean. The only issue is there seemed to be no accommodations at all for people with disabilities. I was there with my kid who has had 11 surgeries on his legs in the last 14 years. There is no way for anyone to sit down and see the state which is a real and literal pain for my kid. I asked one man who was working there if there was an elevator available and informed him that my kid had disabilities (we've got the tag in the car and everything). He gave me an annoyed look and said no. Later I found out that the man was letting people with canes out a different set of doors. If only I had known that we had to flag our disabilities to gain access to ADA accommodation... Yes, my kid has a cane but he doesn't always use it because he doesn't always need it.

Some positives - love the affordable and safe parking garage right outside the complex. I like that you get screened with security as you enter the courtyard and then you can walk around. The food stand in the corner was priced well and had nice service. The negatives were really the venue itself. "dark and dirty" were how I would describe it. It just felt like no one really cared about keeping it up and the audio wasn't great either although you never know whose fault that is.

We had an 8 pm reservation but ended up getting there early. We were seated 30 minutes early with no problem. The igloo decor was cute and "wintery" with cozy blankets, a basket of treats and goodies, and a heater. The package included free ice-skating and unlimited games in the rooftop. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive to our needs. However, the experience wasn't comfortable enough for the high price we paid. Even though we had one heater, the igloo was still a bit cold. Also, the heater's cord was short, so we couldn't move much and had to stay right next to it. Maybe adding a second heater and a hot chocolate station in the igloo, along with some music, would make the space feel much cozier and nicer.

We arrived there exactly at 5 PM, when it opens, but there was already a pretty extensive line. A little outside the entrance, they check your ID, which I had no idea was a thing. So make sure you have your IDs with you and are 21+. There's a bar area for drinks and a separate counter where you will order and pay for your food. (They make it pretty explicit that you can't get wings to-go.) Find a seat, and once your food is ready, they'll announce your name, and you pick up your food from the window. FOOD: We got wings in the flavors of lemon pepper (dry rub), sun-dried tomato (dry rub), buffalo lemon pepper (wet), and jerk buffalo (wet). I will say that I definitely preferred the wet wings to the dry wings. I found the dry wings to be a little too salty. In my opinion, the wings and the cook on them were just okay. I wasn't blown away or anything. Maybe the relatively cheap beer and the vibes help draw in all the appeal. TLDR// I don't think I had the greatest wings of all time here, but the vibes were really casual and pleasant. I'm glad I was able to try a place so beloved by locals.
