We needed a backyard fence installed to contain our recent rescue dog adoptee. Called three different fence companies, and Red Cedar gave the lowest estimate. That, plus the excellent reviews on Yelp led us to sign a contract with them. 6 weeks later, they installed a beautiful 4' dog ear picket style fence (to match our neighbor's) in one day! They somehow managed to "thread the needle" of multiple buried utility cables in our easement along the back property line, and had to remove a few tree branches that were in the way. We had expected them to have to jog inward with the fence to avoid the clump of trees. Looks so much better this way! We had three gates installed, including one that is extra wide for the landscapers' stand-up mowers. They did have to come back (the same week) to tweak a few things, and convert a fixed fence segment to a removable one (held in with four slide bolts), as it was too close to the front of a ComEd utility box. This will allow the ComEd technicians to move the whole fence segment out of the way, in order to open the hinged box lid and do their work. Ruben and his crew did nice work and cleaned up everything, including the branches they took down. Highly recommended!l read more

Great experience from start to finish! Extremely responsive, neat and professional. Jerry answered my inquiry immediately and received a quote the same day. Jerry made sure we got our permit in time for the job to run smoothly. Crew finished the job in less than a day and we have a beautiful perfectly constructed fence. Fence is built on site not prefab. Recommend Red Cedar Fence to my sister and they will be building her fence in a couple weeks. Thank you for a job well done! read more

I am so impressed with the beautiful fence that was installed by this company. As I go through my neighborhood I have yet to see one as beautiful. The guys who installed it were very careful with my garden and stone work. Also , when they stained it weeks later, they took great care to stay away from my new siding and shrubbery. The price was very fair. I would highly recommend Red Cedar Fence to anyone, and already have. Thank you for making my yard even more beautiful. read more

I wouldn't hesitate a second to hire this company. From start to finish they were amazing. I interacted with 3 employees who were all very personable and professional. An absolutely incredible experience from the beginning until the end of the fence project. Jerry immediately responded to my inquiry for a quote and helped me work through the complexities of Mount Prospect's fence requirements for a corner lot and stayed in great communication through completion. The price was reasonable and the installation crew was very careful when disassembling the old fence and putting up the new fence. The installation was timely and matched what I was told at the beginning. Stop looking at other fence installers and hire Red Cedar Fence! read more

Every aspect of our relationship with Red Cedar Fence exceeded expectations. Jerry is extremely proactive with his communication and made sure we were on the same page every step of the process. We got the measurements, and estimates done in January and as soon as the weather broke, we got our fence installed. The crew that came out were nice, professional and knowledgeable. They worked fast and the finished product is extremely high quality. I will recommend Red Cedar Fence to anyone I know that is looking for a fence in the area. read more

Excellent customer service! Red Cedar Fence fixed a post and panel that snapped off during the derecho winds Chicago experienced. Called for an estimate and Jerry asked for pictures and was able to provide estimate on the phone, where other companies wanted 3 weeks lead time for just an estimate. We agreed to do the work with them and they said they would try to come out within the next 2 weeks. To our delight they came 2 days later and took care of it promptly. They removed the old post, added a new cedar post, re-cemented and re-attached the panels. Wish all companies were this pleasant and efficient. read more

This is a long over due review. Where do I start? Ruben and his team were professionals from start to finish. From the moment they came to do an estimate (Jerry is a great guy! Jerry even came to city hall with me to get the permits!)to the last day of the job. Ruben was very competitive with his estimate. It was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive quote I got from the several companies I had do an estimate for the work needed. This is for about 250 feet X 6ft tall traditional fencing. It was mostly Ruben and Guillermo that did the work. They took down the existing chain link fence, a couple of big shrubs and cleaned up and disposed of existing trash around the fence line for no additional charges. All of the other companies were going to charge me extra $$$ just to take out the shrubs. Ruben and Guillermo put up a beautiful fence. I also had Ruben stain and seal the fence after a couple weeks. Very professional and Ruben's attention to detail is excellent! I am a very happy customer and I will recommend Ruben and his company to anyone who wants a strong beautiful fence. Thanks Ruben! read more

Everything about my experience with Red Cedar Fence was exceptional! Jerry (sales) was attentive, easy to work with and very responsive. Ruben came to my home within a day and gave me a thorough explanation of what work needed to be done. He provided a competitive estimate right on the spot. The work was done as soon as the weather cooperated. Ruben and his crew were amazing. They were efficient and organized, taking great care not to disturb the landscaping/flowers and cleaning up completely! I was very impressed. A few weeks after they competed the work, I called about a minor adjustment that needed to be made. They came and fixed the issue the very next day. I will definitely refer Red Cedar Fence to all my friends and neighbors. Thank you! read more

Ruben and his crew installed our fence over two years ago and it still looks great. Our yard has a lot of peaks and valleys and despite the variations, the fence was perfectly installed with quality materials. No warping or splitting. Ruben was very accommodating and he understood the need to keep our three pups secure and and went the extra mile to make sure that there were no gaps or weak spots. Their prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend them. We plan to use them again to install a fence at my parents house later this year. read more
