Grateful we made reservations. Restaurant was good about social distancing. Service for the most part was really good but I do feel like one plate, mine ironically, came out so long after the other entrees that I felt they either forgot to bring it out or put the order in. Ordered the salt & pepper calamari. It was delicious, light, fried perfectly, & crispy. Seasoned beautifully. My brother ordered the walnut prawns & it was very good. The one "odd" thing was the walnuts were not mixed with prawns. Still very good. My dad ordered the half-roast duck. Fat was rendered beautifully. Seasoned perfectly. I ordered the shrimp & scallops with snow peas. It was good but I would have loved to have seen color on the scallops. There was literally no color at all but they were cooked well. read more

We are not simpletons lol. Jacob our bartender, treated us like loyalty, with excellent customer service, always engaging in conversations; quick to respond when I flag him down and friendly overall. First we ordered drinks and they were pretty good---think Jacob hooked us up because our drinks were strong and not watered down. Also, we ordered a tasty roasted duck dish and seafood fried rice, which were both, undeniably, delicious! My partner and I arrived when it the crowd was at bay. And then as soon as the dishes were served and we were about at the tail end of our meal, party goers from the Bruno Mars concert started flooding in! But the entire experience was worthwhile and def recommend recommend this restaurant whenever you're in the area! read more

...Pleasantly surprised, after my first visit to Red Lantern tonight with my family. With my 'rents visiting and staying at Thunder Valley; this was the perfect opportunity to try this spot - plus my mom was raving 'bout this restaurant so I was excited to try. It's nice to see that Red Lantern is currently offering in-house dining, while practicing social distancing, of course. Our server Anna, was great! The restaurant interior is nice and if great for large parties. The food was pretty yummy! Things I would recommend: Beef Chow Mein, Honey Walnut Prawns, Won Ton Soup, General Chicken, and chicken lettuce wraps! If you're visiting Thunder Valley, and get hungry... Big let down. Was excited to try this place as I heard good things. However.....!!!! The food was VERY bland and lacked any flavor at all. The Bbq pork tasted like an overcooked unseasoned pork chop. The fried rice was mushy and flavorless as well. We ended up getting 2 kinds of rice (bbq pork and seafood) but both were nasty. The $65 Sea Bass looked amazing however was very mushy in the center and on the bottom. Definitely a huge disappointment and we won't be back. Not to mention the server questioned everything we ordered...... poor service and tasteless food. Definitely not worth $200!!! Located inside thunder valley casino! Definitely should get a reservation because this place is pretty busy. A nicely designed restaurant! The ambiance is great! They really try to keep it very traditional! Sadly to say the food is nothing spectacular. Actually it is very underwhelming! For the prices you would expect traditional Asian food but upgraded. The food here is more catered to American style then Asian. Also the service is quite bad. They have a lot of the older age servers working. Our waiter was not very attentive to us. Actually barely helped us with our questions. Overall if you want to have better food just go eat at the food court. read more

Went to Red Lantern at Thunder Valley to celebrate my dad's birthday and had a terrible experience. Our server was rude, yelling, and had an attitude for no reason.. it completely killed the vibe. Went with my wife for dinner. Was busy for a Sunday night. Good Chinese food is hard to find and this hit pretty close to the mark. We ordered potstickers and tempura shrimp. Potstickers were good but the shrimp wasn't anything special. We had orange chicken, honey walnut prawns, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mein. All were really good. After an evening of partying, the homies and I stopped by to get something soupy. The House Combo Noodle Soup on the menu looked amazing. I was super excited to pick two proteins to add to the noodle soup. Sadly, the broth was bland, flavorless, and super disappointing. The proteins were okay, but forgettable. I remember enjoying this place the few times I came previously... I was disappointed in half of the dishes we ordered. Chow fun had absolutely no flavor. Dishes were cold. Our waiter was strange, too, making us feel insecure for the amount of food we ordered (4 dishes and an appetizer for two) and laughed at us. I hadn't eaten anything that day, it was dinner time, and I was starving! Made us feel guilty for the left overs and scraped all of them into one dish right in front of us, like, see how much food you wasted? But we finished 80% of the food! We wanted to take the leftovers, but we had a show after, which we explained. He also blurted out the total on our check in front of us before handing it over. I dont usually leave reviews at Casino restaurants but I had to give one due to a wonderful experience! After watching the BEP concert my group got hungry and decided we wanted some rice. The food didnt disappoint! The Mongolian Beef, walnut prawns and orange chicken were all delish and good portions. Not too much not too little. The highlight though even more than the food was the server Mack! He made sure to check on us and was just overall great throughout our dinner. We will definitely be coming back for sure! I haven't had a bad meal yet until tonight. I ordered chow mein, pancit and fried rice to go. I was told a 30 minute wait. Which seems strange since when I've eaten at the restaurant, my food shows up within five minutes, but I figured on to go orders they want you to go back to the casino at least that's what I think. I waited 35 minutes and checked in and found that my order was sitting behind the counter. I would've thought somebody would've come and told me since they saw my wife and I sitting there The whole time. Nevertheless, the pancit was delicious. The fried rice was very good but not as great as I've had before there but good. The chow mein however was bad. The noodles were stuck together and the flavor was bland like doughy. I was shocked. Excellent Asian cuisine! We had a late dinner after the Teddy Swims concert and both were fabulous. Our entrees were sizzling filet mignon, veggie bbq fried rice, and the Filipino pancit noodle so so good. We will definitely eat here anytime we come to the casino. read more

Delicious hot spicy soup! Mouth watering juicy Peking Duck with crispy skin! Chilled Sake was amazing! Wish we had more than a little bottle!! Lol GREAT price!! My boyfriend loved the chilled Coronas!!! He said one was perfect! The Thunder sushi roll was amazing! I loved the sauce!! We loved the fish- I haven't had one like that in years since I worked at Red Lobster! The orange chicken brought out the b day party girl in me-- after I went dancing-- even my tongue was impressed! I can't believe the perfect mix of freshly breaded chicken and orange sauce mixed to perfection! The different selections of shrimp fried rice are TOO DIE for!!!! I also recommend the spicy sauce added to any of their noodles and you can always add PRAWNS for a few dollars!!! The food was delicious, if you can eat seafood I recommend the seafood fried rice the flavor was not fishy at all.

The food was NOT up to par today. We ordered our favorite Kung Pao chicken as well as the chicken with Chinese broccoli. We requested it to be less oil and less salt. It came with too much oil and Angela (the server) was not very happy when we told her about the oil. Check this picture out yourself and see the oil. Took over 45 minutes to get our meal. The bartender never came back to ask for drinks. We had to ask on multiple occasions where our dinner was. He finally came back after 40 minutes and said there was two orders in front of us. However, people that came in after us were already served and almost done eating.
