Was in the area looking for a dessert place and found this one highly recommend online. I was excited to see gluten free options and a lot of unique small cakes and baked goods. I got the tiramisu cheesecake for my husband and I got a gluten free spiced carrot cake muffin. The staff was not the most friendly but the baked goods were so good that I will be returning to check out more of the menu. They did seem to have a good amount of seating and it was quiet when I went so this would be a great place for a date or quiet place to study.

Turtle cheesecake was yummy but the bread pudding omg one star removed because the two girls working weren't friendly.

I got mixed up with shop across the street and came in asking for loaves of bread... this is not the spot for that (unless it's the holidays -the staff said they sometimes offer loaves around then) I'm glad I got mixed up because it gave me an excuse for a sweet treat. Small coffee pastry stop vibe. I got a pan du chocolate and a banana pudding. Both worth getting again.

Loved the red velvet oreo brownie ! Cupcakes were pretty good as well. Lemon blueberry and chocolate) Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Ambiance: 4/5 Noise level Quiet, easy to talk Parking is very limited so you may have to walk more than expected if there are no available spots.

This was my first time at this location on 34th street. I did not preorder but wanted to just see what they had for my husbands birthday. I wanted a simple, small cake, even a cupcake to celebrate the day. The place is so cute with lots of little seating areas and a nice area outside. The cakes available were cute , I decided on the lemon blueberry. The other choice was confetti. What a great choice, the cake was small but huge at the same time. It serves 8 but 8 TALL slices. It was cold and so delicious once heated for a few seconds. They had muffins, cupcakes and cookies. The ladies were nice and offered to write a message - 3 lines only so I went with the basic Happy birthday.

One of our new favorite spots in Houston for coffee and pastries! Vibe: Cool cafe with a modern farmhouse vibe. Lots of natural wood throughout and some vintage cabinets give this place a warm and cozy charm. Outside wall has some cool art. Good amount of space and seating inside. Service: Baristas were very kind and helpful, gave us some great recommendations. They knew their coffee too. Food: We ordered a matcha latte, drip coffee, and red velvet oreo bar. The matcha latte was creamy and earthy, just the right amount of sweetness. Tasted like quality matcha powder as we could taste the extra depth and umami. Drip coffee was good, it was a dark roast Ethiopian coffee. Notes of plum, nuts, and dark chocolate. The red velvet oreo bar was outstanding and worth the visit alone. Moist, dense, and full of white chocolate chips and bits of oreo. There's also flecks of salt throughout which really gave the dessert some punches of flavor! Cannot recommend it enough. Red Dessert Dive is definitely Let's Eat Houston approved.

Cute little bakery in the heights. We came late...around 730 pm and they still had a decent selection. We got the last two banana puddings...the counter girl encouraged us to get the last one when we ordered one serving. Twist our arms. My husband ate the pudding and said it was excellent albeit a smaller portion size for the price. Lots of bananas and super creamy. I got the chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. The edges were crunchy and the center was soft with lots of chocolate chunks. The touch of salt on top brought it all together. I also got chocolate chip bread pudding to eat later at home. What an enjoyable bakery for a late night dessert.

I'm such a fan of Red! It was dangerously close to my daughter's previous daycare, and I frequently would stop in on my way to work for a coffee and pastry. I've also ordered cakes for a party, and they turned out so well! if you have the luxury of an afternoon off, think about going with some friends and treating yourself to their high tea.

It's a really nice and quaint coffee shop, and the staff is really friendly! My friend and I ordered a few of their pastries and coffee. I highly recommend getting their banana pudding. It was really well balanced with a ton of bananas, cream, and wafers! I also love thumbprint cookies, and I thought that theirs were pretty good as well. I don't recommend getting their coffee with almond milk because mine tasted really watery, but my friend's vanilla bean latte with whole milk was okay. I don't think this is a great place for coffee, but their pastries are good and there's a ton of variety to choose from. The barista was really nice and made sure we got the correct drinks with the correct milk replacements.

Stopped by this cute lil bakery after bbq since we couldn't get banana pudding at pinkertons bc they sold out. So glad we got to visit, as I had never heard of this dessert shop before. They had a lot to offer from their cakes, cookies, banana pudding, brownies to their sandwiches, coffees, and teas. We got a banana pudding and a strawberry blondie for around $11 in total. The banana pudding was creamy, light, and had just the right amount of sweetness to it with the perfect blend of flavors between the banana and vanilla. I also saw vanilla beans throughout the scoops! The strawberry blondie was amazing!!! It was super moist, and not one bit of it was dry. They had white chocolate chips and dried strawberries dispersed in the blondie. The addition of the strawberries really enhanced it. The blondie itself was buttery, lightly salty & lightly sweet. The cream cheese frosting paired well as a whole with the blondie but can be a little overwhelming. The employee up front was super warm and welcoming! The vibes inside were chill and cozy- it'd be an ideal place to chat with friends. The parking lot is SMALL, but I'm sure there are other alternatives to parking in the area. Highly recommend this place!!

The banana pudding here is so good! Not too sweet and the wafers are still crisp. The bread pudding was a little too sweet for my taste, but was still yummy. There's minimal parking, but you can always street park.

It's average at best. Not bad but the pastries lean more sugary than balanced on buttery. Wouldn't go back again, but wasn't bad. Just okay

Do they make special orders? I'm interested in a strawberry lemonade cake with a fresh strawberry icing

Yes! I had a custom cake for my birthday this year. If you send them an email with what you're wanting, they'll work with you to try to create what you want. They do get a lot of orders though so the earlier you make your request the better.

Do they put bananas in the banana pudding?

    Yes!

When my friend made the reservation, she received an email encouraging customers to visit the tasting room before or after dinner. We showed up an hour early to visit the tasting room, however the host had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they weren't doing tastings. Luckily, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We initially had a table that was not near a heat lamp, however an employee came over and let us know that we could switch to a table near the heat lamp which was appreciated because it was chilly. Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! It seems like there are quite a few businesses around town that are closing. I'm sad to see Mutiny go, but I'm glad my friend and I got to dine in on their final night.

"Closing time, you don't have to go home But you can't stay…read morehere." - Semisonic I have lived in the loop for 5 years now, and I'm sad to say that I finally tried Mutiny on their last day. I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. So nice!! I'm glad we got to try them on their last day. Bon voyage, Mutiny.

The place was dimly lit and there was a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor. A lot of the seating inside was arranged as couches with low tables, which made for a very casual and relaxing vibe, while the overall atmosphere remained very classy. - Padre's Hotdog (4.5/5): I was told by my friend that this was the best hotdog ever so I had very high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. The bread was very buttery and nicely toasted. The frank itself was very juicy and I loved how the pico and mustard help cut through the fat. The thing that made this hotdog stand out was the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was delicious and I could probably have just eaten that alone. One thing though, the hotdogs were a bit on the smaller size, you probably would have to order something else or a second hotdog if you were hungry. Would come back again just for this hotdog! Parking/Service: There was a small lot on the side of the building, but other than that you might have to street park in the neighborhood right next to it. The ordering system was a bit of a surprise for me. You have to walk in to the bar and order there.
