    I went in today for a cut and color. The over all experience was pretty good and my color turned out great and the over all cut was good. My bangs however turned out AWFUL. choppy and uneven. I thought it may have been the way she styled it so I came home and washed and dried it and it was worse. I am embarrassed to even go out. Never again! And for $210 after tip! DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT.

    I always love the haircuts I get at Red 115, and especially appreciate all they are doing during COVID-19. I appreciate how Red 115 is doing everything it can to ensure the safety of their staff and clients. The salon has strict protocols in place, like mandatory face masks, one client at a time, disinfecting each station after use, and even asking clients not to set their belongings on anything. The salon is always so clean, and the employees are warm and welcoming, which is especially appreciated during the strange times. Shannon cut my hair today, and am SO in love with the outcome. It's definitely one of the best haircuts I've EVER had. She is so fun, kind, and knowledgeable, it was a delightful experience to be with her today. My hair is glowing, and she took it's needs as well as my preferences to heart. I look forward to future haircuts with Shannon, and highly recommend her as a hairdresser!

    I had my hair cut by a middle aged gentleman (maybe mid 50's) mid August. I don't recall his name but he had a young female student with him and told me he had moved from Phoenix where he had his own salon to Flagstaff. When I sat down he instantly started talking about putting various layers in my hair. This was my first time getting a haircut in over a year because of COVID and prior to that I had had a not so good haircut so I told him all I wanted was a trim-straight across because I was growing my hair out. The initial results seemed good and I was pleased overall. I treated myself to a Brazilian blowout yesterday. During the treatment the stylist pointed out how uneven my hair was. She took a picture of it, as below. She was able to fix the back, but not the sides. I can't believe I've been walking around with such a bad haircut! I'm just glad I spoke up and told him I didn't want any interesting layers!! I wish I could remember his name but I 100% would not recommend him; the photo below speaks for itself.

    I wanted to treat myself to an early birthday present, and decided to get a spa pedicure. I wanted a nice, relaxing experience, so I knew I didn't want to go to one of the nail places in the mall. I called Red 115 and was able to make an appointment for the next day. I went in this morning and they immediately offered me their specialty tea or a water, I chose the tea and it was delicious. I got in right on time to my appointment without waiting. They had a large but not too overwhelming selection of gel polish to select from. The chair for the pedicure wasn't a "massager" chair but that doesn't bother me, I never use them anyway. The nail tech was extremely friendly and took her time. I love the smell of Aveda products, so it was nice to have them used on my feet. The tech used a stress relief lotion/exfoliating paste for my legs and feet, and also gave me a good ten minute foot massage that was so relaxing. I appreciated the care she took- the pedicure was an hour and a half long! Not a complaint! I loved relaxing, drinking tea and absorbing the good smells knowing that my feet and nails were being well taken care of. The total came out to $50 for a gel Spa pedicure, which isn't too much more than the blow-and-go places where I've had poor results and a rushed/chaotic atmosphere. I think it was well worth it!

    I liked this salon when I lived in Flagstaff because they carry Aveda products and because you can go there for lip and brow waxing.

    Amber RUINED my hair. These photos are from the haircut she gave me a week ago. My previous stylist…read moreknew how to create well blended layers, but sadly she moved out of state. In one sitting, Amber destroyed more than a year's worth of perfect haircuts. I have texted her about this (see photo) and her response was "unfortunately there are not many people who can have a cut that is layered, thick and course, well-blended, air-dried, kinked from a ponytail and not freshly brushed and still look great." (My hair had been brushed before I took the photos and had not been in a pony tail, not to mention the fact that previous stylists have been able to make my hair look great.) I asked for a refund. She refused saying I had to give her a chance to "stand by her work" and let her try to fix this. I refused - for obvious reasons. I also discovered that she charged me for my generous (and much regretted) 30% tip based on the cut PLUS merchandise (see photo). When I brought this to her attention she said that's the way SQUARE calculates tips, and if I'd wanted to know how the calculation was being performed I should have asked! I asked her to refund at least the tip since I am clearly not happy. She also refused. So much for standing by your work. Finally after several exchanges she decided to refund only the portion of the tip calculated on the cost of merchandise since there was "some confusion." Luckily I was able to have most of the damage repaired by a competent stylist, though it will take some time for the damage to completely grow out. The stylist who fixed my hair said the cut Amber gave me was "objectively bad," and it looked like she either didn't know what she was doing or didn't care. Either way, buyer beware.
