I hired Top Line Fence to install a privacy fence in my yard. The previous owners used this company, so I wanted to use the original installers. My neighbors had a garage that was demolished. The garage gave an illusion that my yard was completely fenced in. After a couple of years, I finally reached out to Top Line Fence. Being a retired project manager, they are considered a little costly to me. It cost $1300 just to install 25 linear ft of Cedar Wood. Initially, they quoted me $1400. I was able to negotiate with Gary, the estimator, and received $100 off for essentially being a returning customer. Gary, the office staff, and the technicians are all upbeat, cheerful, and with great customer service. The techs that came out were surprised with a bee hive I didn't know was present. I thought the work would be delayed and that I'd have to call a local bee hive remover. The guys instead went to Home Depot and purchased out of their own pocket, whatever they needed to get rid of it. That was superb! The fence smells and looks great. I can't wait until it's weathered like the others. My only reason for giving four stars is because they're not up to date with technology. I would've preferred paying through an online link and using docusign. I had to drive way up north to pay in person because I don't give my credit or debit information over the phone. My 6 foot, wooden privacy fence was damaged by some strong winds over the years and the normal wear and tear of time that it has experienced. It was very weak in areas and needed some attention asap. So I was referred to Top Line fence to assess the situation. Top line came in with the best estimate from four other local competitors. They were very straightforward and communicative throughout the installation. There was some miscommunication initially about stain choice which partly was my fault through my ignorance but that was rectified very quickly. Scott was very understanding and patient. There were some flaws that I pointed out after the installation was complete but again, Scott was very understanding without any back peddling and quickly sent out a team to remedy the problems. Posts were set in dead of winter so I have some reservations about the integrity of the concrete in the long term but overall, the finished product met my expectations. When reminded the Rep came next day ( we assuimed to do the job), but he looked at it for less than five minutes and then yelled-- over his shoulder--"I'll send you an estimate tomorrow." Of course we knew that was not going to happen. He obviously wasn't interested in a small job--albeit on their product-- but, if given the time, we had planned to discuss a large wrought iron project on another historic property. Top Line Fence did an amazing job. The project was very difficult given the large tree stump we had in our alley space . The worked leveled both poles raised the gate, added a bevel that was in line, and put in locks on the front and back gate. I was extremely impressed at the level of work and how they asked for my input on how I wanted it while they worked on the steps. It was fantastic. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 was how they asked for a 50% deposit and it did take them one week longer to call me than they said it would.
