4/3/2026 I wanted crispy tacos. I was told the tacos only come with shredded meat and deep fried (like at Jack in the Box). Wow! My friend ordered some kind of fish taco plate. I also ordered a taco salad to go. The salad was to have no beans. We sat and waited for our meal. When they came, the fried beans were bone cold. I took the whole plate up to the front counter and explained that the beans were cold. Everyone behind the counter just stood and looked at the plate. One man said, "cold?" I said, "Yes, cold". I couldn't understand what he didn't understand. He spoke fluent English. Everyone was still just standing and looking lost. The young man turned slightly and pointed while saying, "They came out of there". Where he was pointing, I had no idea. I said, "Wherever they came from, they're cold". By this time, I'm through with the game, I turn and walk away with the plate, sit down at the table and scrape the beans to the side. A person comes and sets a small bowl of beans on the table. They weren't much better. Garbage! Next ..... I've never had white mushy rice with Mexican food. I pushed that to the side. It was awful! We decided to pack it up and leave. Next ... The taco salad had almost a cup of black on the bottom. The bottom of the shell was saturated. Don't they know, a salad should have lettuce. There was enough lettuce for 3 burgers. I'm talking McDonald's type of burgers, so you know it wasn't much. Maybe a cup at most, and it was shredded so, it was sprinkled over the top of the beans and covered with at least a cup of cheese. There was a few chopped olives and tomatoes. The meat was old, dry and tasteless . What a tragedy! I even went and spoke with some casino employees. They said it wasn't a good place to eat. This is the first time I've written a negative review. My friend suggested that I go get my money back but I'm too grossed out. While visiting Thunder Valley Casino i decided to stop and grab a bite to eat at Dos Coyotes. I've never been to this location but I absolutely love their food. This food didn't taste as good as the stand alone restaurants. While I was eating my meal, a roach ran across the floor and touched my foot. It was absolutely disgusting! That's when I looked around and really noticed this location wasn't as clean as I know their chain to be. The staff were kind but the place felt dirty. I know damn well that isn't the only roach in that restaurant! I left my food and didn't request a refund. I'd rather the County inspect the place. Yuck! read more

A nice option in the casino, typically pretty fast and normally decent food, while kind of a step above fast-food level. Last visit, however, I learned to avoid the fish tacos. Oops. Asked for the Mahi Mahi and what I received was two French-fry sized pieces of very gray, smelly, thawed and unpleasant tasting something. Standard yummy grubs from Dos Coyotes that one would expect, with the exception of both burritos ordered were wrapped in such a way that you take a few bites and you're eating all meat, next bite? All beans... end of the burrito is pure guacamole. They must have wrapped it sideways. I was pleased with the wait time for both ordering and receiving food. There were patrons dining but the kitchen was well staffed so things moved quickly. Everything tasted great, even if... separately. read more

Ordered the Mahi Mahi Burrito with chips and it was okay. You can barely see the fish inside the burrito. It was mostly rice. Chips on the side were stale so I asked for another tray of chips which they obliged. Servers were really very nice and accommodating. Negative 1 for my review: I had a very disappointing customer service experience at this establishment while playing poker and ordering food at the table. I simply asked the employee for a pair of disposable gloves so I could eat without getting my hands messy while playing. Instead of just providing them, the employee told me they had to ask the manager Rufino first. I found that surprising since disposable gloves cost only a few cents and are a basic sanitary item. The manager eventually came over and seemed reluctant about the request, saying that no one usually asks for gloves. My response was simple just because it's not common doesn't mean it's unreasonable. Many restaurants, including burger places, sandwich shops, and cafés, provide gloves or similar accommodations without hesitation. For a casino environment where players are eating while handling chips and cards, accommodating a simple hygiene request should not be an issue. What disappointed me most was the attitude and lack of customer service over such a small request. I hope management reviews their policies and trains staff to handle simple customer requests with more flexibility and professionalism. Came to Thunder Valley for a concert with my daughter. Decided to try Dos Coyotes before the concert started. Everyone was friendly behind the counter. Loved the menu choices. Plenty of seating. The staff who brought out the meals were great, too! High quality food. Everyone else's orders that were being brought to them looks so good, too! I'm not a huge rice fan, however, their rice was delicious!! Definitely will come back. read more

This place easily beats all the food court offerings and is more affordable and better value than some of the other fancier restaurants on site. Got a seafood burrito with both charbroiled shrimp and mahi mahi fish which had a somewhat sweet marinade, minus the guac, and I was lovin it! Flavorful fish, succulent shrimp... it was simply mmm mmm good. My friend had the navajo nachos with chicken, also without the guac, and it was a generous plate full of crunchy tortilla chips and melted cheese. I tried some, and it was yummy. They definitely serve some delicious bites here. Add to that a clean, casual, and inviting setting (with seating that filled up in the evening on concert day), helpful and professional staff, and an extensive menu that has something for everyone, this is my top choice for having a meal at Thunder Valley. read more

But for the options in Thunder Valley, this isn't a bad choice if you pick it. This is more along the lines like Rubio, Baja Fresh, etc. I've got food here several times and they've always been consistent. Their green salsa has a sweetness to it. The red one I don't like too much. The pico de gallo was fine. I've had tacos and burritos here ranging from chicken, steak, and shrimp. Never had a problem or questioned the freshness of the food. I see why as you don't want non-paying customers digging into it which is fine if they didn't charge you .50 cents extra per cup beyond your two free. I thought they charged more than the regular but found it was minimal. A steak burrito here is $15.50 vs 14.50. The service staff in general has been friendly. There is table seating and the restaurant is fairly big. It is a nice alternative for a quick bite vs. the food court IF you can catch them when they are open. VERY limited hours! I wanted to have lunch there on a Saturday only to find that they don't open until 4pm! You'd think they would be open all day on the weekends! but they are not. Ordered mahi-mahi tacos and a taco salad. The mahi-mahi tacos had about 1/4 oz of fish on them, then were loaded with mango and coleslaw. There was no way to taste the fish. The taco salad came with ingredients not listed on the menu. First time it came loaded with olives (not my thing- if I'd known they were on the salad I'd have told them to leave them off - but they're not listed in the ingredients). The second time it came loaded with cold corn kernels (also not listed, and not my favorite thing) which also was not on the first one that had olives in it. I was starting to feel like a Karen at this point so I picked around the corn to get the other stuff. The shell was stale and inedible. Counter service: I had a two-for-one coupon, and plenty of casino comps. I handed both to the cashier. First she says it's $40-something. Then she says it's $20-something because she forgot the 2-for-1. Finally she says "oh wait, yeah, the comps. Yeah it's free". When I returned with the olive salad she immediately announced that I wanted to talk to the manager. I did not. I just asked if they would remake it without the surprise olives. Very disappointing. This restaurant is located in the Thunder Valley Casino. We come to the casino often to keep my elderly father entertained. Most of the time we come early in the day and work up an appetite, but many of the eateries aren't open until 4:00pm. This time we made a point of staying longer so we could eat at Dos Coyotes Border Cafe. They actually have several menu selections that my sister can eat that won't give her a food allergy reaction. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, (such as corn tortillas) for the dietary restricted. I ordered the roasted garlic & spinach quesadilla with a root beer, my sister got the Tres Taco Basket: 3 tacos, no meat, rice & black beans. My dad and brother-in law each got the Taco El Carbon: Two soft tacos with choice of meat, lettuce & cheese. We all shared chips and salsa. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and commented that these franchises always have a dependable, varied menu selection in which the food is consistently good. Husband, friends and I use our Players card at Thunder Valley casino which often allows us to get two meals for $15- a pretty good deal these days. And for the money, the food is pretty good. The cheese enchiladas are VERY delicious and are a generous portion (standard portion), and the meal comes with your choice of black beans or refried and Spanish rice. I also request a side of sour cream. I also enjoy all varieties of their taco plates. The service is SUPER FAST SO DON'T LET THE LONG LINES ON THURSDAYS FOOL YA! And the employees are very friendly. I got there on a Friday night at 6 PM, and there was also a show that evening in the new performing arts venue. When I got there, I was about halfway between the door and the register. By the time, I sat down, (The seating area is very large ) the line was out the door and down the casino. Just a heads up. The line did move quickly. I got to the register, and I was going to order the mahi-mahi burrito, which I absolutely love. She was nice enough to tell me that the mahi-mahi burrito would take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, because it would've taken a while to cook the fish. I appreciate her telling me that. Instead, I ordered the Yolo mango chicken burrito. I sat down, and my food came quickly. The burrito was delicious! Tender chicken breast, avocado, veggies, and a mango salsa that was not spicy It also came with some chips on the side, which were crunchy and delicious. not greasy at all. I love their chips. It came with three different salsas on the side. . The two red salsa's were way beyond my heat level. The green salsa was a little bit sweet and right up to the edge of what I can handle spicy. First time and had the salmon burrito. It was DELICIOUS! my 7 year old son who doesn't eat burritos normally finished almost half. They wrap it in a 13in wrap so the portion was pretty large. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the wrap wasn't hard to chew and there was salmon with every bite. It was wrapped proportionately which sometimes taquerias seem to fail at and it's a guessing game which end to eat first lol Will definitely come back for the salmon burrito. Might I add the service here is phenomenal. We asked for extra chips and salsa and the female server (I should have asked her name, I think she's the Filipina girl), was so attentive. She gave us a bag of extra chips with a bag of extra salsa and she refilled my drink more than twice. She was so friendly and such a joy to interact with. The entire staff at the cash register were all very nice and friendly with a smile on their faces. I felt bad I refilled my drink over and over as we just got into town and was parched. I had some chips and a variety of salsas as an appetizer. The chips were warm and crispy. The salsas were fresh, sweet, and spicy. Yes they have a sweet salsa which is unique and worth a try. My entree was a crunchy, colorful Yucatan Chicken Salad. It was loaded with fresh crispy vegetables and topped with some perfectly grilled chicken. It was tossed with a Southwest vinaigrette dressing and the topped with a chipotle cream sauce. Two dressings! Who else does that? Everything was piled on top of a fresh tortilla which doubles as a wrap if you happen to have leftovers. Which is very likely with a salad this large after some chips and salsa. Food quality is consistent with standalone locations, with friendly customer service and ambiance within the restaurant area, but it should be noted that unlike most of their other locations, this location doesn't have a condiment bar. Could be something added in future, but surely was disappointing on our first visit. Make sure to pickup, or use, both Thunder Valley Rewards card and Dos Coyotes purchases rewards card. After another stamps, you'll earn yourself a free appetizer. Quality and portions of the food were consistent with other locations, while the real hero here is the service. I have eaten here twice inside Thunder Valley. I actually never tried this restaurant til this year. My 1st & 2nd time was in June of 2023. I love how they make their rice w/the flavors and texture. Taste soO good in their burrito and on the side when ordering shrimp tacos. I love their sweet salsa that goes well with the shrimp or fish. Definitely get that salsa if U like little sweet & tangy. Their store clean and their customer service is great! You go in line, U order when it's time for you to come up next at the register and U bring a number to where U sit then get the food brought to U. I like how their nachos taste as well. I still have yet to try more of their dishes. So far I love how their food tastes and I love how their also open late, especially since I am more of a night owl, this is convenient to go eat at. I feel like this restaurant is now the new spot to go to since there is no more buffet and Café is mid. The restaurant has some TV monitors in the restaurant, which can be convenient if you want to see what's on the monitor, especially for sports. I'm impressed!! I consider myself a usual at the Douglas location so I was prepared to make a comparison. The seating really amazed me, it's big, clean, & there are a lot of nice colorful decor. I ordered what I usually get (Yucatán Chicken Salad) & I find that there is a lack of dressing on it. I think the prices are slightly raised, but if you have a Thunder Valley Membership you get 5% back(?) They have a really nice salsa bar. Their green sauce is more creamier than watery which I favored. Note that they don't have a self-serve fountain drink station... which I assume is because of people going inside to fill up cups. Overall, I like the location given that the other Dos Coyotes is across town... I will be coming here more often since they have later hours. read more
