The restaurant has a vast assortment of rolls, Chinese dishes, and hibachi (but they do not cook in front of you). Beer selection is meager at best and served from bottles only. Food is always great, just as their service. The seating is nice with booths, a giant boat with chair-seating, and a back area with additional chair-seating (best for larger parties over 7+ people). I've been going here for yearsssss and love their hot & sour soup and sushi rolls. Their food, sushi & kitchen, is always made to order. Never the so-called premade, re-heated, bs that other reviews suggest. Including their fried rice. This is also why so some food may take longer to make/be ready at time of pick up. They make the food in the order they receive it via ticket. I'd rather my food be made fresh, and in the order that the ticket of my order comes through to the kitchen, than premade and boxed. Also "extra crispy" just means it's cooked longer... the natural nature of togo condensation will obviously make any " crispy" (extra fried/cooked) food just as "soggy" or whatever. We've gotten food to go from Red Fish several times and it's been great! Tonight's experience was awful. We placed a to-go order that was to be picked up at approx. 6:30. My husband waited an HOUR in store for 3 sushi rolls. When he inquired about our order, since it was then 7:15. The to-go server said to him "We're busy. Why don't you go back there and work?" ...that was the response to a frequent customer trying to understand the wait time for an order placed at 6:10, and it was at that point 7:15. Won't ever be back due to the service and attitude. Such a bummer. May want to invest in some front end training. read more

It's been a while since I've eaten at this establishment, so since I had a taste for fried rice, this place would be my place to stop today. In my opinion, the taste and quality of Red Fish's food has diminished considerably. Today I ordered the General Tso's chicken lunch special. It included fried rice (or what should have been fried rice) and an egg roll. I'd asked that they make the chicken extra crispy because this was takeout and i didn't want the chicken too soft by the time I arrived home. Not only was the chicken not extra crispy, the rice seemed to be just an ordinary "out of the pouch" "heat-n-eat" rice. The chicken was much too chewy and seemed to have been microwaved. The have forgotten our orders about 3 times now. Tonight though was the real loser. Placed our order online and when we got there 30 minutes later, the order had not made it to the kitchen. Bad systems in place. We waited another 30 minutes and when the food finally left the kitchen, we were asked to pay full price after our 1 hour wait. I told the lady that wasn't right and she offered a 10% discount after telling me that I was wrong about my order times, that I hadn't waited very long, and that it was an employee's fault. I don't usually write bad reviews, but just wanted to inform everyone since I gave them a glowing review a few years ago! They were really good for over 10 years but something has drastically changed in the kitchen. We tried eating in on a Friday night, hostess was great, server was great, restaurant was clean (a little cluttered), but all our dishes were "off"! My favorite sushi 40 kel was a little "funky" and we didn't finish it, my husband's favorite dish was not good. A lady sitting close to us returned soup that was way too salty. We thought it was odd since they have always been delicious, so today we tried a "to go" order. They took our order correctly and their customer service was great, but the food was Awful!! I never write reviews ever but I do read them. Wish I had taken the time to do so prior to ordering at Red Fish. This use to be my family's goto place. Was always clean, food was fresh and the staff was enthusiastic. It changed little by little for the worse over the years and when other area sushi choice evolved we migrated to them. Granted I went in about 3pm and I know for many places this is a potentially bad time slot to expect the best in service but food served should always be consistent regardless of the time of day or level of patrons. I hate to say it because I hate being negative about anyone's business and don't wish any to fail but I fear this place is one plate away from causing a health hazard. Ingredients were obviously pre-prepped to a point of gross and potentially over day old. I strongly urge anyone thinking about choosing to eat here, NOT! At least not until there is a drastic managerial and staff change or some new ownership takes the helm. It has been in decline for so long now it may possibly be pass the point of return in terms of food but could possibly serve well as a front for a yakuza money laundering operation. read more

All right f their dishes were plated professionally and the inside was a very upscale restaurant. At this location the staff was very nice and didn't mind helping each other. We go here at least once a week and I have been known to go more often as our house is just 2 miles away. Never had any waits for service but then we are both local and regular regulars. We usually can be found in one of the back booths not in the boat. My husband usually orders a wide variety of sushi, one of their tiny salads and sweet and sour soup. I order from either the Japanese or Chinese side from teriyaki to hibachi to early bird tempura specials to my favorite of all garlic shrimp with vegetable fried rice and extra egg. Much better than average Chinese food and an extensive sushi selection. I Han House special fried rice with beef, shrimp and chicken. Very tasty and enough for 2 meals. We both had the crab puffs appetizer and enjoyed it. Maybe a little light on the crab but well cooked and nicely done. My husband had the General T'sos chicken and really enjoyed. Stopped in at 8:45 to place a takeout order. The sign on the door said "open", the hours on the door, website, and google all listed 9:30 as closing time. There were several people eating in the restaurant. When I asked to place an order, I was told they were closed. I inquired as to why they were closed when their posted hours stated a 9:30 closing time, and was told that they are only open until 9:30 on weekends. I pointed out the open sign on the door and explained that posted hours in 3 different locations as well as on the "to go" menu (which I showed the employee) stated that closing time is 9:30pm Monday -Thursday and 10:30pm on weekends. The response I got was an embarrassed smile and nothing more. I honestly have no idea if they were truly closed or just didn't want to work but I was not able to place an order and was pretty cranky about wasting the trip there and back. read more
