From the time I called for an estimate, chose our fencing style, received our quote, accepted quote, applied for permit, put down deposit, fence installed, inspected, roughly 30 days passed from start to finish. Open communication on the part of all employees at Advanced Fence & Gate and Village of Mount Prospect (the Village has expedited the permitting process) installation was smooth even though Omar and his crew had to keep ducking rain showers to complete the job on the 2nd day. This is the 2nd time in 5 years I've had the pleasure of using Advanced Fence & Gate. The first time was at our home in Evanston. They did a perfect job and the fence is still in excellent shape and I attribute that to their master craftsmanship of how they put the fence together. The second time we used them was last week at my mom's house. She needed a new fence and gate. Advanced Fence once again performed an excellent job. The crew were all pleasant, were respectful of mom's plants and when they left, I never knew they were there; all the yard was completely cleaned up. Advanced quote was very detailed much more so than the other quotes I got for my mom. Buyer beware on some of these other companies that do not include in their quote that they will take the old fence away. If a quote is much lower than Advanced Fence, ask questions, as there is probably a surprise that you might not expect. Advanced was also great at communicating with me. I live a half hour away and only had a select number of days that I could go out to my mom's. The owner of the company, Todd, reached out and kept in touch throughout the process. If you are looking to have a fence built for your house, look no further. My wife and I could not be happier with the fence and gate that Todd installed with his crew. We truly got to customize it since it was built on site at our house. We worked with David and Pedro (great guys), who worked quickly and precisely making sure everything is straight and level. Having the top of the fence be straight all the way around was most important to us. This meant there were gaps in the bottom of the fence because of the way our yard goes up and down. However, they were able to fill in those gaps between the ground and bottom of the fence perfectly. If I could give ZERO star, I would. Watch out with this company, they think because there is a clause on the contract about digging holes without looking down to any water pipes, they are not responsible. They don't want to be accountable for breaking our sewage waste pipe when they dug out the holes to place the post and pours a lot of concrete to cover the broken pipe. They want you to deal with their insurance but we made a deal with them directly. We paid close to $5000 dollars to fixed their mistake. They don't want to be responsable for this big mess. We didn't have water for 3 days. We will not recommend this fence company to nobody. BE CAREFUL. We still fighting for it. DO NOT SIGN their contract that benefits them only. read more

The process of getting a quote and then finalizing our detailed fence-specs for an el shaped wooden fence (with 1 gate) began in Aug 2017. Todd patiently answered every emailed question ( and there were eventually 20 questions on top of what we discussed during his site visit) even though we only needed under 30 linear feet! We had our gate and some rotten and missing boards replaced. The fence and gate were put in by the previous owners and the gate posts weren't put in deep enough and the gate was leaning.
