A nice option in the casino, typically pretty fast and normally decent food, while kind of a step above fast-food level. Last visit, however, I learned to avoid the fish tacos. Oops. Asked for the Mahi Mahi and what I received was two French-fry sized pieces of very gray, smelly, thawed and unpleasant tasting something. I took off all the so-called fish and ate the tacos as avocado veggie tacos, that had flavor and no bad smell.

Fast service and decent food for a casino restaurant. If you want something faster than a nice restaurant but something g slower than fast food it's a good choice . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is good and there's lots of seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ordered the Mahi Mahi Burrito with chips and it was okay. You can barely see the fish inside the burrito. It was mostly rice. Chips on the side were stale so I asked for another tray of chips which they obliged. Servers were really very nice and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant didn't have a lot of people, considering it was a Sunday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came to Thunder Valley for a concert with my daughter. Decided to try Dos Coyotes before the concert started. Everyone was friendly behind the counter. Loved the menu choices. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff who brought out the meals were great, too! High quality food. Everyone else's orders that were being brought to them looks so good, too! I'm not a huge rice fan, however, their rice was delicious!! Definitely will come back.

This eatery is located along the right side, next to Peet's Coffee, if entering the Thunder Valley lobby and casino from the parking garage. This place easily beats all the food court offerings and is more affordable and better value than some of the other fancier restaurants on site. Got a seafood burrito with both charbroiled shrimp and mahi mahi fish which had a somewhat sweet marinade, minus the guac, and I was lovin it! Flavorful fish, succulent shrimp... it was simply mmm mmm good. My friend had the navajo nachos with chicken, also without the guac, and it was a generous plate full of crunchy tortilla chips and melted cheese. I tried some, and it was yummy. They definitely serve some delicious bites here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Add to that a clean, casual, and inviting setting (with seating that filled up in the evening on concert day), helpful and professional staff, and an extensive menu that has something for everyone, this is my top choice for having a meal at Thunder Valley.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I like Dos im general But this one's located in the Thunder valley casino and not as good as a regular standalone because they do not have the Salsa Bar. I see why as you don't want non-paying customers digging into it which is fine if they didn't charge you .50 cents extra per cup beyond your two free. I thought they charged more than the regular but found it was minimal. A steak burrito here is $15.50 vs 14.50. The service staff in general has been friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is table seating and the restaurant is fairly big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a nice alternative for a quick bite vs. the food court IF you can catch them when they are open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] VERY limited hours! I wanted to have lunch there on a Saturday only to find that they don't open until 4pm! You'd think they would be open all day on the weekends! but they are not. Food quality is the same as any other Dos.

Taco salad LOADED with corn not listed on the menu.

Ordered mahi-mahi tacos and a taco salad. The mahi-mahi tacos had about 1/4 oz of fish on them, then were loaded with mango and coleslaw. There was no way to taste the fish. The taco salad came with ingredients not listed on the menu. First time it came loaded with olives (not my thing- if I'd known they were on the salad I'd have told them to leave them off - but they're not listed in the ingredients). The second time it came loaded with cold corn kernels (also not listed, and not my favorite thing) which also was not on the first one that had olives in it. I was starting to feel like a Karen at this point so I picked around the corn to get the other stuff. The shell was stale and inedible. Counter service: I had a two-for-one coupon, and plenty of casino comps. I handed both to the cashier. First she says it's $40-something. Then she says it's $20-something because she forgot the 2-for-1. Finally she says "oh wait, yeah, the comps. Yeah it's free". When I returned with the olive salad she immediately announced that I wanted to talk to the manager. I did not. I just asked if they would remake it without the surprise olives. Very disappointing. Should have gone to the food court.

This restaurant is located in the Thunder Valley Casino. We come to the casino often to keep my elderly father entertained. Most of the time we come early in the day and work up an appetite, but many of the eateries aren't open until 4:00pm. This time we made a point of staying longer so we could eat at Dos Coyotes Border Cafe. They actually have several menu selections that my sister can eat that won't give her a food allergy reaction. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, (such as corn tortillas) for the dietary restricted. I ordered the roasted garlic & spinach quesadilla with a root beer, my sister got the Tres Taco Basket: 3 tacos, no meat, rice & black beans. My dad and brother-in law each got the Taco El Carbon: Two soft tacos with choice of meat, lettuce & cheese. We all shared chips and salsa. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and commented that these franchises always have a dependable, varied menu selection in which the food is consistently good. We will be returning here again for dinner, (unless the slot machines take all of our money)!

One less entree we probably could have finished it all. My total came to 72 no drinks and a $17 credit for being a rewards member. The rest i paid using my comps. Food was generally good but I have had better for less. Service was actually better this time and came by enough where I wasn't looking around for help. I say it's worth a try! It's a good thing that we bought a side of broccolini. I can't really say much about the Filet Mignon. With a price tag of $78, it was not worth it. What made the Mother's Day experience memorable was the staff from the greeter to the person that sat us, and the waiter and server (Rachel and John I think) were all pleasant and welcoming and made us feel like they were doing their part to make our experience a memorable one. My lobster corn chowder tasted nothing like corn or chowder....just bacon flavor overpowering the taste..and it would have been nice to have actual lobster in it. The meatballs were served with a polenta "sauce.." not really a polenta. While tasty, I would think for $20, the meatballs would be served warm. Not a good start .. Then, the steaks and sides. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly....but perhaps some seasoning next time? I essentially used the gorgonzola mashed potatoes as a "sauce." Kind of "scammy" to have flavorless steaks, and then charge $10-$20 for various steak sauce and toppings. Lastly, the creamed spinach. Again, man...some seasoning would be amazing. Spinach mixed with cream....and "liquid" cream (lack of presentation?) was not worth $20. The server was good and attentive, so props to her. Why a 2? If I'm going to spend $280, it needs to taste better then someone getting yelled at by Ramsay on a Hells Kitchen episode. Would NOT recommend for a special occasion....until they get the basics right to warrant them charging that much.

Even though we were the only two people in the restaurant most of the time, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, I said out loud that we were ready to order; the staff including our waitress stopped for a second, looked at us, and then just went back to what they were doing without acknowledging us. It was as if we were on her time, and she was making it clear that she would get to us when she felt like it, not when we were ready. The wait for food was also way too long. Despite being the only ones there, I waited about 40 minutes for my ceviche mixto bowl ($22). For a raw dish that requires no actual cooking, that kind of delay in such a small space is hard to justify. We also had the broiled oysters ($15) and oyster shooters ($5), which were solid. I noticed the drink menu didn't have many sweet cocktail options, so I asked if they could make me a lemon drop instead; and they granted the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The food and drinks are great, but the service and kitchen speed really need to be more attentive to match the quality of the menu.

The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

When we arrived on a Monday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we expected attentive service. We were seated, our server came over for drinks, and we let him know we were celebrating my aunt's birthday. This restaurant usually has a nice way of acknowledging birthdays, so we were looking forward to that, but it never happened. We ordered the lobster bites, and they were outstanding as always. My mom, who is allergic to seafood, started feeling a little nauseous from the smell and asked our server for some lemons. He walked away, and we never saw him again. After waiting for quite a while, we asked another server, who brought them over immediately. Our salads and soup were delivered by a food runner, and once again, our server was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to flag down the manager just to have our appetizer and soup plates cleared from the table. Our entrees arrived, the server asked how everything was, and then disappeared again. The next time we saw him was when he dropped off the check. What made it even more frustrating was watching him repeatedly check on, laugh with, and chat with the table behind us while barely acknowledging ours. We completely understand that restaurants get busy and servers can get overwhelmed, but that didn't seem to be the case here. For a $300 dinner for four people at an upscale restaurant, I expected a much higher level of service. The manager did remove our desserts from the bill, and I appreciate that gesture, but I honestly felt more should have been done once it was clear how neglected our table had been. The biggest disappointment is that the food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was delicious, which made the lack of service stand out even more. This has always been one of my favorite locations, so I truly hope this was just an off night. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and didn't reflect the level of service I've come to expect from this restaurant.

The food definitely made up for it, and I'd come back. Just hoping for a more organized service experience next time

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.
