Vallarta came in with a lower quote than their competitors, and managed to replace almost all my fencing within two days. They went above and beyond, even fixing my gate and helping me haul away / bag yard waste from a huge vine that had dominated my old fence. The end result looks fantastic and you can tell the materials are well made. We had some tricky aspects to our yard and you can tell they have the experience to deal with anything that comes their way. Highly recommend! read more

Of the quotes we got they were the most reasonable and they were quick to respond to questions throughout the whole process. They managed the permits required by our village as well as contacted JULIE prior to the digging. The day of they actually showed up a little early, worked quickly and got our fence and gate up and looking great! Truly no nonsense, and above and beyond work! Highly recommend! read more

Got a competitive quote from Jose. The fence fabricator couldn't supply the fence as quoted and he returned the down payment easily. Much appreciated. read more

We had a car run into our guard rail/fence a few weeks back. We contacted multiple fencing companies, and got the run around from most due to it being a smaller job. Jose returned my call within a couple of hours, and was able to come out and take a look within a week. He was courteous, wore a mask without me asking, and completed the job ahead of schedule. We are super pleased with how it turned out, and the price we paid. I also want to commend Jose for how he addressed me. I am a woman, and I contacted him for the job. When he came to do the estimate, my husband was with me. Now, at this point, most contractors would turn and speak to him, but not Jose. He was polite, and said hello to him, but continued to address me. Thank you Jose! read more

I highly recommend Vallarta Fence of Cicero, IL. Jose was EXCELLENT, very professional, experienced, accommodating and fair. I interviewed 3 fence companies for my job which consisted of 126' of 4' black iron fencing and 2 gates. I selected Jose because of 1. Having seen his work (from a plate attached to a completed job), 2., a competitive bid and 3., of GREAT importance, his responsive and courteous communication, whether via text or phone, from the estimate on through to completion of the job. The last point is a winning one as my experience with one other estimator was shockingly poor, inspiring zero confidence in proceeding. One thing I would suggest to all fence shoppers: get clear in advance as to how the clay soil excavated for posts will be disposed of. It is not something fence companies typically haul away so find out what you'll pay to have it removed, or, plan in advance where it can be deposited on your property if feasible. In summary, Jose was outstanding to work with, experienced and professional. I love my gorgeous fence! read more

Our condo association used Vallarta Fence to replace the worn down privacy fence on our property. The owner, Jose, was quick to respond and gave us multiple fencing option estimates. The price was competitively fair. Jose and his team took 5 hrs to complete the job, including haul away and clean-up. (Cleaned up my yard, my neighbor's sidewalk, and the garage) The final result is a beautiful, sturdy privacy fence! Look no farther for a fence company- work with Vallarta Fence. read more

Jose was great, detailed plans, great communication, done on schedule. Beautiful work.

Our fence is a couple of years old now and we couldn't be happier. Jose and the team did an amazing job on our fence and 3 other neighbors, plus a fourth who invited him back the following year. Jose was great at communicating when they would be there, what they would be doing... They kept the work areas clean and worked quickly. The result was beautiful. read more

Wow just wow. I called around after I bought my fixer upper house for a gate in the back next to the garage that would slide to the front so I could park on the concrete pad. Jose was the most reasonable in pricing and I trusted him. He did an excellent job and showed up on the day he promised me. He did the fencing and welding so neatly that I am 1000000% satisfied. So glad I went with Vallarta Fence. If I ever need more fencing he's my guy! read more

Called the company, returned my call in 1 day. Gave him an address. Promised to come Sat noon, told me that will inform me on Friday what time is appointment on Sat. Never confirmed the appointment. After I called him told me that he is not registered in Evanston though job does not need a permit. Suggested calling company which has terrible reviews. Disappointing experience with Vallarta Fences. read more

Jose and the guys at Vallarta Fence are our heroes! My partner did all of the communicating with Jose, who was excellent at calling and texting and keeping us posted with timing of the project. They worked hard and efficiently on ripping out an old crappy chain link fence and two gangway gates, and installing new wrought iron fencing and gates. Super high quality work, and their rate was far better than any other companies we contacted. They were also first available to start the work (maybe 2.5 weeks between initial contact and starting work). Don't waste your time with anyone else--Jose and Vallarta Fencing is the best. read more

Jose was excellent. I would highly recommend him. He communicated well and did top quality work. He always showed up on time and was extremely professional and kind. He installed the fence for us on the side of our property and made sure that the new fence matched our existing fence in style and height. He was a huge help in figuring out how to put the fence up in a more difficult area of our yard. He even added new knobs and locks to our existing fence and repaired a broken section of the existing fence for us. read more

I'm so pleased with Jose and his team! I got a quick consult, a callback including price and a breakdown of the process of removing some horrid old fencing , chain-link gates and part of an old chain-link fence. I contacted a few other companies and one ghosted me, another showed up 40 minutes late for an estimate... The team was very efficient, hard-working and courteous. Jose said the job would be done in 2 days and it was! The entire yard looks bigger and better and my dogs and family are thrilled. i highly recommend Vallarta Fence! read more

We had a really good experience and highly recommend Jose and his crew at Vallarta Fence. Total pro!! I needed a gate repaired, and fast. I contacted ANOTHER FENCE COMPANY THAT WILL REMAIN NAMELESS, and not only did they not bother to contact me after the initial consultation, they put me on their email list. NOPE. 10 minutes after I messaged Vallarta and three other companies here on Yelp, Jose contacted me, got the ball rolling, and within a day I had an appointment scheduled. He came out, did the work at a reasonable price and was fast. That's what I needed, and I appreciate that. read more

This company is highly skilled, very reliable, and as a perk they are also fast and courteous to work with. Pricing is competitive, or as I saw it was actually quite a bit less than the competition. I had Vallarta take down & discard my old picket fence and replace it with a 5ft tall privacy fence with iron posts + retaining wall support. Jose was very easy to work with. He provided me with many style options that would work well for our space- fence type, wood type and stain options, door knob/handle types. Just select, he'll offer input, and schedule a build day. It's been a few months now and I can honestly say this fence is fantastic. Securely built and beautiful. I recommend Vallarta. read more

I never got to see the work because I got ghosted. I got a call back right away, and told him of my location. While he lives near by, he stated he doesn't do much work in Berwyn, but he would come and look and work out an estimate. It took a few attempts to get him to come, because of his schedule during the week, however, he showed up about a week after out chat on a Saturday. That makes sense, I know of many companies who only estimates on Saturdays, so I was okay with that. The owner was cool and easy to talk to but what took me a bit aback almost right away is that he started complaining how a pain it was to get permits in Berwyn, and that I would need to get it myself. I agreed, but he continued to state how easy it was in Chicago, and avoided Berwyn, but that occasionally did do work in Berwyn. I got a luke-warm feeling about it, but he still continued to run measurements and even showed me examples to narrowed down what I wanted. He was super nice, shook my hand and told me I would get an estimate with a few days. 3 days passed and I shot him a message, but he didn't reply. A few more days passed, and I sent him another message, and again, no reply. I even called him, and he didn't pick up. I guess he had a change of heart, a decided he wasn't going to do the work for me. It would have been the professional courtesy to either not come by for an estimate and stated his gripe with Berwyn upfront before he made the journey, or at least reply to tell me he could not do it. But instead he decided to ghost me. Like most folks, when someone I pay someone who does a good job, I keep them for life, and would continue to work with them and even recommend them. I have done that with handymen and painters I have hired in the past. He seemed like a great guy, so it is unfortunate he took the route he took. I only gave him 2 stars because at least he wasn't rude. But the fact that he ghosted me, was not really professional, and/or courteous. read more

Jose was a good welder, boss and businessman. And his prices were 20% better than the other two fence companies I asked for quotes to rebuild a 25' iron fence with gate. The fence was 35 years old. And unknown to me, the original contractor has used flimsy 14-ga steel rather than industry-standard 11-ga for a couple of the steel posts. As a result, the posts rusted through at the base where they entered the concrete anchors...and the 6' fence fell over! No advance payment was required. All welds were excellent. And Jose appeared when promised on both days. I was so pleased with the quality and speed of the job, I even bought Potbelly sandwiches for Jose and his worker for lunch! read more

We just had a 6 ft. fence installed by Jose and his crew in Clarendon Hills. He is very reliable and we kept in touch during the contract phase through completion. He even fixed issues we had with our gates from previous fencing installation. I had several companies come out, but with the customer service and pricing he offers no one could come close. He does fancy ironwork too. It looks great and he even made room for the neighbors tree by boxing the wood out a bit. Great job. Hire him for problem-free fencing. read more

Highly recommend. Our fence came crashing down 2 weeks ago due to high winds. I got multiple quotes and urged everyone I got a quote from I needed the work done ASAP. All of them told me they couldn't do it for at least a week. Vallarta came and saw how bad it was and came out the very next day to the do the work. Their quote was much cheaper than the other quotes I got and they came in the freezing rain the next day to complete the job and did amazing work. Does not get better than that! read more

I can't say enough about Vallarta fence. Jose did an incredible job on my custom wrought iron fence. I should know since I was a custom iron fabricator and installer in the 1980s and 1990s so I am very picky. Jose made some modifications to the original plan to make the fence better conform to the landscape, dealt with a difficult permit issue that I had to navigate and even came back quickly to swap out a latch that was not functioning well. He even computed the cost difference between using hollow vs. solid pickets and it turned out that I was able to afford the solid pickets for a nominal cost difference. I would recommend Vallarta above all other fence companies I have used in the past for my other homes. Top notch workmanship and excellent grade materials. Use these guys. read more

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Jose and his team. We originally scheduled to do work in May, but thanks to the Chicago sewer system, I had to postpone due to a horrendous basement flood, which required the demolition of my entire basement, ugh!! Anyway, we rescheduled and Jose and his team were here in August. They wore mask and they came to work. They took down the old chain fence and installed the vinyl privacy fence in a day and the driveway gate was completed the next day. There was a small hiccup with the latch on the gate, but Jose was always responsive and came back and again went straight to work, he finished it so quickly I didn't know he was gone. Pricing was also a key factor, I got what I paid for and what I paid for is beautiful and worth the cost that was actually more competitive than a couple of others that wanted me to wait for months. The compliments have not stopped coming. read more
