Looking for a repair of a fence accidentally knocked down by a neighbor. Wanted a basic appraisal. Not looking to get "more from the insurance" Just making sure that the fence next door wasn't also damaged. And my name isn't "Honey" read more

I hired Top Line Fence to install a privacy fence in my yard. The previous owners used this company, so I wanted to use the original installers. My neighbors had a garage that was demolished. The garage gave an illusion that my yard was completely fenced in. After a couple of years, I finally reached out to Top Line Fence. Being a retired project manager, they are considered a little costly to me. It cost $1300 just to install 25 linear ft of Cedar Wood. Initially, they quoted me $1400. I was able to negotiate with Gary, the estimator, and received $100 off for essentially being a returning customer. Gary, the office staff, and the technicians are all upbeat, cheerful, and with great customer service. The techs that came out were surprised with a bee hive I didn't know was present. I thought the work would be delayed and that I'd have to call a local bee hive remover. The guys instead went to Home Depot and purchased out of their own pocket, whatever they needed to get rid of it. That was superb! The fence smells and looks great. I can't wait until it's weathered like the others. My only reason for giving four stars is because they're not up to date with technology. I would've preferred paying through an online link and using docusign. I had to drive way up north to pay in person because I don't give my credit or debit information over the phone. Otherwise, quality work, and it was done in one trip. I plan on using them again for the front yard. read more

Top Line Fence - Before, the eyesore. Exposure directly to the neighbors yard and alley. Quite a security issue. - Fences & Gates Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Very responsive and very nice estimator. My first time owning a single family home, so fence maintenance is completely new to me. I have some rusting on my home I bought a year ago. Estimator came and was super nice, he was honest and helpful stating all I needed was a painter who could brush/sandpaper off the rush and needed a paint job. I felt bad for him coming by, but he was super nice about it and said that is what he is here for to help. read more

Great job on replacing our iron railings. Painted prior to installing. Beautiful work!

I just had an iron fence installed with privacy wood. The men worked for several hours to install the gates and the wood. They did a fantastic job. We are so happy with the results. These guys are awesome. We got several proposals for our project of a residential wrought iron fence in Edgewater. Phil came out and asked pertinent questions and had very helpful suggestions about our project. Definitely seemed more knowledgeable and experienced than the other companies we had come out. We could tell these guys knew their stuff. We went with them without hesitation. They installed the new fence much quicker than we thought they would be able to and it looks amazing. High Quality workmanship and all of their suggestions turned out perfect. These guys are professional, skilled, and got the job done quickly. Can't recommend them enough. read more

They came, they installed, they got paid. They're friendly, clean and complete. I had a 62' section of chainlinked with privacy strips for $3k+. A bit pricy but that's seems to be the same with everyone. So far, so good, no complaints. 5 stars. read more

My 6 foot, wooden privacy fence was damaged by some strong winds over the years and the normal wear and tear of time that it has experienced. It was very weak in areas and needed some attention asap. So I was referred to Top Line fence to assess the situation. They were very helpful explaining my options and walked me through everything from acquiring a permit to a detailed assessment of the areas of the fence that needed to be repaired or replaced. After opting for the repair, Jeff and his crew came out to my house and once again, talked me through all the work that was to be done. They worked hard throughout the full day to make sure to get the job done and to get the job done right. They were very respectful of their surroundings, cleaning up after themselvesand not even making much noise. They went out of their way to even make some minor repairs to make sure the fence was in the best shape possible. I am very happy with the finished product. The sections that they replaced looks great and the posts that they re-did, are definitely providing the support my fence needed. I am extremely satisfied with the 8service and final product. They have an honest, hard-working crew and quality of their work looks 2nd to none. To top it off, their price was very competitive I would 100% suggest them to anyone in need of a new fence! read more

Top line came in with the best estimate from four other local competitors. They were very straightforward and communicative throughout the installation. There was some miscommunication initially about stain choice which partly was my fault through my ignorance but that was rectified very quickly. Scott was very understanding and patient. There were some flaws that I pointed out after the installation was complete but again, Scott was very understanding without any back peddling and quickly sent out a team to remedy the problems. Posts were set in dead of winter so I have some reservations about the integrity of the concrete in the long term but overall, the finished product met my expectations. It came out looking great! read more

Had an outstanding experience with the team from Top Line Fence. Estimator Phil visited to give an estimate and provide options. He was right on time. When we settled on the materials and provided a deposit, we were told the installation would be within the next few weeks. When the crew arrived, installer Kyle was easy to work with and did outstanding work installing a 6 foot vinyl fence with reinforced concrete and re-bar inserted. I have not seen other fence contractors use this process, and that certainly sealed the deal for me to use Top Line. In 2017, they installed a chain link fence on the property and it has held up very well. Use this company and they will not disappoint! Thanks to Kyle, Scott and the owner for outstanding work! read more

Had an outstanding experience with the team from Top Line Fence. Company President Scott visited to give an estimate and provide options. He was right on time. When we settled on the materials and provided a deposit, we were told the installation would be within the next few weeks. A few days later, we learned the installation crew led by Manny would complete the job that Friday. Manny and his colleague arrived on time, removed two old, falling apart fences and prepared for installation of the new fence. This was done in one day! The crew returned that Saturday to install the door. We are thrilled by the caliber of the work, the on time service and fair price. Highly recommend Top Line Fence. read more

We began looking for recommendations for a fencing company on Next Door, and many of our neighbors recommended Top Line Fence. Jeff from Top Line came out and quoted us for a 6-foot tall cedar privacy fence along one side of our backyard (the rest of the yard was already fenced in, just the one side had chain link) and a new iron railing for our front porch. The time from my call to the office to him coming out to survey and give us a quote was very quick. The fence went in in one day and looks beautiful! Both of our front and back gates had shifted and were hard to open so they also corrected the issues. The iron railing on the front porch went in on a separate day and took less than a half day to complete. We are so happy with both. Jeff and all of the guys from Top Line were super easy to work with, pleasant, and very professional. We would definitely recommend them. read more

Our fence was installed last month and we couldn't be happier - not just with the fence itself, but with Top Line Fence as a company. We did our due diligence and contacted several companies for quotes. Some took forever to get back to us, others were wildly expensive, some were a little rude. Top Line was incredible from day 1. As a first time home owner (we've only been in the house a year), we were obviously novices at fencing. They were patient and responsive with every question. I also have to give a shout out to the crew who did the work. They were professional and FAST! We celebrated with some chocolate ice cream cones. Remember, be kind to people working on your house. If you're looking for a fence company, use Top Line. Exceptional! read more

Top Line is top notch! So happy we used them to replace our old chain link fence with a new white vinyl picket fence. Price was very reasonable and came in lower than the big box companies (like Lowe's and Home Depot) that I had come out. Scott and Jeff were on top of things from the free estimate to the final cleanup of our yard. They were quick to respond to calls and emails. Crew were very polite, they worked hard and got the job done as quickly as possible. They even filled in some areas of our walkway that had missing or cracked cement pieces at no charge. I appreciate a company that knows what they're doing and doesn't leave you questioning any of the work. Thanks, guys! read more

Disappointing! Have been Topline cunstomers for 25 years The owner, Gene Norman was a jewel. Called for a gate realignment--no show. When reminded the Rep came next day ( we assuimed to do the job), but he looked at it for less than five minutes and then yelled-- over his shoulder--"I'll send you an estimate tomorrow." Of course we knew that was not going to happen. He obviously wasn't interested in a small job--albeit on their product-- but, if given the time, we had planned to discuss a large wrought iron project on another historic property. Satisfied customers are repeat customers. Sadly, this one is gone. read more

Top-line did a great job removing our old fence and installing a new one. I paid alot of money for wrought iron. Since nearly the beginning the fence is having issues locking because of issues with the alignment of the fence. I have called for over a year and the owner keeps assuring me someone will come out. I have waited patiently only to get phone calls from the alleged employee to come mitigate the issue. time after time he is a no show. it is a vicious circle. would never have spent 5 k on this conpany if i had know this family owned business. woukd treat me this way. thumbs down read more

Top Line Fence did an amazing job. The project was very difficult given the large tree stump we had in our alley space . The worked leveled both poles raised the gate, added a bevel that was in line, and put in locks on the front and back gate. I was extremely impressed at the level of work and how they asked for my input on how I wanted it while they worked on the steps. It was fantastic. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 was how they asked for a 50% deposit and it did take them one week longer to call me than they said it would. The work was worth that wait however. read more
