Anne did such an amazing job on my nails! I am from the valley and have put off getting my nails done up here for weeks because I had heard horror stories from other salons. I had high hopes. I really did. First of all, I came in thinking I had an appointment but apparently the one on yelp is linked to someone that has quit. I came back an hour and a half later and I got a white gel manicure and I wanted gold nail art like in this photo. The lines were not clean at all so I just asked her to paint it all gold. She also left my fingers very oily after the appointment. I was also just surpriser of the little to no nail care done on my nails?? Or just no hand massage like they do at other salons??? I'm quite disappointed because I paid $30 for a gel manicure and I'm spending time cleaning up the nailpolish that is on my skin or left under my nails. I'd give this place a 2.5 stars and the person that did my nails was Jamie. After this, I don't think I will ever be going to a nail salon in Flagstaff ever again. Yelp has asked me to review this business. Earlier this week I was a visitor in Flagstaff looking for massage and nail services. I only had Thursday to have a personal day. The Parlor Salon stated "WALK INS WELCOME" Since I couldn't find the business, I called when I was in the parking lot and was told that all of the technicians were booked for the day!!!!!!! but that I could try texting one other technician that keeps her own appointment book. When I finally received a text response, she didn't have anything available either. I explained that the website said that WALK INS were welcome. She texted back that I shouldn't trust everything that I read on the internet. In my home town a lot of nail salons have same day walk in service. This business needs to update their website. ALSO, I drove by the establishment twice before calling. They did NOT have a sign with their name at the top of the building like everyone else. I wish I had gotten before and after pictures. I was so upset at the time that I didn't think about pictures. I got a full set done by Anne for my wedding. I showed her a picture of the black and silver french tip nails I wanted. She was nice to talk to and sorta tried to fix them after I complained but my nails were thick, messy, and sloppy. There were globs of paint. She formed the tips herself which I think added to the thickness and sloppiness of the nails. She spent hardly any time at all smoothing them. It wasn't until later when my nails were done and I was looking at them that I noticed how bad they were. I went back and complained to her and she said that the bumpiness was just because of the glitter polish and that's just how it was going to be. But she did take off the polish and reapplied it and it was slightly less bumpy but the nails were still super thick and sloppy looking. I wanted to rip my nails off. If it wasn't for the fact that I was getting married in a few days I would have just put up with it. But luckily the nail salon at the mall was able to fit me in and they fixed my nails. They shaved down my nails and took off a lot of product. She didn't follow how I wanted the polish to look either, even though I showed her a picture. She was nice, but I will not be returning. She also upsold my mom into getting fake nails when all she needed was a manicure. Their pedicure station is a joke. You just stick your feet in a bucket and sit on a stiff wooden bench. Unlike most places, they don't have massage chairs or massage jets for your feet. Get your nails done at the mall. I'm dead serious. Don't judge a book by its cover read more

I was stuck in a snow storm the biggest one in over 100 years, no flights and the town was shut down and needed my nails done. They were open, warm, welcoming and a beautiful salon. My daughter is 7 and got her very first haircut with Codie here. She was obviously a little reserved because she had never experienced being at a salon before. As we walked in she remarked at how "fancy" it felt. She sat in the chair while we discussed what we were wanting to do with her hair and then it was off to get her hair washed. It was cute how awkward it all was. She let us know how she wasn't a fan of the sink but really enjoyed the head massage with washing. Then off to cut her hair. Codie worked around her watching her tablet and she just all around enjoyed the experience. To top it off we talked about how she wanted to be a nail tech when she grows up and April, who is a nail tech at the salon came over to gush about her hair and was so excited to hear about her future aspirations! She even offered to have my daughter come in and they could do each other's nails. My heart melted, it was too cute! The folks here at The Parlor Salon are fabulous friendly and amazing! Worst pedicure ever. Sitting on a high bench with straight back and water was a basic foot massage machine. Rhonda removed my old polish, put some oil on toes and pushed back cuticles. She did no trimming of cuticles around toes. I have excess cuticles so polish is high on toes and not covering full nail. Ugh. Exfoliate was maybe 5 minutes each foot. Massage even less. Basic polish no gel. Out the door in 30-35 minutes and oh by the way that will be $55.00!! Plus when I got home and could take a closer look I have polish on the skin around my toes. I don't like to give negative reviews but wish someone would have warned me in prior posts so I could have avoided this one. read more

Warning: this is going to be long so buckle up! I visited this salon to get my nails done because I anticipated that my boyfriend was going to propose to me soon. For my first appointment, Kirshawna did my nails and they were quite subpar. She cut my cuticle and made me bleed, so she was unable to paint the nail on that finger and I had to come in the next day when the bleeding had stopped to get it fixed. Less than a week later, the gel polish on that nail had completely fallen off. I hadn't done any strenuous activities or anything that should have caused that. A few days later, the acrylic on that nail started chipping and breaking off and the gel polish on the other nails started chipping and peeling off. This all happened less than two weeks after I got them done. Plus, the full set with just plain gel polish was $60. I didn't get any glitter or extra designs. I have gotten higher quality and more complicated acrylic sets for 2/3 of that price. The nails were not shaped evenly and just looked very tacky. I called the manager to tell her my experience was unsatisfactory and she was very kind. She set me up to get my nails fixed with a different tech at the salon named April who had more experience and lower prices. I did find it odd that the manger was shocked when I told her Kershawna's prices. It was weird that she didn't know the rates of her own employees. Other than that though, I had a positive experience with her. I came in to get my nails fixed by April and I was refunded in full for my previous manicure. My set was not totally redone, but it was done the way a fill is done. I paid half the price for a fill, so I paid $17 to get my nails fixed. She also put glitter on my ring fingers for free. The nails looked very nice and they looked great in my engagement photos. April said she typically charges around $40-$45 for a full set, which is closer to my budget, so I planned on coming to see her again to do my nails for my bridal photos. Almost 2 months later, I texted April to schedule to get a new set for my bridal photos. I had to text her twice in the course of 3 days to get a response from her. She informed me that she was totally booked on the day I wanted to get my nails done and asked if I wanted to give Kirshawna a second chance. I told her I didn't want to risk having bad nails for my pictures and asked her if she could do a different day earlier that week. I had to text her about this a total of three times over the course of 4 days before I received a response. I was told again that she was booked up and was asked again if I wanted to use Kirshawna. I wanted a slightly complicated set, so I told her, again, that I didn't want Kershawna to do my nails and that I was sorry to bother her. I never got a response. I should not have to text someone multiple times to get a simple response about a service I am planning on paying them for. She did not make me feel like a valued customer, especially for someone who gave the salon a second chance. While April did my nails very nicely when she fixed Kirshawna's mistakes, I don't want to give my money to someone who doesn't appreciate or respect me as a customer. I gave them a second chance to leave a good impression, and they blew it. They lost a customer due to unprofessionalism, and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

If you're not a resident of Flagstaff and/or only travelling though, be aware that this place will do a half-arsed job. I had been warned by my nail technician in Chicago not to let the salon here know I wasn't a resident, as she herself admitted to technicians doing less than stellar work if they don't expect or hope for repeat customers. Unfortunately, I forgot this wise advice. I first noted this when I saw the difference between the pedicure my (resident) daughter received and my own. My pedicure technician, April, was a lovely conversationist, although she would stop working whenever she spoke and start again when she finished. I naively assumed that she knew her own schedule and didn't need to rush and that I'd still receive the same pedicure treatment as any other would. However, she did have another customer, and as soon as she learned that she'd arrived, she hustled through and ended up doing a really shoddy job. I was shocked when I came home and finally inspected my pedicure! My heels, balms, and underside of toes looked like they weren't even touched! She barely scrubbed, and I noted this when I realised it felt like a mere tickle. I looked to see if she was using something different, because it was so soft. Now, I realise it only felt like that because she was barely scrubbing. The nail polish on one of them is seeping out onto the top corner and onto my skin. I had to ask her to work out the cuticle skins, as she was clearly ready to move onto the next step. And even this she only did on one toe. She certainly did not give my legs and feet the same luxurious treatment and time spent on my daughter. It was so half-arsed that I don't even recall the exfoliating. In fact, did she?? My feet and toenails look no different than they do when I've done my own unprofessional pedicure at home. And HUGE difference between this pedi and the ones I've received in my hometown salon. As for my shellac mani (Gaby) I can see the tips of my nails and polish streaks! She did a fine job of filing, but couldn't she have seen this herself? Maybe put another coat on?? She didn't massage my hands or arms. When I watched her doing this with my daughter, I pointed it out, and she gave me some excuse about the gel. I couldn't understand it, but I didn't want to push the matter in front of my daughter, so I let it go. I get this exact same shellac manicure at home every 2 to 3 weeks, and they not only give me a hand and arm massage with lotion, but they also massage my neck & shoulders. The shoulder massage - I don't expect that elsewhere. But hands and arms? I have never received a manicure without this. I guess it's true what they say; these girls care more about money than they do about the the customer and quality of work. Both my daughter and myself are offended by this. My daughter didn't want polish, but she was charged the same. Maybe that's normal, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my place at home would never do that. I purchased these things as one of my Mother's Day gifts for my daughter, as this is her first. Instead of leaving feeling good and pampered and happy like I always have before whenever I've left a salon, I left feeling rather blue, actually. I'm not just offended, I really feel hurt by this. I am a gracious customer and, in fact, I never want to come across as entitled. I never grew up with money, nor do I have a lot now, so being this way & getting things like this done - well, it's a treat for me. I've been searching for a great salon in Flagstaff and I've finally found one! I desperately needed my hair done a few months ago and this place was recommended to me through a friend. Brittney did an amazing job- she was able to schedule me in on short notice, fixed the color in my hair, and gave me a trim as well. This place is fairly new and the decor is super cute and relaxing, not to mention all of the staff are very sweet and make for a great experience. Since getting my hair done here, I have been back a couple times for nails and eyelash lifts and have been happy with every single service. This place is definitely pricey and I can't go all the time, but when I can it is definitely worth paying a little extra. We need more places like this in Flagstaff! read more

Nail salon was gorgeous so I thought my nails would look amazing.. Walked out with uncut cuticles and uneven nails. Every nail polish color I liked was dried out. Ended up going with a peachy pink color. Turned orange 3 days later. Definitely do not recommend unless you know that nail tech and they bring colors.
