    Kung Pao Chicken

We were graciously greeted by some of their team when we arrived at the Restaurant. We utilized their valet and their team was very attentive when we arrived to get us on our way into the resort as soon as possible. It did take some time to get our vehicle back when we were ready to leave, but nothing outrageous. Red Lantern is DELICIOUS! This is my 3rd time here and they have the best Kung Pao Chicken I have ever had. We had a large party of 14, and everything was so good and the service and hospitality of the staff was even better. I myself was not fond of the Kung Pao Shrimp - but others in our party enjoyed it. We ordered many different dishes and the service was top tier. We truly enjoyed our experience at Red Lantern within Thunder Valley.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner and it was delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is big and spacious with lots of seatings and a full bar inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was nice and funny. We ordered and shared family style.. we had the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, salt n pepper crab, ginger scallion lobster, Peking duck with buns, bbq pork chowmein, chicken wings and house fried rice Everything was delicious! My favorite was the Peking Duck and buns! Would Definately come back just for that!

I've been here several times for dinners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of tables and a separate bar area, making it a great option for larger groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're dining with a big party, I recommend ordering double portions of certain dishes, such as the honey walnut prawns. The first time we ordered it, everyone only ended up with one shrimp each! One dish I always make sure to order is the Peking duck. It's not overly fatty, and it pairs perfectly with the buns and onions. The mango coconut cheesecake is also worth trying--it has coconut flakes mixed into the cheesecake, which adds a nice texture and flavor. Service is fast, and we've never had to wait long for our food. The service itself is pretty standard, but the staff are consistently friendly.

I realized I am long overdue for a review of this place. Red Lantern has become our go-to spot for date night dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is fantastic and honestly, the bar area and the main dining room both have great seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tonight we had potstickers, honey walnut prawns and the spicy chicken wings. Everything was spot on and absolutely delicious. I usually always get a lychee martini (which is absolutely great), but I decided to mix it up tonight with a glass of Pinot Grigio, and my husband had a Stella. As always, we were super happy with the attentive service. The staff always make us feel welcome and the quality of the food is great. This is truly a great date spot that we will keep coming back to.

Red Lantern has been our go-to for some time when we visit Thunder Valley. We came again just before a concert at the Venue recently. It was really busy so we are glad we booked a table. Definitely book ahead, especially if there is an event. We like to share some appetizers and fried rice and we did the same as usual. Pot Stickers, Soup Dumplings, and the Yang Chao fried rice. The soup dumplings were definitely the best and our favorite of the night. The Yang Chao fried rice was good, a generous portion that tasted fresh and had lots of shrimp, but it did seem to be lacking somewhat in flavor. We used the chili sauce, and had to keep asking for more - finally the second time they brought us a bigger portion. The pot stickers were fine but probably our least favorite. We definitely left full and food was fine, but the service was not as attentive as usual and it wasn't as great an experience as we're used to. But still worth 4 stars for the consistency and the variety on the menu.

12/11/25- Came down a day early for my son's graduation.. Made reservations and luckily we were seated with a server who had waited on us long ago..(he even remembers our names).. Went with half a duck and the braised tofu and bok choy.. Sooo good when you missed breakfast and lunch! Glad we had a delicious meal!

Reservations for four via OpenTable. Fong was our server and did an amazing job tending to our table. The food arrived and did not disappoint. Great meal and cocktails.

I attended the dinner to promote the gold bar whisky. I enjoyed all the drinks. My favorite was the lychee cocktail. The sashimi and scallop appetizer was so good. The main dish was just okay. The fried rice lacked flavor and only contained a small amount of eggs. The wagyu was overcooked. I enjoyed the flavor and the tenderness of the duck. Although, the sauce was just okay as it was quite sweet for my liking. The dessert was just okay as well as I do not prefer dense chocolate cakes. Overall, this was still a fun experience sampling the whisky mixed drinks.

Picked up the roast duck, Hainan chicken, and pork for a to-go order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nicer sit down restaurant inside the casino if you want an elevated meal vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You'll have to wait a while for seating as it's a popular spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Otherwise, great atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This spot is located inside the Thunder Valley Casino. The wait was 20 mins for dinner. Service is quite swift and the food is above average.

The salt and pepper calamari was really lacking in flavor. Super bland. The mongolian beef had a good tender texture and flavor. Rice is an additional $4. Overall it's just so so

Dining room is cramped. Furniture is uncomfortable crap. There are telephone, electrical, security camera wires dangling from walls and ceilings. The place looks like it was last painted in the early 1970's. I took a peek into the kitchen and storage area and wished that I didn't. It's awful. Looks like a hoarder's storeroom. I tried to use the restroom. The toilet was clogged, water running over the top of the bowl. I don't know the last health department inspection grade, if an inspection has ever occurred. Really, I've eaten at 100's of sketchy cheap eats dives in dozens of developing countries, this place is worse than most of those. Despite the yummy food I don't think I'd return. My spouse and her sister also loved their food but were disappointed with the room.

I didn't know what to expect, but based on the name, I knew I was coming for omakase. Andrew explained what it was, a fusion of Japanese & Mexican cuisine with locally grown ingredients all prepared at the bar. (It appeared that the kitchen was just for dishes & supplies.) He said some things I couldn't translate in my head (not because it wasn't English but because I have trouble hearing), but i knew I wanted Omakase, so confirmed we were going with that. They are very attentive to allergy sensitivity as they asked prior to preparing the meal. Be prepared for the price at 85pp, but it was absolutely delicious. Each 1 of the 6 course meal was a unique blend of the cultural flavors. The staff explains each plate as it comes out in carefully plated presentations. I also had the honey glazed ice cream topped with caviar. Everything was delicious. I was able to walk in but I happen to come in before the dinner rush. I recommend making reservations if you wanted to assure a spot.

It's a very modern, small restaurant, and the bar seating is definitely the focal point of the space, though the overall vibe felt a little cold with minimal decoration. I'd love to come back to try their full omakase experience eventually, but the service was a real letdown. Even though we were the only two people in the restaurant most of the time, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, I said out loud that we were ready to order; the staff including our waitress stopped for a second, looked at us, and then just went back to what they were doing without acknowledging us. It was as if we were on her time, and she was making it clear that she would get to us when she felt like it, not when we were ready. The wait for food was also way too long. Despite being the only ones there, I waited about 40 minutes for my ceviche mixto bowl ($22). For a raw dish that requires no actual cooking, that kind of delay in such a small space is hard to justify. We also had the broiled oysters ($15) and oyster shooters ($5), which were solid. I noticed the drink menu didn't have many sweet cocktail options, so I asked if they could make me a lemon drop instead; and they granted the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The food and drinks are great, but the service and kitchen speed really need to be more attentive to match the quality of the menu.

It's the type of low key establishment you'll find in neighborhoods of many big cities. Their hours good too, especially for folks like us who eat meals at atypical times... with a broad menu available most of the day for whatever you choose. We came with friends and sat outside on the patio for the first time. It was absolutely delightful with a nice cool breeze and just the right outdoor temperature. Coming here for a very late lunch, after 2pm, there weren't many patrons which meant we didn't feel rushed or crowded and settled in for a nice long stay, which was quite fine with the staff and manager who seemingly welcomed it while not needing a table. The back of the menu has lunch specials, available until 3pm. Right under the wire, we ordered. I got the Veggie Sandwich with a side salad and my choice of Italian dressing which came on the side. My salad arrived first and was larger than expected and quite good. I liked the variety of greens and the addition of a couple types of beans, pinto and garbanzo. A very nice hearty and fresh salad. The Veggie Sandwich was delicious with a blend of vegetables, melted cheese and a robust sauce (mayo & mustard). It came warmed on foccacia bread. Being a bit difficult to eat and messy as things slipped out onto the plate an ample amount of paper napkins were provided. They just know and prepared in advance to be asked for some! It was a very enjoyable meal and the only reason for one less star is how mainstream it is as a restaurant, very consistent yet nothing out to have a 'wow', unique factor; which frankly is very OK. We kicked things off with the artichoke dip, which is always a fantastic starter--warm, flavorful, and a perfect way to begin the evening. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and made a substitution to linguine instead of potatoes, which turned out to be a great call. The dish was well-prepared and satisfying. The only slight question mark for me was the sweetness of the sauce--it had a different flavor profile than I've experienced elsewhere--but it was still very good (I cleaned the plate). My brother went with the Italian calzone, served in three generous portions, and he absolutely loved it. The marinara sauce deserves a mention on its own--rich, well-balanced, and a great complement to the dish. My wife stuck with her usual Pasta Toscana (no surprises there), and as always, it delivered. It's a consistently excellent dish and clearly a favorite for a reason. My sister-in-law really enjoyed the gnocchi, and my nephew, who's vegetarian, was very pleased with the Eggplant Parmesan--he said it was flavorful and hit the spot. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. We dine here regularly and enjoy working our way through the menu, trying something new each visit...well, most of us do. All in all, another great experience.
