I was visiting my daughter from Southern California and she took me to Rebel Roots Kitchen Food Truck. It is one of her favorite places to eat. I ordered the Hawaiian Pork Tacos, which there are three. It was very tasty. My daughter ordered their Rebel Bowl. She orders that every time she comes here. They have a small grass area with table and chairs under some trees to eat.

Fun spot at 38 in Whitefish. Really great food and portions. $18 for this so a little pricey but you do get a lot of food and a lot of flavor! Very friendly service and quick. My only complaint is it was overly sauced. I'd asked for half the sauce next time.

Rebel roots...I can't say enough. I was blown away. Not only is the food beautifully presented and colorful, the explosion of flavor is amazing. The crew was equally as amazing. I generally do not seek out vegan cuisine, but this place is so good I had to go back several times during my stay.

With fresh ingredients and a good mix of veggies, blueberries, mango, the PEANUT SAUCE- seriously this place is so worth trying!!! The tofu tacos were great also and a lighter option vs. the bowl. I highly recommend this wonderful little spot- be sure to check out the awesome outdoor seating options they have, like the hammock with a view of whitefish river down below! So amazing! Looking forward to coming back the next time we're out this way!

Rebel Roots Kitchen is incredible and if I were a local I would be eating here once a week! Went with a group of 3 and to say we found heaven on a plate might not be fair to the food. Everything was perfection, flavors were singing in every bite and the cook on the meat, tofu and veggies was nailed. It's a simple menu but it's gluten and dairy free. It offers vegan options, making it truly something for everyone. We were able to order at the truck, go sit down and get our food delivered to us! That was unexpected and appreciated, although I can't imagine they can do that if it's busier. But the service was fast and incredible, and being able to sit outside, in the shade and enjoy a wonderful meal is a great way to go. So if you haven't guessed by now, I highly recommend getting to Rebel Roots and eating all you can, to support them and so I can live through you and your enjoyment of such wonderful food. Enjoy!

Everything on the menu is gluten free and dairy free. The restaurant is a little hard to find. It's in the front right corner of an old bar. Look for the hand written chalk board on the sidewalk in front of the bar. There seemed to be a miss match with this healthy food in an old stale smelly bar. We took our meal to go and ate on the bench in front of the bar outside. We got the pulled pork and Mahi mahi. It was so good ! . The fresh mango sauce was excellent. We even ordered another to go meal after we finished our original meals. We did have a mix up with our last to go order and the lady cooking the food wasn't very helpful and seemed very stressed but the man taking the orders helped resolve the issue. Definitely would recommend it for everyone. Felt great being able to pick anything off the menu.

AWESOME. WE were lucky to be staying at Apres and this truck sits on their property. We tried 3 things because we couldn't decide: pork tacos, Hawaiian pork bowl, and the mahi fish bowl. The mahi was cooked to perfection and ended up being my favorite dish. The pork bowl and tacos were excellent and the mango salsa was next level. Everything was incredibly fresh and made with such skill (and care). The staff was very patient and even gave us extra salsa! There is plenty of outdoor seating next to the truck, including two hammocks!

So good!! In my group of 5 everyone ordered something different and it was five stars all around. I eat gluten free and I was so excited that I could order anything off the menu. The service was great and fast. I would highly recommend!!!

This place is AMAZING! I found it by luck on Yelp and am so glad I did. My husband and i were looking for a place for lunch after a long hike. We ordered the Mahi Mahi bowl and the ahi tuna poke bowl. Both were the BEST MEALS we have had on our entire trip to Glacier (and we've been to some highly rated and expensive places). You won't be disappointed!!

There's nothing better than finding a GF/DF option while on vacation that is actually good. And by good, I mean stellar. My partner and I came here after a long day, we got there 15 minutes before the Rebel Roots truck closed, but they were still super friendly and ready to take our order! I went with the Hawaiian pork bowl and absolutely smashed it. Don't read this wrong, it was still a good size but it was so delicious that it was impossible not to finish. The best part? I didn't feel bloated after and it kept me satisfied. I wish we had something like this back home! My only note is that they are only open until 6 pm - so plan accordingly for lunch or an early dinner! read more

I got the Mahi Mahi Bowl yesterday. The truck was greatly decorated and there was nice outdoor seating with some games. When they said 20-25 minutes, they meant it and even if it was the minimum time they said they'd take they only took 20-25 minutes. The Mahi Mahi tasted really fresh which was really nice and interesting since I think that fish is local to Hawaii. The vegetables added to the freshness but the Mahi Mahi made it a truly filling meal. read more

Loved this spot. Rebel Roots Kitchen was such an unexpected surprise in Whitefish. The food was excellent. We ordered the tofu bowl and pork bowl, and both were incredibly tasty and fresh. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and honestly made our day. The service was just as good as the food. The gentleman taking our order was very polite, helpful, and welcoming, even though we were obviously from (way) out of town. After a week of having non stop steak, burgers, bison, and elk, we wanted something different. This place popped up next to our hotel. Saw that they had bowls and tacos that reminded me of chipotle. I had the ahi poke bowl and husband had the Mahi Mahi. One bite and I felt like I was back in socal. So refreshing. I am not a fan of rice cauliflower but this was amazing! It was warm and had so much flavor. And the fish, I don't know where they get it from but it's fresh and tender. Reminded me of the fish in Hawaii. Have been missing my healthy socal food and this really hit the spot. The guy running it was nice and his dog was there and was so friendly. We took it to go but you can eat it there. There are tables, benches and a couple of hammocks there. Giving Hawaiian vibes. Highly recommend coming here for something refreshing and if you are tired of the heavy food in Colombia and whitefish. read more

THE BEST MEAL we had on our entire trip through Montana and Wyoming. The mahi mahi tacos were over the top delicious, fresh, flavorful and satisfying. The tofu tacos were good too, but completely different taste profile (think peanut forward). Highly recommend if you are in the area. I wish we had stayed in Whitefish on nights we couldnt get a hotel inside of Glacier NP bc of the great food options here. read more

The BEST. Korean tofu tacos I have ever had!!!! These were amazing!!!! My daughter and I each ordered the 3 tacos and by the end of it wished we would have ordered more to go. A little hard to find, it's next to the crepes place inside the bar. We ordered to go and went and sat by the water. What is in that sauce???? I don't live in Whitefish. Not even close, easy bay California. I would love to make these. read more

Absolutely delicious. I got the Hawaiian pork bowl. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and all the flavors paired perfectly together. The pork was salty and delicious. Cauliflower rice was amazing and felt like it added something to the bowl rather than just being a stand in for rice. Great crunch from the cabbage and roasted sunflower seeds and the perfect sweetness from the mango salsa! I just finished my bowl and already want to eat another one Also I should mention that service was prompt and the man and woman running the stand were so kind and easy going Thank you!!! read more

I have eaten at their food truck for several years. First at a farmer's market in colombia falls and then at whitefish, their food is worth a long drive. I get their mahimahi bowl and they customize it to my likes. I would drive 2 hours to get their food. Is that good, and they are super friendly! I have eaten at the outdoor tables right next to the river and have not gone into the bar. Where they also have food on central avenue. read more

What a delightful surprise. I am so thankful we came across Rebel Roots Kitchen while searching for healthy food options in Whitefish. It's challenging to find options that accommodate our gluten-sensitive and dairy-free dietary restrictions as we travel. This one not only accommodated, everything on their menu is GF, DF, and non-GMO (a huge bonus), and it was extremely tasty. I had the mahi mahi bowl and my husband had the pork bowl. Both were delicious and nutritious. My only suggestion is for them to offer canned water other than just sparking canned water for those traveling who might not know to BYOB. The food and service were amazing. So good we intentionally stopped back one last time before leaving the area. Best food we experienced in Whitefish - not what I would have expected from a food truck. read more

Very tasty vegan and gluten free Korean bbq tacos. Not exactly Korean bbq flavored but delicious nonetheless. We tried to get tacos a second time and were disappointed to find they were closed on Tuesday's (despite Yelp hours) Stop by for a well made savory taco or 6! read more

Sweet Baby Jesus! This was the tastiest, freshest, heart-filled meal we've had in months. I love trying new vegetarian dishes and my partner ordered the pork bowl...we were speechless. You can tell that she LOVES making this delicious dream come true. We've seen the lines at the Farmer's Market and now we understand why. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.

I give Rebel Roots a 5-star review. Stefanie (my mom) works so hard to make sure the customers get what they need and get healthy food fast! I've gone there many many times. The last time I went was yesterday because it's my moms restaurant and I want to support her. It smelled like my mom's really good food when I walked into the Palace. The feeling was cozy and dark. There were tables and booths to choose from. I sat in a booth close to the kitchen. She brought me my drink and took my order quickly. There were a lot of options on the menu. I ordered her organic red thai curry soup. It's gluten and dairy free. It was the best soup I ever tasted. It had starchy potatoes and multi-colored bell peppers. I also ordered a poke bowl with raw fish, cauliflower rice, and a variety of delicious vegetables and sauces. I really recommend this restaurant If you're looking for healthy, and good food. I highly recommend Rebel Roots kitchen because it is the best organic gluten and dairy free food in Montana!
