The person I had didn't even do the color under the pattern that differentiates the nails from the other. She just did all of them one color. I could you not, the paint and design job took about 15-20 minutes total and the only reason it took that long, is because she had to use a magnet to get the cat eye effect. I was charged 85 dollars. My little sister who had much shorter and smaller nails in general because she is 8 years old got charged 55 dollars. Her design was a French tip and had two nail stickers on it. She wanted jewels, but for some reason had her pick stickers instead. I wasn't notified about the price of my nails until half way through my appointment and had no idea about my sisters until we were at the counter. I paid and didn't say anything because I figured it's my fault for not asking earlier... and sense I don't get my nails done very often, it doesn't matter that much. But now I feel justified in my frustration after trying to take them off only to realize they use the ILLEGAL MMA acrylic powder which is SO MUCH CHEAPER and makes the 140 dollar charge in total make no sense at all. Her nails ended up cracking and falling off within a few days. This set took 4 hours to take off with help from my partner because I don't own a nail drill. It completely ruined my nail filer and I used 3/4 of a bottle of brand new acetone. My nails are so sensitive, damaged, and hurt so bad. The MMA smelled disgusting, it was so gummy, and hardened literally 10 seconds after taking my hands out of the acetone which is why it took 4 hours to take off. They are taking advantage of women and little girls who have no idea about how dangerous or what MMA is and how much nails are supposed to cost. Please find somewhere else, or ask to make sure they are using the legal EMA when getting acrylic sets. I will be reporting to the Board of Cosmetology.

We were able to get squeezed into an appointment here with Dee Dee who was absolutely lovely! She's the only one who can do dip powder here so she managed to squeeze us both in back to back appointments the next day. She even mentioned we were allowed to bring in coffee and just sit next to each other while one of us was getting our nails done. Dee Dee really knows what she's doing and did a stellar job with our nails! She also can do some magic with fixing them to perfection if it didn't come out super clean in some spots after dipping so we were very impressed with that! We were both very pleased and it was pretty affordable. Overall, the salon was very clean and a nice relaxing environment to be in. The only thing is this place is CASH ONLY! Other than that, they get pretty busy so we were told to try to book at least two weeks or more out, but Dee Dee gave us her card so that we can text her and she can squeeze us in with any openings. We definitely plan to come back more to get our nails done especially with sweet Dee Dee!

Got a mani-pedi Saturday…read more The woman who worked with me seemed angry at me the whole time, no idea why. The water was very hot initially, so I asked for it to be less so. Then it was cold and she wouldn't adjust it, which was just kind of a bummer. There was not a regular foot file part of the pedicure, so my heels don't have that nice feeling they usually do after a pedicure. My right big toenail was cut at a strange diagonal on one side (it had been straight across when I came in), and this is what my hands look like *three days* after the mani. (And I've barely even done dishes the last three days--no hard labor or anything. I can get over a week when I do my nails myself!) Just very odd and not a good experience, unfortunately. My left toes look good, so 1/4 of the mani-pedi turned out as one would hope?

The first place I tried was a disaster; the water they used was dirty and had debris floating in it--yikes! I left immediately and luckily found Cutie Nail Salon nearby. Upon walking into Cutie, even though they were quite busy with customers, the staff was incredibly courteous and managed to fit me in with a short wait. Though my 20-minute expected wait turned into 35 minutes, the atmosphere was so welcoming that I didn't mind the extra time. Jay was the technician who attended to me, and I can't praise him enough! He was not only pleasant and polite but also exceptionally skilled at his job. My pedicure was thorough, relaxing, and just what I needed after the initial scare. Jay took his time, ensuring that every aspect of the service was perfect, all while being very personable and engaging in conversation. I'm so glad I found Cutie and Jay; I definitely know where I'll be going for my pedicure needs next time I'm in Flagstaff.
