The quote was the most reasonable in my are. My only problem with the company was the manner in which they wanted payment. I was told when they arrived for the move that if they went one minute over the 2 hour minimum that there would be another $89 added to bill. Also they excepted tips. I was then told if I used a check or credit card there would be a $30.00 fee added to cover their expenses. I found it interesting that they didn't provide this information when scheduling the appointment. I wasn't prepared to pay with cash, but was told I could go to bank! I really liked using Reasonable Moving services (Carrollton, TX). My move took 2 days and they were late both days.... They called to communicate that to me so that was good. Other than that the team did a tremendous job taking care of my belongings by wrapping and using blankets to prevent damage. If you want a company that has lazy workers, breaks their contract, targets women, and does not provide full services. I was recommended by a friend who did not have such a crazy experience. Scheduling was a breeze. However, the men did not show up with the proper truck. They promised a 19 footer and showed up with a 16 footer. The "supervisor" James, was very sure that 3 foot on a truck did not make a huge difference. Anyone with math skills can know that 3 x3 x 10 would have made a huge difference. I'd like to note that I had a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. The men showed up, and milked the clock because I was a single female using their services. What should have been a 3 hour move max, was a 5 hour move. In those 5 hours they only cleared 20% of my apartment and were very sure that taking any boxes would eat into my moving time. To go back, they wanted an additional hourly rate. These men DID NOT reassemble the things that they disassembled in these 5 hours. They also did not grab a single box! Only furniture was taken. To top it all off, they broke a part of my headboard and SAID NOTHING. Tried to cover it up with a tacky glue job. (See photos) My husband, who was deployed, called and spoke to James who was condescending by telling him that "anything the movers don't get on the first move, a second trip will be made on us" but when it was time for that to happen James tried to flip the script on me. I commend these men for moving "heavy" furniture in Texas heat but it absolutely should not have taken that long. What's even more infuriating is that James as a supervisor, was unavailable to hear my complaints. He ignored my phone calls when I did call to complain and once the movers were done, he suddenly was available to tell me that "I didn't complain earlier, so why am I complaining now". I am disgusted by the misogyny that took place during this move and the way that things were handled. I don't recommend this company to anyone. They are crooks who won't get the job done. Update in response to management: your company offered to get my 20 boxes for an extra hourly fee - I was at 5 hours and y'all expected me to pay you for another three hours for what should have been done in 3 hours already. You did not discount my move. If so, where's my refund? also, I did tell the movers not to reassemble because it would have taken them over 2 hours to do 30 mins of reassembling because they were trying to milk the clock. read more

Two men came in a pinch after we were scheduled to have three, but they were so efficient I would venture to say they did what three movers from any other company likely would have done in the same stretch of time. Nice guys, too. Only drawback was lack of communication from the company about the credit card processing fee. At any rate, the cc machine was down that day (also not communicated), so cash was the sole option. Still, we managed to get the cash together and in doing so felt good overall about the experience. I had some high hopes of this moving company actually being decent human beings due to being recommended by someone I know. The company offers a morning and afternoon arrival time for the moving services. I picked the afternoon arrival due to my schedule that day. On the day of my move, I received a call around 10am from one of the moving employees who would be helping with the move that day. He says "the morning move was cancelled by the client, so we are wanting to come early". I told him that I would need them to arrive the earlier an hour earlier due to the things I needed to get done that morning. He goes on to say "well we will just be sitting around not getting paid, so we will have to reschedule." So just because they have to sit around for 2 hrs, that became my problem? It was the most unprofessional conversation I have ever had. I should have taken that as a red flag and cancelled right away, but I have the owner a chance to smooth things over. He was able to get some other people to come do the move. When the two guys showed up, they were high as a kite. I could see their red eyes and I could smell the weed on them like they just hot boxed the truck they were in I still gave them a chance to do the right thing and get the move done in a reasonable amount of time. They moved extremely slow, not being productive with the time. It felt and looked like they were just running up the time to get a bigger paycheck. I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment. It took them 4 hours to do so. I also only had them move the big furniture, which was literally only 10 items After this, I reached out to the owner and left him plenty of opportunity to make this better, but it seems like he received his money and nothing else mattered mattered. I received a call at 2:30pm saying they will be late due to their previous job. Kendrick was nice and considerate enough to let me know. But the owner no so much. we discovered last night after having these movers come out to our house that they had stolen two Nintendo switches, along with games in a total of $1018. I had to file a police report this morning on the two gentlemen. The company is calling me a liar, saying that I miss placed the items but I have a police report stating that the items were stolen. I have Nintendo locating the items with the serial numbers of both Nintendo switches that we own the customer service at this company is awful. The woman that runs the email is extremely rude. And I've never heard of a move taking seven hours for a two bedroom. this company is awful. I found Reliable Moving Services on FB. Within the hour they responded to my message. In less then 24 hours I received my mother's items out of storage and in our home in under 2 hours. They met me at the storage facility, went over the paper work, and immediately started loading the truck with care. They where polite, courteous and handled my mother with care as she got in their way with her walker. They put her items in her room and the rest in the garage. They did not dirty my white walls while bringing in the items. If I had more money I would have tipped them more. read more

They were kind, they were professional, and most importantly they took great care with my fragile items. In the past I have used other moving companies who made the most they could by working slow and taking forever wrapping things that didn't need to be. This was not my experience with Reasonable Moving Services whatsoever. They only padded and wrapped what needed to be, and they even paid attention to details when I had them putting a number of things in the garage, pointing out things like how they found the box that my toaster was in, and putting brooms and mops by the door where they would be easily accessible to me. They did kind things they did t have to do, which means a lot to me. I do not have one single complaint, which even surprises me because they are a moving company! Great pricing to be honest. I just wish it was prorated but it's understandable. I had booked a 2 hour 1 bed move for 2 guys and a truck. They missed the arrival window by a few but made sure to notify me well ahead of time which I appreciated. I only had large furniture moved so it wasn't too much work. I wasn't there but my girlfriend says they were professional and nice. The move was pretty quick, the only downside for us was we had it during traffic time which had our time hit the 3 hour mark. Honestly worst moving company I've ever hired. My fiancé had to help them multiple times with moving things. They asked if they were done multiple times when furniture was still unassembled and they broke my bed frame. They assembled my bed frame said it was assembled. we my dog likes to hang out under the bed. I looked under to check on him and they did not put the additional legs on my bed they were just laying on floor. I immediately pulled my dog out because the bed could of collapsed and severely injured him. I pulled the mattress off and found a portion of the wood cracked, screws sticking out not even screwed into wood and multiple screws stripped. I immediately contacted the person I made the appointment with who didn't apologize and said he was out of town and would have to contact the movers. I texted him a picture of the damage and he texted me today. Pictures attached. They are trying to say the damage was already there which one is untrue and two why would the mover lie and say it was assembled then? If you like your furniture and good customer service pay a little more money and hire a different company. They offered to refund me which I accepted and thanked them. They then stated they would get back to me. It has now been nine days since that conversation. *UPDATE* Since the owner responded here are the screenshots from the text exchange. I requested 2 guys for 2 hours. They instead sent 3 guys for 2 hours and charged me more than we agreed to. Then, after they finished the work, they told me they have a 30% surcharge for card and that I would have to get cash for them. Again, it was not disclosed before they arrived. This is the second time we've used Reasonable Moving Services. Their pricing is unbeatable, though note that I don't believe they're insured. After some research on moving insurance, I realize it's really a marketing gimmick, especially if you have relatively valuable items. The minimum coverage is paid out by the pound of the item broken (I believe 60 c/lb), so let's say the moving company drops my 600 lb baby grand piano. I'd only get $360, which does NOT cover its value of $2000. Get what I mean? Sure, an insured moving company may sell you on additional insurance coverage, but why am I paying at least double RMS' rate for the lowest level coverage? We concluded we didn't want to pay the premium for a company that is insured, especially as the team did a great job on our first move back in 2016. Anyways, back to our recent move in June 2020, the 3 man team did a great job on my 3 bedroom home. They were done in about five hours (single story to single story, including transit). They had face masks on since we're amidst COVID times, which was appreciated. The team was professional, courteous, and busted their butts - it was a HOT texas evening. I will say they didn't seem to come prepared with water/hydration, so I offered some gatorades and water bottles we had stocked up on for ourselves to help hydrate the move. I hope they learn for next time to bring plenty of drinks for themselves. I haven't discovered any broken or damaged items except one large dresser has a scuff on one corner that's barely noticeable, and the kitchen trash can was dented. Small price for a quick, cheap move - I didn't throw a fit. Regarding communication, we had a very complicated window of availability that constantly changed due to changing closing dates and times of our new home (thanks, COVID). Whoever manages the phone (ps, it also receives/sends text messages) was VERY accommodating, understanding, and relatively responsive. We communicated mainly through text after the initial phone calls and I had a response within 3 hrs every time. I wouldn't hesitate to book these guys again. read more

I used Reasonable Moving Services for my move. The team of two movers were awesome and did a great job. They moved everything with care and all of my items arrived intact. They were very friendly and skilled at their job. I have no complaints about the movers. If I have to complain about something it would be the 30 dollar fee for using a credit/debit card and also the the time not being prorated. However, they were upfront about these two issues when they arrived so it was not a complete shock. Overall a very good experience and I would use them again and also recommend them. I hired this company to move me from my apartment and they quoted me that it would possibly take 2 hours to move me from my apartment which had no stairs and no appliances and there were three things to break down, my queen bed, my office desk and my sectional in the living room it took these two men 5 hours to move me not only that we moved less than 2 miles away from my apartment into a storage unit that had a cart to load the items to bring up to the second floor but they didn't work tog to get my things moved. One stood upstairs twiddling his thumbs and the other was walking back and forth in the truck trying to decide what to put on the cart to bring upstair. After I mentioned this to management he showed my review to the driver and he had the audacity to text my cellphone telling me that black women always want something for nothing and nothing is ever good enough they didn't even have a break that day or even use the restroom and it's sad how black women act like that. I explained that first this had nothing to do with the color of his skin but the manner in which they handled my move my family and I could have moved my furniture in less time and it wouldn't have been damaged and for him to come to work smelling like weed was ridiculous you want to call me out but I bet you didn't tell your boss you texted me? They eventually paid me for 4 hours of that took for delivering my furniture but when I went to pick my things up from storage when I moved three weeks ago this is the damage I saw. I wouldn't recommend this company. I broke down all of my furniture and even moved it all to one room. I didn't have too many items, and two of them were heavy items. When the movers arrived, there was an old frail gentleman and a young and in shape gentleman. When the older gentleman walks in, he immediately starts complaining about moving my things. After he's done complaining they have me sign paperwork and start the time 10min before my signature (although they say the time doesn't start until you sign the documents). After signing the docs and starting the time, they try to find a parking spot for the truck. Mind you, my time has started and they haven't even set up yet. After moving the truck, the older gentleman tells me they may have to reschedule the move because they see wasps outside. I was pretty fed up at that point and let them know I didn't need the services any longer. I called the company to cancel and all they literally said was 'oh I'm sorry that happened'. I really didn't have much to move. But what they did move they made to damage. Two guys came. Moved my bedroom set. Scratched up my bed, poked holes underneath my dresser, and has so much mud on my actual mattress I had to wipe it down. To add insult to injury, the move only took an sold hour. Which should been 75.00 dollars. But because of they gas fee ended up paying 180.
