Scheduled a 9am move and was called at approx. 8am and told that "the truck was being serviced and they wouldn't be able to make it until between 11:30-noon. My wife and received a call at around 12:15pm claiming they would be en route in 15min. We are told at 1:30pm that they would be arriving in 30min. Although they were pleasant once they finally showed up they were inefficient to the point that it appeared they were dragging their feet in order to increase the price. We leave the property at the same time to go to the new place, and although I stopped to get money to pay them in order to avoid the surcharge for using card to pay, I still beat them to the residence by 20 plus minute. my wife calls them again to see where they were, they claim they couldn't find the house...I was sitting in the driveway watching them?? They pull up with 15min to spare. This timing guarantees they will go over the 4hr time frame, charging us for an additional hour. I wouldn't rehire these guys to move me across the street. What should have been a $400 move plus gas ended up costing me $600!! If I could give a rate of negative star...I would!! read more

They arrived right inside the 2 hour window they gave me and called me 30 minutes out like they said they would. I was paying for and expected on 2 movers, but they sent 3 to get it done faster, which saved me an extra hour at $89.there were 4 large and heavy pieces to maneuver out of a bedroom and into their truck. There's not a scratch or any blemish after they loaded out. AND they made an extra stop for me to take a couch to a friend's home after the donation drop off. In Sum: Amy experience with RMS was pretty great. Let's be candid, moving in general is expensive and tiring, but what RMS does is help eliminate the stress of the move for you by providing timely and attentive service. I moved out of my 1 bedroom 1 bathroom on the fifth floor and into another 1/1 on the first floor. When I've used movers in the past, I've felt like I was an additional mover (trying to keep it timely) but RMS sent over three (3) of their movers who were on top of their game from the get. David, Steve, & Kedrick did a great job lugging my entire apartment down a long hallway and five stories (there was an elevator of course) on a HOT Dallas afternoon. They were friendly, took care of my items, and kept the move going regardless of the heat. Customer service of this business is also great. I booked this move very last minute, but they accommodated my schedule (literally within two (2) days). Also, thre are inevitably things that happen during a move, one of my wheels on a standup desk broke. However, they paid me for what it would cost to get a replacement part right away. Including tax and shipping. Thus, I was a very happy customer at the end of the day and I would certainly recommend this business to anyone. I used YELP to send out bids for my move from Dallas to Katy. I got many responses. James , owner RMS, was responsive in accommodating my date and time quickly. I asked for a flat price-- no hourly charges--- no surprises at the end I got a " reasonable" bid . Please note, nowadays with gas prices -- many movers definitely are up charging us --James once again is more reasonable and definitely competitive. If you can, ask for the movers-- Jonathon and Alex, they are a good team --- fast, efficient, diligent with clear up front communications. Where do I even begin? I guess I should start with I am 100% OCD and extremely picky... I have moved SO many times, with a ton of different movers. I have nightmare stories with different moving companies for days, even the large, well known companies. I called this company as well as about 25 others to price everything out with my current move. From the second I spoke to the guy who answered the phone, to the last piece of furniture that was moved in... it was incredible. Not only did zero of my belongings break, no holes in walls, zero damage to the new and old home... but the workers have such great energy and are there to get the job not only done, but done well. Horrible I didn't even want to leave 1 star. They promised to show up between 9-11 am on June 1st, I had to call to confirm which should have given me a clue of what's to come. I received a text at 9:46 am stating that my movers were running behind due to "maintenance on the truck" but they would be at my mother's house no later than noon. They showed up at 1:45 pm in a new truck! My guess is that they were running late because of a prior move went over. When he went over the contract, he stated that if they go over the allocated time whether it's 1 minute or 60 minutes I would be charged for the hour. I had no problem with the rule, but I had problems with them trying to get me to adhere to the rule. I asked for him to confer with his manager and I guess he and the manager or he just decided not to negotiate and left my 78 year old mom stranded. The other mover kept complaining about how hard moving was which was unprofessional. Most people knows that moving can be challenging but we hire experts that should made moving look easy and never complain to the customer. Asking them to wave the over the time limit fee wasn't an unreasonable request especially since their name is REASONABLE MOVING SERVICES! read more

I am very disappointed in the service I received. The two gentlemen were fine. It started all wrong when no one bothered to call me when they didn't show up on the date that was scheduled. I had appointments the next day which is why I scheduled for Sunday service. They came on Monday instead of my scheduled appointment of Sunday. I missed my appointments. When they came they had 3 movers I asked for 2. The older gentleman begged me for a tip because he had 3 guys. It still took them 4.5 hours to complete and at the end he asked me for a tip again. He drank water out of my sink with his hands several times. My dining room table was nicked, the closet door was scratched, my exercise equipment had a tear and plastic handle bar scraped up, and I just went to hook up my bedroom tv and my fire stick is gone! I never took it out of the tv when they broke everything down. I had to pay $565 and a $20 tip. This is unacceptable. I sent them an email (because that's how they've been communicating with me) there has been no response. I would not recommend them at all. read more

Do NOT trust these people to show up, or be truthful with you. I needed to move from a 4 bedroom house to an apartment about a quarter mile away. I scheduled my move with them many days in advance for an arrival time of 1-3 pm. We confirmed the appointment at least twice with them before the move date. On the date and about 1pm, I got a call telling me they were on a big job and would be a few hours late. I pressed the caller that I needed assurances they would actually show up THAT DAY, but 2-3 hours late would be ok. I got another call about 3:30 to tell me they could not come that day because they were still on a move, AND 2 hours drive time away (who would schedule jobs like this?). They also told me no other crews were available and that they could not fit me in the next day either because they were all booked up. They did suggest I call the office back to reschedule sometime the following week (are you kidding me!?!!) A couple of days later, I got an email asking when they could reschedule and saying they were sorry they couldn't make the appointment due to inclement weather, and of course, they couldn't CONTROL THE WEATHER. This was a complete lie, as the weather had NOTHING to do with it. They left me stranded and cost me a fortune in lost time and unforeseen costs to make different arrangements. I'm thinking I could sue for breach of contract. What do you think? read more

I used their service twice in last 4 months. First move with them was really excellent. they were late however they finished the mover in just 1hr. (7 mile move. freeways were used to quickly reach destination) Second move was somewhat slow (for less items than what I had in the first move.) I asked them if they can use freeways or tollways to reach the destination address faster however that was not accepted and movers used the city roads (which used up around 1hr on the road - freeways could have been just half the time). In both the cases I am happy and will probably use their service in future. read more

I had two amazing movers come on Friday. They were on time, I had 2 flights of stairs and they made the move in about 3.5hours! They were polite took care of my items and even asked if there was more that could be done! The only reason I took away one star was not due to the movers but due to the pricing they do not prorate and there is a $30 charge for using a credit card. read more

Completely unprofessional. The person sending the emails/texts writes EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPS, AND DOESN'T USE PROPER ENGLISH OR COMPLETE SENTENCES. I'm okay with the 2 hour minimum and even the $60 "fuel charge", but when 3 guys show up and only 1 of them is working hard, it confirmed I made a mistake picking this service. One person was completely unprofessional, one person was really trying their best, that person deserves credit. The third person knew what they were doing, but was really slow. It was so slow and poorly planned, they made 2 trips and charged me for 5 hours. They will pressure you to tip. And they don't tell you about the $30 "fee" for using your credit card until the end, unless you pay cash. They damaged my bookshelf's and damaged the property I was moving from. I used this moving company for my recent move from Frisco to Ft. Worth. They made the moving experience stress-free. My first comment will be about the affordable price. Their 3-person service was much more affordable than other companies 2-person price by a lot! The "man-in-the-sky" stayed in touch with me via text and email until the move date. He were even kind enough to reschedule my move at the last minute without any additional charges. On moving day, the "man-in-the-sky" texted me that the truck was on the way and gave me the names of the employees. The movers called me about 30 minutes away from the pickup site and arrived early. They were courteous, careful, and quick. They delivered my household goods much quicker than I expected and didn't damage a single thing. I highly recommend this company. Note: I don't normally comment on other people's experiences, because everyone's experience is different. However, I felt the need to comment on one of the reviews left by an "elite" Yelper. I think her reference to the employees as decent "humans" should tell anyone all you need to know about her "review." read more

Used them for the first time this Friday for a move, and happy I did. From the first interaction with getting an estimate they were very informative to all the questions I asked. They confirmed everything and checked in to confirm a week before and a few days before. They showed up during the window they provided. And moved me within the two hour time slot. I was nervous because it took longer than I anticipated to move out, but boy were they moving, moving me into my new place. Literally went by very quickly.
