I had a great experience with this fence company from start to finish. The customer service was excellent--friendly, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The crew did an amazing job on my wood fence, and the quality of the materials and workmanship really shows. Everything was done professionally and on time, and the final result looks fantastic. I'm very happy with my fence and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and great service. read more

Really happy with the work from Osceola Fence. The crew showed up when they said they would, worked efficiently, and did a great job. The fence looks solid and exactly what we wanted. Everyone was easy to deal with and respectful of our property. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

It took 3 months to get the fence installed and when they did install it they left a huge mess in my backyard. Dripped paint all over the cement, cement over my patio furniture, and stray tools. I would NOT recommend using this company. With other great fence companies in Chicago they will just create headaches for you. read more

Terrible! Osceola was hired to install a wooden fence behind our yard earlier this month (Nov 2021). The crew did a great job with the demolition and removal of the old fence. The new fence is very subpar from the installation to the material used. For example, more than half of the wood panels are split down the middle or broken off on the sides or bottoms-- the servicemen continued to work possibly hoping that we would not notice. A small percentage of the wood planks were mis-measured by at least 2 inches. Therefore, the fence is uneven in sections which is obvious. Again, the servicemen knowingly installed shorter planks in areas hoping we wouldn't notice. Last but not least, the surface of the wood used is all splinters. This is a problem for our toddlers as they get splinters in their hands whenever they touch the fence. The company did not bother to sand the wood prior to installation. They're toddlers and it should be totally okay for them to touch the surface of the gate to push it open. I am extremely disappointed in the quality, or lack thereof, and no one from the office has been back on our property to address these issues. I am extremely unhappy and plan to send a notice to the BBB, State of IL, and a news crew because this is unacceptable. I have pictures, video, and happy to allow the local news to come examine this poorly done fence. read more

I provide written specifications and detailed drawings for a chain link fence and gate to Osceola's salesman for bidding the work. Osceola's bid had: 1) Incorrect length of fence (twice as long as specified) 2) Incorrect height of fence as specified 3) Incorrect height of gate as specified 4) Incorrect number of gate hinges as specified 5) Incomplete gate closing mechanism options as specified 6) Incomplete keyed lock options as specified 7) Incomplete fence fabric coating weight details as specified Because of this poorly prepared bid from Osceola I do not have the confidence they could install the fence and gate in a competent workmanlike manner. In addition the bid was first sent to an undeliverable email address - which would have bounced back to them and they would have received an error message their email is undeliverable. Osceola did NOT contact me to confirm a correct email address to resend bid. I contacted them later which is how it was discovered they sent bid to an undeliverable email address. I do not have confidence Osceola's back office administration operations are preformed by competent staff. read more

Osceola Fence and Security did an outstanding job on my vinyl fence Installation. The reason I selected them is that close to twenty years previous they installed my wrought iron fence. The workmanship is outstanding. It was quite obvious to me that the installers took pride in their work. They worked without flinching in sub-freezing temperatures and produced an outstanding product. It's tall, beautiful and imposing. It won't be easy to scale this beast! Now I can enjoy my backyard without the glare of nosy neighbors and I can go out in the middle of the night and know that I will be safe and sound. read more

They did a fantastic job! They fence looks really great. Fair pricing, professional. If needed would re-use.

The most beautifully crafted cedar fence. The steel was painted with paint (not powder coated) but that's okay and keep an eye out for my next business venture. Listen...there is a worldwide shortage of wood and you will be lucky if you could get these guys to craft your dream fence. I'll be honest, there were some bumps along the way communication - wise. ... but all in all I have my dream fence, made of cedar, with paint on the steel. I give everyone 5 stars because all the individuals that worked on my fence were EXTREMELY skilled! I just wish they could find a powder coat steel person ;-) read more

Osceola Fence - Fences & Gates Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We found Osceola via Yelp and they bid on a replacement project for our Chicago fence. They were always informed and responsive and the quality of their work is very high. They collaborated with us on the design and were great about clearing up any details before moving forward. We highly recommend them for your wrought iron projects because they are AMAZING! read more

Getting a fence quoted and installed is way harder than it sounds. Osceola was the 5th or 6th fence company we contacted after many other companies broke appointments, didn't return calls or follow through. By the time we got to them, we were defeated and more or less agreed that if the quote was reasonable and we could get on the schedule quickly, we'd hire them. I found Osceola because their plaque was on the fence where I used to rent a parking space. It was a wood fence and the quality of work seemed really good. Our salesman was nice, but very salesy. To his credit, he showed up on time and gave us an estimate on the spot, so we weren't left calling and emailing to find out where we stood. We wanted to go with a steel fence with a wrought iron appearance to minimize rusting. He pushed the wrought iron, but quoted both out. We also had him quote out fixing our wood side gates, so that we can enter and exit from in and outside the property with a key. We went with the wrought iron fence, but skipped the gate work as it was more than we wanted to pay. Half of the cost was expected upon accepting the estimate. As promised we got on the schedule in about two weeks. They don't provide much notice when they're ready to install. Each time we got a 24h heads up. They came out twice; first to install the posts and the second time to put the gates and fence in. They say you don't have to be home, but personally I recommend it. They needed access to water, which wouldn't have been possible if weren't around. They also wanted to know which sides to hinge each gate. On the second visit, we weren't around and a couple things weren't done as expected. The handle/locks were put on with the wrong handles and they weren't keyed alike. The project manager was able to send someone out within a few days to rectify the keying; the knobs didn't get changed, which wasn't as important to us. We haven't had the fence long, but so far we are pleased with the workmanship. read more

UPDATE....They came out, dug out the old concrete and re poured the cement. I was very happy and satisfied.

Horrible communication. Leo came out to give us estimates. After receiving the HIGH estimate, he never responded after we called him to ask questions. I also sent numerous emails that were ignored. Poor way to conduct business. Glad we are not using them since they seem extremely irresponsible read more

I found these ppl on Angie's List where they had decent ratings and I had a 3' of fencing and a gate built. I was charged over $600 for almost nothing in fencing but I had to get it done because my new garage and yard needed to be closed off for my dog. That was last spring. Fast forward to February of 2017: The craftsmanship on the gate sucked and over the winter, the temperature flucutations expanded and shifted the gate post so that the latch wouldn't lock into the post. I had to hunt down Osceola and make multiple phone calls to get a rep to come out and assess the gate for vandalism. If they thought it was vandalism, their warranty wouldn't cover the repair. Vandalism my a$$ - the gate post shifted due to the weather fluctuations. They did fix the gate and I was not charged for it, but this was after I had to hunt them down via multiple phone calls. I'm busy and I don't have time for that. read more

When we decided to replace our chain link fence and gate, we called a few companies, most never bothered to return calls, and the couple that bothered to come out had extremely high estimates. It was not a large job, so I get the lack of interest. Sought recommendations on FB, and friends of ours recommended Osceola Fence - they were very satisfied with the the work done for them. Sales rep came out quickly, gave a ball park quote, but we had to consider some of the options. So he came back a few days later when we were ready to close the deal. Overall happy. Would have liked to have it done a bit quicker, but not a real complaint - it's their busy season and things backed up due to Covid. Mistakes happen, and the real test of a business is how they deal with issues. There was an error made with the construction of our gate. The project manager, Jose, gave us the option of keeping the incorrect gate at a significant discount, or they would remake the gate. His concern was that we were happy with the end result. We chose the latter, but they went ahead and installed the original one so we would not be without a gate while waiting for the replacement. It was worth it - the arched gate really looks great. They also made a modification for us - we had an arbor installed, but then did not like the look, and so they removed it and cut and capped the post to match the rest. Finally, the project manager had recommended a variation in the project, from what was quoted (two posts did not need to be installed to terminate the side chain-link fence), that, in my opinion, warranted an adjustment in price, which was accommodated to my satisfaction. The installer, Paul, knew his stuff - did a great job. His assistants worked hard, great customer service from Jose, and very pleasant office staff every time I called. Bottom line, would I recommend Osceola or hire them again? Absolutely. Pricing was reasonable, they made sure we were happy, and the fence looks great! read more

Our Church was in need of a new fence & Osceola really came through! They were competitive in their pricing winning the bid. Because it was a very busy season and all the product delays everywhere it took a little longer, however Gabriella kept us updated. Did I mention how great Gabriella was? Anytime I called she was on top of it! Very professional & courteous. Ours was a bigger job, so it took a few days but they were on time & cleaned up nicely. I would definitely recommend Osceola for your fencing needs. read more

Great work. Horrible communication. Once the fence was installed it was done in a timely professional manner. There were a lot of delays due to covid and supplies which is understandable but there was no communication from the company at all on these issues unless I called repeatedly. most of the time the answers I received were very vague. The projected was supposed to be completed 5-6wks after our 50% deposit was received and we made it to 10+ before it went in. read more

Guy came for an estimate, barely listened to what I wanted then told me he wouldn't give me a price until I had other estimates and told him the price. I ask him to give me their price and he said he would call me later that night since he didn't want anything if writing. Still haven't hear from him on a price or follow-up over a week later. Wouldn't trust them to do any work after that experience. read more

I am super happy about entire process. From the initial communication from Bob, to the installer Jose calling me a couple days before install it went smoothly and took about a month. I am super happy with the fence, it looks AMAZING. I had reached out to eight other companies, only five of those called me back. Two canceled on me the day they were supposed to come give me a quote and one was late and when I told him another company had an appointment at the time he wanted to come, he told me "well good luck then:". Osceola was the only one who was on time, professional, reasonably priced and did a great job. I have already recommended them to a couple neighbors. I will update with before and after pictures, I couldn't be happier! read more

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a service provider of any kind. I would strongly recommend not working with this company. Outside of poor quality of work, they were difficult to work with, slow, and dishonest. I will provide details. -Difficult to work with: The whole process took over 2 months from start to finish for work that should have taken 1-2 weeks at the most. We had a quote completed in June, and we had to follow up with them to get a date scheduled. Their office manager was incredibly absent minded- she lost track of details- and is a very poor communicator. She confused dates, addresses constantly. By the time we finally got a date on the books, 2 men from what seemed to be a different company (they had a different name on their truck) showed up and put posts in the ground and then told us they were done. We were told that the gates would be installed that day- but the post installers instructed us to call Osceola to schedule another appointment to get the actual gates installed. Once again, it took forever to get a hold of them and get the appointment scheduled for weeks later. -Poor quality of work: Once the gates were finally installed, we were shocked to see what they looked like. It was not at all what we were led to believe they would be installing. They had sent us pictures of what it would look like (cedar with iron reinforcement)- which is what the quote was based off of- and it looked nothing like what was promised. The gate seemed flimsy and had gaps on the sides that made it look ridiculous. We had to call and complain and have someone come out again to add more iron reinforcement and an additional plank to cover the gaps. I still shake my head every day when I go through the gate thinking about what I thought this would be, and what it turned out to be. I'm actually debating ripping it out and re-installing the whole thing. It's a D- in terms of quality and is completely under-delivery on what was sold to us. It's appalling. -Dishonest: Outside of the entire process being a mess, never getting what we expected at each step, and having to take all of the onus on ourselves to keep the process moving along- we received fraudulent charges months after the work was completed. We started to see charges from Osceola on our credit card statement long after the work had been paid in full. It's lucky we check our statements or these charges would have gone through. When we asked Osceola about these charges- they lied to us. They told us that one of their employees had been fired and had been charging credit cards of his former customers. They told us that they'd filed a police report against this individual, but weren't responsible (even though the charges were literally coming form their billing dept). We confronted them with proof that we never provided this individual (the sales rep that was fired) w/ our credit card info. We had only ever provided this info to the office manager and not the sales rep- so blaming it on the sales rep is a lie unless he stole the info from the office. They took no responsibility for this- we have to cancel our credit card and file a report through our bank b/c Osceola won't take responsibility. I've never encountered a company that misses across the board. There was not one thing that was done right or felt good. On top of that- they've been dishonest. I would never recommend working with this company. read more

I thought they did a nice job putting up the fence, but the gate? Dragging low four inches, scrapping on my concrete driveway, leaving etch marks, requiring two people to lift it. I'm very disappointed and would NOT recommend them. read more

Salesman came out right away to take measurements and was supposed to call in 4 days with the numbers. A week passed so i called and he hadn't been able to talk to the boss yet but told me that he would try for the next day. Another 10 days passed and I never heard back. After not getting the info or a call in a timely manner, I lost faith. Maybe our job was too small for them but that doesn't mean common courtesy goes out the window. I only gave them 2 stars because the salesman was great when he came out and it may not have been his fault. read more

I cannot rate them. I had a sales rep come out to my home. I provided a very detailed drawing of where and what type of fencing I was seeking. All in all about 212 linear feet of vinyl fencing. I have called two or three times, and emailed several other times. I got one return call to see what was going on only to find out they did not have a quote. They would check into it to see what happened, that was over three weeks ago. I cannot get a return call nor can I get a quote! What is up with that. I have since called Top Line Fence and Tru Link fencing to see if I can get a quote quicker than the month I have been waiting. They did my fence at my former address and that is why I contacted them first. Not so sure I can recommend them any longer. 11/10/2016 update It is now November 10th. I originally contacted Osceola May 17th. Now 6 months have passed. I had scheduled a second visit with them. It rained, we both cancelled the appointment. I resent the file of what I wanted. I was assured that the quote would be started from my very detailed drawing that I sent. Today, after 10 days have passed, I got an email asking me if I have decided on what type of fence I wanted. I sent them pictures and renderings. Still no closer to getting an estimate then I was in May. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will not do business with them at all now. When my clients come to me, they walk out with an estimate that day 99% of the time. This is really poor service and I cannot recommend them at all. read more

Texted the sales guy who finally replied and reconfirmed the install for prior to 6/9. Went another few weeks with silence. Finally at the start of last week, had to express my frustration to get any reply. Fence was finally installed yesterday - 6/12. Work is ok and price fair, but customer service sucks... read more

Osceola came the same day I called to talk about the project which included replacing a 44 foot wood fence, installing 2 steel framed locking gates, installing an iron 3 foot fence along the alley side of our house and a guard rail along the alley so that cars stopped running over our bushes. Fair price, job done per time committed, and extremely responsive to questions and process. Once completed, I wanted something adjusted which they agreed to do without question. I had a vinyl fence installed in June. I didn't care for a wooden fence. it took a while until the fence was installed due to a heavy demand and scheduling.
